Shalin sounded skeptical as to whether a human could really ride on the three Legendary Beasts, though... Ettie couldn't help but nod in agreement with Azur. "I mean... I imagine that they'd be mindful of their riders, like Azur said!" She'd chirp; scratching her cheek a bit as she mulled things over. "It wouldn't be very thoughtful of them, if they accidentally flung the humans that were riding on them!" Though, it did seem like it'd be a bit of a funny mental image, even that being said... Ettie giggled softly at the notion, but was also glad that the Furfrou hadn't flung her yet, accidentally or on purpose..! He was quite the mild canine, his scaredy-cat nature aside...!
As Zeit howled at Duchess' victory, the canines would perk up at the sound; and Duchess, her tail wagging eagerly, wound respond with a joyous howl of her own...! Ettie, in her excitement, would throw her head back - being unable to help joining in - and began howling with fervor and energy..! "Aoouuuuuuuuuuuuu...!" This, however, seemed to get the rest of the team's attention, and prompted the other canines to join in - one by one...!
Anne would begin to howl next, then the Furfrou, and even Princess - as sleepy as she was - would howl with surprising strength...! Even the young Popplio, upon hearing his new teammates howling, would soon decide to join in - albeit his howls weren't quite the same as the others' howls, given that he wasn't quite as canid in nature. Even that being said though, it was a valiant attempt; and before long, there was a chorus of howls of varying pitch, volume, and timbre that rung out through the cave...!
As the howl gradually died down, tails would be wagging, as the canines began affectionately nuzzling and grooming each other, as well as playfully nipping at each other; almost as though the shared howl had reaffirmed their bonds. Even the Popplio would receive a long liiiick on the head from Princess, prompting a surprised bark from the little sea lion..! He'd blink once, twice... Before reaching out with a flipper, to pat Princess on the head in turn...! He wasn't too sure what he thought of being surrounded by only other canines, but... They made him feel rather welcome, despite being a bit of an oddball amongst them...!
Meanwhile, Azur would begin to massage Tristan - and Ettie, curiously, would begin to watch as the howls and exchange of affection began to die down..! She would watch Azur's procedure closely - wondering if she could learn anything from this, for helping to give Princess an extra relaxing massage, whenever the Snubbull wanted to be spoilt...! Princess, too, seemed interested in this - flopping on Ettie's lap to relax, and watch alongside her. Before long though, it seemed that Azur would finish up giving Tristan the massage, and would return the Ralts to his pokeball for a nice nap.
In fact... A nap sounded good to Princess, right about now, the Snubbull thought; getting up, the bipedal canine would go over to Duchess to give her one last pat on the head, before returning to her pokeball on her own. Time to get some z's in...!
About then would be when Shalin would let her pokemon out, though; and Ettie's eyes would light up curiously, as she peered to the large group of, well, large pokemon! A Stantler, a Stuntank, a Yanmega... And then Caprice and Serena, as well...! Though Ettie was curious about checking them out, she'd remain where she was - instead giving Caprice a bright smile and a wave, upon noticing the Ninetales' gaze on her. She seemed completely untroubled by the way the large fox was eyeing her - figuring that it'd be awhile before Caprice warms up to them.
However, her attention would soon be drawn to the egg on her lap. Even though Azur was dealing with the chaos of the Murkrow and their Honchkrow boss, Ettie couldn't exactly turn her attention away from the egg - she had to be able to greet the little pup inside to the world...! And the other canines seemed to share this notion - Azur seemed to have the fight handled, after all, and they wanted to greet their newest packmate as well...! The egg would shift left, then right, as cracks spiderwebbed at random points across the shell. Whatever pup was in this egg, it was quite a rambunctious one - the egg felt as though the canine inside was flailing every which way!
Ettie couldn't help but giggle at this, patting the top of the shell lightly. "Atta puppy, you can do it..!" She'd praise and encourage, smiling brightly. This pup was already looking to be an energetic one; she hoped they'd get along well with the rest of the team...! Before much longer though, the egg's shell would begin to break away from the many cracks - and suddenly, as though all at once, the egg would hatch completely...!
Within, would be a Lillipup - an average sized one, and a male, from the looks of things. Despite being average sized for a Lillipup however, he looked so much smaller than the rest of the team, given how everyone else - excluding the Popplio, who matched his size - was so much bigger than him...! However... What he lacked in size, he certainly made up for in personality...! He'd shake the bits of shell off of his fur, glancing about... and upon setting his eyes on Anne, would bark to her in challenge...! She was the leader of the pack, wasn't she? He wanted to make a first impression on them, and prove that he'll be the biggest of the pack, when he grows up...!
Anne, bewildered, would blink a bit. What was it with baby pokemon wanting to fight her, immediately after hatching...??
Not even waiting for a response though, the Lillipup would leap forward - tackling into Anne, in an impromptu wrestling match! Anne, startled, would initially be toppled over with a surprised yelp - much to the Lillipup's satisfaction - but... It only took that surprise fading, for the Rockruff to easily gain the advantage over the Lillipup, and take control of the wrestling match...! Duchess and the Popplio, meanwhile, would watch with visible excitement and amusement; the two of them both wondering whether they'd want to join in, too...!
Ettie, meanwhile, couldn't help but laugh; scratching the back of her head. "I guess he's a healthy one, huh...?" She'd muse out loud; glancing over to Azur, just in time to see Gusios land a good hit on the Honchkrow, as the older young man threw a pokeball at the corvid pokemon...! With victory (and Azur's wallet) in his hand, Ettie would smile brightly and applaud for the both of them; whooping "Good job, Gusios!" with a happy grin. Maybe now that things were starting to wind down, and now that the storm had passed, they could see about getting on the road once more? OOC: Popping a Normal Incense!

Shalin was a little disappointed, but she understood. "Fair point," she admitted to Azur. She stood next to Flit, both her hands behind his still, right-side wings as though she was going to hoist herself aboard. She stopped herself and withdrew the giant dragonfly when she realized she had only brought two sets of earplugs. "Don't want to scare them - sorry." She walked over to Kiku and turned back toward Azur. "I only brought two sets of earplugs - maybe I should start carrying three. Gonna have to pick up a set in Cherry somewhere."
The rest of her Pokémon looked like they wanted to run. Kiku in particular looked like he wanted to jet ahead of the others, fidgeting back and forth until a smell caught his nose. It led him to a Grimer that was well off-trail. The two had a fairly long conversation before the Skuntank discharged quite a bit of musk on the Poison-type, who seemed thrilled.
Shalin was so enthralled by her conversation with Azur that she had completely forgotten about the Egg that was hatching - by the time she remembered, the Lillipup inside had already been born. Though the species wasn't anything special to her, it seemed like it was the world to Ettie. She stopped to watch her cuddle with her new puppy for a couple of minutes before returning to Kiku's side. She mounted up, burying her hands in her Skuntank's fur with a firm hold.
"I'm going on ahead." The end of the forest wasn't far - Shalin and her team could see the afternoon sun on the other side. Prance stood next to Azur and reared, mirroring her trainer's impatience as Kiku and the remainder of Shalin's Pokémon broke off into a fast walk, then a trot, then a run. As soon as the poison-type was clear of the trees, the rider shouted, "Kiku, use Flamethrower!" The excited Pokémon stretched his tail straight back, Serena and Caprice giving her ample room to move. She discharged a gout of flames from the tip of her tail, releasing the pressure within by burning all the musk stored within. No horrible stench. "Yaaaaa-hooooooo!!" Shalin whooped as her mount bounded down the grasses and sands far faster than common sense dictated a Pokémon with such short and stubby legs could run. Caprice and Serena broke out into long, powerful strides as well, but neither of them could keep up while that Flamethrower was going.
"Though... if somehow their actual trial is actually 'you have to ride me to be a chosen one', I wouldn't be surprised," Azur chuckled. "Though with how some legendary Pokemons not exactly so... 'legendary' or 'mythical'... I have a feeling that eventually there will be a Pokemon who just want to race, who knows. Like, I know some legendary pokemons chose their champions to fight alongside them, but I have a feeling that elusive, mythological pokemons might not care so much of that distinction afterall..."
Azur noted that the howl from Zeit makes Ettie excited! Before long it becomes chorus of howling, with Zeit getting more spirited in his howl. Azur shook his head in amusement. Zeit was happy to be part of it, and although he's still so tired, he licked his fellow canines affectionately, praising them for their shared bond. Duchess being the MVP got the most licks from him, and a bit of a headbunt. Now that the weather has cleared some, Azur...
Got a call on his phone now that he have turned it on. "Yes... Azur Schild talking... Yes, thank you for your hard work... Um... an update, ma'am? Right, uh... please give me some time. I think we're heading to Cherry at the meantime, so... yes... yes. Certainly, I'll see to that. Thank you very much for the information."
He ended the call soon after. "Well, looks like there's an update to us nurses. I'll get a new Pokemon in Cherry Town. I'm not particularly in haste though, so let's just enjoy this."
...As for the Lillipup egg... what's inside is so fighty! Gusios the Bagon immediately apologized to Anne for this trend of "babies want to fight with her". He was being hasty! He thought that Anne was some sort of boss that he need to prove himself to! It was... definitely embarrassing, but at the same time he was newly hatched. He's a hasty one!
Gusios thanked Ettie with a salute. He seem to be interested in the latest pack member... could it be that he's similar to Tristan after all? Both Pokemons are very fighty! Well, as for Tristan, it seems he mellowed out some, but even so... It doesn't seem to be enough, at least for the meantime.
Azur meanwhile... "...Hmmm, I'd offer to check on him, but... From the signs he's exhibiting, he's... healthy. Or at least I think so--ow!" something fell on his head. It's revealed to be a...Leppa Berry? ...That's new. Also, that's the very first time he saw a literal Jet Booster outta someone's ass. Azur made a complicated, humorous expression as he blinked. What... just happened?
As Azur got a call on his phone, Ettie would perk up curiously - glancing at the older young man, and wondering what the conversation that soon ensued was about. Though she could only understand half of the conversation - given that she could only hear Azur's half of it - her eyes would light up a bit, as he'd end the call, and notify the others of what was going on...! "A new pokemon?" She'd ask curiously, smiling brightly in visible excitement, over the idea of Azur having a new friend to pick up in Cherry. "What kind of pokemon do you think it's gonna be?"
Serana, it seemed, would go on ahead on her Skuntank; though the Flamethrower jet booster, out of Kiku's tail, would be a rather bewildering sight that had the collective pack - except for Anne and the Lillipup, for somewhat obvious reasons - blinking quite owlishly. Ah... None of them really knew, how they'd describe what just happened - though... At least it didn't leave any bad smells behind, given that it seemed as though the musk all burnt up in the Flamethrower?
It seemed that a Murder Puppy - I mean, a Hatenna - would be startled by the sight though, and proceed to scamper away; for as hardy as he might be, he wasn't going to put up with a higher level dark type being in the area, let alone the emotions coming off of their rider...! That, for sure, was just asking for a load of trouble..!
Meanwhile, there was the fighty young Lillipup - who had started an impromptu wrestling fight with Anne...! Though he initially had the advantage, it seemed that Anne - being the stronger of the two - would quickly take control of the fight; pinning the Lillipup down underneath her! The newborn pup, clearly displeased, would bark at Anne and flail in an attempt to break free of the pin! Huhhhhhh...?! Did she really think she had the advantage?! Well he'd show her; surely she's not as strong as she makes herself to be...!
But, despite that, it seemed that all the rebellious Lillipup was succeeding in, was tiring himself out. He'd begin to huff and grumble, unhappy that he was being put in his place like this - though supposing that he'd have to admit that Anne, indeed, was stronger. She wouldn't hold that advantage forever, he'd declare to her! To which the Rockruff would be unable to help rolling her eyes a bit - bending down to pick him up by the scruff...!
Gusios would apologize to Anne for this trend of hatchlings trying to pick a fight with her, but the Rockruff would nuzzle him - a quiet gesture to show that all was okay, given that her mouth was a bit occupied by carrying the newly hatched Lillipup. The pup in question would be growling, clearly not enjoying this nonsense; though he would seemingly put up with being babied like this, at least for now. But the second he was put down, he was surely gonna show Anne a piece of his mind...!
Ettie, at all of these antics, couldn't help but laugh at it all; getting up on Pierre's back, in preparation for them to get going. The Popplio, too, would hop up onto Ettie's lap; likely a good idea, given that he didn't seem like he was made for running along on foot..! As Azur yelped at something, she'd glance over to him just in time to see the Leppa Berry, and was unable to help a giggle; questioning "Did something drop it on you, or did it fall down on it's own?" with a humored smile.
Either way, with a lil nudge of the heel, Pierre would set off down the road - the rest of the pack following close behind - and follow Shalin along the beaches that ran parallel to the road. All the while, Ettie would glance about with wide and alert eyes, curious to see what the road ahead had to offer. OOC: 4 rolls left on the normal incense

You now remember that their 3D model walks on two legs and it's just gross. Nobody likes this change. At least Meowth has the build for it! Like, come on! Why did they do this!?
By the time Kiku had burned off all his musk, Cherry Town was in sight, though still distant, beautiful beaches to both Shalin's east and west. She was breathing a bit heavy when her Skuntank slowed to a more normal, but still swift, run. She gently pat her poison-type Pokémon's neck. "That...never gets old!" Shalin shouted. Kiku snorted back, happy he could facilitate her entertainment while relieving tail pressure he had built up.
They were not, however, far enough out of the woods for wildlife from them to be caught combing the grasses or sands, demonstrated by the Venonat wandering the inner limits of the east beach. Serena hunched down and flexed her legs - it looked like she wanted to go on a bug hunt. She silently walked toward the wild, her sensitive whiskers letting her ascertain the Venonat's position even though she wasn't looking directly at it. When she was close enough, she pounced with great speed, pinning it down and raking across its back twice in rapid succession. Her second slash released spores that sapped her of her strength and awareness...and before long, her ability to remain awake.
Once the cat was out cold, the flea got its vengeance by jumping into the front of her saddle and piercing Serena's neck with its proboscis, treating itself to a great deal of cat blood. By the time Serena woke up and was able to shake her foe loose, she was so dizzy from the blood loss that she could barely stand, while the Venonat was completely fresh again.
Shalin making the quick decision that Serena was far too wounded to continue, recalling her and sending her reliable golden fox out to pick up. "Caprice, Extrasensory! Stay away from that thing!" Shalin shouted, the bug clearly much more of a threat than it looked. Her eyes and tails glowed a sinister pink and purple, the Venonat dizzy after the mental attack. That didn't stop it from charging the Ninetales and shaking spores all over Caprice, putting her out cold as well.
Though the Ninetales' blood was just as tasty as her feline comrade's, the Venonat couldn't drink nearly as much of it - it was too hot! A squeak from the bug woke up a dizzy Ninetales, who belched fire all over it from close range. The bug-type stopped, dropped, and rolled far away to put the flames out. Shalin slid off of her Skuntank and released Serena once more, taking a close look at the back of her neck. The length of the battle, as well as the time Shalin took in evaluating her two Pokémon's wounds, was plenty for the other trainers to catch up.

"No idea, but the pool is like... huge," Azur replied. "I mean, there are Heal Pulse, Soft Boiled, Heal Bell, there are so many movesets out there that could help a nurse in their line of work. I think they would look at my available Pokemons though. While I'm a citizen technically in Arciel's database, I'm also a nurse. I think it wouldn't make so much sense to give me Ralts when I already have Ralts for example... but I can see them giving me Happiny because they had no idea I have Blissey... I just caught Ciela after all. But maybe they will ask me what Pokemons I have on hand. Personally, I'd love to get a second Ralts, female one... Just to calm Tristan down somewhat, you know?"
Someone's very fighty it seems. Even Gusios the Bagon only could smile wryly. But he's interested in sparring with this new friend one day! 'Hey friend', he would greeted with his own sound 'you sounded like you got a lot of guts, so let's spar one day!' was the content of the Bagon's cries toward the Lillipup. He wagged his tail to show that he meant it in friendly way! He might be scary looking, but it doesn't mean that he's not friendly! Especially when it comes to Anne's "brother".
Did someone drops it on him, or does it drops on its own? Azur pondered for a bit before looking up. The Mukrows from before huh.. "...There's your answer," he pointed at the flock.
Just as he was about to move again, though suddenly... something came up. Was that... was that a Purrloin? Huh, that's a good addition for his team. But... what is it doing, approaching like this? Azur dismounted, and it meowed at him.
"Hey, little one. Are you lost perhaps?" Azur asked. It meowed at him. "Ah, no? You're just out to get something from me then?" a positive meow, and a bit of idle scratching with her hindleg to her ear. She groomed herself, and then looked at Azur. "...Oh, did you smell food on me and want to get food?"
A positive meowing. ...Well, that answered it. "Alright, I'll share some of my food, sounds good?"
Azur poured some pokefood on his hand, then offered it to the Purrloin who ate it... Hmmm, it looked docile enough. Admittedly this is why Azur was late, but it can't be helped. When he was about to catch up with the others, the Purrloin seem to want to... huh? Is she just bunting his leg with her head? That's cute... Could it be that she want to come with him?
Azur... have this weakness against cute animals and Pokemons alike. Affectionate Pokemons like this made him happy. With that being said, he put the Nest Ball from before to the ground to see if the Pokemon would take it somehow. Yes, he attempted to befriend it, without fighting. it doesn't seem like it want to fight either. Just want to be affectionate. (Nest Ball, Go!)
The moment Azur caught up, he approached the group. There was seem to be an issue up ahead... What could happened? "Hey, is everything alright there?" Azur asked, opening his bag just in case. He... could sworn he saw a Venonat... Could it be that they fought in some way or another? But... Why does Shalin's two Pokemons looked like the're the one who's wounded? Could it be that the Venonat is that strong? Well, there are plenty time to check.
"Hey, are you guys alright?" Azur asked once again. "If you need any healing, best speak up immediately. Granted, I can't cure you as instantly as using potion, but I do know how to heal Pokemons without using potions. So if you need any heals... do tell me."
For the meantime though he decided to look at the Persian. "What was your name again? Serena was it? Let me heal you first, alright?"
First, Azur flipped his book. He took out a notebook from his bag... seem to be a self made note on how to neutralize some toxin. "Leech Life basically works like a mosquito's bite. It's bug type attack, thus there should be an anticoagulant working. It will be a bit itchy, so I'll be applying some specific ointment first, alright? It might feel a bit cool, but don't worry, it's harmless. Just gotta make sure that you'll recover from the bite is all." as he did this, he opened a small container and slathered a bit of the content to the spot of the attack. A faint herbal smell wafts from it. It should be working immediately, preventing any itches. "Afterward, to deal with the anemia, please eat this." Azur offered a ball similar to poffin, except it looked more like a medicine ball than a food. "It's berry mix which is high in iron to deal with anemia. It might be a bit sour though, but you don't have to worry about it. It's healthy, OK?"
Following that... he took out a brush to clean up any remaining Sleep Powder. Anemia and sleep powder would make the Pokemon especially tired... he guess it's better if they're sleeping to recover the lost blood though... Hmmm... Does he have any way to promote them so they could heal faster? He guess he can try massages to help the Persian heals faster... Following that, Azur just do that exactly, massaging her, making sure that her blood circulation cleared up... And after a bit while, he looked at Shalin.
"Alright, treatment is done. There's not much to do other than to give her about thirty minutes nap break. After thirty minutes she should be alright once again. Just to be sure here," he handed her three more balls." Give that to her after every meals, and she should recovery fully in no time. Would you like me to treat your other Pokemon?
As for Ettie... "Could you tell me what happened? I was... admittedly held up by quite the affectionate Purrloin, ahaha..."
Still... Oh right, he actually wanted to try something. "Been wondering but I wonder what is this item on my bag is... A flute or something..." It's a white flute it seems. Azur played it some. It... let out a sound that's not audible to human, but seem to be audible to some Pokemon. "Eh well. It might be not an important one... I happened to get it from someone who said that I'm their visitor of the day, so they give me this. It was a little raffle or sort though.." As Gusios greeted the Lillipup, the little canine would grumble a bit and squint his eyes at first - as if to ask 'What do you want?' - and furrow his brows a little; still displeased over Anne continuing to carry him by the scruff, and unsure how he felt about this exciteable lizard chatting him up. As Gusios commented on the Lillipup's guts though, and how he wanted to spar with him, well... The Lillipup would blink a bit, smirk, then turn his nose up in a smug fashion; as if he wasn't being carried by Anne right now. So Gusios thinks he's a tough guy, eyyy...? Well, he supposed that he could give the Dragon-type a fight, the Lillipup would respond...
... When Anne puts him down at least, he'd conclude quite grumpily...!!! He'd emphasize this grumpiness with a sharp bark in her direction; to which Anne rolled her eyes, mumbling around the Lillipup's fur that he'd be put down once he calms down. This would only get another displeased grumble from the Lillipup in response, but he'd shut up; allowing himself to continue hanging from Anne's mouth. He'd cooperate with her, for now...
... But she better be prepared for retribution, he'd remark in his head, once he gets big enough...!
Next though, there was the issue of the Venonat - which Ettie would end up getting a front seat to - when she rode on ahead of Azur on her Furfrou, and caught up to Shalin...! She would arrive just in time to see Serena pounce forward, into the Venonat...! Ettie would blink in a bit of alarm, and the Furfrou seemed similarly alarmed; this was certainly not a fight that he wanted any part of, given that both of the pokemon fighting seemed to be much stronger than he or the other pups were...! Immediately, he'd stop in his tracks - and he would also turn around, to usher the other pups to stop and keep their distance as well.
Anne and Duchess, both already being able to see the issue a mile away, would listen to larger canine's urging, and would remain at the Furfrou's size - though Anne would put the Lillipup down, and put herself at the front of the gathered group. Logically, the Rockruff knew that they should keep their distance from the Venonat - and thus, she did - but in the event that the bug-type decided to turn this way, she'd be ready to act. The Lillipup, meanwhile, would at first grumble a bit at being urged to stay back; though... Even he, upon noticing the Venonat, would realize that that'd be a bit too over his head. He was fighty, but he wasn't a dumbass.
Which meant that all they could do, was keep their distance and watch. With Serena out cold, the Venonat would get vengeance with Leech Life; draining the Persian's energy, and the sight prompting both the Furfrou to whine a bit in anxiety, and for Ettie to wince a bit...! The Furfrou, quietly, would muse out loud about how had a feeling that he was going to start getting anxious about bugs, on top of his anxiety over ghosts...
Post by Ettie Carnall on May 12, 2020 18:44:20 GMT
Though Anne, being the big sister figure that she was, would pat her larger packmates's side with her tail in a reassuring fashion, remarking how all she had to do was learn a rock-type move, and that she'd be able to put bugs in their place. Ettie, too, would be there to reassure him - even if she didn't understand what he was saying, she could understand the soft whine to his tone - with a hand brushing over the fur of his neck. "There there, boy; it's okay..." She'd soothe him, adding "We're in this together, alright?"
While it wasn't enough to convince the Furfrou to not be scared of this Venonat specifically, it seemed to be enough to ease any potential future bug-related anxieties; he'd sigh shakily in response, but nod. Alright. That... That made enough sense to him, to ease his hasty brain a little. The Popplio and Duchess would both contribute to reassuring him further with gentle nuzzles, meanwhile; though the Lillipup couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit. Scaredy-cat, he'd mentally remark to himself; as long as they kept their distance, it was clear that that Venonat was more interested in the fight at hand, than any of them...!
And speaking of the fight... It seemed that it would soon end in Shalin's favor; the Venonat having made the mistake of getting too close to Caprice, and having gotten on the receiving end of a fiery Fire Blast or Flamethrower as a result...!
As the Venonat - likely well-done now, after receiving a point-blank fire attack like that - ran off to put itself out, Ettie and co would slowly approach; keeping a respectful distance from Caprice, but also wanting to assess how everyone was doing. Sliding off of her Furfrou's back, she would sit criss-cross on the sand, and offer a warm smile to the two pokemon. "I'm sure you both fought well, though it looks like getting bit like that hurt...!" She'd remark to them, both in praise and in sympathy. She'd cast a glance first at Serena, then at Caprice, and tilt her head a little - adding in question "How are you two feeling? Are you two doing okay?"
Thankfully though, regardless of how they were feeling, they would be sure to feel better soon; as Azur would catch up to the assembled group, to check up on everyone...! As Azur worked his nurse-y magic, Ettie would watch curiously; seemingly keen on seeing whether she could gleam any knowledge from observing and listening in on the older man's work...! The other pokemon, too, would watch curiously; though the Lillipup just seemed disinterested, instead eyeing the Furfrou - as if wondering whether he could pick a fight with his far larger pack-mate. Before the pup could act on his temptations though, Azur would treat Serena to the best of his ability - applying ointment, giving a medicine ball, and finishing off by brushing the powder out of the Persian's fur and massaging her! And once he finished, he'd give Shalin more medicine balls to help treat Serena, before glancing in Ettie's direction, and ask her about the situation.
Post by Ettie Carnall on May 12, 2020 18:45:08 GMT
With how much Ettie had been focused on Azur's treatments, she'd blink a bit belatedly upon being asked a question - taking a second to process and react - though would soon speak up, mentioning "Not much, besides Serena and Caprice fighting a Venonat! I would've helped, but well... It seemed a lot stronger than any of our pokemon, were." However, the mention of an affectionate Purrloin, as well as the new ball that she'd notice in Azur's possesion, would make her tilt her head curiously. "A Purrloin?" She'd ask him, smiling brightly. "Did you make friends with it..??"
Meanwhile, the Lillipup - as though indirectly affirming Ettie's explanation from before - would flop onto the sand and grumble; displeased that the Venonat had to be so much stronger than them. When was he going to get a pokemon that he could fight, that wasn't just gonna scruff him like Anne did...??
Well, it seemed that the fighty little pup was going to get his opponent more-or-less right now..! Drawn to the area by the sounds of combat from Shalin's fight with the Venonat, a Tyrogue would arrive on the scene; clearly looking quite raring to go! So raring to go, in fact, that he'd approach Ettie's pack, take up a stance, and let out a challenging cry! The Lillipup's ears would go straight up at this - visibly at alert - as he turned his head towards the Fighting-type pokemon. Huuuuhhhh???? This Tyrogue wants a fight, does he??? Well, he was more than happy to oblige!
Getting up and shaking the sand off of his fur, the Lillipup would turn towards the Tyrogue, and growl an excited challenge of his own. The other canines were a bit skeptical about whether letting their littlest brother fight was a good idea; though Anne would gesture to let the Lillipup be, hoping that this would be a good learning experience for the Lillipup. Certainly, this Tyrogue was stronger than him - for more reasons than just levels - but the young Lillipup was just too raring to go for a good fight to really worry about that. Besides, he'd ask himself - grinning a bit to himself, as he heard a few of his packmates barking cheers and encouragement to him - just how hard could fighting this Tyrogue be?
Pretty hard, it'd quickly turn out. Though the Lillipup would attempt to make the first move by coming in with a Tackle, the Tyrogue was much faster than him; darting in close before the Lillipup could even leap, and clapping in his face to make him flinch..! That was bad enough to stop the Lillipup in his tracks, though the Tyrogue wasn't finished with his Fake out attack; following up the clap with a sharp strike of his palm, to send the little canine tumbling back, over the sand...! The Lillipup, just from that, would be hurting, though thankfully still able to stand; their differences in level quite clear. Growling both in pain at the ache the strike left behind, and in frustration, the Lillipup would turn towards the Tyrogue - ready to get in a revenge strike - but...!

... The Popplio would be the one to act first, jumping into the fight, and putting himself between the Lillipup and the Tyrogue! Though the Tyrogue was, at first, quizzical at the seal pokemon coming in... the Popplio was quick to explain himself with a bark (or, more appropriately, a bwark) of his own; he would be a far better match for this fight, and he wanted a chance to prove himself to his new pack...! Though the Lillipup grumbled - unhappy that he was being pulled out of the fight already - he'd suppose that the Popplio could have this one, and slowly move back to rejoin the group; the Furfrou giving him a lick on the head, as though to try and soothe his pride, whilst Ettie placated him with the extra rare candies she had. The Tyrogue, meanwhile, would briefly think this over... Before nodding in agreement; alright, he'd fight this Popplio instead..!
Thus, the Tyrogue would start things off against his new opponent with a Focus Energy; taking up a stance, and making a valiant, shout-like cry, to pump himself up...! The Popplio, though, would respond with a Disarming Voice; a howl-like shout in the Tyrogue's direction, that would make the Fighting-Type flinch..! It was a super effective attack, being fairy-type; and as a result, was sure to hurt a bit...! The Tyrogue, though, was quick to retaliate with a Tackle; the critical strike being able to send the both of them tumbling across the sand, and being sure to leave the seal pokemon hurting just as equally...!
In the background, the pack would be cheering the Popplio just as they initially tried to cheer on the Lillipup; barking and whooping alike from both the canines, and Ettie. This seemed to be more than enough to get the Popplio to shake the Tyrogue off; blasting the fighting type with a Water Gun, to put some distance between the both of them...! The Tyrogue would be flung back a short distance, but would be able to get back on his feet with ease - darting in with another Tackle...! The Popplio would manage to just dodge the attack, however; rolling to the side, and retaliating with another Disarming Voice that'd have the Tyrogue reeling once again...!
It quickly became clear that aside from Fake Out though, that Tackle was the only move that the Tyrogue had; and between the Tackle lacking that same-type bonus, as well as the critical hits that Focus Energy aided in not being guaranteed? It seemed that the poor Fighting-Type had a disadvantage on the move side of things, on top of the level side of things, compared to the Popplio's variety of attacks, including the sure-hit super effective Disarming Voice..! This didn't mean that the tackles didn't hurt, though; when the critical hits landed, they landed; sending the Popplio tumbling about every time.
As a result, though the fight didn't take as long as the fight between Duchess and the Pichu did, it'd end roughly the same; the Tyrogue being sent reeling and collapsing with a finishing-move Aqua Jet, whilst the Popplio was panting and hurting from the accumulated damage dealt to him.

Any aches and bruises left behind by the fight with the Tyrogue though, would surely be worth the reception that the Popplio got from his pack; the canines gathering about him as they howled and barked in praise, just as they had praised Duchess before..! Ettie, too, would laugh as she went up to the Popplio; scooping him up in her arms, and patting him on the head! "Atta boy, you did great..!" She'd praise him; smiling brightly, only to soon realize... "... Though, you and the other two still need names, don't you guys...? Hmm.."
As the pack congratulated the Popplio on his victory, and while Ettie began to ponder over what names her three newest packmates deserved, the Tyrogue would slowly rise up to his feet; brushing off the sand that clung to him, after having been soaked by Water Guns and Aqua Jets. The Popplio, gazing down to him, would bark and wave a bit - thanking the Tyrogue for the fight - to which the Fighting type nodded; turning back towards the woods beyond the shore, and disappearing into the foliage.
Which then left Ettie and the pack to fuss over the two hurt pups, and figure out some names. Ettie would usher the Lillipup and Popplio both over to Azur - mentioning "Let's get you two patched up, while we think names!" with a bright smile; sitting down with the two, the pack gathering nearby. "Now, to start with you two... Hmm...." Ettie would fall quiet as she fell into thought, humming to herself, and tilting her head from side to side.
Thankfully, it wouldn't be long before she'd decide on some names, though; starting first with an easy one, as she'd glance to the Lillipup. "How about we name you... Ruffian!" The Lillipup - now Ruffian - would mull over the name for a moment, before nodding, and barking in agreement! Yeah, he could dig it; that sounded like a pretty tough name, all things considered...! Ettie, giggling, would ruffle Ruffian's fur; smiling brightly. "I'm glad you like it!"
Then, there was the Popplio. This one took a little more thought from Ettie, as she furrowed her brows deeply, though... "... How about... Aurien?" She'd soon suggest to the little seal; to which he'd bwark in response, clapping his flippers eagerly! This would make Ettie laugh - responding with an "Arf!" of her own as she clapped her hands, too! (She probably wasn't going to tell anyone that Aurien's name came from a storybook she read once, though.)
And then, finally, there was the Furfrou - who sat next to her expectantly. To be honest, Ettie had been able to think up a few different ideas, even if she wasn't sure whether they were necessarily Kalosian names, but... She'd flop against the larger canine's side; snuggling up to him with a warm giggle, and declare "And I think I'll name you... Pierre!" Pierre would tilt his head a little - as if mulling over the name - though... He'd nod in agreement with a soft bark, curling up around Ettie as he did. He liked it; which meant that everyone had their names, now.
Now all that was left, was for Ruffian and Aurien to get patched up...! OOC: 3 rolls left on the normal incense, and applying the Rare Candies that Ruffian was given OOC

Serena was a bit antsy as Azur worked his magic, her fur standing on end as a cool, almost cold, feeling overcame her. She was at first cranky when offered the berry mix, sniffing it, backing up, and waving her paw at it. "Come on, Serena, just take it," Shalin chided. "You'll feel a lot better, trust me." She shook her head and reluctantly started eating, squinting at how sour the medicine was. "That's a good girl!" After getting through the sour, Poffin-shaped medicine, the Persian walked over toward her trainer and hugged her, Shalin flinching as the Normal-type accidentally nicked her trainer with one of her claws.
Following his advice, Shalin recalled the now-drowsy Persian, then gestured toward her Ninetales. "Caprice is hurt too. I know it's a lot to ask...but do you mind treating her, too? How can I repay you for this? You didn't have to..." She went on for a while, not used to someone proactively offering services like this. In her homeland, it was all about the money. If Azur decided to check Caprice, she would find much of the wounds to be the same.
Without Shalin to keep her in check, Kiku wandered back toward the forest, getting into a scuffle with a Leavenny along the outskirts. As his tail pressure built for a Flamethrower, the wild took the initiative, coming up from under his belly and up to his chin with one of its sharp arms. The Skuntank reared in pain, the wild mercilessly cutting across his exposed chest again! He loudly snorted toward Shalin mid-limp, the Leavenny gaining ground on him fast.
"Not again..." Shalin sighed. "Sorry, Azur - gotta protect my girl real quick." She withdrew Caprice and Kiku, then loosed Flit without further comment about the Skuntank's behavior. "Cover your ears, everyone!" She faced her giant dragonfly, his mandibles wide open in an effort to scare the Leavenny away. "Flit, Bug Buzz that thing away!" As soon as she issued the command, she put her earplugs back in and watched her Yanmega go.
As Flit's drone grew in volume and pitch, the Leavenny rooted itself in the nearby dirt, trying to lower herself enough to launch a stinger at a small enough angle that the wind wouldn't blow it wildly off course. Despite the crazy wind and headache-inducing drone, the wild stood its ground. "Faster, Flit!" Shalin shouted, unsure if she could even be heard. She was.
The Yanmega's wings disappeared from human sight completely, his entire body visibly shaking from how powerful the vibration was. He sounded almost like a race car with the gas pedal to the floor. The resulting shock wave completely uprooted the grass for several feet around him, covering Shalin's front in green. Unable to withstand such a powerful sonic assault, the Leavenny fell to the ground, Shalin unsure whether the wild's legs were even designed to flex that far back. Once the coast was clear, Flit eased off slowly, his wings revving for quite a while before calming all the way down. Once they had stopped, she released Caprice again, took her earplugs out, and shouted back, "You two okay?!"

Azur was thankful of the explanation and nodded. "Right, so I didn't miss much. Yes, actually I have her on me at the moment... But... well, how to say... I can't really call her out because my current party is pretty much six. So... yeah, there you have it I guess? She sounded like she's really content to be around me though."
And more fighting happened. While this happened, Azur rummaged his bag for more healing before... Oh! What's this? is this... could this be? Azur pulled it out and found a revive! Jackpot! He quickly called out Zeit and feed it to him. Zeit soon seem to be feeling better. Whew! At any rate... Shalin addressed him soon after the treatment. How to pay him back eh...
"By treating your Pokemons kindly. Make sure they're not going to get any permanent injuries. I'm government paid, that alone is enough for my job. I have my own oath to follow, and that's just normal for me to offer my service to anyone who need it. That's what it means to be a Nurse. Plus I got my materials from the Nurse Association too, so all is well. Don't worry about it."
Azur cracked his fingers to prepare himself for treatment. Currently... those that needs treatments are... Caprice, Ruffian, Aurien eh.. With Zeit that would be four. He rummaged his bags to check the content, then made a note: Caprice - Bug bite, anemia... Ruffian, probably bruise and some damage, Aurien, more than Ruffian, Zeit... wet, fairy wind. Alright, done. He pulled out several medicines from his bag and put it on the ground, dividing it per treatment.
"Well then, I'm going to treat you, Caprice. I know you don't like someone who you just met to handle you, but please hang on for the meantime, alright?" Azur began the treatment by assessing the bite wound. Fire types are resistant against Bug type attacks, which also extend to their poison... which means he doesn't have to treat this with the salve as much as he does Serena. He slowly applied the salve, making a round movement with his finger. "Sorry if it feels a bit chilly. The salve is like that." and after that... "Her anemia isn't as bad as Caprice's but due to typing differences, I have different berry mix for her to eat. Here, it might be a bit spicy, but it's meant to give enough internal temperature boost for fire type when they're anemic." Compared from the sour poffin-shaped berry mix from before, this one definitely smelled spicy. "...Just so you know, they're also edible for humans. If you got anemic, you could tell me, I'll fix one in a jiffy," Azur joked.
He also noted that Caprice was knocked out by the same sleep inducing powders. He brushed those out from her furs too, making sure that she's clean before gently applying few massages. There are not that many difference on Ninetales and Persian, thankfully. He just have to avoid her tails. And now that it's done... Azur nodded at Shalin, giving her another three berry balls in a pack and gestured thirty. noZeqv1q profession boost (fail)

In the middle of treatment though he saw Kiku is in problem... and then Shalin sending out her Yanmega. Azur winced and dug deep for any earplugs. Nope. He must have not packed the earplugs. Damn. Time to improvise. He pulled out his noise cancelling headphone he used to use for studying and connected it to his phone. He managed to advert the crisis by immediately playing a noise cancelling sound from his phone. Whew, frick!
"Barely fine, but it's alright," Azur replied. He took the headphone off and planned to assess the damage later on Kiku. Lot of patients today! "Alright, Anne, I need your help for this one. Make sure he's still if possible..." He's not sure if Ruffian would like to be handled by him considering how fighty he is... But whatever!
"Assessing damage... Kay, so he got hit by Fake Out and a palm strike huh... Growl if it hurts," Azur prodded on the hit spot, trying to asses damage if anything is broken or is it just bruise. Once he know what's going on, Azur would set his phone in speaker mode and plays a soft music meant to calm down nerves. Sometimes Fake Outs would make some Pokemon still disoriented or jumpy toward another sudden sounds. Making them listen to soft music like this calms their nerves.
Azur then took a mortar and pestle out... yes, mortar and pestle. He then put in several herbs looking item, and a berry. He crushed it together, before pouring a bit of water in to make the consistency a bit less thick and pasty. A bit of emulsifier, and afterward slathered it on bandages. He followed that by bandaging Ruffian in here he got hit, making sure to be cautious to not aggravate the pain further.
"Please do tell if it gets too warm," Azur told Ruffian. "It's some sort paste that gives a warm sensation to relax the muscles. It's essentially a self made heat pads. It will reduces the pain slightly while at it. However, it might be either too lukewarm or too hot for some Pokemons. I made it with Normal types in mind though, so it should be fine," he told Ettie.
After he tied it up, he somehow... massaged him? The idea is to return his respiratory system back to normal. Sometimes when you got struck somewhere specific, not only your muscles sore, but it will give some side effects. Being hit on the head could make you dizzy and disoriented. Laying your head in specific manner helps, but sometimes you need to massage it after you gained your balance back. If you're hit on your solar plexus, sometimes there are a feeling of air being stuck. Massaging the back to certain degree, as long as nothing is broken, could also clear up that feeling. That's what he's doing right now.
"There's no need to give him any supplements or anything. For the meantime make sure he's eating enough, alright? Try something soft first." LfvuFkX_ for profession
