Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
Swarms close at 11:59pm on the last day of each month. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
Mr Mimes were a curious thing in Marley's opinion. One of the pokemon in the world that came in multiple varients, and one Marley had actually seen both of them. Galarian Mr. Mimes were Psychic and Ice types, while their Kantonian counterparts were Psychic and Fairy. And then there were Mime Jrs. The little fairies that could go either way. Marley, naturally, couldn't turn down the chance to collect one, especially when word came out that they were seen en mass in the area. He kept an eye out as he looked around, trying to spot one that he could add to his team.
Now, where were they? He had heard Mime Jrs. were all over the place. Surely he would run into at least one by now. Could they all be hiding? Were Mime Jrs known for hiding?
As he looked around, his foot caught on something. Something invisible, causing him to help and trip over. Grunting in irritation, Marley tried to look back to see what he had tripped over, but found nothing. Just grass. What had he tripped over?
Then, he got the impression someone was laughing at him. But there was no sound.
Marley looked over, to see what appeared to be a Mr. Mime standing, laughing at him. Well, he certainly hadn't expected this. In fact, this was probably even better than a Mime Jr. though he'd need to be tricky. Mr. Mimes were a wily sortt.
Marley glanced past the Mr. Mime, his eye widening in surprise as a look of fear crossed his face. The Mr. Mime, noticing the man's expression, blinked and then looked behind itself.
And then Marley, as fast as he could, through a pokeball right at the back of its head.
Mime Jr. were so cute! Elise loved their little smiling faces and their cute little hats and circles and eeeeee! She just had to have one, ok! Setting out in the snow in her puffy winter coat, hat, boots, and winter gloves, she was ready to search for as long as it took to find these cute friends!
Trotting alongside her, Sammy the Houndour was unfazed by the cold. The fire burning deep in her body and soul was more than enough to keep her warm. Her nose, though, kept twitching as she searched for any traces of the thing Elise was so interested in. While she couldn’t understand her trainer’s fascination with cute things, the Houndour wasn’t too averse to helping when called to. It was nice to see Elise so peppy. Hm, now if only they could actually find one of these strange clown things.

This was it. With Willow's short time in Cedar, it was finally time for her to make her way to Bass City. However, there was one more thing she had to do before she actually left for her journey. Being a country gal like herself, Willow knew how to talk to people and start up conversations about the most random things. This was extremely useful whenever it came to learning about hot spots for pokemon, just like the one she was in now.
She had heard from an unsuspecting stranger that she had talked to that there was an area on route 2 that had a bunch of mime jr's, or at least variations of them in the area. This was a pokemon that Willow was very fond of. As a child, her parents had always had one at the farm. No matter what, there was always one working out on the fields. The pokemon were known to be good caregivers when it came to things like cooking, cleaning, or whatever else.
The one thing that she was hoping for the most though, was that it would be good for gathering up berries and helping take care of them. There were always some types of pokemon trying to steal the fruits, or even random weeds popping up that needed to be tended to. Of course, Willow had other pokemon that could help with this, but she wanted someone who could reliably do it all. This Mime jr. or whatever variation of it, would be that pokemon.

Watching the bush, she saw a mime jr come out. However, something was odd about this one. It see to be some sort of yellowish color. Though, it wasn't shiny. No, she was sure of it. This one was different than one of the rare types. She didn't understand why it was like that, but all she knew was that she wanted to catch the pokemon. So, she would use this as a training opportunity as well as a catching one.
With that, she sent out her squirtle, Aaron. As he looked around in confusion, Willow smiled at him and said, "Hey, I promised that I would help train you to become a stronger pokemon. This is the time for that. Go and use everything you've got on that Mime jr so that I can observe what you can do. After that, we'll be able to do some more in depth things!" After giving him her instructions, the squirtle went into action.
It quickly used a water gun, as well as a rapid spin, creating a sprinkler of sorts. As he collided with the unsuspecting Mime jr, he knocked her back into a tree. Before the pokemon knew what was happening, Willow threw a pokeball towards it, hoping to dear Arceus that she would stay caught, unlike how Max was when she encountered him in a swarm area.
A gust on the breeze, and Sammy caught the scent of something. A small bark would cause Elise to jolt and turn around to her Houndour curiously. “What is it gi—“ The Houndour had raised a leg and made a pointer motion with her nose. Elise’s eyes raised up and over to— Huh? “That’s not a Mime Jr.—“ Elise started and stopped as the creature tensed and looked back to her only to slowly look forward again. The look on its face… in its eyes… Something was wrong?
Elise frowned softly as she walked over to it— to him. Mr. Mime looked forward again and folded his arms around his legs. Hesitantly, Elise sat down in the snow (with Sammy quickly padding over to sit next to her and keep her warm). “What’s wrong, Mr. Mime?” the girl asked.
The Mime sighed and shook his head. He was just feeling sad….
Elise frowned a little briefly glancing to Sammy who set her ears back on her head in solidarity. “Well, it’s… a snowy beautiful day outside!” Elise spoke up trying to sound as happy as she could then. “You’re part Ice type, right? I bet you love this weather!” The Mime sighed again. Elise bit the inside of her mouth.
”Well…. It’s soft snow which is always good for kicking up and dancing in! You’ve got the right kind of ‘shoes’ for that too!” she stated suddenly standing up again. The Mime looked up at her and blinked slowly. “Come dance with me! Or uh…. Hang on lemme get music first! I’m from a band-er-idol group called Pixie Nightmare Girls! PNG for short! And we just released some new music!” She fumbled with her phone before actually pressing play. “What do you think?”
As the music started playing, the Mr. Mime slowly started to bop his head up and down. Yeah, ok… he could admit this had a nice beat. Elise giggled. “C’mon you gotta dance!” she twirled a little in the snow. “Just move how you wanna move! C’mon Sammy! Let’s show him!” Elise encouraged. The Houndour tilted her head from one way to the other before getting up, shaking out her fur, and starting to shift from one side to the other. “See! Even small steps are fun! I promise!”
It took a little more encouragement, but after that, the Mr. Mime was up, his hands clasped in Elise’s, and he was kind of bouncing on his feet as she moved much more elegantly. What a strange… friendly human… She was so bright and bubbly… Elise, meanwhile, was happy with her progress and by the end of two songs, she’d made a decision! “Mr. Mime! Please come with us!” he said her eyes alight and new. Sammy blinked surprised that Elise would want this one. Hadn’t she wanted a smaller clown? Ah well. Mr. Mime looked hesitantly from Sammy to Elise. “Please!” Elise spoke holding out a Pokeball. “I promise we’ll have a lot of fun!”

Arietta was tired, a rare occurrence for the girl who's energy levels constantly rivalled that of a young toddler hyped up on candy, but apparently today was different. The girl who spent an unholy amount of time glued to her phone, staring down the latest drama, fighting back wars with commenters, trying to keep the masses at bay. The internet, and the people on it constantly plagued her life- whether it be people who hate or love her. And she struggled to maintain her integrity and save face with users on a constant daily basis.
So here she was, in the dead of night, headphones plugged into her ears as she tried uselessly to clear her head and will herself to get tired to the point she could sleep- rather than to the point she stay away and fret over things she really should stop worrying about. Melanie Martinez's Detention played on her phone as she ventured her way down the route, right out of her home town of Bass... she was barely paying attention to her surroundings at this point.

Tansy meandered down the route while Elizabeth sitting cross legged atop the venusaur's head. Raya strode alongside the poisonous grass type while Sini trailed along behind humming to herself and absently swaying back and forth lost in her own little world. Ena however pranced along ahead poking her head into every nook and cranny she could find along the way.
"Any sign of mime jr. there Ena?" The ranger asked with a snicker as the flareon poked her head up through some snow covered brush. Despite the sun shining above the path still had plenty of snow clinging to the sand and grass.
"Nope nothing yet mom!" Ena seemed a little disappointed she hadn't happened immediately upon one of the mimes yet but she was certainly still eager to keep looking. Liz chuckled along with Tansy, both quite amused with the flareon's enthusiasm.
The young woman turned to briefly check on the two eggs nestled against the trunk of the venusaur's flower. They were perfectly secure in the poisonous grass type's care. The ranger sighed and turned back to watching the flareon try to sniff out any mimes.

Ena, in her excitement, nearly bowled over a portly old fellow who was tottering off the side of the route ahead of them. For a moment Liz and co were confused, this gentleman didn't look quite right. He was quite colorful looking and bent over with a cane in one hand and seemed to be gently scolding the flareon for bumping into him.
"Wait a sec... that's a pokemon." The ranger finally realized that this wasn't some flamboyantly dressed old man and was in fact what she could only assume was some variation of a Mr Mime? The young woman dredged up her old pokedex and scanned the odd fellow to confirm that this was something of the mime line, a Mr Rime to be exact.
"Well that's different, Mr Rime, an evolved form of the Mr Mime native to the Galar region." She pursed her lips and looked down at Ena who was bouncing excitedly around the feet of the mr rime. The icy psychic didn't seem too bothered by the overexcited flareon but the ranger was unsure if he'd remain so knowing how Ena could tend to go overboard.
"Ena take it easy, not everybody likes being jumped on." Liz cautioned the flareon who whined but as she whipped around to face Liz she knocked the mr rime's cane aside. Despite the icy psychic's docile demeanor this action seemed to irritate him. The icy psychic scowled then reeled back and attempted to strike the firey fox with a sucker punch.
However the move was unsuccessful and Ena spun around in surprise. Her own demeanor instantly changed as she dropped low to the ground and growled. The flareon let loose a wild lava plume that nearly engulfed their entire surroundings. Tansy stumbled back out of the flames's path and sighed at the impulsive flareon. Liz and Raya shook their heads but the hit was quite effective.
Mr Rime danced around in a vain attempt to avoid the fire but was obviously weakened. The mr rime responded with an attempt to hypnotize the flareon. However Ena attention couldn't be held by the hypnosis. Liz nodded to the flareon who went in for a bite, chomping down on the icy psychic's leg. Mr Rime howled and blasted her off with freeze-dry though the icy move had minimal affect on the fire type.
"Hang back now girl." The ranger instructed as she lobbed a pokeball toward the mr rime.
Isaac couldn't help but feel a little nervous as he looked around. This was the first time he was ACTIVELY looking for a pokemon. But, someone was offering good money to find a Mime Jr. and Isaac was indeed in need of money. That money could be put to good use. He looked around the route. He had been told many of them had been spotted around here.
