Makoto had been about to head back down Route 9 - heading back to Fuji Town - when they'd be stopped at the Cork Town gate; a man needing a letter to be delivered to a traveling trainer, just on ahead. Since they were heading that way anyways, they were more than willing to take up the job - especially given that it'd be some easy pen - although....
... So as to help with the job, they had also been given a bicycle. Makoto, honestly, was pretty sure they still lived back in Ecruteak when they had last ridden a bike; and though they could remember all the basics to riding one and whatnot, it was still taking a bit for them to re-adjust. Kuro, meanwhile, would be hanging out in a basket on the front of the bike; curled up, and watching closely as Makoto carefully seated themselves on the bike. "Well... Let's give this a shot, darling!"
Once they were properly seated and ready, Makoto would begin to pedal; moving forward on the road. Hopefully, the beaten path would be clear enough for a smooth ride! v39jZPiZp_ 52/200 Points 1/5 Posts

As you cycle on by, you find the area rather nice and pleasant to look at. The end of spring and early summer was turning everything a kind of crisp green. There did appear to be some broken limbs in a tree up ahead and a few that had finally snapped and landed on the ground. Huh, what could have been weighty enough to have broken them? Ah well, you can get around them ok.
So far so good; Makoto would be unable to help a pleasant smile as they cycled along, admiring the scenery that they passed by. The orchards were in beautiful shades of green, and the day in-of-itself was beautiful as well - even if a hair warm. Even Kuro was happy to admire his surroundings, from the basket he was curled up in; ears twitching a little in listening to the sounds of the foliage rustling in the wind, and the distant cries of pokemon.
As they rode along though, Makoto would pass by a tree which seemed to have been a bit beaten up - paired with a few of its limbs laying across the road. It was easy to swerve around the branches, though the question of what had happened was certainly strong in their mind. Kuro would grow a bit unwary at this, as well; briefly glancing around and sniffing the air, but...
.... Without anything to go off of, the only thing they could do was continue on, Makoto supposed; gently patting Kuro on the head to reassure him as they continued biking along. LCp_0X4ap_ 63/200 Points 2/5 Posts
You find what may have broken the trees and things... a massive sleeping Snorlax is in the middle of the road with a slew of berries and other foods about it. Food coma from the looks of it. You might be very careful not to wake this particularly massive specimen up, though!

Even as Makoto passed by the branches and beaten up tree, Kuro couldn't help but dwell a little on what might've caused it - surely, something big had to have crashed into that tree or something, right?
Well, it didn't seem to be all that far from the truth. As Makoto cycled along, they'd soon find a massive boulder in the middle of the road - food scattered all around it - prompting them to come to a stop, to try and figure out just what in the world all of this was about. It would be when the duo noticed that the boulder was breathing, though, that Makoto would soon come to the realization...
... That this was a massive and sleepy Snorlax. Kuro, in noticing this, couldn't help a slight startled whine; promptly turning himself into a rock, out of habit! Even Makoto couldn't help balking just a little; such a massive pokemon waking up could spell trouble, after all... "... Okay, Kuro; let's just pass this by niiiice and quietly..."
Carefully and slowly, Makoto would attempt to swerve their way around the Snorlax; trying to avoid rolling over anything that could potentially make a sound. Kuro, meanwhile, would attempt to use his illusions to muffle - if not completely quiet - any sounds that the bike might make; though given that he was still a young Zorua, how well that might go was anyone's guess. r|tvSC92p_ 86/200 Points 3/5 Posts

You manage to get around the Snorlax without waking it up! Onwards then! You cycle on for a while and notice a few bird Pokemon flying overhead. They caw in greeting to you before flying on a bitt faster. Ahh, nature can be so nice sometimes, can't it? Still, as you come to a cross roads, you have to make a decision on which way to go: left or right?
Slowly but carefully and surely, Makoto would be able to make their way around the Snorlax - the massive pokemon not even stirring, quite thankfully. Not keen on testing their luck any further though, Makoto would keep moving; only waiting until they were sure the Snorlax was out of earshot for them and Kuro both to relax with a pair of heavy sighs. "That was a close one..." They'd murmur - to which Kuro softly yipped in agreement, yawning a bit anxiously. He'd soon relax with a scratch behind the ears, though; settling down as Makoto continued to cycle onward.
With the Snorlax in the past though, the ride was once more a pleasant one; Makoto waving to some bird pokemon who would caw in greeting, before flying by overhead. Not long after though, would come a crossroads - a fork in the road, either pathway going left and right respectively. Briefly, Makoto would stop in place - wondering which way to go - but... "... What do you think, Kuro darling? Which way should we go?"
Kuro, in response, would leap down from the basket - taking the time to sniff the air, and to check what scents on the road went which ways. There were a mix of scents, both pokemon and humans of varying freshness - though the freshest human scent that he could pick up was... That way! Indicating the right road, Kuro would briefly yowl to Makoto and point with his paw - to which the trainer nodded in understanding, smiling. "Alright; let's go right, then." They'd respond - pulling a soft caramel out of the handbag, as a treat for Kuro. "Atta boy, dear."
Once the Zorua was back in the basket and happily munching on his caramel, Makoto would head down the right path; hoping that this was the right way. 3nmb2j82p_ 182/200 Points 4/5 Posts

Makoto had been biking for awhile by now; the noon sun hanging above them, the day getting warmer by the minute. Hopefully, they'd find their recipient trainer soon; it'd be a pain in the rear to have to bike to Fuji in hot weather, after all. Before long though, Kuro would perk up; yipping and gesturing with his paw, as he saw someone off in the distance...!
At hearing this, Makoto would perk up as well; glancing in the indicated direction. A way's up ahead, they could see someone walking down the road - perhaps a trainer? The notion would make their eyes light up a bit; eager to get this letter delivered, and to finish this job. "Good eye, darling." They'd praise Kuro - ruffling his fur, as they'd pick up the pace to catch up to this mysterious someone!
"Daaaaarling~!" Makoto would call to the individual with a wide wave of their arm as they got closer, so as to get the individual's attention. "Might I talk to you for a second, about a letter I'm trying to deliver?" As they neared the person, Makoto would dig out the letter in question - hoping that this was, indeed, the trainer they were looking for...! EqqTPon|p_ 233/200 Points 5/5 Posts
