Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself?

Describe herself? Soph chewed her bottom lip a moment before shrugging helplessly. "I'm... I'm driven," she started, doing her best to keep things as positive as possible, "I am detail-oriented, um..."

It's not a job interview, the interviewer tried to reassure her, causing Soph to smile somewhat.

"Y-yeah, I know... I guess, all in all, I just... want to say that even if, you know, I'm... not the best at talking, I am good at what I set my mind to."

Why are you interested in the class you've chosen?

"Oh, I've just... I've always felt at home in, in the... I mean, in nature. Farming just... calls to me, as silly as that sounds. I spent so much time in, um, in Bass and then Ivy where... y'know, it's just buildings everywhere, labs in Ivy. I want... I want to grow with my plants." Soph gave a small laugh at that and the interviewer smiled before moving on.

Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region?

"Mainly because I've always lived here. I... I suppose I understand that, well, some people want to explore the whole world. But, um... I really like it here. There's... there's space for everyone. If you feel comfortable in the city, there's plenty of places to settle or visit. If you like traveling, we have... so many places to just be out there, in... in the wild. It's just... a m-matter of, well, finding your place. Which I plan to do."

What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else.

More about her... The black-haired woman took a deep breath, giving the interviewer a pitiful look. "My... my b-best attributes. I... I guess I sort of answered that before, but... I'm a planner. I s-see a situation and... and I plan. 'What if' and 'this next' and... I just try to keep ahead of the curve. I think that is... I mean, if I had to choose one that would... definitely be it. O-other than that, I... I guess I am compassionate. I may not... y'know, be good at talking to people, but I'll, I'll help them if I can."

What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now!

That pitiful look was back in place and she started chewing her lip again. This one was actually kind of easy, if she was being honest. No one liked a downer, though. "I... I mean, the number one is... sort of obvious, isn't it? I'm not good with... with other people. Sometimes I'm not even good with Pokemon, b-but no one is... no one's perfect, right? I guess I... I'd also say that... that I can be very... uh, particular. I... I like to stick to my plans and... well, when I can't, I get very stressed."

What was your childhood like? How was school?

"Uum... it was..." Soph shifted slightly in her seat, glancing over at the wall as she really thought about this for a second. "I can't say that... it was great. Honestly, I wasn't... I'm not very good in classrooms. I really have to force myself to learn that way. So... I actually failed kindergarten. Seriously, kindergarten. I also... had some issues, uh, w-with a... with a girl b-but then... then we moved to Ivy and I... I mean, I guess I did better there. I didn't... fail another grade, at least." Looking back to the interviewer, she smiled, adding, "My parents have always supported me, though. They love me and I still consider them home."

How is your relationship with your family?

"Ah, I... I got ahead of myself, huh? W-well, I do have... an older sibling which I... I don't really get along with, if I'm being honest. I don't hate them, but..." Soph gave a shrug. She didn't want to say that, for some unknown reason, her sibling didn't think kindly of people that weren't 'normal', as the mentioned person would say. "I've honestly never met the rest of my family."

What do you like to do for fun?

"Fun?" Soph parroted, looking a little concerned. "Um... I guess the things I consider fun are... being with my Pokemon. I... I love eggs--taking care of them, I mean. It's pretty fun to see them grow. Same with Pokemon in general. I... um, I like to read! And wr-write some, actually. It's nothing fancy, just... silly things."

What are your feelings on romance?

Suddenly her face was bright red and she gazed down, wide-eyed, at the table. Oh, dear... Oh, Arceus, why did that have to be a question? "Um... R-romance, I... uh, I... d-don't know, really. I, um... I m-mentioned that I h-h-had some... issues i-in school. I've... I haven't r-really tried... r-relationships s-since them--I mean then."

What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term.

Eager to move onto this question, Soph blurted, "I want to build a large and successful farm, I want to help whatever Pokemon join me to the best of my ability, and I want to... I really hope to maybe f-find someone... To be close to. I've... been running from it for long enough. I hope I can someday find my... my soulmate, I guess. It sounds silly, even saying it that way, but... I'm not actually a loner."

If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why?

This was a particularly difficult question for Soph. There were so many Pokemon and she didn't know nearly enough about all of them to consider which one she'd be. Even typing was difficult because there were some that had such deep-rooted assumptions. "I... I guess I'd be a Politoed. I mean, technically speaking, they're considered leaders, which I am not great at, but they are also cheerful and caring. They sing to attract those that need help--I mean, granted, it's... their own evolutionary line primarily, but still. I just... I mean, I might be biased because I do really love frogs."

What do Pokemon mean to you?

"Oh... Uh..." Wow, this was... She wasn't even sure how to answer this one. "So much. Pokemon mean so much to me, honestly. I never really had one of my own growing up, but I was around so many of them that it just... I guess it felt right. They help me feel more... more relaxed, even if it doesn't completely calm me all the time."

Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go?

Soph had said a lot during this interview and she was exhausted. So this question earned just a simple shake of her head.

Soph has a rather clear complexion, if easily burned. Her skin often dries out in colder weather, leaving her hands and lips cracked if she doesn't take care of them constantly. She does have both earlobes pierced and they can be pretty much guaranteed to have little frog studs in them. One strange fact about her appearance is that her tongue is particularly long and she is able to touch the bottom of her chin if she curls it under.

Being the rather shy person she is, she tries to keep to modest clothing most of the time but there are times she may be found in off-the-shoulder shirts, belly shirts, shorter skirts, or even shorts (which she generally avoids in favor of skirts of some kind or another, though she can often be found to be wearing spandex shorts under them).

Aura

Predominantly blue of varying shades, Soph's aura hugs her close. It is like a blanket wrapped tightly around her. Green and brown dot it, varying sizes that sometimes change or move but most often are settled in to the blues.
