"Now this place is nice."
Elizabeth commented as she let out a low whistle. Tansy nodded in agreement as the venusaur happily strolled along after her training invigorated by the beauty of the garden surroundings. Raya steadily scanned the horizon but even the single minded lucario had to admit it was quite a lovely spot.
"Ah it's nice being around so many different plants and flowers, and it smells quite lovely too."
The venusaur drew in a deep breath and let out a sigh of contentment. If anyone could appreciate nature it was Tansy. The poisonous grass type simply loved being outside. And while Raya could appreciate the simple beauty of nature, not to mention the blend of auras in such a place, she didn't much like open spaces due to the way it left them exposed. She much preferred having a solid wall at her back, but she knew how to make do and kept a watchful eye, and ear, out.
"So, unusually colored pokemon are found here? Like Eirene?"
Raya inquired, watching for any approaching auras that could prove hostile. Elizabeth nodded as she closed her eyes and focused her thoughts reaching out to see if she could feel any nearby minds beyond that of the pokemon with her.
Naturally she could sense Icarus, the butterfree was happily flitting from flower to flower enjoying this time outside just like Tansy. There was also Koharu, the tiny jumpluff was allowing herself to be gently picked up and carried on the breeze, the ranger sometimes gently redirecting her back toward them with a telekinetic tap.
Aali was contently surfing about on his tail though the alolan raichu didn't stray to far from the others. And Eirwyn, well, the sylveon had wrapped her ribbon around her eyes and was running around in circles in some strange game she'd made up for herself. Beyond these minds however Liz hadn't yet detected anything though she was secretly hoping to come across an alolan vulpix, if they were lucky.

There were several minds in the garden beyond her own group. Other trainers and their pokemon, plus the roaming wild pokemon, were obviously present as well. However it seemed one of these minds had fixated upon Liz and her team and was fast approaching their location.
Raya narrowed her eyes at the frost aura headed their way though she didn't detect any hostility emanating from it. Nor did Liz pick up on any ill intent from the pokemon approaching. When he popped his head out of the brush the ranger grinned a little at the strangely hued vulpix. He didn't seem at all shy and darted right up to them looking at the group wide eyed and curious. Liz knelt down and offered a hand to him upon which he promptly sneezed.
"Gee thanks."
The young woman chuckled as she habitually responded with her telepathic voice. This seemed to startled the icy vuplix at first as he jumped back and gaped at her wide eyed. Liz grimaced a little as she quickly apologized.
"Oh gosh, sorry Vulpix I didn't mean to startle you. Sometimes I forget how shocking telepathic communication can be."
The ranger spoke in a gentle tone giving the icy fox a sheepish grin. Vulpix though seemed to forgive the mental intrusion and bounced back over to them. It seemed like the little guy didn't exactly think everything through. He began curiously sniffing Tansy and Raya, the lucario attempting to keep him at a distance though the venusaur happily dipped down her head to be level with his.
"Hi!"
He greeted excitedly apparently unfazed by the human's strange mental communication. Liz grinned a little glad he seemed comfortable with them. The vulpix suddenly turned and bounced after the floating jumpluff who huffed at him attempting to bounce her off his nose. The ranger smirked a little and gently directed Koharu downward a little with a telekinetic nudge putting her just in range of the vulpix's nose.
"Honestly this is most undignified!"
Koharu complained as the vulpix jumped up and thumped her upward much like a pup would a ball. Liz stifled a chuckle and released her hold allowing the jumpluff to float out of range of the vulpix. The icy fox whined but his attention was quickly diverted to Aali who whipped on by still surfing his tail.
"Oh cool!"
Vulpix tore off after Aali who darted around various flowers and shrubs until he circled back and flew passed Liz. The ranger was almost caught unawares and turned just in time to catch the out of breath and wriggly vulpix that practically ran into her.
"Whoa, hey you alright there?"
The ranger inquired as she giggled a little at the rambunctious vulpix. He shook himself then looked up and yipped in the affirmative. Liz grinned then pulled out a pokeball and showed it to him.
"Say Vulpix, think you'd want to come along with us?"
A soft rustling in the leaves would catch Bru’s attention, and he’d give a soft cry to alert the others before investigating for himself. Sure enough, what rested there in the grasses was a large special colored Skiddo. She did not shy away when he appeared but instead stared at him with a question question in her eyes. He stared back before looking over his shoulder and giving a more definitive cry.
Elise paused in looking up into a tree with Boxer to turn fully around. “Did you find so—“ Elise cut herself off when Bru made a gesture to come over. Instead, she quickly closed the distance between them to look. “Oh! Hello there!” Elise tried not to squeak as she stared at the very Pokemon she had been looking for, hoping to find. The Skiddo stared back and then gave a small cry in greeting.
“You’re very beautiful! I’d love to have you on my team!” Elise complimented shifting from one foot to the other. “Would you battle Bru?” The Skiddo looked form the girl to the Sawk and then back again. She supposed. Getting up onto her feet, she gave her best look of intimidation. Bru backed up and then got into a fighting stance.
The Skiddo dropped her maw and released a Bullet Seed that had the Sawk wincing but not falling. “Bru, Bulk Up!” Elise encouraged. The Sawk focused his energy in both arms and legs and then shined with Fighting power. “Now use Brick Break!” Tightening his hands into fists, the Sawk summoned up the stronger Fighting strength and sent it crashing into the Skiddo. The latter yelped, stumbled, and fell. Grasping a Pokeball, Elise tossed it at the Skiddo!
The ball hit the grass and looked captured! For a moment! Before opening back up and spilling the red Skiddo out again. She huffed a bit and shook out her coat! Even if that had been a really strong attack, she wasn’t going down just yet! Elise’s eyes grew, and she looked to Bru’s face to see what he thought of this. The Sawk seemed just as hesitant but was more reserved in showing this emotion. Boxer the Hitmonchan gave a cry in response! Who he was rooting for was actually hard to tell, though.
The Skiddo released a Seed Bomb back! Bru winced as they hit but Endured it well enough. “Bulk up again!” Elise encouraged. Bru focused some and did just that. The next attack would hurt, and he was sure of it. The Skiddo did her best to block the next Brick Break with a Bulldoze, but the force of the Bulk Ups was enough to overpower her, and she hit the ground again. Elise grabbed another Pokeball and tossed it!
The Pokeball hit the ground and rocked a few times. It looked captured and then! In a flash, the Skiddo broke free and shook out her tired fur. Taking in a slow breath, she focused and shined green drawing strength from the sun to restore herself with a Synthesis. “She’s so strong…” Elise breathed in quiet awe.
Meanwhile, Bru flexed and stretched ready to do battle again. They clashed a bit harder than before, to the point that Boxer cheered harder than he would have normally. Elise checked on the Pokeball and found it broken. This Skiddo was really that determined, huh? That kind of determination would be great for moving forward!
Once the Skiddo was suficently weakened again, Elise grabbed another Pokeball and tossed it at her hoping this one would finally seal the deal!
It was her day off, and while Sonia wanted to get out of the house, she wasn't invested enough to go down one of the routes to train at the moment. Training was the last thing on her mind after doing another 12 hour shift at the Pokemon Center and then sleeping for who knows how long. Probably a good 10 hours, but Sonia just didn't have the energy for anything too strenuous.
So she had decided on a walk with one of her Pokemon to bond with them. And which one better than one of her newest captures? Brother seemed the most laid back of the two differently colored Eevee, and therefore less likely to run off. And where better than a place she had heard about and wanted to check out? The Community Garden was owned by someone, but they welcomed trainers into the garden to try and find homes for their many specially colored Pokemon.
Sonia was interested in seeing more Pokemon and figured it wouldn't hurt to check it out. If she could provide a good home for one of them, all the better! So she chatted away to the Eevee in her arms, talking aimlessly about all the plants and flowers in the area while keeping an eye out for any Pokemon nearby.
The long-awaited flap of wings, accompanied with a coo of warning had Jedah's interest piqued. To the right there was a small mass of black, though the shape was a familiar enough sight despite that the Pidgeotto was oddly colored. A bird was a bird was a bird, and he certainly wasn't going to complain, especially since this was what he'd set out to find. How fortuitous that it would show up so soon!
"Look at you." His tone was rich with admiration, the praise showing on his face as he regarded the jet-black bird. He had yet to have a Pidgeotto himself, though he knew that the egg in his pack was a Pidgey egg, and the prospect of two birds was one he was definitely all for.
Brutus looked over this smaller bird, and the bird looked right back. They regarded each other for a moment, and despite the clear difference in sizes the Pidgeotto didn't launch an attack straightaway, instead choosing to regard them warily from where it was perched. Brutus, in turn, didn't attack, though Jedah could see in small ways how the Corvisquire was ready to intercept anything that might threaten him or his master. It was unnecessary, especially since, after regarding the size of the Pidgeotto, Jedah dipped into the back he was carrying to nudge aside both gently thrumming eggs in search of the supplies he had stored within.
A brightly colored pink pokeball was revealed, and the Pidgeotto stared at it implacably. With a calming murmur, Jedah looked the Pidgeotto in the eye - and tossed the pokeball underhandedly, to minimize the blow of it against the pokemon in his attempt not to hurt it overmuch.

After what felt like forever, the duo of human and Alolan Vulpix had come across the place that had finally lured the adventurous explorer to Arciel in the first place. It always felt good to know that there were those among the rich who had care for the life around them. That such diverse and expressive life would carry on one way or another. Though to be gathering so many pokemon of rare colors in one place...
Alicia herself likely wouldn't have put the place together if she were in that person's position. It sounded like the kind of thing that screamed for a rotten crook of one type or another to attempt some thievery on unsuspecting souls. Irregardless of that feeling, though, the place existed and was protected on top of that. So she put her worries aside focused on the allure of what she might find. She could explore the region proper once she tried to find a partner for Reeshra and herself. A duo could go far, yes, but her's had already done so and it was about time to properly expand.
But what would she come across...? With a deep breath and a mental 'switch' she coated her view in the by now familiar energy of her Aura in the hopes of getting an early heads up in the event a Pokemon came to them or maybe even spotting something in hiding.

As it turned out, it would be for the latter use that her Sight would avail her. Tucked away in some underbrush and hidden from most prying eyes was a rather adorable Snom. With nary a sound on the wind, she would've definitely overlooked it without her advantage. As it was, some blue that was deeper then normal swirled a bit tighter on the edge of her vision, drawing her eye. Reeshra, too, was on top of the matter. She had sniffed out the caterpillar's scent and located it with an even easier time then Alicia had.
"Hmm..." She was thoughtful as she regarded the Snom. She wasn't entirely familiar with the Pokemon originally discovered in Galar, to be honest. And if she was being honest she would probably pass this one up. Only one catch possible with her current funds meant she had to be more picky then she'd like to be. Still, it was a good way to confirm if the place really did stock itself with unusually colored Pokemon.
So, she took slow, calculated steps and knelt down to brush some of the covering aside to get a look at the chill critter. The Snom in question squirmed and backed up in response, but she could see for herself that the talk was true. Even she was aware that Snom usually came in shades of white, so this dull red body and almost pink face was definitely out of the ordinary.
"Hey there..." Alicia called softly with a warm smile, content to just observe for a while. The caterpillar in turn didn't know what to make of this human that had basically barged in on it during meal time. For a few minutes both just stared at each other, until the Snom was convinced it wouldn't be bothered further and resumed eating. It was an adorable thing, she would admit readily. But if it was going to go to someone, it needed to go to a person who knew more and would give it better then she could. With her mind made up, she let the bug be and whistled softly for Reeshra.
Maybe she'd keep it in the back of her mind, though, and come back around one day to see if she could find another like it. For now, it was off to comb the gardens a bit more.

"Running" from this encounter and searching more. Though I was very tempted for more then a short time.

The next pokemon the duo had found was much more out in the opening, munching away as goats were want to do. This one she knew a bit better and if she was correct it was smaller then the usual for it’s species. The adorable little thing almost looked like it was taking a page of the book of the Deerling and Sawsbuck by going around with fall colors. And that definitely accentuated it more in a very nice way. And then the Skiddo noticed them and pranced up, taking a firm stance with some annoyance in it’s expression.
That caught Alicia by surprise and she took a step back from it, only for Reeshra to step in and interpose herself between the explorer and the goat. The fox growled at the goat about half her size in an attempt to intimidate it into stepping down. But the goat either didn’t realize the size difference or just didn’t care. It snorted and scraped the ground with its hoof, shaking its head as it prepared to fight off those it was perceiving as a threat to the territory it claimed.
For a moment, Alicia considered the merits of getting some combat experience in for Reeshra. As much as she didn’t particularly care for battling, she should give her friend some experience at some point. Reeshra had type advantage on the Skiddo. She also knew that the fox had some decent icepower up her non-existent sleeve in the Freeze-Dry move. But... at the same time the sheer confidence despite both the size and type mismatch made her worry that Reeshra would be biting off more then she could chew. She didn’t want to get her friend hurt by misjudging the match-up. That and she felt bad about picking a fight as the intruder in a place like this.
So that rendered her decision a straight forward one. And fortunately she decided quickly. The Skiddo was getting more irritable at their presence and was looking ready to force the issue. So she stepped forward again quickly and scooped Reeshra up into her arms. The fox yipped in surprise and looked back at Alicia.
“Live and let live, I think.” The explorer said to explain herself and carefully edged a circle around the little goat. The Skiddo, still adorable, watched her closely as she did until she had navigated around it. She took just a moment to wave good bye before making a break for it.
She wished she’d been able to possibly catch two pokemon on this trip. That Skiddo was adorable and she wanted it so badly but it wasn’t in the cards. She could still keep looking though but she was worried her feeling of needing to be picky was going to leave her empty handed.
