There weren't a lot of prime opportunities for Elizabeth to have a moment for her own purposes. She didn't really like those moments, in all fairness? She'd rather be talking to her friends, meeting fans, or busying herself with work. But the other day she had received a gift from her father; a Musharna, courtesy of Bass City's nursing union, for the purpose of being her healing Pokemon. Like the many Chansey that flitted about the center this would be one meant just for her to train to heal those who needed it. And even if she wasn't sold on being a nurse for the rest of her life, Elizabeth had honestly been pretty excited by that.
It didn't hurt that her father had somehow snagged her a shiny one, out of the many others she was sure could have been available. He was still definitely trying to retake lost ground from her childhood with gifts.
Well. Sometimes he got it right.
The downside was that as pretty as this Musharna was, she wasn't actually ready for use at the clinic. First she had to learn a healing move. Musharna could learn only one outside of breeding: Heal Bell. It wasn't a perfect move but it would get the job done. Pain Split was also an option but it had the downside of hurting the user even if it helped whomever they used it on.
So Jelly-Bean the Musharna was now floating above Elizabeth's head as she sat on the floor of a private training room, the warming spring air coming through the open windows, flipping through the pages of a book that would show Jelly-Bean how to use Heal Bell. There were pictures, there were "phrases" the book encouraged trainers to use during the learning process--all of them assuming that the Pokemon couldn't talk back to them, which, thankfully, Eliza got around.

It didn't look so difficult. The most difficult part of this would be--
"Bean," Elizabeth's voice came out nasally as her nose was squished up against her face, as Jelly-Bean's long trunk came and wrapped itself fondly around the front of her head, "I can'd see dhe boo'." The little booger was a friendly one. A very, very friendly one. And a hungry one, too, when it came to the dreams and thoughts of her trainer. Eliza's head was a busy place after all. Thoughts, both her own and from those around her, and dreams, mostly of becoming an idol, were apparently very tasty. Enough so that Jelly-Bean kept trying to eat them.
Eliza wouldn't mind. If she didn't need to see. And think. Right now.
"Bean." She said, aloud, sterner. The Musharna didn't move.
<Nummy,> the light, dream-like cooing of Jelly-Bean's thoughts slipped through to Elizabeth's mind, <These ones taste really good...you should read it more...>
"I'm tryin' to, bud I can'd SEE. Moob."
Elizabeth pried the trunk off from her face and gave her Pokemon a small push, sending her floating off to the side for a bit, spinning before she righted herself. "I can't really teach you if you're eating the process out of my head. Can we get started? Then you can go back to doing that--without smothering me."
Jelly-Bean nodded--or, well, her whole body moved up and down like a nod, as she was still curled up in on herself. Her little nubby purple "boots" were so cute. Ahem. Focus. "The book says it's a sound you make that sounds like a bell, that triggers the attack. Can you do that?...can you make a sound like a bell?" What kind of vague nonsense was this, even. Jelly-Bean tipped to the right.
<I don't know...lemme try...> Raising her head just a little, though her eyes still remained shut, Jelly-Bean opened her tiny mouth and tried to make a ringing sound. It came out less like a bell, and more like she was saying "ding".

Eliza pursed her lips. "Not quite. Try to make it higher? Like..."
Huh, funny, she might make some use out of her singing talent with this one. Elizabeth cleared her throat, and slowly went up from a moderately high note to one higher, still, tapping into her head voice. In the empty space of the private room it echoed in a pretty way. Very nice acoustics. She should record a song in here one of these days. Once her voice hit a note that, to her ears, sounded more like a chiming bell, she stopped. "Here, try to match the pitch with me."
It was like she was teaching her Pokemon to sing, which was funny. Jelly-Bean wasn't the best at keeping the right note. Maybe it was because she didn't have visible ears. But she tried. Slowly--and with a bit more strain--her little sounds grew closer to the high notes Eliza had reached. Then, weirdly enough--
Chhhring. Chhring.
If she couldn't see Jelly-Bean's mouth making the noise, or wasn't teaching her to do said noise, Elizabeth would have sworn that sound had come from a bell. How did she even--Pokemon. Pokemon logic. Okay. "There, that sounds right. Now try to push your energy into that sound. Your..." she moved her wrist in a circle. This was a psychic move, right? So she could kind of understand it. "...self, you know? Like when you lift things up. Put that energy into your voice."
Jelly-Bean drew in another little breath, and opened her eyes just a tiny, tiny bit. Eliza saw the faint violet rings beneath her eyelids turn pinker, and once more...
Chhhring-ring, chhhring-ring.
As the noise echoed through the air, little orbs of colored light appeared, swirling around Jelly-Bean's round body in circles. She could almost see a faint outline of a musical note hidden in the light, but as soon as they had appeared, they had disappeared. Elizabeth grinned a genuinely bright smile. "Was that--did you do it? Jelly-Bean?" Her Musharna blinked, then her tiny mouth curled upwards.
Elizabeth stood up from the book and move to catch up Jelly-Bean from the air and give her a fond little snuggle. "Good job, Sleepy Jean Jelly-Bean...you'll be an amazing nursing 'mon. Between you and Dr. Momo," she giggled, "I'm going to look like an actual nurse. Sheesh. Can't let myself fall into another trap..."
Jelly-Bean's trunk came up to poke at Eliza's temple. <Trap? I thought you-->
"Idoling's only a part of my dream," Elizabeth looked down at her, smile growing a bit harder, "But I don't think you'd want to see the rest. It's a bit scary, and dark."
<Isn't that a nightmare...?>
Eliza chuckled. "No, not at all. Well...not for me, and us, at least..."
