Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
Route 11, still arid, still... the same old, he guess? Everytime he looked at the area, he wondered if he have any Pokemon that he particularly wanted to recruit for his job... but at the same time, the den back home is getting more and more filled out, so filled out that it's kind of scary... Sure that means more training equipment but at the same time, he began to think whether he should expand, or go somewhere else so it's easier for the water type Pokemons that he has been building.
...Speaking of which, said water Pokemons are with him too. Elazul the Marshtomp and Ruri the Frogadier. Following them are Jasper the Arcanine, Durandal the Honedge, Randgris the Corvisquire, and finally the newly evolved Riku the Lucario. Agate's team composed of these six. With these six, hopefully he can reach the next town and route.
"Everyone, I'll be counting on you today. Riku, it's been a while since we're together, so... let's do our best, shall we?"
Riku barked in return. They began their journey with a brisk run. For Jasper, this is nothing but a walk, but for the rest, this is already fast, especially for the Marshtomp Elazul who's noticeably lagging... not like he'll stay lagging though. Ruri seem to enjoy being able to run like this... yeah, all is good, all is good~ Oh, he forgot, he should feed Durandal and Randgris rare candies just in case.

Having finished his errands at the outpost, Josh's eyes scanned his surroundings to the east - it was nothing but wide open wastes. While the Training Grounds at Birch were big, renting out a long enough stretch for a racing-bred Jolteon, of all Pokémon, to practice on, was going to be far too long of a wait for his tastes. The barrens were seemingly endless, flat, and wide open - there was no better place in all of Arciel for him to practice with the almost maddeningly fast electric-type.
He had come with an almost completely new team this time - leaving his two aces Saber and Aslan behind for now, he wanted to give the rest of his squad some time outside their Poké Balls, including one of his new catches - Ixion, a Ponyta easily the size of a Rapidash. He debated leaving the Ponyta unevolved, as when she grew to be a Rapidash, she would be so big that Josh wouldn't be able to mount and dismount unaided. He would have quite some time to think about that, though.
One nice thing about Ponyta is that tanners carried tack for almost all sizes of the Pokémon - they were the most ridden species in the world, coveted by newcomers and vetersns alike. She tried to cuddle Josh while the racer was attaching her new tack, her trainer unable to help but laugh at her affection. He made sure to secure the fire-type's reins properly so they wouldn't dangle around too much while she was running - Josh planning on training with Blinky this time. "Alright, Blinky, Ixion, let's race to that big rock out there!" He pointed to one waaayyyyy in the distance. "On three - one...two...three!"
The Ponyta's acceleration was almost instant, reaching her top speed in just a few strokes. Blinky, even with her claws fully extended, could not keep up with the Ponyta at first. She wouldn't stay behind for long, though - to Josh, her acceleration felt limitless, blowing past the Ponyta. A spark erupted from the Jolteon's paws every time they touched the ground, getting faster and faster until it sounded like a current of sparks ran among her four legs, dashing down the road.
Josh could barely spot a trainer alongside an Arcanine and Lucario - Agate was the only he knew with those two Pokémon. They were going to run him over if he didn't do something! He tugged on the Jolteon's reins, the electric blur quick to make a right turn, now running on the edge of the road. Josh didn't take it too well, letting out a scream as it felt like his right leg was going to pop from the force behind the high speed turn. As he was taught during his initial training to become a racer, "with great speed comes great responsibility." He hadn't thought of the true meaning of that until now.

Agate's little journey was started with incident already it seems. Someone goes too far on their huge Jolteon. The poor thing probably got too excited or something... And he know the one on the top. Welp, that just explains it. Got overexcited again aren't we? Agate patted the Arcanine's head. "Everyone, give me about... let's see... probably five minutes? Let's see if I can get him. You may return to your Pokeballs for the meantime"
Agate quickly wore a helmet just in case. He knew that it'll do jack when it comes to being thrown off an Arcanine, but more or less he's ready to catch up to Josh. "...I'll trust the speed to you, Jasper. Just remember that above this you still got me, alright?" the Arcanine barked in response. Now... as for this one...
"Agility..." Agate whispered, he moved his position so that he's practically laying flat against the Arcanine. He did not hold the reins, but instead hugging the Arcanine's massive neck instead. "...Extreme Spee--"
And Jasper practically BLASTED with speed! The acceleration was crazy fast, so fast that he saw nothing but blur on his surrounding. If there is a sonic boom following, he won't be surprised. Agate gritted his teeth and continue to latch on the Arcanine. Durandal wrapped his tassels around the Arcanine and the boy, attempting to be a safety belt. The only way to brake for the Arcanine is to JUMP. The road friction would hurt his paws, so the only way to kill the momentum is for him to jump! The moment the trio caught up to Josh, they pretty much already sailing so far. Agate still strongly hugging the Arcanine's neck... and the moment he jumped to kill the momentum, the boy know that the impact going to be hard.
"Flame Burst!" he ordered. Before Jasper could hit the ground, he blasted a flame at the ground, effectively slowing down his descent and made him safely landed on his feet. Whew...
"Remind me to get Aura Reinforcement one of these days," Agate muttered. "I think until we get Reinforcement I won't ride you that fast anymore, sorry Jasper."
The Arcanine barked understandably... as for Agate, how is he going? Well, wobbly... He just waved at Josh
Despite how fast Blinky was running, something even faster came up on Josh's left - something furry, big, and orange. Only one Pokémon fit that description: Arcanine. Their use on the circuit was mostly relegated to highly skilled racers, mostly due to courses not being designed for that kind of speed. Even the fastest of race cars couldn't keep up with an Arcanine in an Extreme Speed sprint. After blasting past the two, he thought he recognized a voice, but it was hard to tell with the dangerous apparent winds. His helmet and visor thankfully protected him from the worst of it. With a creative use of Flame Burst, the Arcanine was able to ride the thermals of its own attack to slow down without shredding its paws.
The Arcanine nearly a mile ahead of the two by the time, Blinky had plenty of room to just barely extend her claws, slowly decelerating and eventually stopping next to...Agate? Was Agate doing this to train himself to become a racer? Josh didn't know whether to be happy that his friend might be picking up his hobby or angry that he had done so without so much as a helmet on - any sort of accident at that speed would have resulted in serious, maybe even fatal injury! Josh simply waved back at the Arcanine he recognized as Jasper, as well as a very disoriented-looking Agate...not that he was any less dizzy himself. They were both atop Pokémon so fast that they were borderline impossible for a human rider to control.

That... what's that? Agate looked at the sides. He know that Josh just approached him with his huge Jolteon, but his eyes were on the billowing cloud of storms. Could it be...? Could it be that it's Zekrom? Here? Could it be that Zekrom came to check on the other region? Or is it perhaps Thundurus who knows for roaming Pokemon? Zapdos? Raikou? There are too many question of who it was, and the only way to find out is to ride and chase the storm.
"Josh, sorry, I know you just recovered, but ride with me," Agate requested. He really need to purchase a special made suit for high speed riding that lately has gained quite amount of acclaim that it could protect the rider's body. But there's no time. "Jasper, we're running to check that storm out there, you hear me?"
Jasper barked in affirmation. "Sorry for pushing you, I know that this will be dangerous, so... let's go!" Riku meanwhile gave a sign at Agate to activate his aura sight. "Ah, right, sorry about that, bro. Will do. Would you like to run or would you like to ride?" Agate asked. The Lucario shook his head as if saying there's no way he'll ride. But he won't run either so Agate returned him to the Pokeball.
The human and Arcanine immediately rode toward the storm. Chasing the storm has never been so literal. Agate have Durandal once again acts as his safety belt. Just as he thought that he could chase the storm as he pleased, suddenly from the other side, someone with motorcycle approaching. The engine roared, and looks like... this one is a trouble.
"What's this, a kid? Running so fast in my area... yo kid, if you want to pass you better pay!"
"I don't have that kind of money, and this is a route between towns!"
"So what are you implying? Payment is payment. 100p! If you're not paying... well, I guess I'll just going to force you!"
The Delinquent sent out an Arbok who was about to bite Jasper. However, Agate quickly countered by sending out Elazul.
"Elazul, Mud Slap!" Agate ordered. The attack might be double damage due to typing but it wasn't that strong... what he wanted to do is to decrease the accuracy of the Arbok who was ordered to use Acid Spray. It missed, and Agate immediately ordered another Mud Slap. The delinquent, noticing Agate's strategy too late, ordered for a Pile Up. However, at that point Agate ordered a Mud Shot, beating the Arbok and the delinquent.
The winning Elazul immediately evolved soon after to Swampert. Agate gave him a high five that he returned. As a treat, Agate gave him a smart salad. "Let's get back to the road!"

Josh took a look at the clouds above. They were dark...really dark. They billowed like the clouds carried atop the yellow mane of the Johto Beast he admired so much as a younger trainer. Frankly, he still did. His Secret Base was practically dedicated to the deific Pokémon. Though getting caught out in one wasn't very fun, he loved watching thunderstorms - especially big ones. "Blinky can keep up just--" Josh replied, but Agate looked insistent. "Gimme a minute or two." He let some of the dizziness wear off before dismounting Blinky and recalling her.
Once Josh climbed aboard Jasper, the boy exerting quite a bit of effort to climb atop the Arcanine that was quite a bit taller than he was, Josh noticed Durandal's tassel was wrapped around Agate's waist...almost like a harness. "...That's clever. I should teach Yagyu how to do that." Shortly after his battle with the biker, he caught a glimpse of a couple of yellow Pokémon, smiling when he saw the Electrike. The other one he didn't recognize, but it appeared to be a bug-type...maybe? "I can handle faster if you want, Agate. Just don't push yourself too much," he reiterated, watching the terrain fly by from atop the orange and black striped hound.

A Poké Ball with a 50% chance of capturing a wild Pokémon. For every post you have already failed to capture the Pokemon, the capture rate goes up 10%, to a maximum of 90%.
By riding with him, he meant that he wanted him to ride with him to the same direction, even if it's not necessarily together on Jasper, but he guess he need to word them better next time. Oh well. Have Josh rode an Arcanine before, he wonder? Jasper being this fast made it easy for them to progress through their journey. Midway, Josh told Agate it's fine to be faster...
"Hear that, Jasper? Go on!"
The Arcanine barked and began to accelerate. Man if this is a car his speed is around a hundred and fifty kilometers per hour it felt! Agate thankfully is wearing a helmet, so his ears does not feel odd from the wind blowing and his vision is protected from any dust that Jasper kicks off... but then he saw someone approaching... drats. He pressed both of his heels to Jasper's sides to make him slow down.
Another delinquent.
"What do you want?" Agate asked.
"Battle, of course," the delinquent answered. Immediately after she sent out a Raticate! ...The Alolan variant? Riku immediately goes to the front, crackling his fists and rotating his arms.
"Riku, don't force yourself too much, alright?" the Lucario barked, as if saying "who are you talking to? I'll be fine."
...Only then that Agate remembered that Riku got double advantage against the Pokemon. The moment an order was issued, the Lucario did not waste time and BLASTED the Raticate with a super effective Aura Sphere. It... was a complete one shot hit. Riku grinned and walked back to Agate.
"Ouch..." he muttered, wincing.
The second to come is a Passimian. Agate jumped down from Riku and pulled Durandal, who seemed to be eager to fight.
"Let's do this, Durandal!"
The sword immediately wrapped his tassel around Agate's arm to create arm reinforcement. The delinquent looked baffled, but regardless she issued an order... Beatdown. A Cacnea appeared to also attack Durandal, but on the last moment, Agate dodged (with boost of Durandal's own pull). Immediately, they attacked with Aerial Ace, dealing damage against the Passimian. The delinquent ordered another Beatdown, but this time Agate is faster, executing another Aerial Ace that knocked out the Passimian.
Finally, the last one to appear was a Cacnea. Agate requested Josh to climb down, and sent out Jasper against the cactus Pokemon. Agate ordered Jasper to use Agility immediately, dodging a narrow Needle Arm. He immediately ordered for a Flame Wheel--which unfortunately did not knock out the Cacnea. ...It was a bad choice, as suddenly the Cacnea used Payback, its power doubled from moving last. Agate watched in horror as Jasper sailed quite far. Thankfully he managed to shook it off, and once again attacked with a super effective Flame Burst, winning Agate the match. Whew.
"...You OK, Jasper?" Agate asked, patting the Arcanine. The Arcanine barked happily. Looks like all is fine... He won that match but man... that Payback was nasty... Riku gained 1 level Durandal gained 1 level Jasper gained 1 level From EXP share, Randgris gains 3 levels.

Jasper's gait was a bit bouncier than any of his Pokémon - even Aslan's, but he quickly got used to it as the two made their way across. After issuing the okay to go faster, he buried his hands in the Arcanine's deep fur and flipped his helmet's visor down, the force of powerful acceleration pushing back on him. It didn't last too long, thankfully - Jasper was already on par with Saber's Quick Attack chains, and with such little effort, too! The only problem, of course, was control - the faster a Pokémon got, the harder it was to turn, and the harder it was on the rider to turn, as well. Admittedly, Arcanine were the fastest commonly-domesticated Pokémon for straight-line running, making them ideal for travel through areas like expansive flats.
Josh inadvertently leaned into Agate as the Arcanine slowed for a defiant-looking trainer. "I thought you were chasing that storm, Agate - go around her!" Josh begged. Too late - they were already in battle. When asked, he dismounted the Arcanine, ready to heal Jasper if need be. There was no sense in riding a wounded Pokémon unless absolutely necessary. While looking through his medical supplies, he found the two Timer Balls he had misplaced the other day...at the bottom of the wrong pocket of his bag. He put them in their proper place, watching Jasper finish up the battle. "He okay? That looked like a nasty hit!" the concerned trainer asked. "If Jasper needs a break, I have my own team that's almost as fast!"

Agate checked Jasper again just to be sure, rubbing gently where he was impacted. The Arcanine doesn't look all that affected albeit he did wince a bit. "Hmmm, if I can say I don't like this..." Agate commented "but I trust Jasper. What do you say, boy? Do you need any break?"
Jasper shook his head, and seem adamant to let the two trainers to ride him again. "...Well al---" before he could finish his words, suddenly he heard growls as two Litleos, one really big for its size and... A Pyroar. That's interesting. Agate doesn't think that he can flee this one though... Crap.
"...Ruri, Elazul, you're up." Once again he called Elazul, and this time he's accompanied by Ruri the Frogadier. The bigger Litleo roared at the two member of his entourage... Looks like he's the Alpha, but why so young? Could it be that he's a prodigy? Sadness that he can't really capture that boss with his Pokeball, otherwise he would do it...
Elazul was the first to attack, being the higher in level than the two. He attacked with a Mud Shot at the Pyroar, who was close hitting at him with a Hyper Beam. Ruri meanwhile circled the Litleo and attacked with a Water Pulse! The Litleo... somehow looked extra motivated on fighting against Ruri! That was odd... until Agate noticed that perhaps this one have Rivalry for ability--!
"Ruri---!"
Too late. The Litleo suddenly LAUNCHED herself at Ruri, dealing extra damage and taking Recoil in return. Ruri coughed up some water, spluttering as the attack hit her squarely. Agate quickly tossed an Great Ball at it, knowing it has damaged enough.
"Ruri, rest up a bit! Here, Oran Berry..."
Agate gave Ruri Oran Berry. Meanwhile, the fight between Elazul and the Pyroar is still ongoing. Elazul was sent skidding backward as a Hyper Beam just hit him squarely on the chest. The Swampert shook his head to clear the daze from such a strong attack... That one definitely lowered his health from "Full" to "Warning" zone... But now he have the chance to once again use Mud Shot on the Pyroar. Agate tossed Ultra Ball on this one.
...And all that left was the boss. Well crapperino. Ruri stood back up, having healed up enough.
"You sure you'll be fine?" Agate asked. She gave him a thumbs up, and put on her battle stance. The Litleo acknowledged her challenge and dashed forward! He was about to use Take Down like the other one! Ruri was more than ready this time, jumping up high, and tossed the bubbles around her neck to create diversion, Smoke Screen. The Litleo once again attempted a Take Down, which hits! But Ruri was more than ready. She used Water Pulse at point blank range. Blasting the Litleo away. Ruri breathes heavily. The boss' Takedown is strong... perhaps this is the strength of boss Pokemon... But she won't lose.
The boss once again attempted another Take Down! Ruri, noticing that he probably only used Take Down because he doesn't have non-fire moves immediately dodged to the side, and fired another Water Pulse! ...To her surprise, the Water Pulse did not bring him down... The Frogadier chuckled nervously.
..That was a strong Litleo.
This time around, noticing that he cannot win with just Take Down, he decided to use Fire Fang and stabbing it at Ruri! The Frogadier managed to dodge once more, barely. She could feel her skin singed by the flame... That was just how strong. The Frogadier once again attacked with Water Pulse-- and this time a Jackpot happened! The Litleo is confused! It hurts itself in its confusion!
That was all Ruri needed to finish the battle with a super effective Water Pulse. Four Water Pulse was what it needed to bring the Litleo down... that was ridiculous. The Frogadier breathes heavily, but noticing that she won now, she raised a thumb up at Agate. "...You did really well, Ruri, Elazul."
But they still have no idea how does the two other Pokemon that got captured doing... (EXP from the fight and the status will be updated after the catch result is known) Ultra Ball at Pyroar, and Great Ball at Litleo! Oran Berry used on Ruri (don't need to send Agate one from the boss fight win)
To be able to keep running with two people on his back after suffering such a strong blow...that was one tough Arcanine. Certainly not one Josh would want to have to battle against. Just as the two were about to climb up, Josh heard a familiar-founding roar - a pride of Litleo and Pyroar had Agate surrounded! The racer thankfully was able to get away while they were focused on his friend. Knowing Agate, he wouldn't want Josh to interfere in his battle anyway.
Speaking of battles, the pride of fire-types wasn't the only threat - a diminutive-looking Minun wandered directly at Josh, sparks flying out of its blue cheeks. The wild was so small it could have fit in Josh's open hand! It was getting a bit too close for comfort, Josh reacting by sending out Nitro as a defender. The Skiddo ran one of his front paws through the dirt repeatedly, communicating to the Minun, < Back off or I'll charge! > The wild broke out in a song that sounded like squealing, but its hypnotic, soothing melody was enough to send Nitro to dream-land.
Thankfully Josh was on the ground instead of in the saddle, and thus was able to promptly spray a vial of Awakening over his partner and cut the nap short. By the time he was done, the playful Minun was swinging from one Nitro's horns, gently nuzzling its base and leaving Nitro with a strong tingling sensation all over his body and some very stiff legs. The way the electric-type fought took "grabbing it by the horns" quite literally, riding the Skiddo's horn like a rodeo Tauros and keeping the two within a Spark sphere. The tiny Pokémon stayed on for well past eight seconds before Nitro's legs cooperated enough to fling the Minun off, Josh's partner promptly trampling over it with his hard hooves.
One fall wasn't enough to discourage the tiny, blue mouse though - while Nitro was trying to shake loose tension in its legs, it jumped right back on his horn again, again clinging on for dear life while projecting a Spark sphere around the two! Brought to the brink of fainting, an adrenaline surge gave Nitro the strength to buck something fierce, sending the Minun off his horn and flying far away. While a vial of Paralyze Heal would take care of the stiffness, those electrical burns would need time more than anything to heal. Josh withdrew Nitro and hoped Agate would be able to handle the pride on his own.
Nitro's level is now 28! <EXP. Share> Blinky's level is now 24!

As you continue on down your journey, you come across a strange sight. A small gathering is in a clearing, and a Meowstic appears to be talking to a group of Arcellian Growlithe. It's hard to tell what was being said before they notice you. Note: unless you are just battling them, you must mod call to interact with them.
Elazul the Swampert gained 2 levels! Lv38! Ruri the Frogadier gained 5 levels! lv34! Through Exp Share, Randgris gained 3 levels! Lv 34! That was intense... but even so, looks like their journey can continue. Agate breathed in relief as he managed to catch the Pyroar. "...This one, I guess her name will be Sarafina." And with that he sent the Pyroar to the PC. It might takes a bit for her to warms up to him, but that's fine in itself... Meanwhile, Josh seem to be in trouble... That Minun, despite Nitro the Skiddo's typing advantage still hurts him... Dang, talk about a hard time.
Once the two has recovered, Agate approached Nitro and Josh, offering an Oran Berry. "Here, use it for Nitro. I don't know how much it will heal, but I hope it will heal enough. I think they're more or less as good as a potion. I can just plant some in my farm at later date if I need more. For now, his health is more important. I did said that I'll return the favor right?" he grinned.
Now... what he did not expect though was... a swarm of Growlithe made of shrubbery and stone! And on top of it there is a Meowstic! Interesting...
"...Wait, let's ask these ones... maybe the Meowstic could talk with us through Telepathy... although I don't think they could... Jasper, how about you talk with your... errr... Arcielan Variant?"
The Arcanine barked. He slowly approached the group with nonhostile gait, to make sure they know that he doesn't want to do any funny business. He then barked at them, asking what they're doing and if they're here because of the storm. Josh smiled when he saw Agate make the catch. "You'll have to take her down to the cave some time - I'm sure she and Aslan would enjoy some quality time together!" That, and show Aslan some hunting tips - the females were better at battle than the males because they typically did most of the hunting for their pride. He couldn't build his team just for races, especially with the crisis at hand. He was still a Pokémon trainer, and as such, his civic duty was to be on the front lines against the Ultra Beasts.
Nitro gladly gobbled up the Oran Berry, though it had little effect on such an advanced Pokémon; the Skiddo was on the cusp of evolution, after all! "Thanks. I'll need to treat these wounds when we make camp, though - we're not making it to Hickory today. We started far too late...plus there's the storm. Once you've chased the storm to your heart's content, I would say we should try to find some place at least partially sheltered so we can set up camp." He looked all around, seeing nothing but a road surrounded by featureless arid flats. "That's gonna be a lot easier said than done."
As Agate instructed Jasper to talk with the wilds, Josh whispered, "Not gonna lie - I want to catch one of those Growlithe. I don't have a stout, heavy hitter on my team yet. But for now, sure." He released Twilight to act as his representative during the conversation, recalling his Skiddo. There would be time to look at his wounds later.

As the humans instruct their Pokemon forward, the Meowstic looks down to address them. The other Growlithe sift around and seem reasonably calm as their sibling of fire approached followed by a Skiddo. One of the Arcellian Growlithe looks back to the Meowstic again. <Do you think we should ask for help?> she asks with a pang of something hard to read. A few of the others let out a low murmur back, all vaguely uncertain on the matter.
The Meowstic hesitates before nodding and hopping down from his perch to come up to the trainers' Pokemon. His eyes are bright, but he appears much older than he did from afar. <Young travelers> he addresses with formality that would resonate in his Pokemon tone even to human ears. <Have you happened to come across an Arcanine by chance? She is this pack's leader, and we are quite concerned over where she could have gone...> He makes a sweeping gesture to the other Growlithe present.
Jasper immediately snapped to attention the moment the bunch of Pokemon seem to keen to ask for help. He barked at Riku to call the Lucario's attention. Could these Pokemons are very young? This doesn't sit well with him. The Lucario nodded at the Arcanine and looked at the humans, and began gesturing.
"...So you think we might have to stop chasing the storm?" Agate asked, trying to interpret the Lucario's action. He nodded, then signed some more. "...You might think that these Growlithes are very young, and in need for help... is it?" another nod. Is that so... Agate did not even spare a second to approach the Growlithe, and in turn the Meowstic. The psychic Pokemon's words echoes inside his head... whoa, funky... So that's what they sounded like.
"No, we haven't seen any Arcanine of your kind... just... Jasper I guess. But if you guys need help, I'll be helping you guys. Is she happened to be your mother? Do you have any items that perhaps could lead us to her or any clues? Anything will help, and we'll definitely try to help you all."
Both Riku and Jasper seem to be happy to hear that their trainer will be helping. Josh might would get a bit sad considering that storm reminds him of Raikou, but... as for him, he felt it's only apt that they stop and try to help the locale, even if it's Pokemons. The storm could wait... He'll tend on these small ones first.
"Oh, um, if it helps some, I'm actually an Aura User. I can't track aura like some can, but I can see aura. Riku too." Josh intently listened to Agate's and Riku's conversation with the wild Pokémon, though he could only hear his friend's half of the conversation. He was rather startled with the Meowstic interacted with both of them in the human tongue...though that wasn't completely unexpected. Psychic-types were known for communicating directly with the minds of their trainers, and this was one powerful psychic-type species. Not one to say no to a party in genuine need, Josh nodded in agreement to Agate's proposal.
"I, for one, am okay with helping out," Josh responded to both of them, though his eyes occasionally shifted toward the billowing storm clouds in the not-so-distance. As much as he would have loved to have a Growlithe like this, especially one indigenous to Arciel, there were other Rock-types that could wear a saddle well and still be heavy hitters for his team. Worst case scenario, he could get one the sure-fire way he knew how to get any rare Pokémon - by throwing enough money at a breeder. Josh turned his attention back to the Meowstic. "While I don't have Aura powers like Agate, I have a lot of really fast Pokémon that can cover a ton of ground. If this Arcanine is nearby still, my Pokémon should be able to find her quickly."
