Kimmy wasn't sure what she was thinking when she spent money on this thing. Though it seemed to give pretty good instructions. She had come to the training grounds in the hopes that she would be able to teach Blaze a thing or two. The newly hatched Tepig was sitting at the edge of the warm terrain. It was fit exactly for fire pokemon, the magma flowing from a small volcano making the terrain out of cool rock. Kimmy was fine considering she dressed minimally usually. After shutting the book she turned to Blaze. "Right! So today Blaze you're going to be learning a new move! I know you haven't had any battles yet but I figure this would help you get strong." Blaze closed her eyes and smiled letting out a happy oink almost a bark as she opened her eyes again and awaited further instruction from her trainer.
"First I need you to dig deep down inside of you. Breath me some fire!" Kimmy knew that her tepig didn't know any fire type moves yet. Blaze would spread her legs and take in a deep breath, when she opened her mouth to spew out fire all that came out was a burp. While it warranted a giggle from Kimmy Blaze did seem frustrated. She growled a bit, before trying once more and a tiny burst of flame popped out. Kimmy blinked for a moment and clenched her fist with a grin. "Good, keep that going until you can make it the biggest you can!" She encouraged as Blaze looked at her and seemed to take the words as inspiration. She jumped up and down before staring straight ahead and continuing. Remembering the feeling of the fire leaving her throat.
Blaze breathed out the fire over and over again, flexing every muscle that she thought she had possible. Kimmy watched, when she decided that Blaze had gotten far enough she raised a hand trying to stop the pokemon for a moment. Blaze panted trying to catch her breath as Kimmy patted her on the head. "Take a quick rest, it's time for the big one okay!" Blaze sat down as Kimmy looked for a better spot. She chose a large rock over hanging some of the lava as long as they didn't fall in. It would all be fine!
"Okay Blaze this is it, all that fire you built up, I need you to burst it out and aim for that pool of Lava. Once you can shoot it high enough into the air we'll call it quits for the day okay?" Blaze took a look at Kimmy. Move all that lava? Could she even do that? Well she sure was going to try. Concentrating, the Tepig let out a burst of fire at the lava. The large portion of it only made a tiny sizzling noise. Anger built up inside of her, as Blaze took in a deep breath and let out another. A bit bigger this time but it wasn't enough to her satisfaction. Kimmy watched in awe as Blaze over and over again bursted fire into the lava. After five more times of doing it the Tepig exploded. Fire bursted from her as her mouth opened, converging into three different lines. As it slammed into the hot lava it rose high above them. As it came down Kimmy took a step back almost afraid that she was going to be hit by it.
"You did it Blaze! That was Fire pledge!" Kimmy was filled with joy and excitement, grabbing Blaze she wrapped the tepig in her arms and snuggled her close to her chest.

Kimmy figured that coming here with her new team would be a relaxing way to get them to synchronize. So choosing a nice grassy field seemed perfect for the trip. Although what she hadn't expected was how unsynced all of her pokemon seemed to be. Clutch had decided to cling to her arm as always, abandoning her stump while she was outside of her pokeball and not in a battle. Digger was by her side, watching as Max and Blaze did a bit of sparing. The Riolu making sure to be soft with the baby pokemon after all even with her learning new moves Blaze was a very low leveled pokemon to begin with. Bright-eyes on the other hand was hiding behind a tree, seemingly just relaxing on her own. Kimmy's intention by the end of today was to make sure they could all work together. Yet ever since she released them from their pokeballs they seemed more interested in doing their own things. Kimmy sighed and placed her hands on her hips, letting Clutch continue to hold onto her even though the pokemon was a lot heavier than she seemed to let on.
"Alright gang it's time to stop playing around!" Kimmy clapped her hands together trying to grab their attention. Max looked towards her, helping Blaze land a healthy blow to the side of his head with her snout. The Riolu shook it off giving the pokemon a glare as Kimmy laughed. Beckoning them over, Max and Blaze both stood in front of her looking over at Digger for a moment as the shiny stufful gave a yawn didn't seem like he had been too interest in todays training session either. Kimmy frowned and watched as Bright-eyes made her way over to sit next to Blaze and Max.
"How are we supposed to fight the gyms if you guys are all out of sync. Today we'll be working on team skills so! We're going to put you in pairs to begin with okay!" she spoke in a clear voice, trying to make sure that everyone listened to her. "Blaze I just want you to watch, so today it will be Digger and Max, Bright-eyes and Clutch." Kimmy began to slowly slide the pokemon off of her. Clutch seemed upset, but she committed to returning to her stump and joining her training partner for the time being. Kimmy gave a sigh of relief at least she had gotten this far and that did make her happy. She didn't know if she wanted them to spare or not but she had to think of something for them to do. Something that was both entertaining and would teach them a thing or two about being a good team.
Kimmy crossed her arms as her pokemon took a look at her intensly. "Bright-eyes I want you to teach Clutch a thing or two about being Brave, Digger, Max do some sparring like you always do. We'll do this for an hour okay! No fighting you all have to get along." it wasn't as if they had really fought against each other before but they certainly had been apathetic towards each other. What she intended to do was at least get them to like each other. If she could do that then maybe she would have a hope of beating the gyms. They weren't fighting together but a well coordinated team would make for a more resound one in the field. Kimmy sat down with Blaze curling up into her lap for a moment. "This isn't just lazy time for you though Blaze, you'll be jumping in after watching for a bit okay?" Kimmy wasn't sure what she said to Bright-eyes and Clutch though. Seeing as she didn't really know if bravery could actually be "taught". She would just have to see what would happen.
Bright-eyes began to look at Clutch, the koala like pokemon simply attaching itself to her stump. The umbreon tilted her head a little confused by the creature. Perhaps... she would invite the other to a race. Bright-eyes lowered herself down, wiggling her hind legs as Clutch almost seemed disinterested. Then she lazily crawled down from her stump, maybe if she raced her fellow team member then she would impress Kimmy and the pokemon would be able to climb onto her arm some time longer. Clutch raised her hands in agreement, as Bright-eyes stood up with a smile she turned and waited for Clutch to prepare herself. It wasn't long before Kimmy was watching the two take off across the grass field. Blaze watching as her ears perked with interest. The race was short and it looked like Bright-eyes was going to win but it didn't take much of a boost for Clutch to jump forward and be the first one to a large tree at the edge of the forest.
Kimmy clapped her hands and stood up, now that was what she was talking about. She was glad this sort of bonding exercise was working, next thing she would have to actually put them up to a challenge. After all they still needed experience in battle. Digger and Max has been distracted by the race, exchanging glances at each other before looking to kimmy. They didn't really think they needed much of this bonding training. At first Digger hadn't liked the idea of other pokemon taking up his space but now that he and Max had bonded he really didn't mind. Kimmy sighed then and crossed her arms. "Alright, Alright. I guess we could call it quits for today and get something to eat what do you say?" Clutch began to crawl towards her landing herself back onto Kimmy's arm. Bright-eyes ears twitched with excitement. Digger came up to Kimmy with his eyes sparkling the shiyn stufful almost begging to be picked up.
Kimmy picked him up, snuggling her prized pokemon in her arms as she turned to her team. They all looked rather happy and to her that was more than enough. Maybe if she had enough she could treat them to something. Cooking was too hard for her she'd have to look for a place to eat. Thus she led her team out of the training grounds in the search of something to eat.
It had been a while since Kimmy had been able to head back over to training grounds. She’d been so busy that her adventures of relaxation had been cut short. Today was different, Kimmy stretched her arms high above her head as she stood at the edge of the small stream. They were in the forest area - with just Digger and Blaze out with her. She didn’t really feel like the team needed another go at the moment. Since, Blaze was so young Kimmy figured that maybe some one on one with her and the shiny stufful would help the tepig get a bit stronger. That way she could catch up with the rest of Kimmy’s team.
“The two of you today are gonna get stronger, together!” she exclaimed as the tepig looked up at Kimmy in a bit of confusion. Then again it wasn’t like it was her first day here. She remembered learning the fire pledge here and she remembered coming with Digger quiet often. While Kimmy loved her team she also considered Blaze and Digger her favorites. That with Digger being the most loved, the shiny stufful was always by her side and there was no way to get him off of her either. Kimmy grinned at the two of them, moving over to a rock and deciding to stand on it. Her arms sat at her sides on her hips as she looked at both the tepig and the stufful.
“Now while Digger is much stronger than you, Blaze you can learn so much from him. I want you two to show me what you got against each other! No rough play though this is just for some practice.” she didn’t know how she would have explained her pokemon being so injured when she left. Then again it wouldn’t be unlike if they’d run into a wild pokemon here. In which were used for training sessions but Kimmy liked to concentrate on their own strength together. If she really wanted them to do some training against wild pokemon than she would head for the routes.
Kimmy watched them, as Blaze began to get herself situated. The little fire type sat near the water's edge of the stream they were next to. Digger had himself against a tree, narrowing his eyes as he went for the first blow. Kimmy watched the two fight with each other, Digger happily going a bit easier than he usually would just for Blaze’s sake. Blaze was fighting with whatever strength she had though. Throwing fire and tackles out at the shiny Stufful. After a few minutes it seemed like Blaze was tuckered out, the small pig panting as she lifted her head and turned to Kimmy. Kimmy was smiling, nodding her head as she jumped down from her perch on the rock.
“That was great Blaze!” Kimmy picked up the tepig and the pokemon seemed delighted unlike before. The worst thing she imagined would be Kimmy being disappointed with her. “Digger’s a tough cookie, so holding your own against him is very impressive.” Kimmy tapping a finger against the Tepigs face made the pokemon wriggle with excitement. Then she set the small fire pig down and looked around. If she were to hope to make her team good at stealing though she was one day going to have to introduce them to that sort of lifestyle. For once, only Digger was aware of her sneaking habits so far.
“Well, okay Digger time for you to get a bit of work out how about that. I want you to try and get as much of that tree down as possible. Get as much of it eaten away!” Kimmy pointed to a tree and Digger began to nod his head. Letting out a cry as he started forward and started beating into the wood of the tree. He was not that strong, but his moves did start to put dents into the bark. Blaze and Kimmy watched as the bark flew to the sides the stufful digging his moves into the tree. It was going well and for a moment Kimmy figured he really would be able to get the tree to fall. Yet soon it appeared Digger was getting tired, he slunk down and Kimmy laughed.
“Alright, Alright.” she smiled and picked up the stufful, looking at the large indent in the tree. The bark stripped away revealing a yellow tinge compared to the darker outline of the large plant. Kimmy sat down on a fallen trunk holding Digger as he tried to seem like he was fine. Urgently trying to climb out of her hand but Kimmy would not let him.
“We should probably leave soon, I think the training for today was enough.” She looked at Blaze, Blaze didn’t seem convinced, she turned to the tree and with a deep breath tried to let out her best fire attack that she could. With how Digger had whittled away at the trunk, the burning of the fire seemed to set it off. Kimmy stood and grabbed the tepig dragging her away as the small tree went slamming into the water.
“... That was dangerous.” she muttered almost to herself and then looked at the Tepig. She oinked and Kimmy laughed nodding her head. “Now that! That’s some power good job Blaze now we can leave without you feeling like you haven’t gotten anything done then?” Kimmy knew that Blaze just hadn’t wanted to leave without impressing her. Kimmy put down Digger and Blaze before crouching near the two of them.
“You two are the front of my team, so it’s very important that you stay strong okay. Blaze you did a really good job today. How about we all get to a hotel and eat to our hearts content with the rest of the team?” She had a bit of extra cash right now and this seemed to spark excitement in the two of them. Digger crawled onto her shoulders as Kimmy grabbed hold of Blaze and held her in her arms. Finding the trail to the exit as she smiled, she should do this more often.
