The ding of one Pokeball echoed in the air, but the second Pokeball shook violently before finally spilling outwards. The exhausted looking big sister Eevee was barely on her legs, but she wasn’t done yet! Looking sideways at the captured ball, however, she immediately squeaked and went running towards it— only to look disheartened when it disappeared off to Gabe’s PC. Looking back at the Lucario and the human nearby, she tearfully barked out a response. <Give him back!>
Sen frowned. Gabe smirked and shook his head. “Can’t do,” was the answer back. The Eevee hesitated before stomping her foot. Forming a Swift, she sent her stars crashing forward again. Sen raised his paws and braced through the stars before shaking them off again right after. “Don’t knock her completely out… Power Up Punch,” Gabe decided. Sen still found this overkill especially against such a small opponent, but he stepped forward, formed the punch ,and sent it crashing downwards. The Eevee yelped as she took the damage, once more knocked off her very feet. Gabe grasped the Pokeball that had been broken out of, checked it a few times, and threw it once again.

Eevee though on the rarer side as pokemon go, were easily some of the most popular pokemon known to man. And with their extreme versatility and very unique means of evolution, not to mention them being insanely adorable, it wasn't surprising that Elizabeth desired to complete her 'collection' of the eeveelutions.
The ranger had originally started with young Ena, now a flareon. After she acquired the blonde eevee Evan the two made for natural mates. Ever since then Ena and Evan had produced five eggs, the youngest of which being the twins, Eran the umbreon and Eirian the espeon. The other three were still awaiting importation through Arciel customs.
So the ranger was still needing two and it seemed wise to spread out the gene pool a bit. Thus the rumors of an eevee swarm seemed the perfect opportunity to introduce some fresh blood to the team. And since they were looking for eevee, might as well let the eevees out to play.
Route 1 was a safe enough spot to allow everyone to run free. While Tansy and Raya stayed with the trainer, Evan, Ena, Eran and Eirian ran on ahead chasing one another and tromping through the grass as they fanned out looking for more of their kin.
Juni was a little surprised that she had somehow obtained an Eevee crown without actually having an Eevee, but with a swarm up and running, it looked like a good time to rectify that. Riding on the back of Blades her absolutely massive Absol, Juni remembered why she didn’t ride on Blades, her absolutely massive Absol all that often. The way she moved was ever so slightly nauseating on long distances. Between that and the soft rocking of the un-incubator’d egg in her backpack was… was something.
I’ll have to raise up Blazer soon… Juni reminded herself for the nth time that trip.
Soon enough they were riding through Route 1, and Juni was calling Blades to slow and start looking around. Hopefully this wouldn’t take too learn to search and find. Adjusting her glasses, Juni shifted and grabbed a Pokeball releasing Fang the large Manectric. “Between the two of you, we should find… at least… one….” Juni leaned over her knees trying not to be too sick. On her back, she felt the egg shift again, and Juni leaned up again thereafter.

Before Angel, Sid couldn’t understand why Eevee as an evolution Pokemon was so popular. Now, after having the Espeon in their life, Sid completely understood. They understood so well that they earnestly wanted more of them, perhaps a Sylveon or Jolteon or Flareon even. They had been planning to head home after a particularly long week of work in Birch, but the Eevee swarm on Route 1 was too enticing to ignore.
So there they were looking around carefully with Angel by their side. She was …. She was so thankful that they had made it so clear that this was not a replacement search because otherwise she would have been very anxious… but Sid was a good human. They loved and cared for her despite her flaws and insecurities, and she honestly wouldn’t know where she would be today without them… And she wanted to help them. She wanted to elicit more of her brethren to help assist them in any way they could! So she scanned the air and occasionally gave a small tutting sound in report that they hadn’t come across any yet. “Arigato, Ange,” Sid would answer as they continued forward.

Puppy - lv 6
Irina had heard rumours about the pretty puppies roaming the lands this month, with gorgeous coats and friendly demeanors- and she was excited to go check them out! Puppy was leading the way for Irina through the thick of route 1, where one of her siblings had told her was a great place to start looking for the fluffballs. Puppy was in a great state of mind today, more chipper than usual. Irina hadn't be running off or getting as distracted as usual, and that basically meant she was more focused on her task!
"Puppy!" Her voice called out, and the Litleo who was a few paces ahead slowed down a little, head tilting to look back at his dark haired trainer. There was a small smile on Iri's part, and a giggle. "Stay close to me, okay! That way we can run at the same time if we see another puppy- oh- or a kitten!"

Puppy - lv 6
Puppy easily went on with Irina's command, a soft yip leaving him. For a while, the duo walked side-by-side, scouting out their surroundings and stoping at every sound so Irina could look wildly around for what she hoped was a friendly puppy. Unforunately, for the next thirty minutes or so all sounds were just dead ends, and left Iri feeling more and more dejected. Just when all hope was lost, and Irina was debating turning around to go back home and tell her siblings that the Eevee lead was a fail... she heard it. A soft mewling from just past the treeline.
Irina's Litleo could sense what Irina was about to do before she did it, the girl all but leaping forward with an excited giggle and rushing at the trees like a child on christimas morning going for their presents. Puppy was right by her side- and thankfully the two were quick! Irina almost stumbled into... some kind of fight?!
One Eevee, of... a strange colour seemed to have been relaxing under a tree, minding it's own buisness, while another assumed that Eevee was in it's territory and was ready to start a fight. "Ah- hey!!" Irina kept going forward, grabbing both their attentions. The normal coloured Eevee squinted at her, and without missing a beat ran right for her. This was it's territory, not hers! Litleo was quick to step in for Irina though, sending a fire spin with urgency and crying out at Irina...
...Irina wanted the puppy. And to get it, she had to throw a ball at it! There was little to no hesitance before Irina whipped out a ball and threw it at the stunned Eevee- the other one seemed to be watching on in alarm, eyes going to Litleo then to Irina. A few soft cries left him, too. Irina only grinned and threw a ball at him too! She was gonna get all the puppies, today!

(primrose - lv26)
The read beat down hard upon Adelaide Gladstone and Primrose, her Bayleef. The girl had been attempting to ride her from Bass to Birch so she could get to her next shift at her cafe, however just as she'd stumbled upon route one the rain decided to make itself known, unleashing ice cold droplets that caused Adelaide to squirm and begin freaking out about every known thing uder the sun-
What if she slipped off Primrose?! It'd be a long fall from the grass type and... and she could just die like that! No witnesses! And- and then, her makeup! Her makeup would run and when she got to work they'd force her to take it all off, and then arceus save her she'd be judged by the state of her clothing- what if her shirt became see through?!
Despite all of this, Prim was powering through the route, trying her best to reassure Adelaidr and her ever-tightening grip on the Bayleef through soft crying and a repetitive, "Bayyyy...." Adelaide would be fine. Surely, nothing could stop them in the midst of this chaotic weather.
No sooner had Kaisei finished with the Buneary than he ran into another large group of mammalian Pokemon -- this time it was Eevee. But weren't Eevee supposed to be rare? Perhaps this was their breeding season, as they had migrated into the fields in large numbers, even larger than the swarm of Buneary. Everywhere he looked, he could see another Eevee. And, of course, a smattering of trainers, trying to catch those Eevee. [break][break] Could his Pokemon handle another encounter so soon? After a quick check of the two eggs in his backpack, he determined that they could, and rode his bicycle slowly over toward the foxlike Pokemon, being careful not to make any loud noises or sudden movements that would startle them away. [break][break] Party: Cherubi (Hinata, Lv13, 5/5 Energy), Heracross (Masaki, Lv11, 5/5 Energy), Remoraid (Minami, Lv11, 5/5 Energy), Dottler (Ayumu, Lv10, 5/5 Energy), Togepi Egg (2/10 hatching posts), Bagon Egg (2/15 hatching posts) [break][break] Notes: 123 WC[break]
He apparently wasn't stealthy enough, as the first Eevee he came upon yelped in surprise and darted away from him. When he looked at it more closely, though... was its fur grey? Surely a rare coloration of Eevee would be more valuable than any old one. He was about to throw a Pokeball at it, when a blur leaped out of a burrow and positioned itself in front of it, snarling and yapping at him. The grey colored Eevee then seemed to regain its confidence, standing shoulder to shoulder with the other one. [break][break] Perhaps these two were a bonded pair? If so, he'd have to just catch both of them. "Minami, Ayumu, you're up!" he shouted, sending two Pokeballs flying into the air. The Remoraid emerged in a floating bubble of water while the Dottler plunked down heavily onto the grass. The fight-happy Eevee immediately launched into a Quick Attack, crashing heavily into Ayumu and sending him rolling backward on the grass, somewhat dazed. [break][break] "Ayumu, Reflect!" The bug Pokemon extended his feelers forward, producing a shimmering white screen that protected not only himself but Minami as well. "Now, Minami, use Water Pulse!" Within the floating bubble, a blue sphere of concentrated watery energy was drawn together in front of the Remoraid, before being spat out at her opponents. The agile gray Eevee managed to leap out of the way, but the brown Eevee was not so lucky, and the water splashed upon her fur. She hissed and retaliated with a Tackle on Minami, sending the fish Pokemon tumbling through the air, though its impact was greatly dampened by the reflective shield. [break][break] The gray Eevee said something to the brown, and they joined paws for a moment before both glowing with blue electrical sparks -- a Helping Hand attack? "Well, two can play at that game. Minami, use Helping Hand on Ayumu! Ayumu, Confusion!" The fish did not in fact have hands, but she could supercharge Ayumu with a blue glow all the same. This time, when the brown Eevee's Quick Attack landed, its mate was hot on its heels. Ayumu flinched back a little but stood his ground, his eyes glowing red. The brown Eevee found itself lifted into the air by the same red glow and flung backward into the gray one, both Pokemon crashing to the ground and clearly injured. It was time for Kaisei to throw two more Pokeballs, this time in capture. [break][break] Party: Cherubi (Hinata, Lv13, 5/5 Energy), Heracross (Masaki, Lv11, 5/5 Energy), Remoraid (Minami, Lv11>Lv12, 5/5 Energy), Dottler (Ayumu, Lv10>Lv11, 5/5 Energy), Togepi Egg (3/10 hatching posts), Bagon Egg (3/15 hatching posts) [break][break] Notes: 406 WC[break] Attempting capture on both Eevee with Pokeballs.

A soft trill escaped from Angel. She had found them. She was sure. Squinting up ahead, Sid caught sight of them right after: two very beautiful silvery looking Eevee were playing… a very rough game. The smaller of the two was bouncing on the much larger who kept swatting the prior away. Perhaps that just how they were, a testament to their closeness, but it was also a bit intense actually.
A hum escaped from Sid, and Angel looked back to gauge their expression. “I think we’re going to have to battle them, Angie,” Sid spoke grabbing another Pokeball and releasing Jeanne the Excadrill as well. “Jeanne, we’re going to need your help.” The Excadrill immediately began sharping her claws causing the playing Eevees to finally take notice of them. Both were quick to jump up and look alive for battle which… honestly made Sid feel a bit better about the whole thing. They could work through whatever social issues were between them after the fact.
The first Eevee was quick to undo the work of the Hone Claws with a Charm. She was big, she was cute, and even if her naughty little brother didn’t, she knew it! The younger brother followed with a Baby-doll eyes for cute effect. “Awe oh no,” Sid sighed softly rubbing the side of their face. Even they felt a little bad for battling them. Oh well. “Angel, use Psybeam! Jeanne use Rock Slide…”
Sid felt a little bad for dishing out one Special Attack after the Eevee’s efforts to reduce their Attack, but Jeanne’s attack wouldn’t do as much damage (even if it would flinch hopefully one of them). The first Eevee squeaked and just narrowly dodged the Psybeam’s brilliant multicolored lights… only to take a smash of rocks right down on her thereafter. The second Eevee was caught under one of the rocks as well and yelped unable to move for a moment.
Sid hesitated before grabbing some Pokeballs and trying a capture.

Being an evolution stone specialist, Fayne was expected to have a full party of Eevees. So the fact that she didn't even have one came as something of a shock to most everyone who had ever met her. How could someone who wanted to know everything there was about Pokemon evolution not even own the creature known as "the evolution Pokemon." In her defense, Professor Holly had none available as a starting option when Fayne began her journey, and she had yet to come across one naturally in her travels south. It was by sheer luck and happenstance that she'd returned to Birch City before making it all the way to Pine Town, her ultimate destination. While in the Pokemon Center, getting her newly obtained egg checked out and nursed back to health, Fayne overheard folks talking about a massive hoard of Eevees passing through Route 1, some even approaching the city's outskirts.
One boy talked about how he managed to catch two Eevee in one go, and another spoke of seeing five clustered so close together that he could have caught them all if he had enough balls to do so. Fayne's eyes lit up when she heard this, and she left to pursue such a treasure-trove the first moment she got. With the ultimate plan to head south toward the mines still in the back of her mind, the young researcher made a detour to head north to do a bit of Eevee catching first. She didn't care if they were shiny or unique in color, she didn't care if they were first stage Eevees or evolved forms. She just wanted to get her hands on one... or two if she was lucky! As she made her way out of the city and down the route, she kept her eyes peeled for a bushy tail or a swarm of brown foxes.
