No matter how nice something is, or how good she is at something, she'll always take the humble approach. Always. Despite her old age, she's open minded and still curious about the world. She wants nothing more then to understand the younger generations, stay hip to the social changes, and do her best to understand them. Her motherly instincts are quite strong, mostly from raising four children, which keeps her quite compassionate and disciplined. Though there's two sides to every story, and these same instincts can maker her emotional when there's a lot of emotion around her and sensitive to how others treat her. In times of emotion, she can be quite finicky and argumentative. Her stubborn nature doesn't really help, though, and if she's caught in the right mood she's likely to double down on her argument instead of admit any mistakes. If it's one thing her age has impacted, it's her traditional preferences. She's an old lady at heart, and there's not much that can stop that from showing. This can be from clothing sense, a quiet fear of technology, or complaining about today's youth. History Clementine was born into the Nibley family as the oldest of two kids. While her parents didn't always get along with each other, they did their best to raise their children. Clementine's last name at birth was Nibley, and the family ran a small bakery called Nibley's Nibblers that catered to humans and Pokemon alike. While her younger sibling stayed interested in the family business, Clementine never really found a passion in it. She did find a passion in farming and gardening, however. There she met and fell in love with a son of a farming family, Casper. Within a year of dating, Clementine moved in to help Casper with his family's farm. His siblings had all moved out, and his parents left the farm to him in their wills. It wasn't long before Clementine took her husband’s, Casper Albert Lynn, last name when they married in their late twenties. Not soon after they had children, two boys and two girls. As time went on, some children moved out, but some stayed and moved in their spouses to build their family there. The Lynn family was a farming family, so the extra hands were welcome. Not all good things last, and soon Clementine found herself living alone with Casper again. The kids and grandkids have all moved out, causing the farm work to become difficult. The old couple soon started bickering about hiring farmhands to help with the hard work, but they could never agree. Casper would hire help, and Clementine would fire them. After a few years of this back and forth, Casper decided to move out of town and live with one of the children. Clementine was left alone, and decided to move to a new region and retire. Clementine took the rest of the Lynn family savings and moved to a new region. She managed to buy a decent plot of land that she originally planned to turn into another farm, but as she was planting her first set of crops she felt quite lonely. With bittersweet determination, she decided to build up a farm even an old lady could run and be proud of. It was lonely work, but her passion was still strong. Height 5'3" / 160cm Build Petite and sturdy Hair Color Gray Eye Color Blue | Standing at a thin but sturdy 5’3”, Granny Clementine is quite fit and active for an old woman. Her long, wavy gray hair is often kept in a bun to stay out of her face. She has dim blue eyes that seems to have faded in color with age, and thin wire frame glasses to help her see. Wrinkles have set in in the classic places; crows feet, smile lines, and such. She’s often found in old, repaired clothing. Long skirts with patches, stained jeans from fieldwork, and such. She almost always has a metal cane to lean on, or a place for it on her belt or in her waistband when not in use. An old dusty pink and brown canvas bag is usually with her as well. Aura A gentle, slow mist of dull blue and faded yellow. |
