Another sip of her tea, until Arietta moved to grab her second cookie, dipping in milk like Elise had done before taking a minuscule bite, rather than stuffing her face like last time. "...g-going up..." She said softly, of course. PNG were on the rise, they were going to get more notice soon enough, and they'd have a bunch more people who could enjoy their music and be entertained. It would be a great scenario. A hiccup left her and she shrugged her shoulder s a little, "I h-hope they continue rising, then- m-maybe, after... the radio, you mentioned that before, right- we'll have... more fans too?"
She was trying here, and took another bit, letting the sweetness of the cookie sink in and calm her some-what. Food... food was good. She liked food. "A- uh- m-merch store sounds great..." Arietta was trying here, though her mind kept flicking to and from thoughts like a channel surfer. "...like... t-shirts- o-or... or are we talking merch as e-extrodinary as- like- uh AKB48- llike... dolls, caps, badges, shirts... p-posters?"
Elise bit her bottom lip. “Yeah… definitely…” she murmured back taking a big drink of milk right after. “We’ll be famous for sure!” And bring joy and happiness and fun to the world! At the question, though, she shrugged her shoulders. “Not sure just yet….” Last she checked, they were still working out a new logo design and t-shirt concept. She really needed to pay more attention to these things, but hers was and would always be the music. The sound, the passion of it all. That was what drove her before anything else!
They talked for a little longer, eating cookies, drinking milk, drinking tea, and slowly but surely Elise was at least feeling a little less jarred and shaken. Slowly moving the platter to the side, she sat closer to Ari again and just … waited a moment before speaking up. “We… I… can listen again if you wanna….” Keep talking. “Where we left off with the uh….” She braced herself for whatever was worse than what she had already heard.
Talking seemed to ease her a little bit, and rather than crying outright she was just simply hiccuping softly, cookies, tea and milk down the hatch and quelling her stomach of unease. Elie got closer again, and then reality set in- right. Right. They were... going back to her explanations, alright, uh... she... she left off with... with... Gabe- leaving- after the dinner, after confessing, after... "...Gabe.. leaving. After the dinner."
At least she didn't stutter? Arietta was sure that was where they last left.off, but that just meant... a deep breath was taken, and the girl leaned slightly against Ellie again, as if preparing herself to speak again. "...So... a few days after that- uhm... a.. girl showed up to the dance studio after a kiddies class, with Gabe's ID asking for him, wanting to give it back- but of course he'd uh- already left the studio and i'd taken him out of the system... and uh..." Hands tightened in her lap, "It... was Senara, actualy- the girl you saw downstairs, Gabe's... internet girlfriend, long distance... stuff..."
She trailed off for a second, then repeated herself. "...His internet girlfriend- who he first met in person Halloween night."
Elise nodded quietly at Arietta’s short words. Yeah that was where she remembered they left off. Her hand reached sideways to clap Ari’s in reassurance. Elise prepared to listen as best she could. A girl showed up at the dance studio— Elise nodded along listening in— Yeah he was…uh… yeah. That made sense— It was Sen—
“Wait what?” Elise blinked a couple of times not comprehending what had just been said. “O-ok???” They’d met on Halloween and then she’d been around or something after? And just so happened to find Ari’s studio to give Gabe back his ID??? “Why… didn’t she just……” Elise’s brows furrowed, and her head tilted to one side. “Give it to him herself?”And like shouldn't she have known about... uh... their situation or???
Elise's shock had Arietta's gaze flicking back to the girls, an eyebrow raising softly as if to say 'i know, right?'. It was crazy- it was crazy. And Arietta had been so confused and concerned. However, as Elise spoke Arietta was equally as confused, blinking as she processed what Elise said- yeah... why didn't she? Arietta mentally went through her first conversation with Senara again, "...She said he wasn't responding to his messages and that she'd been trying to find him everywhere in, uh, Bass..." Yeah, that was right. "A-And she said she had to get home tonight and that she... couldn't keep chasing him, asked me to give it back when he came back before I told her he didn't go her anymore..." there was a pause, "...Why... didn't he tell her about... not going to the studio anymore- said he'd been... talking about the place a lot- the studio- and- that he just... loved dancing so much..."
She brought a hand up to gently bat some hair out of her face, sniffling ever so softly. Senara... had seemed so sweet? So, so innocent. She seemed naive and just like, a great person- she even was out late to give Gabe back his ID? "...and- and when I asked what Gabe was to her and she said internet boyfriend I- like- broke down infront of her... and- and I explained what Gabe told me, halloween, and- I couldn't believe Gabe had never told her about me, if they were dating then... wouldn't it be understandable?" Her voice seemed to be getting louder, and the girl had begun pinching her hair inbetween her fingers now, eyes locked on the strand as she sobbed ever so softly.
"But... but then she said he couldn't help who he loved and- and stuff- and that she wasn't mad at him?" Her voice sounded confused and she shook her head a few times- what else did Senara say to her? What else happened then/ Everything was mixing together and she couldn't piece together everything- think, Arietta, think! "And- she said she was... fine with him... being in love with other people- and she said she didn't think he was trying to hurt me- and then- she- she said... he wasn't cruel..." Arietta let out a loud sigh, moving to tuck her hair behind her ear.
"B-But- she- she- isn't that naive- Ellie?" Ara sounded frustrated now, and stared at Elise with a frustrated expression. "You- Gabe's done so much shit to me- who's to say he wouldn't do the same to Senara?! He left a defenseless teenage girl in fucking ivy town- i-in ivy town after breaking her spirits- and he broke my phone and he isolated me from all of you- and- and he-" She cut herself out as her breath shuddered and she brought her lips together. Ahhhhh, ah she was getting too worked up. The girl tilted her head back slightly and brought a finger to press under her eye, stopping whatever tears were welling up. She was fine. She hadn't even gotten to ivy town.
"S-She said he's changed... and- and I- I guess- I could see that- uhm... uh..." No uhs! Be certain of what you're saying! This is no time to shut up, Ellie's here, and her presence alone was a comfort. Her being here to listen as she went off. "And... she said it's fine if she gets hurt- and- she called me a kind person- a-and she said she wanted his address so she could slip it in the mailbox and that she's still getting used to the timezone-" She was rambling now, welcome back Arietta. She brought her head forward slightly and a few strands of her fell with her, framing her face with a sorrowful shadow. "...She wanted... to handle talking to him but- but- b-but there was... so much that needed to be said and- and- i'd wanna be there too- to... to... to confront him- It just..."
A whimper,"...I...I didn't... wanna... n-not see him... again..."It was said so softly it could have been mistaken out loud, and as soon as it was said she continued forward as if she hadn't said it in the firtplace, a switch to the next part of her story. "S-So so said- when- when she came back- that- we'd both talk to Gabe- together- clear the air and h-have everything settled- because- because... Ellie- I... he.. he loved me, while... while he had... Senara- and- doesn't that...isn't... it" Her breath hitched and all she could manage out was, "...Like... Shea?"
Elise’s lips pressed together. Something about this wasn’t adding up, and but she didn’t know what. It itched at the back of her mind, but she couldn’t quite scratch it. Her free hand reached up and scratched the side of her head before feeling down through her hair and pulling at it gently.
Senara had been looking to drop off an ID at a dance studio Gabe hadn’t told her he quit. Doesn’t he have like a house or something? Couldn’t she just leave it under the door?? Ok maybe he didn’t have a house, though? A lot of trainers or whatever didn’t seem to. But then why not like a Pokemon center or something? Was she thinking too hard on this? Maybe….
The follow up only added to this weird itch in the back of her mind. The whole dating thing sounded…off…. Really off. But am I being judgmental?? Should she check her bias or?? Was this really just a case of a polyamory that was getting confused in the confines of Ari’s story, or was it really that muddled and confusing and….Off. It felt off, and Elise didn’t know wh— Oh. No. Elise did know why now that she thought about it. That explosion what felt like only moments ago was coming back to mind again. She said after, right? Or…. Elise scratched the side of her head again a little harder now. It doesn’t sound right.
And of course, she couldn’t forget the star player of evil himself. Elise frowned at the mention of Gabe and gave a sagely nod at Arietta’s words regarding him. “Right!” was the agreement. She frowned and huffed a little at the insistence that he’d changed. From the sound of it, he hadn’t, hmph. But uh— Wait. Time zones? But … hadn’t that accent been…er…uh… Uh???? And and and….. Confronting Gabe sounded like a horrible idea right then, but of course hindsight was 20/20.
“….” Concern pulled across Elise’s features. There was already so much to unpack here, but that last bit hurt in a weird way. Maybe just her natural empathy kicking in and making this difficult. “W-well….” Elise’s gaze slowly flicked forward to the TV, but her hand reached sideways to clasp Ari’s a little tighter than before. A slow breath drew in and out of Elise, and she pulled her hair a little with her free hand.
“It sounds really complicated.” That was the understatement of the year, but Elise was going with it. “And ….” Breathe in, breath out. Elise’s head turned, and her eyes fixed on Ari’s again. “It…. It honestly…. Er… at least a lot of the stuff with Senara…. Sounds…” Elise frowned. She was going to sound judgmental or something worse, but she needed to get it off her chest. “It sounds really… fake… contrived… not… quite real…” She glanced forward again and frowned. “I mean it could be… or even parts of it could be but…” She pulled at her hair again and forced herself to keep speaking. “Senara showing up not knowing Gabe stopped going and then all of that stuff after…. And what was ….. was going on now it. It doesn’t seem right. And not like… not like it’s not right relationship wise but like it’s a lie they’re making up??” But why?
Elise bit her bottom lip and looked down at hers and Ari’s hands. “I…. sorry. It could be real I just… it doesn’t feel right…..you know? And the way Senara reacted was...er…. like just… a little bit ago didn’t uh… seem like????” Seem like what, Elise? Seem like what? Color drew on Elise’s features, and she shook her head into silence.

As Elise seemed to piece together what she said in her head Arietta was patient, keeping her lips pressed together to avoid more sobs, instead letting thick tears trek down her cheeks. Arceus- even if her mascara was waterproof surely it wouldn't be able to hold with all the crying she's done. As Ellie clasped at her hand, Arietta squeezed back a moment, happy for the comfort it brought. As she slowly began to speak, almost cautiously Arietta watched her, blinking every few seconds to ensure her eyes didn't blur up.
Her words... were confusing. But it made sense, Arietta's had been. Ellie was right, it was something really complicated. But she was touching on the Senara stuff, which was great- until she said... it sounded fake? Arietta found her eyes locked with Ellie's and sniffled, arching a brown in soft confusion. "W-Wai-" Ellie kept speaking, and Arietta fidgeted with the fabric of her tracksuit in quiet deliberation. Ellie... wasn't wrong. It was unusual, but she'd sounded so convincing, so full of heart- but again that snapped all at once too, hadn't it?
She pushed a finger from her free hand up to gently wipe at her cheeks then, needing to do something in order to distract herself. It was completely weird- hell Senara didn't even know Arietta, and yet Gabe spoke to her freely about the dance studio and how much he loved it, without bringing up the person who got him working there in the first place. And Arietta had thought she'd found out a loophole with... Senara not being told about the ferry, but... if she was in the hospital... then...
"...No, you're right..." She said it softly, squeezing Ellie's hand once more and attempting to give her the best smile she could muster up in that moment. "I... I... Senara seemed like a lovely girl- but... it's g-gotta be weird that she didn't know her boyfriends address, yet she was in his city, to visit him..." She trailed off for a second and let her thoughts linger a moment, trying to find the right things to say. "...and...the way she just... snapped earlier- seemed- so out of character- on one hand she called me a k-kind, lovely girl and then she turned around and called me a two... faced bitch- but... b-but i'd give them the benefit of the doubt- because.... because..."
Arietta too shook her head slightly, before leaning backwards and letting herself flop once more on the bed, Ellie's hand still held in her grasp. "...There's no logical r-reason as to... as to why they'd be lying- or m-making up a fake relationship- especially a-at the hotel, nobody was there to see them except m-me and..." she paused, "...if they were faking it... w-why would it... be around me? In the m-movies it's like a switch, like they're normal then the target comes and they switch into f-fake mode, but, there's no reason to... around me- and- and if it... that- doesn't that just make it h-harder for Gabe?"
Arietta cloed her eyes then, huffing softly, "B-Because it... makes him out like... a r-really... really really bad person- not just bad-bad- b-but like- he... he was keeping stuff from Senara, a-and he didn't go to the hospital to see her after her eye accident and... and..."
Elise bit her lower lip and said nothing as she waited for Arietta to process her words. As she spoke reaffirmation, though, a slow breath escaped from Elise followed by a nod more to herself than to Ari. She was glad it… didn’t add up for someone else too. “But!” She started and immediately stopped as Ari gave Senara the benefit of the doubt. But who whipped around like that and just??? All she could do was frown.
Elise shifted a little as Ari leaned back and flopped on the bed. Folding her knees sideways, she leaned on one hand and continued to hold Ari’s with the other. That… that was true. She couldn’t …. think of a reason why Senara and Gabe, individually or together, would have been lying— except to mess with Ari maybe…But??? “I d-don’t know,” Elise squeaked looking forward and down at her knees. “I just… it doesn’t make sense…” Something felt off, wrong, not good in a different way than just not good. Elise shook her head a couple of times. “Sorry I just…. Sorry.”
Arietta shook her head a few times as Elise apologized, "No- it's fine Ellie- you're just as... clueless as me- and you make a point... i-it's all so... weird..." The girl squeezed Eise's hand a little, moving to stare above her at the roof, at the peculiar tiling of the ceiling plates... leave it to the hotel for being fancy. "But- yeah- anyway- then we get to..."Ivy town. Arietta's form seemed to still for a moment, even thinking of the incident made her feel just, really sick.
"...I had to collect supplies for the dance studio that day." She started it like she started any other, attempting to sound strong, like she knew exactly what she was talking about. "And the only way I could get... there... was by Ferry- a Ferry I hadn't been on since...' She trailed off. Her avoidance of ferry town was well known to all the girls, and she'd only just gotten over all it was associated with. "S-Since him... and- and i'd just been... walking- I had Calando and Fi-Fi- and- and I.. I forgot what we were doing- I was about to make a call because- they'd included a bit about Gabe in the magazine that was published- fro- the thing I described before- before the dinner..." She was jumping all over the place and clearly uncomfortable, arceus save her. "...And...out of... nowehere a... a charmeleon- saw me, and,.. it... it rushed up to me, and- by the neck- the wall- f-fingers- my throat- claws- claws digging in- the smell- smoke- smoke- s-so smokey- and- nobody- did anything- I- couldn't breathe- grip tightening- I couldn't breathe- I- and- and I could smell- she was- and- Gabe- and Gabe tackled- and- a-and..." She just burst into tears, unable to finish what she was saying, whatever dam the girl had been holding back broke and she practically threw herself at Elise, arms wrapping around the girl and head burrowing into her shoulder, violent sobs leaving her.
Elise smiled weakly and nodded her head. Not very helpful to fuss about it too much in this case— especially when they had so much more to do still. Goodness. Elise said nothing, just waited. A soft “Oh…” escaped from her as she learned the background details. By the ferry…. Oh…. Oh dear. Even as Arietta trailed off, Elise filled in the gaps. Had she not been leaning on her free hand, Elise would have been pulling her hair.
And it only got worse. Elise paled as Ari spoke. “By the neck….” she breathed, her lips parted, her eyes wide. Ari was stumbling over her words, but Elise wasn’t helping. Her eyes had watered, and a low shaky noise escaped from her. As Ari sat up and tackled her, Elise couldn’t halde the shift in weight and went flopping awkwardly on the bed instead. Hugging her arms tightly around Ari, though, Elise did her best to be comforting. “Ariiiiiiiii…..” Elise was crying too now, probably unhelpfully.
Arietta just sobbed, probably looking a real, true-blue mess. Eyes puffy, cheeks wet and buried into Elise's shoulder in an attempt to hide her stupid emotions. Elise's arms were warm and comforting, and Arietta didn't dare move, her hands instead fisting the fabric in her jacket tightly in order to hold something. She could feel Elise crying- arceus she could hear it, and that just made Arietta even more upset- she didn't want her friends to be upset, let alone herself.
Whimpering ever so softly she mumbled against Elise now, "It- it hurt- so bad- and- and- it was... so bruised- and I had to go to the doctors- even had a week of therapy just to- ensure my voice was still- and- a-and- and- he- he- went after me- after Liz was- away- and- and..." She couldn't make words happen and just sobbed more. "And- and he apologized- Elise- and- and- he- I... I don't- I don't... and- he- I- he-" Words definitely didn't work, and so the girl just let herself collapse against Elise again.
Elise hugged Arietta tighter still. She had never known the terror of a near death experience, but the secondhand feelings off of her friend were enough. Amongst all of what she was feeling, though, one thing persisted: Why didn’t you say anything about this until now? Why did you wait? Ari aren’t we friends??? But Elise swallowed those concerns for now and pushed them down deep inside. She was just crying for Ari not because of Ari.
All Elise could do was hold Arietta. Some part of her had acknowledged, accepted, the fact that there was nothing she could say or do to be comforting in this exact instance. Elise hugged her tighter and tried her best to try and get ahold of herself again. “I can’t believe him!” she blurted out. “How could he just sick his Pokemon on you like that???” Of course that was what Elise’s mind had jumped to in the jumbled mess that was Arietta’s story.
The brunette just sobbed, for lack of anything actually substantial to do or say. Tears welled and pooled at her eyes with no foreseeable sigh of stopped, body practically limp in Elise's embrace. Arietta was too far gone to care about her makeup, or if her crying sounded grotty, she was terrified, and scared, and hurt, and tired, and a bunch of other emotions that she couldn't pinpoint at this time.
As Elise's voice resounded in her ears, Arietta forced herself to open an eye, wincing momentarily and sniffling as her eyelashes fought to pry apart against the tears binding them closed. "...he...he didn't even see me- the pokemon j-jus-attacked- because... b-because... he... I...." The girl was stumbling again, and moved a hand that'd been clutching to Elise for dear life to hold at her nose and rub away anything gross. "He- I told you- tried to- kill himself- jumped- uh- he-he- and- I don't- why??"
W-what? Elise’s own eyes were wide, owlish, unfocused. Her hands had dropped slightly as Ari pulled away. He jumped… Somehow, that hadn’t clicked until that moment, and now color was coming to Elise’s features. How could he just… But why. And and and…. Elise shook her head trying to clear it. It felt like she was missing something here, and she just didn’t know what.
“Why would…..” her cheeks puffed and flattened again. “That’s …. That’s stupid though!” She huffed and squeaked at the same time. “That’s just…. that’s just really selfish of him!” How else did she… could she… describe that even?
Arietta's hands moved to push at her eyes now, in an attempt to stop the tears that frankly wasn't too effective, seeing that the tears refused to stop falling. Her voice was meek, raw, probably barely audible at this point, but she wasn't looking to Elise as she spoke, tiny words leaving. "...yeah..." to what she was agreeing to, even Ara wasn't sure. Was it stupid? Was it selfish- well- kinda... but- still... "he... h-he said he wouldn't- jump... again... b-because his pokemon 'wouldn't choose anybody over him'" A hand left her eyes to make air quotations, and she closed her eyes again with a weak excuse for a sob-choked laugh leaving her.
"it- it was fucking idiotic- wasn't it- to- to just-" She shook her head a few times and opened her eyes, sniffling softly. Fuck. "...h-he apologized for... the ivy town incident- a-and said- he said it was- uh because he... wanted to be free of h-his mum, and... stuff- and said he forgave me for... l-like stuff..." Her head fell back slightly, blurry eyes focusing on the ceiling above her for a few moments, a shuttering sob leaving her. "How can he- he tell me to go to hell- t-then- then turn around and act so... I don't- and- why?" She pressed her sleeve to her cheek in an attempt to push away tears, shaking more and more, "And- and he said he would have- broken up w-with Senara... for me... a-and said he'd never s-speak to me and Senara together- and- a-and-and he- said- dance was our thing- and- uh..."
Arietta at least wasn't hardcore sobbing anymore, and ever so gently shifted to lean against Elise once more. "...said... S-Senara had been acting cold towards him l-lately- and- and she didn't say what was wrong- he thought she was going to-"
Arietta pauses, blinking a few more times- hang the fuck on wait a fucking second. "Wait- waitwaitwait- she'd been... acting c-cold towards him before the surgery- and yet she- yelled at me... there w-was definitely a fight- and- and she got defensive because.. I was right- maybe her hospital w-was a thing- but- i.... maybe... I don't..."
Elise’s lips pressed hard into a fine line. Her eyes were wet again already, but because of what exactly, she didn’t know. There was so much. There’s so much. Where did, how did, why did…. Any of this begin? Elise hugged around Arietta but couldn’t find any words to say. She just listened as best she could.
….That was, at least, until Ari came to some kind of conclusion. “H-huh???” Elise frowned not following now. “…What do you… mean?” More things not adding up? More of this not making sense? More confusion than either of them knew what to do with?
Elise wasn't following. Arietta shook her head a few times, mumbling, "I-It's... just..." her head flopped again Elise once more, nose scrunching in confusion as she attempted to find the words to say. "In-Inconsistencies? L-Like, you brought up the thing before a-and- and that's got me thinking- m-maybe i'm just... just overthinking, or trying d-desperately to sour something that shouldn't be soured because some part of m-me really d-doesn't want t to be true..." She brought a hand to push under her eye again to stop stray tears, unsure exactly how to word her thoughts.
She spoke slower now, shifting a little so she could meet Elise's gaze and wasn't so tightly held in her arms. "H-He said... she'd been acting cold t-towards him before she began ignoring him..." She brought a finger up in a 'wait' position, as she tried to word her mental thoughts coherently. "....and... w-when she yelled at me, she said she was acting that w-way due to the eye surgery, and ignored h-him because she was in the hospital at that time- but... the acting could s-sounded like it'd been festering enough for Gabe to j-just... break down completely- t-that doesn't happen in a day!"
Arietta was very tempted to get up and start moving, that helped her brain work, but Ellie was comfy and that was a surefire way for Arietta to lose her balance. "...A-And... she'd been reading my blogs- and- s-said I was a two faced...bitch...maybe- m-maybe behind my back she'd been s-saying stuff which is what made Gabe wanna jump?! Like oh 'Gabby' look at this post your old beloved posted, che peccato- oh wait she... doesn't speak- s-she speaks uh- Kalosian..." A hand gently falls upon the covers of the bed and she shakes her head again a few times. "I-It was so bad he thought she was going to b-break up with him, Ellie. A-And she acts like...I just... somethings not right- and- w-would she have his address? At the dance studio- she n-needed to get it from me but, if they were dating- and if he's visited her place before t-then...."
Elise frowned and reached up to tug at a lock of hair. She thought back again to what had been said and tried once more to piece it together again. So…. uhm… Gabe and Senara met on Halloween? And then later Senara came by the dance studio looking for Gabe’s address? No wait, there was something else, but she couldn’t actually remember what it was now. Close enough…. And then she was ok with Gabe liking other people and then…. Gabe saying he she was acting cold to him and…. That…. none of that was making any sense??? Unless maybe she had lied about it being ok to like other people? And faked it and then that other stuff happened? But then she said she was in the hospital and????
And then there was the whole thing with Senara… and …. And….And maybe she had been saying something??? Elise was too far removed from this to know, but it sounded feasible? “But…..” Elise’s brows furrowed together as she recalled Senara blaming Ari for it. But she could just be lying too…. And then why would he break down like that anyways??? Ugh, this was too hard. Elise was no detective. Her face scrunched up as she tried and failed to think. So bad that he thought she was going to break up with him…. But… She clearly cared about him??? Earlier??? Didn’t she??? And everything seemed???? Er????
“Maybe… maybe it is the distance???” she ask-stated awkwardly. “Like… like you said er she said that they were online bf-gf??? So like….. maybe they were…. trying to meet in neutral places first?? In person??” That would explain why Senara didn’t know where his house was, exactly, right? “And like he mentioned the studio before??” Before he left or whatever? “And… and like maybe if they’re just communicating like in text it lead to a lot of like… misunderstanding?” Elise was aware she was using the word ‘like’ too much but had no idea how to quit doing so at that point. “B-but….I dunno… it sounds…. Messy….” Either way, she couldn’t fathom it well. “Maybe you should just…. like….” Elise shrugged her shoulders and then shook her head.
Arietta nodded slightly as Elise brought forward her own idea, sniffling ever so softly and pushing her already messy locks slightly to the side in an attempt to keep her hands moving. "...Maybe... maybe..." she couldn't feasibly understand anything, maybe she was too emotional at the moment, but something didn't sit right- maybe the food she'd scarfed down. Should she give them the benefit of the doubt, or did Senara yelling at her and suddenly transforming into optimus prime (he was the bad guy right??? ari doesn't watch the movie but he's a transformer!) from her pure buggy-car form... Arietta wasn't that good with metaphors- moving on!- change things?!
As her friend triled off Arietta tilted her head slightly and brought a fist to scrub at her eye, "....L-Like... confront them?" That... that was a bad idea?? Or was it? Maybe she'd be able to understand things and get that two-faced bitch one cleared up, arceus knows Senara wouldn't bring anything about what they had to talk about up now, but on the other hand... the thought of seeing them again made her head hurt, and... her heart? "...confront them?" She repeated it again, as if she couldn't wrap her head around the idea.
Elise bit her lower lip. She had been about to say ‘let it all go’ because did they really want to mess with this any more than it was already messed with (and so so so messy to begin with?) but then Ari said that and it sounded …. “Uh….” Elise felt the side of her face and then into her hair gently tugging on it. “It… it would be better than… like… constantly running into them?” she ask-stated back. From the sounds of it, that was what half this mess was, so maybe taking control of it really was the answer??? “Or… or just…. uh… I dee kay…. Like finding a way to track them to avoid them???” Was that an option?
