Look at this ball! How round and cool! And just squishy enough! Ignis was having a field day trying to balance this thing. Ifrit wasn’t near as intrigued, but he was willing to go along with his counterpart for humor’s sake. They bounced, balanced, and passed the ball a couple of times gently.
Gabe slowly sat down on the side of his bed to catch this (and keep an eye on the coffee). When it was done, he’d stood again to pull it out of the machine— just as Senara stepped out. “Mmmm?” Gabe looked up and immediately rolled his eyes. “It’s big, soft, and comfy,” he justified despite starting to make another cup with relative ease. Hotel coffee wasn’t made to be hard to make, after all. Starting up the machine, he finally grabbed his own again and drank. Ah…. That was a little better.
The sudden giggles had both Ignis and Ifrit looking over briefly. Bouncing the Spheal briefly, they devolved into even more ridiculous poses on their hind quarters, trying to show Senara… something. Gabe was snickering now too. “Coffee and a show…” he assured briefly. Speaking of. The machine had just finished again (with that superheated water making it easy this time), so he grabbed it off the machine and leaned over dramatically enough to hand it to Senara…. Only to see what she was wearing right after and snicker even harder than before.
"Hah, so you admit it! Does he know you took it?" Senara paused, then, scoffing, shook her head. "Then again that man is as dense as lead, you could probably steal more than a shirt and he'd never notice." Why did Gabe choose a man like that to have any sort of feelings for, she would never understand. Then again, he also loved a six-foot-tall angry dragon like it was his precious baby, so maybe his tastes were just weird. Not like she and her obsession with rocks was one to talk. "We should start up a street performance ring while we're in the city. People will pay a lot to see cute Pokemon do cute things."
A cup of coffee floated into her view so she snatched it up, took a sip, and immediately made a face. Urrgh, it wasn't instant coffee, but it wasn't great. Alas, beggars can't be choosers. She kept sipping. "Allez, putain de jus de haricot magique, réveille-moi plus vite...what??" Senara frowned up at Gabe, then, following his gaze, looked down at herself. She didn't see anything weird about a turtleneck and jeans...it wasn't like she was in those damn pajamas still. Arceus, she was never going to live that down.
She only huffed and sipped more coffee. "If you're going to make fun of my outfit, at least take the time to look presentable yourself, monsieur boyfriend-shirt." Sphorb, finally getting a little dizzy being bounced between the Vulpix and very small Ninetails, let out a couple small yips and wriggled his fins about. Senara snickered more at them.
"Careful, if those two bully him too much, Polochon will try to eat them."
Did Amell know he swiped this particular shirt? Gabe shrugged. He’d both taken and been gifted so much of Amell’s stuff over the last year or so that he couldn’t honestly remember at that point. He eyeballed the Vulpix and Ninetales as thoughts of starting up a street performance group came and went. People would indeed pay, but the question was actually how much and would it be worth their time heh.
…His time was better spent scrutinizing and snickering at Senara’s choice of clothing. The comment back, though, earned a small roll of eyes. “Presentable enough as is,” he assured even as he shifted to grab his back and walk to the bathroom.
He paused momentarily at the comment before snorting in response. “He’ll get roasted from the inside out that way,” he assured before: “Ignis, Ifrit, find something else to mess with.” The Vulpix and Ninetales stopped briefly to eyeball Gabe and then look around the room. They decided bouncing and running from one bed to the other was a reasonable substation for fun even if it was probably annoying a certain Sableye in the process.
Gabe came out a little later in a long red sweatshirt with holes for thumbs and a pair of jeans that had seen better days. His hair had been pulled back into two twin tails starting at the back of his neck. “This is as good as it’s going to get.”

Still worshiping her cup of coffee Senara just stuck her tongue out at Gabe's back as he went off to change. "Snorlax have strong stomachs!" She helpfully reminded just before he told the foxes to find another plaything. Sphorb rolled onto his back on the pillow Senara had been using, breathing a cool sigh of relief at being put down. It became a little less relieved when the pair of them started bouncing too and fro on the beds, making him, too, bounce up and down. Polochon was too heavy to budge, but poor Baby Girl wasn't so lucky--one good pounce, be it intentional or not, landed squarely on her back, and she let out a loud high-pitched hiss, claws swiping at whomever had landed on her from under the covers. Senara lowered her cup. Uh-oh.
"Si vous déchirez ces draps, pas de bijoux pendant une semaine!" She warned. Her words were heeded just enough, as Baby Girl wormed her way out from under the sheets to, instead, swipe at Ignis and Ifrit every time they landed to close to her, still hissing all the while. It seemed the good graces she'd extended to Liz didn't extend to the other Pokemon on Gabe's team...or at least not to the ones who'd stepped on her.
Oi.
Senara was absently combing her fingers through her still-slightly-damp hair when Gabe emerged. One look at him and she had to roll her eyes. Well, eye. "You look like a high-school hipster. You know what, I've changed my mind, the not-a-boyfriend shit looked better on you." She smirked around the lip of her cup as she drained it of its remaining contents. She'd need about two more of those before she was functional after last night, but it was a decent start. With two hands she walked over and picked Baby Girl up from under the arms before she could get a proper claw into either vulpine.
"Vous pouvez les blesser plus tard. Maman a besoin de nourriture." She chided gently, then wrapped the angry little ball of purple up in a hug. "Voulez-vous venir ou vous rendormir?" Baby Girl grumbled a few more choice complaints but nodded, climbing up from Senara's hold to perch on her shoulder, partially hidden in her hair. Senara scratched beneath her ear. "Bonne fille. Polochon, Sphorb, back you two go for now."
She withdrew their pokeballs from the nightstand and clicked the buttons, reabsorbing both Pokemon in beams of red light, then slipped them into the front of her backpack. "So since I'll probably be in town a bit longer than anticipated, is this place too expensive for an extended stay? Should I get a cheaper place for the next couple of weeks?" Not the ideal way to spend the holiday, but it wasn't like she'd had any other plans for it.
Ignis wouldn’t even feel the swipe from the Sableye under the sheets. He was too fired up and excitable bouncing now. Ifrit was at least somewhat aware, however, and was quick to try and redirect his friend to a different spot— or at least that was until the Sableye came up from the sheets and started to swipe at him too. Then it was a game, and the Ninetales decided to do anything and everything in his power to annoy the Sableye. Luckily, he did stop (as did Ignis) to address Gabe as he exited.
High school hipster? Gabe snorted. “At least have the courtesy to put me in college,” he answered. Walking over to the Vulpix and Ninetales, he’d reach down and pat the both of them slowly before shifting to get their Pokeballs and returning them too. He was a little warmer now on his own. The question had his attention flickering back to Senara, though, and a frown crossed his features. “It’s sort of expensive staying in town,” he answered. “There are cheaper places for extended stay down in Cherry Town.” Reaching to grab the bag he had, Gabe shouldered it. “There's also the farm house but it only has heat sometimes.” Gabe deadpanned a little at that.

"Mmmm, nah. The sleeves-with-thumb-holes thing is too secondary-school for college. Sorry." She was not sorry. Senara continued to pack whatever things she'd taken from her bag back into it, humming tunelessly as she did so. As suspected it was expensive to stay in Plum. Shocker. But Gabe did offer a fair alternative. She'd never been to Cherry Town either, all she knew was that it was where a lot of her berries came from.
The comment about his farm did give her pause, though. Was he offering to let her stay with him? For two weeks? Well, it wasn't like she was trapped here, she could take a ferry back to the mainland and go home if she wanted, but it made more sense to be closer when the time was coming instead of trying to get here the night before, again.
And the mental image of Gabe farming still looked super weird in her head. Hm.
"Is the 'sometimes' translatable to 'whenever my Fire-types are out'? Because that may be bearable," her coat on and zipped and backpack back on her, well, back--and a still grumpy Sableye in her hair--Senara caught up to Gabe before he got to the door. She smiled a little up at him, curious more than biting. "If you're offering, I'll take any excuse to spend less money~ You wouldn't need to put me up the whole time, obviously." Senara tilted her head, still looking up at him. "I figure you'll want me elsewhere if you're not around, or for the holidays. But. A day or so while I find an alternative, maybe?"
I'll need to clean my other outfit at least. Bleh, if it only has heat sometimes, does it have a working laundry machine? I could probably get Sphorb to wash it if I had to...
Am I actually considering staying with Gabe? In his house? For any period of time??
Well...we are...on better terms, I guess.
Won't it be weird?
His roommate-who-he-wants-to-bang asked me to a threesome once. Nothing in the universe could be weirder than that. It'll be fine. I trust him.
Gabe snorted softly but wouldn’t answer the question then. Instead, he found himself headed towards the door and towards free food— well, as free as it got when one was already paying for the room. At the mention of the holidays, though, his hand that had been at the door handle suddenly dropped to his side. “…..” Ah, yeah, he supposed… they wouldn’t have time to try again so soon….with that coming up… right on up. That… made sense but….Ugh. Gabe grabbed the door, opened it, and started out into the hallway.
Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. Damn i— Senara’s thoughts cut into Gabe’s own, and he tilted his head to look sideways at her. He… he probably should have been amused by or assured by those thoughts, but those feelings would have to be found later. “You’re overthinking,” he stated out loud before coming to the elevator door and pressing the button to call it.

Senara had forgotten that Gabe was telepathic. That should not have been something one forgets so easily, but, look, it had been a long night and she was still only on one cup of coffee so far, so when he casually complained that she was overthinking she didn't register what he meant for a couple seconds. And then she did, suddenly, recall their conversation last night, and her cheeks turned razz berry red. "I--Well sorry if my thoughts are too loud for you. I'll make sure to think minimally around you from now on." She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest, looking more annoyed than freaked out by him hearing her thoughts. She could read his aura. It was a two-way weird street.
Speaking of, he's doing a lot of flickering...is he alright? Should I ask him, or just distract him? Wait, can he still hear me? Hey if you can hear this, you're a Snubbull face.
Standing by Gabe's side she swayed gently from side to side, waiting for the lift. "So what do you grow on your farm? Berries?" Senara tilted her head back, grinning slyly. "I get the innate suspicion that you need a lot of rawst berries in your life. For reasons."
Gabe’s teeth grit at Senara’s retort. He started to mutter something under his breath and intentionally in Arroain only for Senara’s thoughts to cut into his mind again. “I didn’t ask for this,” he growled pressing the elevator button a couple more times as if it would call it any faster.
The question, though, offered a momentary distraction, and the elevator dinged and opened. Oh, good. “Right now I’m growing Apricorn trees,” he answered. “The last harvest of berries was earlier in the winter. My Pokemon got tired of pushing around snow on the berry fields.”
Gabe couldn’t help but snicker on remembering the look on one of his Sceptile’s faces when fresh snow had fallen and undone all of the tilling that had been done previously. Of course if it had been his responsibility, he probably would have just set fire to all the ice but apparently that wasn’t a good farming tactic.

Urgh, he was taking things so seriously. Seriously! It wasn't like she was bothered by his telepathy. It was going to be a little weird at first, but so was her being able to see literal life energy floating around people's bodies. She wasn't one to pick at a person's powers invading somebody's personal thoughts or feelings unintentionally. Her cheeks stayed red, though, and she pouted slightly. "Yeah, well, at least tell me--" If it's hurting you, "--if you're picking up on something embarrassing? Or I'm going to start running the most annoying songs I can think of through my head. It's payback for blinding me."
I'm not normal, too, remember? Don't be so sad...
...AURGH stop listening to this!! It's embarrassing!!
Senara huffed and waltzed into the open elevator to lean side against the railing on the wall. "Apricorns...oh, the...what are they called? Noigrume! Okay, I know what you're talking about," she put a finger to her lips, "I think I have a few back home, actually. Won them in battles or from gashapon machines. Blue, pinks, and black? Do you have those? You can have them, if you want, since I'm more into the," she waved her hand, "Long-dead and-or never-living things in the mines, not so keen on the living plants."
Gabe’s lips parted, closed, and parted again. Finally, a snort escaped from him instead. “I—“ His features went flat, and his aura stopped moving for a moment. He wanted to… explain but decided against it at the last moment. It wasn’t her problem, it was his, after all. The elevator and mention of farming clicked everything back into place again.
“…They’re called Apricorns,” Gabe snorted a bit back. “Not Nogruthefuck…” As she mentioned having a few, though, he raised an eyebrow at her. Won in battles and in the gachapon machines? Blue, pink, and black? Did he have those? He knew he had a few red and white and orange, but that just so happened to be three he didn’t have. “I’ll take them then…” He rolled his eyes once at her preference for long dead crap in the ground. “You can make Pokeballs with Apricorns. I have a ….friend who actually makes them.” Yeah he guessed Koray was friend-status right then.
The elevator dinged open, and Gabe started out again.
It'd been a decent amount of time since Ellie and Arietta had gotten off the ferry, chatting idly as they made their way over to the hotel- as far as Arietta was aware they were the only two who were gonna be staying there, at least for the night, while the other members would make their way over tomorrow! Arietta was dragging her suitcase behind her, Aumia curled up on top of it as she continued forward, talking excitedly to Elise. "I hope the rooms are big!" She grinned then, "Because we can probably go over the routine and stuff!"
Oh! It looked like the hotel was coming up! Arietta adjusted her grasp on the suitcase, smiling softly as Aumia squeaked a little and walked a little faster. "We booked a double-room, right? Or... was Callie in charge of the booking?" She was mumbling a little now, but mainly she was really excited! It was still earlyish, so maybe they could grab some room service snacks!
Arietta opened the door for Ellie then, grinning at her, "I think we just give our names at the front, probably!" Once the girl was in she continued forward, what routine could they go over first, anyway? There was the really poppy one... though Ellie'd be on keyboard for a few- oh! Maybe the spinny one... she just had to ensure the girls were synchronized to the beat was all.
Towards the counter, she tugged up the sleeves of her fuzzy pink jacket before smiling at the lady. "Hi! There should be a booking- either under Arietta or Elise- I think?" as she waited for her to search up the booking she let her eyes take in the lobby around her, stylish, kinda cool- a great place to chill! Maybe the room service would have sugary pancakes!
Orrr blueberry muffins? Not that they were sweet but- the elevator opened as her gaze took in the room, and all at one her face paled. Oh... oh... That- was it? She squinted... that- of fuck no. "Ellie..." she said slowly, softly. She couldn't deal with this right now- she'd only just gotten over the ferry incident- thankfully she hadn't noticed Senara yet, but... "...tell me i'm hallucinating?"
Her voice was a mumble, and she snapped her eyes to Elise, looking way less chipper than she was a few minutes ago. She didn't know what to do- hopefully he was just leaving and she could collapse and stuff her face with food? Gabe had basically broken town when she last saw him- that was supposed to be the final-final goodbye and she was never-ever supposed to see him again, she hadn't had the chance to text Senara again but... but... FuCK and Elise was here how did she go about this?
“If not, maybe one of the party rooms is open? Or we could ask for them to open it?” Elise asked as she walked along with Arietta, her gaze held on the girl’s profile. “Either way! I’d love to get in some routine practice! I…eheheheh need it for sure.”
At the question, Elise paused and frowned. “I think Callie was… but I bet she booked a double?” she ask-stated back as she stepped in passed the door and into the lobby. “Either that or we’re under PNG as like a group booking…” she went on following the flow of the conversation. The woman at the desk had overheard the group name and was already punching something into the computer before they’d stepped up. Elise’s gaze was on her right then.
Gabe stepped out of the elevator and stretched slowly. Yellow eyes flicked around from one part of the lobby to the other searching out the sign that pointed to the breakfast hall only to stop as they met a familiar gaze. ….Are you kidding me…. He could see her there just looking at him. Passed her was one of her groupmates, but which one he couldn’t tell. All at once Gabe’s aura flared upwards, hot, angry, conflicted. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? His hands balled into fists, and every muscle in his arms seemed to flex at once.
Elise was taking a room key from the woman behind the desk when Arietta’s voice hit her ears. “Huh?” she asked turning slightly onto to stare as well. “Isn’t that— Gabriel Alim??“ She felt eyes on herself and looked back at Arietta. “Do you know who’s with him?”
As the elevator descended Senara was fussing with her hair. It was still damp but it was tangle-free. Hm. Pigtails? Ponytail? She didn't have the bobby-pin army she usually needed to get this mess into a bun. High ponytail it was. She started tying it up as Gabe accepted her offer of noigrume...err, apricorns. "Same words, superior language," Senara snickered. Huh, so you could turn them into pokeballs? "How eco-friendly. Do they make, like, standard 'balls or is there something special about them?" With her hair up properly she shook out the tail so it wasn't all bunched up while wet. "Friend? Aw, you have friends who aren't me? I'm am agog, I am aghast. Can I meet them?~"
The elevator 'dinged' and out they stepped. She followed after Gabe, grateful, perhaps, for him being in the lead because there were even more people mulling about than there had been last night. Not an immense amount but all the same, she wa--
Her field of view suddenly went painfully bright and painfully red, and blindly stumbled forward on her next step, planting her face right into Gabe's spine. What. What?
--oh hello migraine it's good to see you again. How's this morning treating you.
"Gabby," she spoke in a muffled voice before pulling back, eyes squeezed shut and using her hand to guide her as she walked around him to pat at his elbow, "Gabby, we've talked about this, no blinding me with your goddamn aura until I've had more coffee??" When she was at his side rather than right behind him she opened her eyes slowly to squint around. What had caused this explosion this time. Was Amell here with a girl? Hah. Wouldn't that be a treat? But alas, it was not nearly something as funny for her.
Uuuuuuugh, fuckshit. Are you sure she's not stalking you? Because this could totally be taken for stalking. I could totally get security to check inside her stupid cutsey bag...
Her hand slid down and took his, giving it a small reassuring squeeze.
"Hey," she mumbled, "Look down at me. If she comes over to talk with us then she'll be the one instigating it, and I can handle it. You don't have to. But if she's smart she won't. Okay? Let's just get some food and check out. Breathe, Gabe. Come on."
Is she smart? Or will her thirst for dramatics get the better of her.
Crap, she thought I flew back "home". Well I never told her where "home" was. I can say she assumed it was Kalos or something. But what do I do about her thinking we're a couple?? Do I...keep it up? If she comes over here I can. Say I couldn't wait and talked with him already and we resolved things. It's not like it's any of her business. She's not in love with him and he's gotten pretty damn over her...right? So she'll stay away...
As Elise spoke she was proven that infact she wasn't hallucinating, and hearing his naee roll of her tongue- arceus fucking shit- uh- uhm. As Elise continued to speak Arietta blinked slowly, she hadn't been focusing but... had Gabe gone to a hotel with a random?! Was he cheating o- oh. Oh. Senara- it was Senara?! Wait, hang on- but... didn't she fly back to Kalos? She... wasn't supposed to be back for a while, and when she was... she was supposed to message Ara- but then Ara... should have... the ferry... and... wasn't she going to break up with Gabe? Or like, ignoring him?
Wasn't that all her fault?! Didn't he like, almost cry, and almost... and... Elise knew nothing- wow- okay. A shallow breath... right-o. "U-Uhm...That's... his girlfriend, Senara..." She spoke softly, moving to cross her arms tightly around herself. "...this is part of the 'tiny' issue I was talking about- i'll... uh- fill you in later but- uhm..." Arietta fidgited, what did she do- she... Senara holding Gabes hand- Gabe... he didn't look- right- okay. This was wrong, and her stomach felt like it was stretching then deflating all at once.
Eyes kept flicking between the two, then at Elise, then back at the two, before she moved to uncross her armms and run her hands through her hair- fuck fuck fuck- she- had to say something- but Elise was... and... maybe she could... just... act casual- act normal! Yeah! And... and there'd be no issues- and... she still had to talk to Senara, of course, and... why hadn't she messaged?!
A gulp of air, another deep breath and a soft whisper of, "Ellie, can you... please just- stay next to me? And- play along- i'm... I don't want things to get out of hand- an easy touch and go convo, then we can relax in the rooms." She was about to do something very, very dumb. Thoughts flicking every other direction. It'd be even worse if she just... ignored them. Ugh.
One step, two steps- right- she was moving, hands threading through her hair as she dragged the suitcase, with the curious Aumia, behind her. Smile fake as daisies on her face- right- right- okay. Now what the fuck does she do? Words- "Oh my arceus- Hi! What... what a coincidence!" Oh, oh god- that... right... didn't come out right. "...I didn't know you were back in town, Senara!" Her gaze flicked to Senara- she was scared that if she stared at Gabe long enough she'd just lose her shit, she'd already cried to Koray over the incident- she'd already taken a breather. Phantom pains crept up her neck and she tilted her head.
She should have texted Senara but she was like a zombie right after, she probably won't be able to go to Ivy town for ages... and... uhm... "You two are doing well- or at least- you look like you are!" She... wasn't wrong with that, at least- they were holding hands- after whatever went down with the chaos on the ferry that... that was... her fault- they were happy- they were good- they... oh- she shouldn't ruin this but... she... Alright... Arietta shifted so she was closer to Elise, both hands moving to rest on the suitcase now. "Are the rooms here good? The PNG girls have a concert coming up, and we've got a room or..." Eyes flicked back to Elise, "...how...many did we have booked?"
Start off casual, act casual- then- then work to your questions- then you can go and slam down some sugary pancakes, go through choreography, explain things to Elise. Easy- three step process. Or.. maybe more- she could handle this- just seeing Gabe with a new girl- it was... almost a relief in a way, that she hadn't ruined their relationship...
And Senara was a lovely girl... she... hoped nothing had gone wrong since... yeah.
Gabe didn’t even fully process Senara crashing into him. He didn’t process her thoughts, let alone her words as she spoke them. His eyes and thoughts were fixed on Arietta alone. He wanted a fight. He wanted to run over and start a goddamn fight because everything in him told him he should. He wanted to walk over there and ask he why she thought she could take over Plum when she’d already taken Bass. He wanted to—
Hey, look down at me…. Something about Senara’s voice cut through Gabe’s thoughts better than anything else, and he physically fidgeted in the process. Yellow eyes pulled away and fixed on Senara instead. A strangled breath was all Senara’d get back immediately. And then of course all of her concerns hit his skull almost immediately after. Fucking shit goddamnit to hell—
Elise blinked several times and smiled a little…. weaker? than before??? “O-oh???” Her eyes flicked from Gabe to Arietta and then back again several times. “They look happy??” she ask-assessed. Well, maybe not happy, but they were looking at each other now and seemed??? Uh??? Ok maybe not that either but???? Elise looked back at Arietta confusedly. Uh????? The next request had a look of alarm coming to Elise’s eyes. “Did something happen? Oh god are you ok???” she squeaked out a little louder than necessary. She looked from Gabe and then to Ari again. “Did he hurt you???” she mouthed. But Arietta was already moving. Elise straightened and immediately started moving as well.... right towards a waiting Gabe and Senara.
Why was she coming at them? Why was she coming at them? Gabe’s eyes flashed form Senara to Ara again. “…..” What was she doing? Why was she— You two are doing well… HAHAHHAHHAHAHHAH???? Gabe was sure he looked like hell after last night, but he kind of guessed that wasn’t what Ara meant. Gabe’s breath tightened in his chest. His eyes flashed sideways to Senara, and he reached in the back of his mind for a small second for that fuzzy power. It hurt, but he was hurting. Yellow eyes held hard on Senara's. ‘Make up whatever you want’ It was both a telepathic message directed at her… and an order to say something. Anything. Anything at all.
Elise’s gaze kept flickering from Gabe and Senara to Ari. The awkward tension was making it more uncomfortable by the second. “Three!” she squeaked. “For everyone else coming later…. That’s what the lady back there said….! Tony’s coming later tonight and Callie said she was en route as soon as she finished up some stuff and—” She wasn’t sure why but…. Elise wanted to fill the space… the air… as much as she could then. If she’d had a piano right then, she would have started playing.
Well that answered that question. With a whole wide-open lobby area for her to stand in and not say anything to them, Arietta still decided to do the stupid thing and walk up. Senara could feel her eye twitch beneath her patch. Oh my God. Are you kidding me?!
She was not awake enough to deal with this. The act, the cheery smiles, the fake-as-hell "Oh my God how are you?!" that she spat out like the alpha bitch on a daytime soap. Senara grit her teeth. And then, hating every second of it, turned it into a smile. She could hear Gabe literally in her head telling her to do something. Urgh, she was too tired for this!! But his aura was so painful to look at and she knew it was killing him to have her around, let alone right in their face, and...it also was a little easier than she expected to push the fake smile on her face. Like she'd been given a push of willpower. Huh.
Weird.
"Arietta! Bonjour!" Her accent thickened intentionally as she spoke, and she locked her arm firmly around Gabe. She probably was wondering why she was here, and not in Kalos--or wherever she thought she lived--and why she was with Gabe who she'd sworn not to speak to without her...or something. Yeah, something like that. But Senara had no clear answers to that off the top of her head. So she'd act like absolutely nothing was out of the ordinary. She was playing dumb and sweet, not conniving and back-stabbing. Not yet anyway. She tilted her head, smile still bright. "I can't believe our luck! Yes, we came out Plum for the holiday--the flight was awful," Senara giggled, saccharine sweet and sickening, and hugged Gabe's arm closer to her chest, "But lucky for us the beds here are very comfortable! Not that we got too much sleep, right, mon chéri?~"
Technically not a thing she'd said was a lie. Not completely. They hadn't slept much--but absolutely not for the reason she was "insinuating"--and the flight had been awful--because Gabe's chest had ripped open mid-air--and she absolutely could NOT believe what shitty luck they were having right now. Who was the girl next to her, anyway?
What the heck is a PNG? A photo file? Or...a concert? Senara felt a little lost.
But, hey, maybe once Ara realized there's no "fun" to be had she'd fuck right off.
"Three? Oh wow, but it's so coûteux!" She feigned a moment's concern, raising her hand up to her lips, "Well...I hope you are having a good time in Plum! Will you be here long?" If she's here for more than two weeks, I'll add "burn down this hotel" to our criminal agenda, how's that sound? "I have never been before--have so much to see!"
Her hands tightened ever so slightly on the suitcase, and when asked if he'd hurt her all she could do was mouth 'later' at Elise. Right... right okay... Senara's face seemed to settle into a smile which... eased her a little bit, the girl was chipper, she was nice- Arietta didn't expect anything less. Aumia had seemed to finally get a grasp of what exactly Ara was doing and squeaked from on top of the suitcase, attempting to get her trainers attention, but Arietta continued smiling.
So they came out for a holiday... Gabe on a holiday was kinda weird to think about but... eh... "A holiday? That sounds juuust great! She let go of the suitcase with one hand to adjust her jacket, pushing her lips together a moment... right... "Uhm- you should have texted me! You're so close to Bass, y'know? We could have met up and..." Her voice faded off for a moment- no... the talk wasn't supposed to be a thing now- "...but- everythings okay right, now, i'm sure?."
Another soft squeak, and her hands met to gently pat Aumia, who scurried up her arm and settled on her shoulder, wary. She almost immediatly froze for a moment at her words- ah yeah of course- they were at a hotel they- oh... mmm... they- oh. Arietta didn't know how to process that- hadn't they only met in person a few months ago?? And... hands clasped and unclasped. No they were in love that was fi-
In love. That's why she'd wanted to talk, she forced another breath and finally moved to sweep a hand through her hair, "I'm sure me and the girls will have a great sleep on the comfy beds then." Another grin that didn't reach her eyes. This didn't feel right.
As Elise spoke Arietta nodded, curling her hands through her hair, "Three, yep!" She echoed now, smiling absently as the girl rambled a little. "Hopefully Tony brings everything you forgot, then!" Gabe wasn't talking- of course he wasn't She'd... driven Gabe to.. almost- and- oh- but... she still didn't comprehend it properly- she couldn't- she didn't understand, she couldn't. "We're just here.. a week tops? For the concert and maybe just seeing stuff- i'm not sure... Callie's in charge of it." Fidgiting now, "...there's a lot of good sights here- if you need more tourist spots feel free to text me- I know a bunch!"
Still acting chipper, she adjusted her stance, leaning back and tilting her head. "...Has...Gabe been okay?" Her voice was quieter than intended, after the ferry- fucking arceus that was- and then... if they were back together she'd assume as much, but he was... bad there-and... Liz.. and... what was she doing?
Gabe was not sure what he had been expecting but Senara’s peppy accented greeting was not it. He blinked a couple of times and looked back to her before finding a forced smile on his own features. Yes, holiday, sure. Alright then… “Not a wink,” he snorted softly back, his gaze flicking from Senara to Arietta. That smile of his peeled into something of a grin back.
Elise caught on and immediately blushed raising a hand to cover her pinking cheeks. Her eyes flicked from Ari to Gabe and then to Senara thereafter.
Everything’s ok now, hah. Gabe bit the inside of his mouth but kept smiling. Yeah sure. Still, Senara pulled this off well, and knowing Ara wasn’t going to be there too long was helpful but…. A week to burn this place to the ground… was stored in the back of his mind for later.
Elise, meanwhile, was coming to the conclusion that everything was fine??? Maybe she had just been misreading the tension because like??? Ari was talking like things were ok?? “Maybe we could go out together sometime if you’re going to be around??” she ask-offered to Senara with a small smile.
Oh wasn’t that priceless. Coupled with that and overhearing Ara’s question right after, Gabe felt something in him crack. “I’ve been fiiiiine,” he cut in with a small sing-song ending. “Finally got over that winter cold just in time to spend some much needed time with my girlfriend.” His eye flicked sideways to fix on Elise who immediately blushed with awkwardness over that tone. “And sorry, but we’ll be very busy the next couple of days.”
"Ehh? Is it really that close? I didn't think you would want to come all the way out here to see us...and I do not have enough time to spend out here to take the ferry too and fro...I'm, like, so sorry!" Senara wanted to pinch the bridge of her nose, but resisted. God, she was just going all in on this wasn't she. Why was she so invested in Gabe's love life anyway? She said it herself, she didn't love him anymore. They were cutting ties. So get to the cutting. Snip-snip. Get lost. But here she still was. At least it wasn't going to overlap with their actual reason for staying in Plum. "Everything's fine! Why wouldn't it be?" Is there any reason it wouldn't be, Gabby? "I mean, I totally need more coffee before I can do anything brain-related," she giggled and tapped her head with her knuckles with the hand not holding Gabe's, "Need some fuel to make up for lost sleep!"
God, how awkward do I need to make this before she leaves?? Or her friend drags her away?? I'm fighting back a blush already, lady, get your ass in gear!!
Senara opened her mouth to turn down Arietta as gently as she could--which, given this persona of hers, she'd have to do some deep digging to get the sincerity right--but her little friend added to it, and while Senara looked between the two of them with her best "Oh, um, but" smile on her face, Arietta got in a question that made her eye twitch again.
Why the fuck do you care?
"Um, I mean, he's still as Gabe as ever? And he's, like, right here...you can ask him yourself if you want to?" Senara heightened the tone of her voice, sounding ever so slightly suspicious, and not bothering to make herself quieter. "Though I guess you are trying to give each other space...uh, well..." Gabe actually spoke up and got in a few quick jabs. Senara looked up at him, grinned brighter, and giggled again. "Aww, tu es un petit gamin parfois~" The odds of either of these girls actually knowing Kalosian felt slim enough for her to say that aloud. She leaned back so she could wrap her arm around his torso and pull him into a hug not unlike the one from last night. Though...it didn't feel as nice. Probably because it was an act, and meant to look, well, romantic.
Something about that made her feel ill. But Arietta just wasn't backing off. So...
Senara looked back to Arietta and Elise with as sappy smile on her lips. "Not to, like, totally brush you off or anything. I just want to spend as much time as I've got with him, so..." She trailed off, glancing aside for a moment. "...you understand, right girls?"
No offense to you, but I'm going to need something stronger than coffee after this act.
