Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
To participate in the Swarm, first post in this thread looking for a Pokemon. A mod will tag you and reply with stats for one Pokemon you find, including color and possibly even evolution depending on the species. Reply again encountering and trying to capture the Pokemon. Once you succeed, do not post in the thread again.
You may only find one per character, no rerolls. This is to prevent spamming to find special Pokemon. If for any IC reason you need to encounter another, use the same stats originally rolled and pretend it's a different individual.
Pokemon in Swarms have a 20% chance of being a special coloration!
Pokemon in swarms have a +20% capture rate with any ball, and will never flee.
This swarm closes at 11:59pm site time on May 31. After that, no new encounters will be spawned. However, anyone who has an ongoing encounter that isn't yet finished has until 11:59pm on the 15th of the following month to finish trying to catch their encounter. After that, the thread will be locked and archived.
Sid looked like they weren't in any shape to be moving for a while, and Kaisei was getting antsy. So he left half of his team with them, trusting that they would alert him if anything happened, and that between them and Sid's own Pokemon they could take care of themselves. Saber followed along behind Kaisei as he walked through the forest, leaving the X-shaped marks on trees intentionally this time so they could have a trail to follow back to Sid. He hadn't been keen on the idea - saying she should probably rest as well - but after everything that had happened Saber was loath to let Kaisei out of her sight again. [break][break] They traipsed through the forest a while before Kaisei's attention was drawn by the sounds of chattering and... cracking? He followed the sound on the ground while releasing Murakumo to scout by air. After a time, the bird Pokemon let out a cheep and flew down to perch on Kaisei's head, twittering animatedly at Saber. She nodded solemnly and pushed ahead, motioning Kaisei to follow along. [break][break] They arrived at what looked to Kaisei like a generic stand of tropical trees before he noticed that some of the trees had legs... and were surrounded by batches of little eggs. Murakumo seemed raring to go for a scrap with the little eggy mons. Perhaps he could add an Exeggcute to his collection. He did have a farm, the perfect place to house it - and its potential evolutions. [break][break] Party: Absol (Saber, Lv8, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv6, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv6, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 249 WC[break]
Eggs? Kaisei hadn't seen too many of these back in Kanto - to his understanding they were somewhat of a novelty, native to the Fuchsia City Safari Zone and not a lot of other places. If it was a plant, Murakumo could probably crack it, but their strength in numbers made him think he needed to soften them up a bit first. He thus made the decision to send out both Hayato and Murakumo in tandem, figuring that five against two was a more even fight. [break][break] "Hayato, Fake Out! Murakumo, use Peck!" Kaisei commanded. The Tyrogue rushed in with a sudden attack that smacked the "lead" egg right in the face, startling the others long enough for Murakumo to land a Peck with his beak on one of the other egg heads. Hayato's body then began to glow with bright blue energy as Kaisei called for a Helping Hand attack, and when Murakumo flew in for another attack the blue energy flowed over to empower him, the Peck hitting with a resounding cracking sound. [break][break] TaRkowJIp_ [break][break] The Exeggcute banded together and directed hypnotic waves of psychic energy at Hayato, causing him to fall asleep as Murakumo Pecked again. These eggs were pretty tough! With the ground foe asleep, they directed their attention to the sky. Five of the eggs lined up and began to use the sixth as a launching pad, flinging themselves bodily through the air in a Barrage attack. Though the Swablu dodged most of them, two found their marks. [break][break] p_ [break][break] Murakumo, irritated, fluffed up his feathers and began to Sing, putting the mass of eggs right to sleep alongside Hayato. But Kaisei knew they could wake up at any time. He retrieved a Pokeball from his bag and let it fly. [break][break] Party: Absol (Saber, Lv8, 5/5 Energy), Tyrogue (Hayato, Lv6>Lv7, 5/5 Energy), Swablu (Murakumo, Lv6>Lv7, 5/5 Energy) [break][break] Notes: 290 WC[break] Attempting capture with a Pokeball. +10% catch chance due to Sleep.
One might have expected that a woman who made her life on selling eggs would find catching a Pokemon that was, in essence, more eggs to be somewhat ridiculous. However, Exeggcute had quite a bit of value down the line. While their more standard evolutionary form was but a simple Grass/Psychic, the same as itself, their alternative form was Grass/Dragon, which was quite a bit more valuable in the breeding market. So for that reason alone she was out looking for one such creature. If there were any to be found it would surely be on a nice, sunny morning such as this, when it was warm enough for the actual plants to be blooming and similarly the Pokemon like them would be out and about as well.
Maeve checked the time on her watch as she waited patiently in the grass for signs of movement. Exeggcute were fairly small, but not so much as they were easy to miss. So long as she had her eyes open and alert she should be able to see the telltale pink--or, preferably, gold--of its "shell". Yes, she knew they were more coconuts than eggs, but their name didn't really help to clarify that, now did it.
There were a report of a... oddly colored Exeggcute here apparently... Swarms in Arciel seem to bring out strange things such as oddly colored specieses. Not that he have encountered any, but he heard about this from locals. Compared to Skarmories, looks like this one is less... what to say...? Less aggressive? Also with Torchics it's the same, so... here hoping that he could catch some rare Pokemon. Not for himself though. He heard there are some people who really want this egg, and so he want to capture the eggs for them, just to make their days, see?
...But whether he could catch them or not that is the question. In this journey, he's followed by Riku the Riolu, Kagari the Torchic, a Honedge Egg, a Rockruff Egg... Azalea the Frillish and finally Randgris the Rookidee. Now let's see how lucky he is... or how unlucky he is. Here finger crossed.
You know what? Praying actually works, to some extent that is! Not only that he thought he won't find any Pokemons of that coloration, he was actually expecting the base form... Well, the second expectation hits its mark, but the first expectation? He was dead wrong. Riku immediately signed at him, pointing at a clearing... Oh dang. There it is. Agate immediately calls out Azalea in case the Pokemon broke away from the Pokeball... but he happened to got a special ball... how he ended up with it, well... someone gave it to him, his father actually. But either way... a Quick Ball.
Agate licked his lips in anticipation. He pressed the button to grow the pokeball to its proper size and immediately after... Pokeball go! He tossed it as fast as he could toward the Exeggcute. Let's see how the result would go! Here hoping that he manage to catch it!

[attr="class","curragepost"] Calliope... really liked food-based Pokemon. That was it that was her whole reason for being here. Well, that and her love of colorful things. An Exeggcute swarm would have been enough to get her out here, but one containing rainbow eggs? She simply had to try for them.
Still, she wished they'd picked a different place to swarm... The woods were kind of creepy, and Callie's nerves were on edge as she walked along. Thankfully she had Muffin by her side, else she might not be brave enough to venture in. As it was, she was trying to stick to the thinner outskirts of the forest rather than risk going too deep. "Here, Eggy Eggy Eggy..." she murmured quietly.
