Arietta shifted as Senara spoke again, it was still on the same side of Arciel- she wanted to be busy, so going on the ferry over to Plum would have been ok. "It's... sorta close!" A shrug, "But that's okay, I understand I just... wish you would have texted me." Really, it would have helped sort a bunch of stuff out, maybe- probably. And Senara kept talking, and talking- and talking- everythings fine, why wouldn't it be?!
Did she know about the ferry- did... did Gabe not tell her about the feryy? Gabe didn't tell her about the ferry- they'd been fighting?! And... he was...so upset. He'd been reaaaallly upset- and- it was her fault partially but... ugh. Is he the one who doesn't trust Senara?
Aumia let out a soft coo, nuzzling slightly into Arietta's neck as she watched the duo before her, she was torn on what to do. On one hand? She wanted to flee right fucking now- on the other... she had so much on her mind that she wanted to say- but she shouldn't- sheee really shouldn't. Foucs on PNG, put Gabe and his new girlfriend, his new life behind you! At Elise's words Arietta's face paled and she looked almost frantically between Senara and Gabe, trying to figure out what to do. How could she say please, fuck no politely? Elise didn't know about... all the stuff... aaaah... uh- oh...
She uncomfortably fidgeted as the two hugged, moving herself even closer to Elise, sending her an almost sad expression- smile faltering. "...ah." is left her softly, and she waited a few beats... She didn't wanna see this- she didn't want to think of this- because what if Gabe did the same to Senara- because she used to be- that used to be her...
Once she was sure Senara stopped speaking Arietta let out a soft, shaky breath. "I understand, you two are soo cute- you should enjoy... all your time, y'know?" She took a step back and clicked her tongue.
"I do... have one question though- then i'll be out of your hair!" She brought her hands together then, "...Did Gabe tell you about the ferry? See- you say everythings fine as if... you didn't hear anything about it, as if Gabe never told you any of his..." Arietta couldn't stop, no, she couldn't- she was slightly suspicious, and on edge, but she kept up, a small smile on her face, "...Worries? Since you're his girlfriend, I just assumed he would have told you..."
All of a sudden, Arietta’s surface level thoughts crashed into Gabe at once. Her worry, concern, and anxiety were suddenly flooding his mind. Gabe swayed slightly. The smile on his face weakened before falling flat. His aura went dim and shrunk to fidgety flicks of embers. She was still on about that damn ferry, and now he was having to listen to it. Or worse.
An audible breath came and went from Gabe before he reached a hand up to the side of his face and his temple. Loud. It was loud then. All those frantic thoughts didn’t stop. Distantly, he wondered if he smashed his face hard enough into a wall could he possibly pass out and not hear this??? Feel this??? Shit shit shit shit shit— He found himself leaning into Senara’s hug a little more than he wanted to. ‘It’s loud…’ crossed the mental barrier in a strange, strangled-panic. He couldn’t think….Fuck he couldn’t think???
Elise was still watching all of this thoroughly confused. She didn’t understand???? Her eyes flicked from Gabe and Senara to Arietta again as she stepped closer to her. A hand reached out to pat Ari’s??? Was that comforting??? What do??? “Maybe we should get going?” she’d started to whisper to Ari only to get cut off as the other girl spoke up again.
Arietta had spoken before Gabe could think to cut it off, to psychically explain to Senara what had happened, or otherwise. He just stood there tense again with too many thoughts in his head. “Shut UP Ara,” suddenly blurted out of him, and a hand slapped up to his mouth right after.
“Hey! Don’t yell at her!” Elise snapped back almost immediately after.
Yep, super cute, enjoy your time, can you goooooo?
NOPE, apparently not!
Senara's smile faltered, and for a moment--which she hoped lined up perfectly with Arietta's sudden weird series of questions--her lips looked more like an irritated scowl. She quickly turned her head up to look at Gabe to try to hide it. Ferry? The hell was she on about now? Hah, girly thinks she knows all his "worries". That's cute. Did she know he tried to kill himself over her? She doubted it. Gabe didn't want to look at her, let alone talk to her. And she did not like that tone of voice she was taking. If it was any sort of important, she could ask for actual details about it later. He'd sworn not to lie.
But now was not the time and place for that discussion. Fake it. Improvise. It's f--
Loud. Senara blinked as the thought slipped through her mind, decidedly not hers.
Oh.
Oh shit. He must be hearing her thoughts. Hers and Arietta's and this random blonde chick stuck to her hip. His "fire" was dimming at a dangerously fast rate and he was not looking good--or sounding good. Shouting that loud when everyone was being quiet did not look good. Alright. Good motivation to get the hell out of dodge before this got any worse. Senara held him a little tighter, and stared at Arietta from over her shoulder.
"Uh, like, yes he told me. I don't like you trying to insinuate--" Whoop, big word for a supposed foreigner, but here we go anyway. "--that he doesn't confide in me? You know, like you said, his girlfriend? The person who's supposed to have the serious conversations with? Here's my rebuttal: why'd you have another talk with him--" Blind guess, but good enough to grasp at. "--after you told me you wanted him outta your life? And why'd you come up to us, too, if that's the case? Why'd you want to talk with me, his girlfriend, and him about our romantic relationship when it doesn't involve you??"
Senara wanted to bite her tongue. She was getting a little too heated. But she needed to scare Arietta away. Scare her off so she could get Gabe out of here. If that meant breaking character a little too hard and too fast then so be it.
It's not like she's worth anything to me.
"How 'bout you take, like, the twenty-something times I asked you to let me handle it to heart and give us some space?! Yeah?! Because right now, we fucking need it."

Arietta was expecting anything, a sort of response that confirmed it. Elise's attempted to be comforting at least kept her from saying anything else, it was better to leave, yeah but... but... if Arietta was right, then Gabe was keeping things from Senara already maybe... maybe their relationship isn't as perfect as it seemed? She was worried- but- at Gabe's voice she very visibly flinches, eyebrows raising- oh- oh. So this is how it was going to be? That... that was an answer within itself, right? So.. so he didn't tell her anything? That... that was all she needed then, suspicious confirme-
Senara started speaking, she was speaking. She was mad, or... at least she sounded mad, but... 'of course he told her'. She was asking why she had another talk with him, as if she was the one to fucking start it- as if... she didn't know what actually went down?! She didn't- a noise left Arietta's throat, a soft giggle, and Aumia let out a squeak. "Oh- I don't know- maybe because his pokemon almost fucking killed me, choked me, pinned me against the fucking wall? I was minding my own buisness on the ferry- and after I almost fucking died I went off because as you said, I wasn't supposed to be talking to him until we got together to talk to him- and he came to me to fucking apologize- which you would have known- if you had spoke to him- which you obviously fucking didn't, Senara.." Her voice was loud, and she forced herself to quiet down, sending a glance around the lobby. She moved to grab Elise's hand now.
Senara was going off now, maybe she was defending her boyfriend, or defending a relationship that she obviously hadn't prepared herself for or- something- Arietta didn't know. "Because you can handle Gabe so well- he was a mess on the ferry- because- because..." She trailed off, "...uhm..." Because of her, speaking to Senara, because... and... he almost, and... She felt sick. She felt really sick. "Did you know your boyfriend.. jumped off a Charizard willingly?" Blunt, really blunt- and it was all because of you, Ara. All because you just... because you missed dancing with hi, and being with him had felt good, and nice, and he was comfortable, and funny- but he was Gabe- "Am I not allowed to be worried about him after seeing him break down on the ferry? You're handling things really fucking shit, if you ask me- distancing yourself, acting cold towards him? He thought you were gonna break up with him- and you were ignoring him?!"
Gabe could get out Liz at any second, something could happen at any second- anything. She swallowed spit, letting go of Elise's hand and taking a step back, they were still embracing- they were still... and... she hurt, why did it hurt? "I just wanted to make sure that he was fine, today- and I saw you and I just thought- she was supposed to message me- there's nothing underlying... there's... there's..." A breath, and she stuffed a hand into her pocket, grabbing her suitcase again. She wasn't going to watch them leave together, she wasn't going to watch him leave again- she wasn't going to- she couldn't handle it, she couldn't. Why? "...I don't understand..." She spoke more to herself then anything, looking between the two.
"I'll give you both space- you have something to talk about now. I'm done- I have a concert to prepare for, so..." And a lot to explain to Elise. Her gaze moved to the girl, away from the other two "...Where's our room...?"
This was getting out of hand. Elise’s eyes flashed form Senara to Arietta and back again several times before finally fixating on Gabe instead. He … didn’t look good now, or so she realized with some clarity granted from not being the one arguing. “Ari??” she squeaked. Arceus what was going on??? “Uh…. Uh… A— WHAT????” Elise shrieked looking as Arietta spoke. “His Pokemon WHAT???” Her eyes flashed to Gabe with accusation and confusion— and promptly started to water right after.
Gabe’s head was buzzing loudly. With every word from either side, the noise only got louder. The floodgates only got weaker. He wanted to says something. He wanted to explain to Senara what happened, get her on the same page, and somehow get out of this mess. But Arietta’s thoughts were swarming like bees, and Senara’s were just adding to the torrent. And then just like that the blonde girl’s spike of worry was the tipping block.
A particular shade of purple would come into Gabe’s aura unlike anything Senara would have seen up to that point. A particular gold would come into his eyes unlike anything Arietta had ever seen. His breath hitched, though, and suddenly it was gone again. Senara would suddenly feel dead weight against her rather than a person completely standing.
She was used to smiling when she was upset, but they'd passed that point of the conversation and gone somewhere where smiling right now would probably not be taken well. But all the same her expression held. No flinching, no shocked gasps, no widening eyes. She kept it locked up--kept her shock and worry and confusion hidden deep. Liz had attacked Arietta? Well wasn't that a shocker, given what she did to Gabe. And she loved Gabe. Honestly that Arietta was alive to tell the tale was more surprising than the fact that the angry little teenager had hit her in the first place.
Still, it would have been nice to know about that before they got to this point. Consistent stories were needed for conning. And from what Gabe had been feeding Arietta--Wow, you're making me out to be the worst girlfriend, good going--it sounded like they'd left a few holes in their stories. And now she had to fill them as frantically as she could.
I need an excuse. Got to use her heart against her.
"Oh well I'm sorry I was in the fucking hospital," she hissed, and pointed at the patch over her eye. Arietta had, like most people Senara tried to one-and-done, only seen Senara with her two "eyes". Even if one was fake Arietta would have been hard pressed to have noticed with all the damn crying. "I've already apologized more than enough to him for that, but it wasn't like I planned to get a pane of glass in my eyeball!! You want to tell me more about how horrible he is for trying to apologize for Liz going after you?! Or about what a shitty girlfriend I am?! I'm not the one calling him a psychopath in my blog posts! YEAH! I looked you up after we talked!! You're a two-faced liar!! It's your fault he tried to kill himself in the FIRST PLACE!!" Oopsie, this was getting a bit heated. "If you really hate him so much, why the hell do you KEEP DRAGGING HIM BACK IN?!"
Oh, that's not what his girlfriend should say. That's more like what I want to say. Oops.
A beat of silence passed. Something flared in the corner of her eye--something brilliant and bright and violet like--
And then Gabe collapsed onto her.

"AH!" Senara let out a completely real shriek of surprise and horror as Gabe dropped like a stone onto her shoulder, and from the space between her hair and her shoulders Baby Girl suddenly slipped out, clicking her teeth in a mix of irritation and confusion. What was with all this yelling? Couldn't a ghost get some sleep? Why had the tall one passed out this time?? Senara ignored her Pokemon and tried to drop to her knees as gently as possible, winding up in almost the inverse of last night--Gabe's arms draped over her shoulders and hers wrapped around his torso. Fear ate at the anger in her face. Oh no. Oh no no no. What was wrong?! Had he overloaded?! She'd tried to be fast but she'd let her anger get the better of her. And now he was unconscious!?
Great. This was going to mean calling an ambulance, even if she knew what caused it. That flash of light had to have been his aura reacting to his powers. Well at least it would get them out of here and far, far away from Arietta and her little pity party.
Baby Girl looked up towards the other girls, hexagon-cut gemstone eyes managing to glare despite their alien appearance. Senara drew in a few quick, shaking breaths. "S-S--" At least she didn't need to act concerned. Hah. Stupid Gabe. "S-Somebody call 112!! Or--or wh-whatever the ambulance is here?! Please!!"

As Elise squeaked out the girls attention turned to her, arceus fuck- uh- uhm... her eyes were watering a little- she'd defo have to explain later uhm, shit. She moving to quickly put a hand on her shoulder, rubbing it slightly. "It's okay, Ellie- i'll explain it later..." Her voice was barely a whisper, as if to assure the girl. Hopefully she'd be able to get away now, especially after just going off...
She was just about to prepare to walk off when Senara's voice broke out, and Arietta turned to face her once again, eyes widening slightly- the fucking hospital? She was- but wouldn''t she have called Gabe so he wouldn't have been concerned?! can you call people when glass is through her eye- why isn't she still in the hospital- don't you need bandages for that!? And then she started going off, and off, and off- and Ara flinched as if she was physically being wounded, hand grasping Elise's shoulder a little tighter with the words. Aumia let out a loud squeak in an attempt to be threatening from her place on Ara's suitcase, but really it was just kinda cute.
She didn't think he was horrible for going after her- if anything that showed that he at least had an ounce of good in him, and she didn't call him a psychopath! That was too many letters for young Arietta! It was just crazy, because- that's what young people do on their blogs, and she was sure she hadn't used the words in a solid year so for Senara to literally read that far back?! And- and she knew it was her fault- she didn't know why, but... Tears bloomed at her eyes, frustrated, angry and she took her hand off Ellie's shoulder and brought it to her chest- she was going to have to defend herself- she couldn't just stand here and let her fucking... go at it- or... or she could...
If you really hate him that much, why do you keepd ragging him back in? Dragging him- but- she- she was- she wasn't dragging him in this was just a bnch of coincidences and- it's- she doesn't... she doesn't hate him, does she? Well... maybe- no? Yes? She was confused, and mad that the girl was making a scene and yelling and Arietta had no idea what to say.
Think, Ari, think! A hand moved to jab under one of her eyes and she fidgited, right. You got this, Ara. Breathe, and... "...i know that i-"
And then Senara shrieked. Confused and shocked she girl cut herself off, taking another step backwards- the fuck?! What the fuck. No seriously; "...w-what the fuck...". She could only watch as the girl dropped to the floor with- is... Gabe unconscious? Wait- why was he- what? Did she do something? Or- is he sick?! Maybe that's why he looked kinda off, but... what? And- there was a mon that had been in her hair that was glaring at them?! Aumia let out her own attempt of a growl, small sparks dancing on her tiny cheeks as she stared at the ghost type.
Ambulance? Amubulance?! It was that bad- uhm- uh- Arietta was shaking, she hadn't realized until now. Fumbling through her pocket she grabbed out her phone and gave it to Ellie, "Uh- uhm- C-call them?! ...and then... then we'll go back to the hotel room?? this- yeah-we should go..."
Elise couldn’t figure out what she was feeling right then??? Panic??? Fear for Arietta?? Confusion over this entire conversation??? Maybe all three and then some that she couldn’t name. She reached one hand up and rubbed her eyes as she felt Ari’s hand on her shoulder. Her gaze flicked sideways to her and then back to Senara and then back again. This was a nightmare?? They needed to?? Like?? Get out of here and do something else???
And then Senara shrieked, and Elise yelped back startled. A hand raised itself to her lips, and she would have blushed in embarrassment had she not been so alarmed and confused. And oh goodness??? Oh gods??? Oh dear oh dear???? One minute, Gabe had been conscious and now he wasn’t. She found the phone being handed to her and immediately dropped it.
Instead, she turned back towards the clerk who had been decidedly ignoring everything and quickly scrambled back over to her. “HELP???” she couldn’t get words out only made gestures out towards the spot they had all been standing in. The clerk fidgeted but immediately seemed to snap into some kind of emergency response training and picked up a phone to dial the correct lines to the nearest emergency services group. Only after that did Elise come scrambling back to Ari and Senara. “Sh-she said they’d be here in five minutes???” she squeaked out as if she hadn’t just heard it from the clerk herself.
Gabe was out but not peacefully, not that his face, form, or figure would show it then. That torrent of thoughts just leaked into his subconscious instead at a … questionably slower rate now.
We're both going to need a steaming cup of Asprin after this, aren't we.
Senara maneuvered the unconscious noodle that was Gabe from her shoulder to resting his head on her legs, keeping his head elevated. She only remembered the real basic shit from those posters they'd keep in school infirmaries. But keeping the head elevated for an unconscious person was a thing, right? Those people probably weren't psychics who were mentally overloaded but, hey, biologically there shouldn't be a problem there. "Mec, nous aurions dû dormir aujourd'hui, non?" She mumbled softly, hand brushing the hair on his forehead back to test for a temperature. Could telepathy give you a fever? What about--oh, bugger. She lifted the collar of his shirt enough to be sure the temporary sutures on his chest wound hadn't busted when he fell onto her. The ugly raw scar still seemed to be closed? It hurt to look at, though, both because she could still see the wound being inflicted, and just because it was on him. Her friend.
Is there anything I can even do?...can I drown out the other voices, if I try??
Gabe, how does telepathy even work?! I should have fucking asked that last night!!
She gently rubbed at his temples, her brow still furrowed tight, her visible eye shining with heavy concern, but she hid it. She shoved it back so her face was a blank, shocked mask. She didn't want to show actual emotion around anyone here...
Anyone...
Oh.
Oh, people had to be looking at them right now. This was making a scene. This was getting attention. Eyes were on them. Whispering. Voices. Pointing. Was anyone saying anything? Sounds were starting to get fuzzy as her rushing blood began to roar in her ears. Ahahahah. No, no no no, she couldn't be the center of attention. She couldn't be. Shouldn't be. Can't be. But there was nowhere to run right now. Not if she didn't want to abandon Gabe. And...and she couldn't, not just because he was resting on her, but...he had done the same for her. She couldn't let it go unpaid. She had to...
My vision's getting blurrier. My stomach feels hot. I can't get enough air.
Just...just...I just have to hold on until they get here...don't look up...don't look at them...

Arietta's phone was dropped and the girl could only stare at it on the floor for a few solid seconds. Aumia squeaked once more, concerned. But it was fine. Things were fine. Arietta bent down to pick it up carefully, looking it over as if it was the most interesting thing in the world, slowly turning it over and ignoring the shaking in her hands. Yep... no cracks. Elise's voice barely registered, Arietta's eyes were still watering ever so slightly- images. Images were important. People were probably looking now, what if she was recognised-
What should she do? She was dragging him back in- was she? No. Senara didn't know her- she just... kept running into Gabe. She hadn't seen Gabe in years, he had been out of her life- it was just the sudden strive for reconnection- it's like what you see in a movie when people get closer after fighting- fighting- the dance- the phone, all the little things adding up- all the stupid chance encounters. Like a moth drawn to a flame Arietta didn't know any better than to play into her needs... But what did she need- why did she need? Ari was lost, and brought her phone up to cover her mouth, a soft whimper leaving her.
It was going to be her leaving now- and Gabe wouldn't see her leaving- and he wouldn't have the chance to leave her again. No leaving. No leaving. She'd be gone, and he'd be able to move on, that's the plan. To move on, and not bother with her, because that's what he needed- because he'd tried to kill himself- because of her- and... with Senara, his girlfriend, he was okay. It was Senara's job to be there-
The words said to her continued to beat around in her head and the girl forced out a ragged breath, finally drawing her eyes to Elise, "Hey...can we go back to the hotel room?" Eyes flicked to Senara, and then back to Elise. "...w-we're not wanted here, or needed..." she paused when talking, squinting at Senara, a pause... she didn't look okay either- maybe it was the stress of something that happened to Gabe- or... her eye things.. or... or- she didn't need Arietta's help. She thought Arietta was a two-faced bitch. Uh- uhm... "Ellie, I don't know what to do- is going back to the hotel room the right thing to do?? Or..."
Elise rubbed her face trying her absolute damndest not to burst into tears on the spot. This didn’t really involve her. This wasn’t about her— But Ari??? But Ari are you ok??? No, she wasn’t, and that was enough for Elise not to be ok.
Looking from Senara and Gabe back to Arietta, Elise set a hand on the arm of the latter. As Ari met her gaze, though, Elise faltered a little. Lips parted and closed. Her head turned, and she was then looking towards the elevator door and then back at Arietta. This was her friend who, whatever she had gotten into, took priority.
One hand took her suitcase. The other grabbed Ari’s hand, and with that, she pulled her along passed Senara and Gabe and to the elevator, dropping the suitcase handle only briefly to slam her fingers into the up button. “Don’t look back,” was all Elise whispered, and as the double doors opened, Elise practically dragged Arietta inside.
Meanwhile, there were numerous people in the lobby walking around to gawk and murmur about when an EMT would arrive. It would be a few minutes later at the very least. Still, with both Ara and Elise out of his mental range, Gabe found a deeper breath coming into him. Not quite consciousness but something.
