To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
In this special swarm, you may encounter and catch TWO Eevee instead of one! Two will be rolled at once. You're free to take either or both or neither as you see fit.
There are still no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
This swarm closes at 11:59pm site time on June 30. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
After the Buneary swarm, it seemed that there was now another swarm to contend with in Route 1; this time, with eevees! And Andrew, having been happy with the luck that he had in finding Bonbon, was willing to try again; going on a simple walk through the route, with Inari at his side. The inquisitive Vulpix, meanwhile, would be sniffing about everywhere; eager to look for the pokemon who were swarming here today. Which, from what he head, were Eevee; and they were swarming in droves!
In fact, it wouldn't be long before a pair of shapes would run across their path, in the middle of play; just what would the duo be finding here today? Inari the Vulpix - Level 11 - 5/5 Energy
Shadow was trying very hard to pretend he wasn't jealous of the way his trainer practically skipped across Route 1 in her eager anticipation of finding an Eevee. "A whole swarm of them, Shadow!" she'd said at one point, to which Shadow had just pretended to be concentrating on maintaining his Eevee illusion to avoid responding. He knew Julia still loved him, of course—they'd been best friends for years—but still, would it have killed her to pretend to be a little less excited?
Then again, Julia had never had much in the way of tact...
"There they are!" Julia's excited cry snapped Shadow out of his thoughts. Sure enough, a whole group of Eevee was gathered in the clearing ahead, some relaxing in the grass, some chasing each other, some sitting and chatting. Most were the typical brown color one would expect from an Eevee, but a few blue-ish ones were also scattered among the bunch.
"Okay, Shadow," Julia said, "get out there and make some friends!"
He couldn't help but smile at that. Leave it up to Julia and her oblivious innocence to lighten the mood.

An Espeon and an Eevee; one male, and one female. Both were playing as they wrestled in the middle of the road - and even if the Eevee was a bit of a more easy going sort, it seemed the Espeon was eager to let out all that boundless energy that he had built up..! Endeared. Andrew couldn't help but sit down and watch them play from afar; glancing to Inari, who was watching closely as well. However, even that being said, he could see the slight excitement in the way her ears twitched and she kneaded at the ground with her paws...
... After having been cooped up for awhile, it seemed Inari wanted to play and make friends! Laughing gently, Andrew would pat Inari on the head, suggesting gently "Why don't you go say hi to them?" with a warm smile. Inari, near-immediately, was more than happy to oblige; trotting up to the duo, with a gentle and friendly yip.
The two playing pokemon would untangle from each other; curious to see who had greeted them. Seeing the comparatively larger and stronger Vulpix, they would both be a little shy initially, but... Inari's playbow and wagging tails seemed to be enough to tell them that she didn't mean any trouble; she just wanted to play, too! Of the two, the Espeon would be the first to take Inari up on this offer; pouncing forward, and lightly nipping her! The Eevee would be right behind as well; chasing after the Espeon, and tackling into her once more!
The three pokemon would play for some time; Andrew watching from a distance all the while, smiling gently. When the three finally began to tire out one by one, they'd softly pant as they laid out across the road; basking in the warm sun, made even warmer and more soothing with Inari's presence. Andrew, laughing gently, stood up to approach them; happy to see that the trio got along with each other so well. "Hey there," He'd greet the Eevee and Espeon both - smiling gently. "How would you both like to come with me, hm? You both seem to get along well with Inari; and I think she'd like to be able to play some more with the two of you, sometime. How's that sound?"
Holding out two pokeballs, Andrew would offer them to the duo; waiting to see what they'd decide. OOC: Catching Eevee with a Luxury Ball, and Espeon with a Premier Ball
Eevees and Eeveelutions on Route one? How could Sonia say no to a visit and see if she could befriend some more friends herself? Especially after the talk with Sid about their favorite Eeveelutions, and realizing that Sonia couldn't really pick just o e that she would call her favorite. So why try to hide her love for the very adaptable line of Pokemon? And it never hurt to have more Pokemon right? There were people with larger amounts of Pokemon than what she currently had. And with a farm now that she could always use some help with and lots of extra space it didn't hurt right?
Yes, while on the back of her Ponyta she was trying to reason with herself that it was alright to want more Pokemon while she rode out for the day. Valiant needed to exercise, the Ponyta happily trotting along with his passenger and a special blanket Sonia had bought just for this kind of use. Prince was sitting in front of the girl, admiring the world as it went by while Darling was hanging over Sonia's shoulder as they moved. She was eager to meet some new friends too, especially if they played nicer than Kusan.
eevee is overrated says the lady who would do IV breeding if possible xD;;
An Eevee was one of the most valuable Pokemon one could acquire in today's Pokemon breeding scene. Not because of its extensive egg group--in fact, every Eevee evolution, even those with quite unique typing, all shared only one egg group: the field egg group--but because they were ridiculously popular and were one of the most versatile of Pokemon out there. Next to a Ditto it would be the obvious choice for a breeder to posses. So why didn't Maeve have one? Simply put: she didn't find Eevee all that impressive.
Their egg group was limited to one, and while the field egg group was large, she preferred having Pokemon who dipped into two of those groups for versatility. Eevee's evolutionary forms were also a little lackluster to her. While people admired the cuteness of Sylveon or the energy of Jolteon, all she could think was that there were superior Pokemon of the same type in the world. If looks were all that one valued then she'd argue that there were similarly typed cuter Pokemon in the world than the "Eeveelutions". But popularity was popularity, and who was she to go against the trends of the masses.
Besides, as little as she liked Eevee personally. she could admire that it was the only Pokemon in the world with so many evolutionary options. Next to Alcremie, whose forms were all purely cosmetic, they were best suited for a trainer who loved to collect "sets". A full team of "Eeveelutions" wouldn't be the strongest, nor the most versatile, but it was a theme that could win envy and praise alike.
So off down route one she went, looking for the alleged little brown beast, hoping that at the very least this would be worth her while. If nothing else it was an excuse to take her own eggs for a walk and get them a step closer to hatching. Now where were the little mutts...
“Found any yet, Sen?” Gabe asked the Lucario for the nth time that treck. The Lucario side eyed him and shook his head. That wasn’t how this…. Worked, exactly. He sensed the life energy around them to a certain extent, but it wasn’t like he could pin point what was what all that easily. Gabe rolled his eyes. What was the use of aura if it couldn’t do something as simple as hone in on an individual? Even if telepathy was kind of a waste of space in crowds too. Closing his eyes a moment, Gabe reached out with his mind searching for any signs of the Eevee conglomerate.
The news had been especially excited to talk about them: their colors were rather impressive. Gabe, however, had just always been a vague fan of the Eeveeloutions. He had a few of his own already and was itching to complete the set eventually. This was just one step towards that— if they could find them, anyways.
A pair of quick yips caught Maeve's attention and she looked towards the undergrowth. Ah, there were two little brown Eevee, both around average size and completely normal in coloration, rolling around there. They also both appeared to be female by the shape of their fur. Hmm. That was unfortunate. If she could have found a pair for breeding this would be much easier. Maeve sighed and procured an empty pokeball and then the one that held Attie, and another that held Duckling. If nothing else, this would be good training for them.
"Attie, go for the one on the right. Duckling, on your left."
In a beam of white light, both the egg-like shape of Duckling and Attie's more turtle-ish appearance took shape, and at that moment both Eevee took notice of them. One took a step back, head tilted like it was unsure whether or not she wanted to battle, but the other let out an excited bark and rushed straight into Duckling, who let out a small yelp. Ah. That one was quite rash, wasn't she.
"Pound, Duckling. Attie, change of direction: attack this one." I don't really want to deal with an overly excitable Eevee. One is enough for me. Duckling flailed her little stubby arms and let out a shrill squeal, smacking into the face of the rowdier Eevee. Attie then rushed at its side to knock it asunder. The Eevee, properly double-teamed, fell and let out an angry cry. Yes, two against one wasn't very fair, but she would be fine. The other Eevee then kicked some sand into Attie's eyes. Maeve smiled. Alright, that one is a little stronger as well. Good. She would pick the calmer, stronger one to catch.
The battle was swift, and not too unfair. A few more tag-team hits from Attie and Duckling and the weaker Eevee fell aside, rushing back into the brush. The other, stronger one whined. Maeve pointed the empty pokeball right for her. "I'm sorry, dear, but I promise you will be well taken care of in my shop. I just don't need two of you right now. Attie, Duckling, once again?"
A few more swift attacks and the stronger Eevee was weakened enough, and Maeve tossed out the pokeball right at her back.

Eevee, the evolution Pokemon. The evolution Pokemon, Eevee. Eeveeution. Arceus, whoever came up with these names deserved a slow and agonizing death.
Senara was riding atop the back of her ever faithful Chanceux the Steelix, humming to herself as she went. She was looking for an Eevee not because she didn't already have one--she did, in fact, and he was a shiny to boot--but actually because of the fact that he was a shiny. Lune was a lovely specimen but that was exactly what he was: a shiny Pokemon meant to evolve into a shiny "Eeveelution". And Senara was horrible when it came to decisions. She wasn't sure which of the many different forms of Eevee would look best shiny! And she already had a perfectly fine (if not a bit bratty) Vaporeon, so she didn't need another, even if it did turn pink. So Senara decided that if you can't choose which evolution to go with, why not just find something to breed him with?
She wasn't a breeder, and really had no experience with Pokemon eggs outside of the eggs she was currently carrying--one was so precious to her that she had put it in a specially designed incubator, and she couldn't WAIT for it to hatch--but how hard could it be? She could have bred Lune with Malchance but...again, bit of a brat. Both of them were. She didn't want any baby Eevees to inherit both of their attitude problems.
Because she was one to talk.
I wonder if Pokemon intentionally look for just-as-emotionally-shitty humans to train 'em.
She looked down at Chanceux, who was rolling along at a calm pace, and gave him a small hug from her spot on the back of his head. Nah. She had too many nice, calm, and kind Pokemon for that theory to be true. Only some of them were jerks. That didn't say anything about her own personality, right? It was all just a lot of coincidence.
Shadow, with his head held high, trotted into the group of Eevee like he belonged there. His eyes fell on a huge Eevee standing by himself, looking around. When the Eevee noticed Shadow, his ears perked up, and he dashed over so quickly that Shadow had to step out of the way to avoid getting run over. The Eevee didn't seem deterred, though, skidding to a stop, turning around to face Shadow, and wagging his tail eagerly.
"Hi!" the Eevee squeaked. "I don't think I've seen you before. Are you new?"
Wow, this guy reminded Shadow of Julia... "I'm here with my trainer," Shadow replied. "We wanted to—"
"You have a trainer?! That's so cool! I want one!"
Despite being interrupted, Shadow grinned. This was going to be easier than he'd expected. "Well, you're in luck, then! I bet Julia would love to—" Shadow let out a surprised yip as something suddenly tugged on his tail, shattering his illusion and revealing him as a Zorua. He flopped onto his belly, limbs splayed out, and frowned. Why did that always have to happen?!
"Ha, I knew it!" a new voice said from behind him. "This guy's not an Eevee at all!" One of those blue-ish Eevee walked into view; this one was smaller than average, making his companion look even bigger in comparison.
The larger Eevee giggled. "Good one, bro. Hey, this not-Eevee says he has a trainer! Ooh, I bet that's her!"
Shadow followed the Eevee's gaze to see Julia walking up to them. "Hey!" she said, raising one arm at the elbow in a wave. "Déjà vu, huh, Shadow?"
Shadow puffed air upward to straighten up the tuft on his head, then stood up.
"Aww, it's okay," Julia said, scratching him behind the ear. "You did great."
The larger Eevee bounded forward at that point, squeaking excitedly at Julia. Julia laughed and reached down to scratch behind the Eevee's ear with her other hand. "Aww, hey there! Do you wanna be friends?" The Eevee squeaked his enthusiastic agreement, which Julia beamed at. She turned to the other Eevee, the blue-ish one. "What about you? You two seem like friends."
"Brothers!" the brown Eevee squeaked.
The blue Eevee didn't seem quite as eager as his brother, but he at least stepped forward to sniff at Julia. He tilted his head, thinking, while the brown Eevee watched hopefully. Shadow recognized the mischievous glint that flashed through the smaller Eevee's eyes, but Julia didn't seem to notice it; instead, her grin grew even bigger when the Eevee stepped forward and sat down right in front of her.
"Yay!" Julia cheered. She fished two Poké Balls out of her pack. "All right, in you go!"

"Hey Star, you ready to meet your relatives?"
It was a breezy afternoon, and Lynn was in a fairly good mood. Wolfram flew up above her head, fluttering against the gusts of wind that threatened to blow him off course, while Starburst trotted up ahead, scouting out for any sign of the Eevees that were supposed to be swarming here.
She didn't reply to Lynn's jesting with much except a slight wag of her fox-like tail. Of course, the Umbreon wasn't doing all of the work.
Wolfram wasn't just flying up ahead for fun. He too was keeping an eye out for Eevees, and Lynn herself wasn't strolling peacefully down the path. No, she was checking bushes, zig-zagging across the route and generally keeping an eye out at ground level.
“Vee!” A soft cry had both Gabe and Sen looking around and then at one another. Gabe’s brows knit, and Sen’s did in turn. Closing his eyes, Sen sensed the area slowly before finally making a directional point right. Gabe only nodded and walked slowly that way. Looking up over some brush, Gabe saw a pair of Eevee: one normal one special colored, playing with one another. Sen had come to stand next to him causing Gabe to look up at him and smirk. Found them.
‘They haven’t notices us yet, let’s make this quick, Sen. One Aura Sphere or so should do it…’ Gabe was instructing telepathy. Sen frowned, not entirely pleased with the prospects of breaking up harmless play for a battle— let alone ambushing them. He may have been a serious Pokemon, but he was serious about leaving others to their own devices as well and… sigh. Gabe looked sideways at him and offered a small smile back. ‘We’re catching them either way…’ came the psychic thought. Sen knew. But still.
Before either of them could do anything else, however, the Eevee pair had noticed the obscenely large Lucario and his human trainer. The smaller Eevee immediately leapt in front of the bigger one and gave a cry! <Leave my little brother alone!>
“Little…” Gabe repeated aloud. Had he heard that right? A small laugh escaped from him as he found himself sure she meant younger rather than little. Well, all the more reason to catch them together, then. “They’ve already noticed us, might as well, yeah?” Gabe asked aloud now. Sen sighed held his paw forward… and launched an Aura Sphere their way. The Eevee pair yelped in response taking damage as the blue sphere bounced off one and then smashed into the other.
They went down hard, but the smaller of the Eevee struggled to her feet again and gave a cry of defiance. She wasn’t done yet! Forming a Swift, she sent stars crashing at the Lucario…. Who took it reasonably well, really. It gave the other Eevee time to release his own Swift as well, but again the Lucario took it reasonably well. Stepping forward, Sen released another Aura Sphere and downed them both hard this time. Grabbing two premier balls, Gabe tossed them at the Eevee pair.
