How would you describe yourself? "Hmmm... Where to start?" Riley puts a hand to their chin for a moment as they think, then shifts back into a more casual position with a grin. "I'd say I'm pretty charming. Charismatic, even~ I love performing, and I love making new friends. I'm a pretty affectionate person. Hmm.. What else?" They consider it. "I may have a smaaall penchant for messing with people, and I've been called 'a little shit' more than a few times." They laugh. "But I suppose that's getting more into how others would describe me, eh?" Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? Riley is visibly excited. "Oh! I've always been in love with the idea of performing with Pokemon!" they exclaim. "See I grew up in Nimbasa, and Pokemon Musicals there are all the rage. My partner Hunter and I used to sneak in and watch them all the time, and we'd spend hours working on our own private shows. Later I got pretty into watching contests on tv, but Kalosian showcases were what enraptured me the most. Not only having a Pokemon perform, but being on stage with them! I love the idea of the attention, the pressure to succeed, the adrenaline rush. Bringing joy to people and having them scream you and your partner's names? Just, fuck yeah man!" Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? Ooh, that was a good question. "Honestly, it was kind of coincidence that I first came here," they admit. "I have this friend, Prem. His Sylveon and mine are brothers, caught at the same time, and Prem moved here a short while before I did." Chase had been devastated at being separated from Tad, and Hunter was none too pleased either. "I mean I might not have moved permanently here if just for that, but it got me looking into the region. I'd been looking for a place where there was a good scene for coordinators, but not quite as huge or chaotic of one as a more established region like Hoenn or Sinnoh, where their Grand Festivals are broadcast worldwide. "Prior to this I actually tried out a region called Olida for a few months. I wound up working as a casino dealer for a while and built up some nice spare funds, but there never was a really good opportunity to get my foot in the contest door, so I thought Arciel might wind up being more fruitful. And since I've got some spare change in the bank to keep me afloat for a while, I can afford to just focus on training and preparing to my heart's content." What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. Riley laughs out loud. "Is everything a viable answer?" They laugh a little more lightly. "No but really, uh. It's hard to choose. I suppose the aforementioned charisma is a big one. I'm pretty proud of my looks, too! In particular, I'd say how well I can pull off looking both masculine and feminine with a little effort is one of my favorite things about myself." What else, what else... They shift into a sultry grin. "Am I allowed to say I'm great in bed? ...No? Oh well." They chuckle softly. What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! Riley looks briefly offended. "Bad attributes? Me? Puh-lease. Pfah!" They roll their eyes and swat a hand at the air dismissively, but then take a deep breath and sigh. "I mean... I guess people have told me I can be a little... arrogant? Flippant? But I mean." They shrug. "I know I'm awesome, and I don't feel like spending my time on things I'm not passionate about. Are those really such bad qualities?" Yeah, maybe. Especially when it was people that Riley didn't feel like spending time on, making them a bit of a fickle friend at times. But it wasn't like they would ever acknowledge that. What was your childhood like? How was school? Oh yay a chance to mention: "Well first off, I was raised by three loving parents." The interviewer looks up a little surprised, and Riley grins. They love getting that reaction. "Yeah~ Mom and Daddy and Papa were all always pretty supportive. I was the middle child, so my big sister got a lot of the social pressure and my baby brother got a lot of the affection, but I got to do my own thing a bit more." Which was nice! But did lead to feeling a little lonely at times, which led to acting out. "I did get up to some trouble in middle and high school. Nothing crazy, just some petty theft, graffiti, shit like that. But I assure you, I've grown well out of that phase now." They have absolutely not grown out of that phase, and are still a petty thief. They just learned to be more subtle about things after spending six months in jail for raiding a pantry. Actually, that was... probably on their file, huh? "Uh, speaking of, you're not counting my jail record against me on this, right? Okay good." How is your relationship with your family? "Oh I guess I already answered that in part, huh. But hm. Things were a little strained with my parents when I was in school, but they've improved since I cleaned up my act. We don't talk a super lot lately but we'll like, like or comment on each other's Facebook sometimes." Thankfully, Riley only used Facebook for that sort of thing anymore; they wouldn't dare let their parents see their other social media, not that they were super active on any of it lately. "My sister and I are a bit competitive with each other. My brother is still the baby even though he's the tallest, and I love giving him hell when I see him, heh." What do you like to do for fun? Riley's gaze goes sultry as they put on an easy grin. "I wouldn't mind making 'you' an answer some time, gorgeous~" They laugh softly at the interviewer's flabbergasted expression. "Oh don't look so surprised. I'm sure you've had people give dirty answers to this question before." They stick out their tongue, briefly showing off their tongue ring. "Aside from that, I like just spending time with people or with my Pokemon. I like training different contest and showcase combos. I like drawing, and even do commissions sometimes." Those commissions were often of the pornographic variety, but they didn't need to mention that. "Sometimes I like to just blast music and practice dancing with Hunter." What are your feelings on romance? At this question, Riley frowns. "Oh, uh..." They lean forward, chin resting on their hand, elbow on the table. "I mean... dates are nice? But like... Deep intimacy and shit?" A very light shiver travels up them. "Not gonna lie, that's kinda scary to think about. Like I'm not... opposed to it? It's just... intimidating. I've never felt all that deeply for anyone before, just little crushes here and there. I wouldn't know what to do if I fell hard, heh." What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. "Short-term, I just want to get started in the contest scene finally. Which plays right into the longterm, to be a world-class coordinator! I'd love to take Arciel by storm, and then move on to some of those big name regions eventually. Not that I don't plan on being here for a good while first, of course. But yeah!" If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? Riley gasps. "Oh, Meloetta! That was actually my Halloween costume this year!" They grin wide. "It may as well be a deity of musical muse, plus I read this one story when I was a kid about a Meloetta that was female in Aria form and male in Pirouette form! It's how I was introduced to the concept of genderfluidity, which is a huge part of my identity now! So I've always had a super special place in my heart for Meloetta~" What do Pokemon mean to you? Riley blinks, a little surprised. "I mean... everything, pretty much! Or at least my Pokemon mean everything to me! Without them I wouldn't have my dream to pursue, or at the very least it'd be a lot lonelier and less interesting dream. I love having partners to work alongside, and you know what they say! Teamwork makes dream work!" Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? "Hmmm..." They consider it carefully. "I suppose it's worth mentioning that I've trained in other regions before. I know the Arciel travel bureau has some restrictions on bringing over Pokemon and I'm fully willing to comply with those. But just to let you know, I do have some experience already." They look a bit smug. "So what do you think? Do I pass?" |
Appearance
Height 5'09" / 175.5cm Build Lithe but strong Hair Color Maroon Red Eye Color Teal | Riley is fairly pale, and tends to freckle before they tan if they get a lot of sun exposure without enough sunscreen. They have a lean build with a fair amount of muscle definition for their size. They are very flexible. They are also just a little bit curvy, though not so much that the right clothes can't cover it when presenting masculine. When they aren't binding, their breasts are a C-cup. Overall, they are very androgynous, and tend to use makeup to help make their face look more masculine or feminine, at least on days when they're not too lazy to bother. They have three piercings in each ear, two in the lobe and one in the cartilage, though they don't tend to wear anything in most if any of the holes most days. They also have a tongue ring. They have a small teal tribal tattoo on their face over their left eye, and a Sylveon tramp stamp on their lower back. Riley has two necklaces with the Mars (male) and Venus (female) symbols that they wear to let friends know their current pronouns most of the time, especially on days when they might be a little lazy with presentation. Those days are not too terribly common, but they do come up after all. Aura Riley's aura is a bright raging flame of reds and pinks, with maybe a little orange flickering in at times. |
