Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
This swarm closes at 11:59pm site time on May 31. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
Traveling on Route 2 was quite interesting for Ettie; it was all a new experience, and she wanted to see everything that it had to offer...! As a result, Ettie would - some time after having made for Cherry Town - idly wander into the woods that surrounded it; her pack in tow..!
She wasn't exactly aware that there were Skitties swarming here; though she would indeed catch a glimpse of a flash of pink in the trees up above, as she moved along. This seemed to excite Duchess a bit; the Electrike barking and trying to give chase to whatever was moving amongst the branches, from on foot..! Ettie, laughing, was sure to follow after - though whether they'd find the pokemon that they were tracking down, or another pokemon altogether, would stand to be seen... A flash of pink - it was there! No, there! No it was over there...! Duchess was on the trail, but that pink shape - larger than she expected - was bouncing about every which way, keeping just ahead of them...! It would only be when one of the branches above audibly snapped - a startled yowl sounding out from above - that a large Skitty would fall down, right on top of the hyperactive Electrike..!
Duchess was dazed, but the electricity that traveled through her fur would course through the poor Skitty's own; leaving the feline both dazed and paralyzed..! Static, though a useful ability in battle, sometimes caused for accidental paralysis like this - which can be a pain, Ettie quickly found out.
Still, this meant that... Ettie could try catching the Skitty, right? Though she wasn't sure whether the feline would get along with the pack, she was sure that she could have Azur look at her and patch her up. And then afterwards, she could find someone else who might like a Skitty to call their own... Making up her mind, she'd decide to throw a Pokeball at it, seeing whether she'd be able to catch it. Catching w a normal Pokeball

A certain trainer was finding herself travelling the route between Plum City and Cherry town more than she would have liked. It wasn't necesscarily a bad thing; it got her out of the house and her team was slowly gathering much needed experience in battling. Right now she was keeping an eye on the sky and the gathering dark clouds in the distance.
"Keep up Jack." She called. A pink head popped out of a nearby bush with an affirmative trill and then the rest of the feline appeared, dragging a stick.
She sighed and shook her head, a fond smile on her lips.

A paw much larger than Jack's own stepped down on the end of the stick he had been pulling. A shadow fell across the Skitty as he looked up at the Delcatty that stood over him, a curious look on the evolution's face.
Jack wagged his tail, hopeful. He had picked out this stick specifically because it was light and whippy and the leaves on the end reminded him of the feathers and wand toy Brianna used for "agility training" at home. He had been hoping to entice her iinto having fun when they left the house today, but with the grueling pace she had been setting there hadn't been time for him to find any fun thing to show her. But this Delcatty? He thought she'd like to meet another.
He wagged his tail again, a questioning 'mrow?' slipping around the branch. The Delcatty tilted his head and then stepped back, off the branch. He picked up the end instead and, when Jack gave an experimental tug, moved with Jack. Instantly the Skitty perked up and turned to catch up with his human.
"Hey are you co- oh sweet Arceus there's two of you." Brianna's voice abruptly fell flat when she turned and saw the Delcatty helping Jack with his stick.
Jack let go of the stick to yowl a confirmation to reassure her that she was, indeed, seeing correctly. He didn't understand why she doubted herself so often! Nor did he understand why she was now squatting down in the middle of the path with her hands over her head and her eyes shut. Concerned he trotted over to her, meowing quietly as he nosed at her hands. It was okay! Just because he had made a new friend didn't mean he didn't still like her!
There was a rustle behind him and then the soft pit-pat of feet and then the Delcatty was there with him. He stared at Jack for a moment when Jack pushed against Brianna's hands and she mumbled something, and then he sat and put one of his larger paws on Brianna's hands and pushed.
"Wha-oh. It's you." She said, her voice dropping from complaining to flat agin upon seeing the Delcatty. She sighed and fished a ball out of her bag and gently tossed it against the cat's feet. "Well, do you want to stay with him?"

(lv 23) Aumia - Lucky Egg Have Shiny Charm
Arietta found herself searching for a new place to practice her dance moves, Aumia was growing restless with the same scenery and Arietta really, really wanted to busy herself. A hand pushed through her hair as she began down the route, eyes on the lookout for a clearing, a parting in the trees- or... just somewhere cute. Perhap saying Aumia was restless was an excuse...
Ara was the restless one. When something was worrying her or when she had problems she had basically expendable energy that she felt the need to get rid of- if she wasn't doing something, anything, she felt uncomfortable and her thoughts consumed her.
So... maybe looking around this route would help. A route she'd never explored before. That's what she could hope, anyways. With Aumia settled on her shoulder, sparkls dancing upon the mouse pokemons cheeks, it was almost like... an adventure.

(lv 23) Aumia - Lucky Egg Have Shiny Charm
Through the forest, Arietta trekked on. Pushing through bushy leaves that threatened to tangle her hair if she made a wrong step and rocks that very well could have tripped her up if she wasn't like super nimble and stuff. She was straying off the path, and Aumia was keeping good watch! Squeaking every so often when Arietta offered up the question of 'left' and 'right' to get her input in on where they'd... hopefully find a spot.
Of course, Arietta was forced to come to a stop as a huge, thick tree stood in her path. Eyes wide, the girl looked around- another tree to her left! Whiiich meant... Eyes glanced to Aumia who's tail flicked to the right, a squeak leaving her. Right it was! With a hum Arietta began deeper into the forest, through the shrubbery until... she heard a noise. A loud noise, almost like... a soft meow?
Oh. What could this be!? Arietta practically launched herself forward, curious. Cat pokemon were always so cute! Of course, Aumia wasn't the keenest on them but it was fine! It wasn't long before her eyes settled on a rather... peculiar cat. It was a skitty, even Arietta could tell that but... it was... grey and fluffy?! Oh! Oh she wanted this kitty!
The kitten in question stared at her in confusion, large tail standing upright, like a viper ready to strike. A loud, confused meow left her but Arietta wouldn't have that, nuh-uh! "Aum!" At the call of her name, Aumia leapt forwards, running down Arietta's arm and tumbling to the floor with an excited squeak! Let's do this! "Mi-Mi! Thunder Shock!"

Aumia let out another cry before a large mass of electrical energy surrounded her- and was send bareeling right innto the skitty! And- And! She was paralyzed! Unable to battle back Arietta quickly moved to grab out a pokeball, launching it towards the grey coloured mon.
