Dances weren't exactly Elizabeth's thing, especially when she had to attend alone. However, being new to the region and a ranger, she felt it was necessary to start trying to get to know other members of the public. Though it wasn't like she disliked all the fancy costumes and the spooky decor, but as a bit of a tomboy who's sense of style typically included combat boots, it wasn't easy figuring out what to wear that would be upscale enough yet still comfortable and not overly girly.
Thus she decided to stick with simple elegance. She'd donned red capped black dress boots, with a very slight heel, that reached all the way up her calf. Sleek black leggings covered the rest of her lower body and a tailored tuxedo jacket hung sharply over a close fitting black sleeveless shirt. The collar of the jacket was of thick synthetic fur that very much resembled the mane around the shoulders of a zoroark. The fingers of her black gloves matched the red of her boots and a delicate black mask rested over her eyes, the eye holes line with the same zoroark red. Atop her head she'd pulled back her short brunette hair and bore a narrow hat with two long ears protruding from each side. From the top of the hat a thick ponytail of red and black, styled very much like in zoroark fashion, down to the turquoise bead near the tail end, poured out of it.
And while she'd indeed come alone, as in with no human companion, one of her closest pokemon had instead joined her. The lucario did not seem impressed by Liz's choice in costume. Raya herself hadn't seen it necessary to bother with a costume of her own, though it was difficult at times to get the hard-nosed jackal to 'let her hair down' so to speak. She'd agreed only to donning a simple black cloth mask making her look vaguely bandit like.
The pair had no agenda for the evening and were simply there to enjoy the festivities. Watching the other guests, in their own elaborate and elegant costumes, dance was plenty of entertainment for the ranger and lucario. They found their way to the nearby buffet. Not wanting to be impaired Liz stuck with a non-alcoholic beverage while Raya curiously sampled one or two of the spooky treats. For the meantime the two were content to observe the other guests and their surroundings.
