Words: 172 | Tag: --- | Notes: --- While Koray already had a Litwick, he thought it would be nice to get Elanor a friend or even see if one of his other friends wanted one. Maybe Ara could use one. Whatever the case, Elanor was certainly looking forward to seeing another one of her species. Freda was by his side this time, alert and keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings. The large Absol was a sweetheart, but did tend to take things just a little too far at times. Her heart was in the right place though, and Koray knew that.
"Do you see anything?" It hadn't been all that long since they'd started out after all. The wind was picking up though and Koray worried that Elanor would start to panic. Last time they'd been in a wind storm she hadn't taken to it too well... Hopefully they would be on their way back home before the wind got too bad, but Koray had no way of knowing when that would be. |

Words: 173 | Tag: --- | Notes: --- Freda saw the Litwick before anyone else did and stepped in front of Koray, lowering herself in a battle ready stance. The Litwick seemed to stop and leer at the Absol, not one to give up so easily. He was interested in the other Litwick, not a battle hungry Absol, hmph. Putting a hand on Freda's head, Koray managed to calm the Absol briefly. Well, that was before she used a Future Sight. The Litwick narrowed his eyes in response to the move and used Smog, clearly not put off by the move now threatening him.
"Easy Freda, don't go overboard now..." Koray tried to caution only to hear the familiar tune of a Perish Song. Damn. Why was it always all or nothing with Freda? Now it not only put the Litwick in danger, but he was fairly certain that Elanor and Freda were in trouble too. Without wasting any time, Koray threw a pokeball, hoping that it would stop this before things spiraled out of control. |

Marcus ventures out onto route 6 a short way, having heard of the presence of a swarm of litwick, and hoping to catch the tail end of it. That kind of opportunity didn't come around very often, of course, and it would not do to waste it. He spends a few hours wandering the lowlands to the north of the route, not wanting to venture too far south with the poor preparations he had currently made. This was just a short scouting mission before made to claim a fleeting opportunity, not a proper expedition between towns; that would come later. The wind was bad but it could be much worse. He'll weather it just fine.

After a few hours searching, Marcus finds a small Litwick sitting in a crack between two rocks. The high winds have left it shivering, it's flame guttering and nearly out. The poor thing is not having a nice time, with nearly all of it's friends having moved on by this stage of the swarm. It's cold and alone, and trying to hide.
Marcus approaches the small thing slowly and carefully. "Oh dear, you poor thing. I can't imagine who would want to leave a pretty little thing like you all alone." He's careful to be slow, and not startle the poor thing. It has nowhere to run, after all. After a few minutes of quietly moving closer to the Pokemon, he pulls out a pokeball. "If you join my team, I promise we'll never leave you alone like this. Even if you don't travel with us, I promise you'll still have friends to live and train with. How does that sound?" He holds the ball out towards the litwick, inviting it to move forward.

There were supposed to be litwick here, right? Something about the haunted mansion's masquerade ball and the ghosts deciding to wander south.
At any rate, they were a nice pokémon. Not the 'kind' meaning of the word, but one that Alistair appreciated the aesthetic of, at the least; and, well, a litwick or few would definitely help to set the atmosphere of a tea shop, and could help him cook things until then.
It was a shame he'd waited so long to go south of Birch to look, though. There were very few signs the ghost pokémon had been through here at all, though he did eventually stumble upon one.
