The group starts filing in, and you see it's a rather large family! Once they have all gathered and sat down, they start talking about drinks and what they want to eat. Better get those drink orders in quickly and see if they want some appetizers or something!
Tiara was almost frantic, it's one thing having to take over a job she was never trained for on the fly because a bunch of the waitresses called in sick and it was another alltogether to tackle a busy dinner rush with 12 people. At Koray's sudden voice the girls attention turned to him, eyes wide. Right, yeah, calm. "I don't understand why they couldn't have called in another waitress... I wasn't trained for this- but i'm trying my best!" Were the words she found herself saying as she gestured to the tables and tried to set out the cutlery properly.
She had to remember Koray was in the same boat as her- it was fine. Right! She just had to... try her best! With that in mind she worked with Koray to set up the rest of the table before they came in, and gave him her best Tiara smile, she was gonna do this. As the table was filled Tiara made herself busy for a moment to give them time before coming over with menu's. It wasn't a party of teens, thank arceus, it seemed to be a family!
Throwing on her best Tia smile Tiara took a breath... right. okay. "Hello! Welcome! Do you guys have your orders ready? Drinks? Let me start with the gentleman in the corner!".
At Tiara's almost frantic words, Koray smiled encouragingly. He understood exactly where she was coming from considering he wasn't trained to be a waiter either. Normally, he didn't interact with the public much and stayed in the kitchen where he knew where everything was and what he was supposed to do. It was fast paced certainly, but something he'd grown accustomed to over time. "You're doing great, Tiara. All you can do is your best, just keep it up," Koray replied, nodding in response.
When it seemed that Tiara was a little calmer, Koray would approach the table, aware that Tiara had already started to ask about the drinks. Very well, he'd get started asking about appetizers. It seemed they'd be working together on this table, that would be good, especially when it came to carrying the drinks out. Between the two of them, Koray was certain they would get through this table without a hitch. Well, hopefully at any rate.
"Welcome, my name is Koray and this is Tiara. We will be your servers for the evening. While my colleague gets the drink orders, shall I start you off on a few appetizers?" The family seemed pleased by the tag team. It would be a good way to get both drinks and appetizers out rather quickly. Or at least that was the general idea.
As soon as the family had given their orders, Koray met Tiara back in the kitchen after he'd given the kitchen staff the appetizer order. It still felt weird not being on the other side working with food, but he was getting better at this. Or at least it felt like it. "Let me know when the drinks are ready, I can help you carry them to the family. We can work together to make sure this family's experience is the best. Just relax~, the evening's almost over."
You collected the orders for drinks and appetizers.... but as you get back to fill them, you find one of the drink machines is busted. Should you go back and ask for their second choice? Bring them water? Something?? When you get that figured out, you bring out at least what drinks were offered but... trip immediately in front of the family.
Koray's words were nice, but they did nothing for the dishwasher, who just awkwardly smiled at him. Her best wasn't good enough if she mucked up, but still, she would try! She was nice, and polite to the guests, and as Koray introduced them and they gave off their drink orders Tia was quick to jot them down, needing to ask only once for repeats! She was getting the hang of this all, right?
She got back to the kitchen first, and Koray was there after a beat or two as she got her orders straight, ready to go to the drink station "Alright... I'll, uh, go prepare the drinks then!" Was her... very unprofessional response! But can you blame her? She was quick to head to the drink station and begin pouring, only to realise part way through the glasses that... there was no coke.
Oh. Oh no. What did she do?! What was the best way to go about this? She... could probably jsut tell them and give them offers of various other soft drinks, and bring out a jug of water as compensation- probably after bringing in the rest though- yeah. Okay. That sounded like the best bet. Drinks set out on trays Tia wormed her way over to where Koray was, nodding back at the drink station, "I've got them all poured, let's get them out there, right?"
She grabbed her own trey and gestured to the other. Balance was key- maybe Tiara wasn't the best at balancing things but! For the most part she was okay, moving to put beverages down- up until she got to the child who didn't have their coke. As Tiara neared them she spoke, "So, unfortunately we don't have coke available, would you b-"
Her voice cut off as her foot got caught on the chairleg of a grandmother, who's chair had been pushed out a bit too far. The girl let out a squeak and- oh- oh she and her tray were falling. Tiara was going down. Graceful! Graceful! Knees! Thankfully she'd handed out all her drinks and managed to not land face first. there was a few glasses she had brought meant for the water pitcher she was going to bring out next that toppled to the floor, only two smashing! But!
"A-Ah! I-I'm so sorry- uhm- yeah- give me a moment?" In her shock, all she could do was stay there a beat, blink and... uhm... There was a helpless glance sent to Koray as she attempted to gather the cups that hadn't shattered..

Koray nodded at Tiara, smiling encouragingly all the while. So far everything had been going smoothly, or at least for him. Unfortunately, not everything was going smoothly and the drink machine was broken, something he'd heard about after the fact. Right, no matter, most customers were quick to forgive if an explanation was given. He would've suggested asking for the replacement orders before carrying the tray out but nodded anyway. "Certainly, I got this tray. Do you have yours?" Koray asked, waiting for confirmation before heading back outside with his tray in hand.
A nod would be given at Tiara's question, gesturing for her to lead the way. In hindsight, maybe he should have gone first. The moment Tiara started to fall, Koray could only watch as he was still handing the drinks out. It was a small mercy that there wasn't any liquid spilled on the carpet though broken glass was enough of a hazard in and of itself. Rowan, bring a dustpan please, Koray thought, his mind reaching out to the Phantump that had been helping out in the kitchen up until that point. The shiny Phantump was quick to appear on the scene, giving Tiara a concerned coo before handing the dustpan off to Koray. A small smile would be given as he pet the Phantump, giving him a wave goodbye as Rowan disappeared into the kitchen again.
Bending to clean up the glass, Koray gave Tiara a soft, encouraging smile, "Accidents happen, it's alright," he murmured softly, making quick work of cleaning up the glass before shifting the dustpan to one hand and offering Tiara a hand to stand. He would make sure that Tiara was alright before turning to the family, "Apologies for the accident. We'll bring more glasses out pronto. And as for you, young man~," Koray started, bending to the child that didn't have a drink yet due to the mix up, "The gremlins decided to steal the coke away. How would you like a chocolate shake instead? With whipped cream and a big cherry on top?" Eyes glanced over to the family who seemed to be smiling so he continued, chuckling at seeing how wide the child's eyes were.
"I'll be back shortly with the shake and some more glasses, Tiara, would you like to check on the appetizers after bringing the water out?" Koray asked, hoping that the retreat to the back room would be enough to help her calm down once again. As for him? He was going to make the shake personally and have it be extra special. Rowan was already asked to set aside one of the biggest cherries he could find. What could have been a disappointment just made the child's day. That was enough.
The family gives you a mix of confusion and alarm, but luckily it's out of concern rather than anger. The grandmother apologizes profusely and asks if you are alright. After everything gets cleaned up they have settled down again.
Koray Starr The child pouts, but his mom at least is nice enough to suggest that he should probably just drink a lemonade instead anyways.
Thankfully they weren't mad! Tiara tried her best to get her bearings, eyes flicking to Koray as she registered her voice. Yeah, right. As long as the table of people didn't get mad at her, everything was okay! Of course, Koray knew just what to do when there was a spill or an accident, and as such before she had the chance to blink he was on cleaning up with his shiny pokemon and offering her a hand up, which she gladly took, dusting off her waitress outfit and... as much as she wanted to help further clean up, it really seemed the pokemon had it all in the bag.
At the grandmothers words Tiara attempts her best reassuring smile, "It's alright ma'am, it isn't your fault!" A chipper smile was given to her as she bowed her head, "Thank you for your cocnern, i'm good." That was kind enough for a waitress, right? Tiara wasn't a girl who had to deal with customers so... she really hoped so.
As Koray dealt with the drink situation and asked her to check on the appetisers after bringing out the water she nodded, scurrying off and taking the moment back in the kitchens to take a breather. Arceus save her, she wasn't fit to be a waitress. The pithcer of water was gathered and delivered, as well as backup glasses, where Tiara apologized once more, and then she returned to the kitchen to check on the appetisers.
As soon as Koray was assured that Tiara was ok, he made quick work cleaning up the mess with Rowan's help. The suggestion to change the drink to a lemonade was met with a nod. Either way he would make sure that there was no charge given the situation. Maybe he'd revisit the shake idea again once the family was ready for desserts. He was thankful that the mother was quick to come to his aid given how fussy it seemed the child could've become.
Instead of seeking out a cherry, Rowan would be redirected to help the other chefs like the Phantump had been doing previously. Koray retrieved the lemonade and delivered it to the child before going to check on Tiara again. It seemed at least the water pitcher was delivered without a problem and if the appetizers were ready, he knew she could deliver those on her own. In the meantime, he would go see what the status was on the food. Usually, the kitchen liked to deliver the entrees separate from the appetizers but sometimes they got sent out at the same time. It was better safe than sorry. If it got sent out at the same time, then it was best to make sure he was available to help.
