Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. The Pokeballs called out each Arcanine’s approval, one after the other, and something in Gabe’s heart tightened over and over and over again. Before he realized it, Gabe found Ruby licking his cheek, staving off some unexpected emotion. Shifting and looking sideways at her, Gabe smiled instead. “Looks like you have some new pack mates, Ruby….” he spoke softly reaching up and ruffling her fur. The Arcanine grinned and wagged her fluffy tail! She did! Climbing on her back again, Gabe rode once more on to Hickory Town. |
