Bass City Gym
Introduction
The Bass City Gym is devoted to the Water-type. The Gym Leader, Hiroto Kaimana, has a PhD in Oceanography, specifically Ocean Ecology. Many of the walls of the gym are built into large aquariums, and occasionally the Gym is opened to the public or scheduled tours to learn about the different kinds of fish and marine life on display.
Requirements
In order to challenge this gym:
Pre-Gym Trial
Before you can challenge gyms in Arciel, you must pass a small trial. Hiro's trial consists of a long, wide, shallow pool stretching across the front room of the gym. Many supplies are provided on the starting side, such as floating disk "shoes", bamboo poles, a tarp, some logs, and more.
Your goal is to get from one side of the pool to the other without touching the water. You can use help from your Pokemon, but cannot simply ride your Pokemon.
Describe what method you will be taking and roll a die, then mod summon. A mod will tell you how far you got and if you fell. If you fall in, you simply have to go back to the start and try again. You cannot fail this trial unless you give up!
There's even a time limit (7 of your posts), and if you haven't crossed it by the time time is up, you still pass for being persistent! Perseverance is what Hiro's Gym aims to teach.
The Battlefield
Hiro's battlefield is a large pool with raised land platforms scattered throughout. This gives water-types good cover and means large, bulky Pokemon may have trouble moving between platforms. Choose your team carefully!
The platforms are not so far apart that they cannot be easily jumped, but are also inconsistent, with more space between some than others to provide larger areas of water here and there.
Pokemon
Note: Pokemon will be evolved to suit the challenger's level; only base forms are shown here.
