Age 14 Birthday August 15th, 2006 Gender Female Pronouns She/Her/Hers Orientation Straight Faction Citizen Class Trainer Rank New Trainer Occupation N/A (Only 13, so she's just a Trainer) Hometown Castellia City, Unova Current Residence Travelling | The video chat is blackened at first, but the interviewer can hear someone messing around with some sort of tech in the background. It was obviously annoying and distracting, but seeing as the person was grunting and scoffing at how difficult the contraption was to operate, it seemed like making a complaint about it wasn’t exactly the best option. Instead, perhaps a silent approach would be for the best. Eventually, the person, who seemed to be a young teen girl, wiped a hand over her forehead and began speaking as if apologizing profusely. What she that now she couldn’t be heard. The silence from the interviewer made her realize that she wasn’t heard and was visibly frustrated as she tried to mess around with the volume now. “Urgh, where is that…? Oh! Heh! Can you hear me now?” It’s not certain what, but the interviewer must’ve given a nod or a smile or some sort of indication because Charlotte was satisfied enough to stop messing around with her camera. Thank Arceus… This was gonna be a long one, wasn’t it? One could hear the stacking of papers from the side of the interviewer, getting situated for the first question. Honestly, he hoped this wouldn’t be a common thing among the people he would interview upon entering the Arciel borders, but they were sure only doing this once wasn’t going to be a big deal. The interviewer opened their mouth to begin the interview: Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself? Charlotte immediately smiled at the first question, tilting her head slightly as she blushed. “Oh, you know…” she giggled. “I’m just your run of the mill teen from Castellia City, Unova.” She giggled a bit. “It’s a pretty big city, and can be a bit intimidating to some. People don’t really like being buried by all the people running one hundred miles an hour, but you kind of get used to it. It’s boring, it’s lonely, but you get used to it.” Charlotte shrugged a bit before eyeing the interviewer a bit, still holding that pure little smile. “I heard Arciel has, like, all the Pokemon from all the regions, is that true? I mean, not that it’s, heh, the only reason I’m coming here but there’s a lot of Pokemon here, right?” Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? “Well, to be honest, I’m not sure what I want to do with my life yet…” Charlotte answered honestly. “I know being a Trainer may be hard, and maybe I’m not cracked up for battling but… I don’t know anyone who owns a Pokemon who hasn’t battled at one point or another, so I’d figure that’s where I start. Whether they’re a Trainer, Coordinator, or even a Chef, I’m sure they’ve battled with their Pokemon at some point, and I don’t want to be left out!” Charlotte puffed her chest out a bit, confident with her answer before her head perked up and she slouched a bit in embarrassment. “But what I really wanna do is meet all of the Pokemon that exist in the world.” Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? A moment of silence over took Charlotte’s side of the interview before she coughed into a folded up hand before smiling nervously at the interviewer. “W-well, I thought it would be interested to see a region that doesn’t really get talked about that much! You know, people seem to love the Kanto and Johto and all the others, but where’s the love for Arciel? Huh? Why doesn’t it get any love? When is someone gonna stand up and say, ‘Arciel has rights too, dang it!’?! We should all form around our fellow regions, and cry out in favor of all regions, so that at long last, we are all treated-” “It’s because we have a lot of Pokemon here, isn’t it?” the interviewer finally asked, not at all buying this load of crap that Charlotte was spewing. Charlotte let in a gulp, glancing around her room before coughing into her fist again and settling in her seat. “Well… Yes.” “That’s all I needed to know. Next question!” What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. Charlotte shuffled her hands together again. “Ah, well, like I said, there’s not really all that much to me, really. I-I don’t even really know myself all that well, so how is anyone supposed to understand me?” Something about the awkward silence that lead after that proved to Charlotte that the interviewer was far from satisfied. She sighed. “Okay, okay, I’ll try to think of something… Hm… I guess I can be pretty patient. I mean, I wanted to go off on my journey at ten, but then Dad went away, so I decided to stay a bit longer to help take care of Mom and my baby brother… so there’s that.” Charlotte had to think a bit more before continuing. “I mean, I guess despite not knowing myself very well, I can’t say I’m dissatisfied or unhappy. I… guess I’ve always tried to make the best of my circumstances, whether they be good or bad. Being happy is always a good thing, I suppose.” Charlotte shrugged hoping this would satisfy the Interviewer. It seemed to be good enough. What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! “Well, I can be a complete brainless fart sometimes, not gonna lie.” Seemed like she was able to get right into this one, though she more or less was laughing at herself more than anything. “I have a hard time reading a room, and I laugh a lot which is good, but it’s not always appropriate to laugh. I seem to… irritate people without really noticing, and even though people have told me this countless times -and I’ve tried to change, really I have- I just can’t seem to read a room no matter how hard I try.” Even this seemed to take some thought, though. “I can be a doormat, and extremely selfish at the same time. I don’t mean to, obviously, but I can often times let people walk all over me at times when it’s not that big of a deal in retrospect. This caused me to turn down helping people in the past because I thought they’d try to walk all over me again, but it turned out to be times when they really needed it. It would always make me feel sick, but in order to keep myself happy, I would just sort of… forget about it. I… really should apologize to those people… eh, maybe when I visit home at some point. “Also, I get the sinking suspicion that I can be a little too much, state my opinions as fact, and disregard anyone who disagrees.” Charlotte paused and looked at the interviewer straight in the eye. “Hey, you said to be honest.” What was your childhood like? How was school? “Oh, I mean, I’m only thirteen, so I’m still a kid.” she giggled. “But it’s been a blast so far! I mean… I haven’t really traveled all that much outside of Unova, and even then nothing outside of seeing family, or going to nearby towns and cities, but even so, the Pokemon in Unova have always kept me in a bright spirit! My little bro helped quite a bit too. (I can’t believe he’s three already, what the heck!) My Dad went away when I was ten, and I still don’t understand why. Mom said she would explain it to me when I was older, but that I wouldn’t be able to see him anymore. “Before that, though, things were fun! My Mom and Dad both loved me and my little brother immensely, and there was never a fight in our home! None that I remember anyway… As for school, well… I did okay at school, and I had some friends, but… You think I’m annoying? Cause people say I’m annoying. And I know I’m a lot of things, but I don’t think I’m annoying, so be honest, am I annoying?” How is your relationship with your family? “Oh, I love my Mom!” Charlotte said with a smile. The interviewer was not at all surprised by that response. Charlotte seemed to be almost too much sunshine and happiness, even while she was saying bad things about herself. “My Mom is the best! She’s super loyal, and super supportive of everything I do! Even while she knew they needed my help, she tried to encourage me to follow my dream. She would take care of my baby brother, it would be fine. “As for my baby bro,” she continued. “He can be a brat sometimes, but he’s only three, so that’s to be expected. He’s really the sweetest little guy on the face of the planet in reality. He seems to have this weird sense when people are sad. I mean, I have these weird… emotion waves sometimes, but somehow I don’t think it’s the same thing.” The interviewer tilted their head a bit. Perhaps she’s referring to aura, or a psychic ability? Whatever the case, it hardly mattered to the question at hand, so he let it slide. “Anyway, when he could tell I was sad, he’d always try to do something sweet to cheer me up. I love him so much!” “As for my Dad…” Charlotte paused for a moment before continuing. “I… don’t like that he’s not around anymore, and I don’t know why he’s not here, but I still love him very much. He said he’d always love me no matter what, and I feel it’s only right to do the same.” What do you like to do for fun? “Oh, I like doing lots of things!” she giggled. “I like climbing trees, talking, playing with my little brother, skipping stones on the water, talking to the Pokemon, and sometimes, when I feel inspired, sometimes I’ll look at the colors people have around them. I can only see it when my eyes are closed, and I can’t see it all that well, and often times I can only see a little color, and only from people who are a few feet away, but it’s still really pretty, and I like it!” Yep. Definitely aura. Doesn’t seem to be a very strong aura user, but it seems like she’s still one. How does she not know what that is? “My favorite is to look at the colors of the Pokemon,” she continued. “You know, the ones that don’t run away when I approach them.” Judging by this girl’s mannerisms, she probably did more than just “approach” them. But, regardless, it was time for the next question. What are your feelings on romance? “Romance?” This… seemed to take a lot of thoughts from the girl, which was strange. Most girls at her age were fawning over crushes, if they hadn’t already had some. “Hm… I guess boys can be pretty cute.” she admitted. “But I never really cared much for that sort of thing. I mean, I like watching romances take place as much as the next girl, especially if they’re cute, but I’m not sure if I want that for myself. At least, not yet. I’m only thirteen after all. All of that romance seems like too much drama for me anyway, and I doubt guys really think I’m that cute anyway.” ...Yeah, they were moving on. What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. “Well…” She paused a bit. “I wanna meet all the Pokemon, like I said before, but I also want to travel and see the world. Unova is nice, but I wanna see more of what the world has to offer. I… don’t really know what I wanna do with my life, but I guess figuring that out is half the battle. Isn’t that what this journey’s for? Again, I’m only thirteen.” ...Fair enough. If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? “Ooo! Ooo! I’d be a flying type!” Charlotte spoke out in eagerness. “I’d be able to fly anywhere I want, and see everything from a bird’s eye view! I’d soar as high as possible and let the wind carry me where it may! Oh, it excites me just thinking about it. If there was a specific Pokemon I’d want to be, it would be a Swanna! It’s so elegant, and it can fly! Did I mention I wanna fly?” The interviewer roll their eyes as they continued. What do Pokemon mean to you? “Oh, Pokemon are just the best!” Charlotte cheered. “They’re, like, everyone’s best friend, there’s so much mystery to them, and-and there’s just so many out there! So many different kinds, I can’t even name them all! Maybe we haven’t even seen all of them yet. Pokemon seem to be such a mundane thing in our lives, they’re just there, but when I close my eyes and see their colors… I often find that the color of Pokemon can be more intricate and interesting than humans sometimes. Even the wild Pokemon. That’s gotta mean something, right? I don’t know, Pokemon have always fascinated me.” It seemed like Charlotte was starting to get a little eager. She looked like if this interview didn’t start soon, she might explode. Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? “Thank you for taking the time to interview me. Can I go now?” The interviewer was silent, but once again Charlotte managed to get the idea that the interview was over and smiled. “Thanks lots! Can’t wait to start this journey, and thanks so much again! Hope to see you again some day!” And with that, the video chat was disconnected. The interviewer leaned back against their chair and let out a deep sigh. Well, it certainly wasn’t as bad as they thought it would be, but it was still a whirlwind of an interview… Welp. On to the next one... |
Appearance
Height 4'08" / 142cm Build Skinny, but otherwise average. Hair Color Brown Eye Color Maroon | Charlotte is a little shorter than your average 13 year old, standing at 4'8'' and weighing 95 lbs. She has maroon colored eyes, long brown hair that reaches down past her shoulders, and her skin is a pale white. She's little, and appears rather frail, but one thing that seems to beg to differ in that regard is that huge grin she seems to always carry on her face. Even if that smile is off, you can always guarantee that those maroon eyes of hers will always be round, wide, and full of curiosity. Her hair is normally worn down with a half back pony tail at the top of her hair. Her clothes tend to be casual for the most part, jeans, shorts, a nice top, nothing too fancy, but nothing too casual either. She's not above wearing a dress or a skirt on special occasions, she just knows what works well when traveling. She's also rather open to the shoes she wears, though her go to traveling shoes are always boots. It doesn't matter the size as long as they fit the occasion, and when one is on the road, boots always fit the occasion. As for make up, she doesn't really wear any. She never really needed to, and even if she did, she probably wouldn't anyway, outside of special occasions. It's just not something that ever really grabbed her attention much, is all. Aura A bright maroon color. It's nothing too complicated, but boy can it be bright! Be careful, Aura Users, it may give headaches. |
