Arietta was barely paying attention, fingers flying, she was typing like a beast. Once her mind was settled, all her energy was focused on index pads meeting letters and emojis. She almost flinched as Ellie spoke- oh- season finale? Her gaze was brought up, at least to see a girl trying on a cute dress, and she paused, blinking... oh... oh... that was cute... She sniffled. "...I wanna be like that one day..." A sigh left her, and she was back to texting. 

Message after message would be sent, back to back, with no end in sight until three huge paragraphed texts were sent. And you damn well know you're in for a ride when the very first one starts with:

'@everyone guys im in my own personal movie but its not like a cute romcom 💖😏💖 it's actually like one of those tearjerker dramas 😱 or maybe its an action because i got choked out by a charmeleon 💀🤭- sPOILERS- anyway- so, lemme tell you the plot... 💁‍♀️'

The episode would have finished, and Arietta would be curled up on the end of the best, phone discarded, and would flop, exhausted into Elise's side. At least she wasn't crying anymore, but she was drained, emotionally and otherwise. "...You're such a supportive friend..." was mumbled then, softly, and she peered up at Elise with a half smile, "Sorry if.. I was too much... i'll talk to you girls more... i-it's just been a lot to stomach and I didn't wanna put you all into my chaos when I can't even handle it..."

Arietta’s voice had Elise biting her lower lip. She wanted it too, so badly. Hopefully Tony would propose soon! She settled into watching all the while her phone pinged with messages from the group chat. After a little of that, she decided to silence it— for now at least. She’d already heard it. She could read the recap later…

As the episode ended and Ari leaned against her, Elise was pulled from her thoughts again. A hand reached around and hugged her friend sideways. As Ari spoke, though, Elise felt her eyes prick a little. “J-just…. know we’re here for you, ok?” she looked back at Arietta agin. “It doesn’t m-matter what! Don’t shut us out again… ok???” she was almost begging. Almost. “I… I know I don’t have a lot of the answers but… but we’re friends so….” She took in a breath and nodded to herself. So yeah.

At Elise's words Arietta found herself nodding, even if it was something she couldn't promise. There was.. a lot she still couldn't tell them, obviously. But it was for the protection of the idol image! Arietta moved to lean closer, grabbing Elise's hand and locking their pinkies together. "If... something chaotic or bad happens to me from here on out, i'll make sure to let you all know." Her smile felt a little more genuine, even if her face was a mess, even if she felt sick still- even if her phone was buzzing from messages with the other girls. "..I... k-know you're all here for me- but- i'll be here for you guys! Too- I mean- i'm still r-relationship guru Ara!"

A pause, and then she tilted her head, "So... tell me more about you and Tony..." and it went like that. A subject change, an end of discussion style change. She couldn't bare with much more of it, after all. She knew she'd get more from the girls when they arrived, so for now she just wanted... normal. And normal was how the rest of her time with Elise went- or so she assumed.
