Out of all the swarms this month, this strange 'Toxel' was the one Jazz was most excited about. They looked really neat after all and with Marshmallow with him, Jazz was confident that he would be able to take care of them easily enough. Besides, the Wigglytuff was excited to be out on an adventure with Jazz and kept alert, watching for any slightest sound that was around them. Considering Jazz wasn't at all familiar with this new pokemon, this was perhaps a good idea. "Alright, Marsh, keep an eye out... I don't know what to expect with this one." The Wigglytuff saluted and cheered, more excited than Jazz was it seemed. It was nice to see her so happy, he needed to remember to bring Marsh out more often.

They didn't have to pick a target, as one came running towards them. An absolutely tiny toxel was running from others of its kind who seemed to be bullying it. It its panic, the tiny toxel attacked LS with Acid. LS jumped into battle after the attack hit, and Wrapped the toxel up in a tight grip. The toxel immediately cried out, looking sorry it tried to attack a pokemon who's so much larger then it. Tau took this opportunity to toss a great ball at the little guy, not wanting this battle to go on for much longer. Catch attempt on toxel using a great ball

Jazz would see the Toxel before Marshmallow did. While the Wigglytuff was alert and keeping an eye out for any sign of trouble, the Toxel was being quiet. It took Jazz gesturing to a patch of grass where a bright patch of purple could be seen peeking out. There was a moment of confusion before the Wigglytuff realized what she was looking at and got into a defensive position. The Toxel saw this and gave a Tearful Look, making Marshmallow hesitate briefly, looking to Jazz for what she should do. It was just a baby! She didn't want to hurt a baby...

Jazz pat the Wigglytuff's head, shaking his head, "Don't let 'er fool ya, Marsh. Use Psychic," he chastised lightly, earning a more determined nod from the Wigglytuff thereafter. A soft chuckle escaped Jazz before watching as she used a Psychic on the Toxel. Watching as it was thrown into some bushes, Jazz waited to see what the Toxel would do and blinked when it Growled instead of attacking again. Interesting. Was it hurt? Marsh was once again flailing, wanting to take care of the precious baby while Jazz shook his head, "Psychic again, Marsh," he wasn't about to chance getting Marsh hurt from a potentially poisonous pokemon.

Marshmallow looked like she was about to cry but listened and used another Psychic, tearing up when the Toxel looked exhausted and hurt after the two strong attacks. Jazz smiled at the Wigglytuff and gave her a hug, "Nice job~, I'll take it from here," it felt almost cruel to make the motherly pokemon keep attacking the Toxel after no effort was made to attack them. Tossing a pokeball at the Toxel, Jazz waited to see if the work they'd done was enough to tire it out.

Unfortunately, the Toxel wasn't exactly thrilled about the attempt to capture it and burst out of the ball, racing forward with an attempt to Nuzzle Marshmallow. At first the Wigglytuff thought the baby was just going to try and hug her and spread her arms out to do the same. Well, needless to say that the Toxel surprised Marsh with the shock and was immediately thrown backwards with a Psychic. Jazz couldn't help but laugh at the now flailing Wigglytuff and did his best to cover his hand to hide the laughter. Too late. Instead, Jazz became the target of the Wigglytuff's ire as he was flailed at. That didn't help the impending fit of laughter at all.

The Toxel was admittedly confused and joined in the Flailing before attempting to Nuzzle the Wigglytuff again. Another Psychic had the Toxel hitting a tree however as Marshmallow went on a tirade about how naughty the baby and her trainer was being. It took a good few moments for Jazz to recover from the fit of giggles before being able to throw a pokeball at the confused and tired Toxel.

By the time the Toxel broke out of the ball a second time, Marshmallow was beside herself. The Toxel had barely started towards them before it was thrown back by a Psychic straight into a tree. The Toxel cried out and tried to Flail but another Psychic into the tree stopped that. Jazz had to hug the Wigglytuff to calm her down and give the poor Toxel a break. It also meant that he got punched in the face which hurt but it was amusing seeing Marshmallow completely lose it. This was enough to make the Wigglytuff start flailing even harder and continuously apologizing for the accident.

"Easy, easy there, Marsh..." Jazz murmured, stroking her back before looking over at the Toxel. He almost felt sorry for it for making the Wigglytuff as worked up as she had been. Tossing a pokeball at it, Jazz hoped that it would stay inside this time. He didn't want to think about what would happen if it happened a third time.

Arceus. What was this Toxel made of? Not only had it broken out now four times, but it was determined to make sure that Marshmallow paid for the lecture. Jazz saw it try and sneak up to the still sobbing Wigglytuff but stepped in front of her before it had the chance to use a Nuzzle. "Shit..." Jazz swore, tensing as he felt the electricity surge through him. That woke Marshmallow up who immediately yeeted the Toxel into a tree, even using Ice Beam to freeze it to the tree.

Jazz stared at the Toxel amazed as the Wigglytuff lectured the Toxel once again, telling her how naughty she was being. Jazz put a hand on her head to calm her down and tossed yet another pokeball at the Toxel. Arceus, it was a stubborn one. This time however, the Wigglytuff used Ice Beam on the still shaking pokeball. Let's see the naughty baby get out of that. All Jazz could do was chuckle and shake his head. He didn't know if it would work but it was certainly worth a shot.

After a long, and crazy battle, it seems the Toxel is finally worn down enough to be captured. You swear you could hear the Toxel whimpering before it dissapeared into the ball, terrified. But, there was no time to escape. The ball was frozen shut, and eventually the successful click echoes.

The last swarm was a curious one. Toxel wasn't something Koray was all that familiar with, but he had opted to bring Lórien with him this time. The Yamask was quite shy but enjoyed being out and exploring nonetheless. She especially liked the way the sun was shining despite the cold weather. It was a little odd how to her, especially since Koray seemed to be cold all bundled up in a scarf and heavy jacket. A soft, concerned coo was given before Koray waved her off. "Thanks, Lórien, but I'm fine, promise." The Yamask looked skeptical, but Koray just laughed and shook his head, "Just keep an eye out for the Toxel, ok?" The sooner they found it, the sooner they could go back home.

Elizabeth now found herself on Route 2. The girl had heard rumors in Cedar about wild pokemon known as Toxel swarming the area. The girl had never heard of such pokemon before but the rumor was these were native species to the region of Galar now begin discovered here in Arciel. Liz thus thought she might as well venture out to see about obtaining one of these unusual new pokemon.

From her understanding it was a poison and electric type, which seemed like a weird combination but it sounded cool. The ranger was ready to travel the route anyway thus she'd gathered her team and decided stopping to try and find this Toxel swarm would be a good start to their travels. Liz hadn't been concerned with catching new pokemon just yet as she has several in stasis waiting to make it through the Acriel travel bureau and she wanted to focus on capturing new species she didn't already have.

Plus the girl was pretty focused on training everyone up to get them back in shape and to fighting form. If she were going to patrol the region on ranger business and challenge the gyms her team had to be ready for any and all situations. 'Always be prepared' as the scout motto goes though she'd learned the more extreme version of this from her military training. Thus if caught Toxel would be her first official catch in Arciel. Not a bad start really, and Liz was rather excited to get back 'in the game' so to speak.

As the group kept an eye out for one of these little purple reptiles they were not expecting the one that suddenly appeared before them. Elizabeth was taken aback by the taller punk like pokemon but surmised it must be the evolved form of Toxel. The ranger consulted her pokedex to confirm her suspicions and learned this was a toxtricity. She was guessing he'd been drawn in by the stronger members of her team. Raya crossed her arms and eyed the poisonous electric type up and down. The lucario could likely take the toxtricity without any trouble but Liz didn't initiate battle.

The steel jackal raised a brow at her trainer who stepped toward the toxtricity. She dipped her head in polite greeting. "Hello there Toxtricity. Are you looking for a battle or perhaps something more?" The girl inquired watching the punk pokemon with curiosity. The toxtricity hadn't attacked and seemed to be regarding her warily.

"I can see you managed to evolve quite nicely and have a proposal. My team could use someone of your strength to assist us on our travels. As my team can assure you you'll be treated well, and you would certainly be an essential member of the team. My team are my family and confidants, as would you be. If you're interested in seeing more of Arciel and getting even stronger perhaps you'd care to join up with us?" Liz suggested as she pulled a pokeball from her pack and offered it to the troxtricity. She watched him closely picking up on the troxtricity's serious approach to things. It seemed to her he was considering the offer at least.

Adelaide had no idea how to take care of an egg, and was utterly clueless on the matter. So it was no surprise that she'd called up her sister urgently requesting the older girls help. One of the things she was told was that eggs, like newborn babies, needed to be walked- not like pokemon walked on a leash and stuff, but just... with your person as you take care of it. So that's probably why she found herself wondering absently down route 2, Durant egg held close to her chest in order to give it warmth, and ensure it stayed safe.

She didn't know what'd happen if she had dropped it, and was terrified of the very idea of even breaking the egg! What would she do then?! Probably cry and refuse to ever leave her hotel room, knowing her. But still. Her feet carried her as she mumbled softly to the egg, "I h-hope you're comfy..."
