Age 17 Birthday June 20, 2003 Gender Male Pronouns He/Him Orientation Bi Faction Freelancer Class Criminal Rank Petty Thief Occupation Sneak Thief Hometown Plum City, Arciel Current Residence Traveling | Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself? The blonde male fidgeted in the seat and gave the so called 'interviewer' a suspicious glance. His blue-green gaze wandered to the door pondering making a run for it. He could feel the interviewer's eyes on him, waiting for a response. Jace chewed his lip then leaned forward. "Is this really necessary? I'm kind of in a hurry here." He inquired as he fiddled with the sleeve of his hoodie and continued to avoid the interviewer's gaze. A clearing of the throat and an insistent tap of the pen prodded Jace to hurry it along. He grumbled and crossed his arms. "Okay, okay. Um, I'm Jace... not Jason, nobody calls me that but my folks." He started off rather insistently. "And I dunno, I guess, I like music? I can be a little impatient, might've gotten into a bit of trouble, but that's all over now." He stated emphatically as he straightened up a little. "Is that why we're doing this? Because I spent a little time in juvie?" Jace now asked a little demandingly. The interviewer seemed to ignore this outburst however and moved onto the next question. Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? Jace raised a brow and gave the interviewer a skeptical look. "I mean, who doesn't want to be a trainer? Seriously it's like the thing to do. All my friends are trainers. I've never wanted to be anything else. And, yea maybe I screwed up a little but look I swear that's all behind me. I'm committed to taking on the Gym Challenge and that's it." The teen again stated with as much emphasis as he could muster. It certainly seemed like he meant it anyway. Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? "This seems like a stupid question. I'm from Arciel, born and raised in the capital city of all places, where else would I even go? I mean I'm only sixteen, it's not like I'm going to just run off to some other region all by myself." He responded rather incredulously though his tone suggested that if he had the means that's exactly what he'd do, run off to another region. Jace narrowed his eyes watching the interviewer for any signs of suspicion on their part. What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. Jace perked up, a little then chewed his lip. "Best attributes? I mean, okay, guess this is the part you're supposed to brag about yourself huh?" The male joked though he could see the interviewer was not amused. Plus judging from their expression and the increasingly agitated aura surrounding them, Jace was only succeeding in annoying them. "Well, I'm a nice guy... okay yea, I mean not a 'nice guy' but I try to be a nice guy, honest! I'm loyal, you know, to my team, my partners. Gotta have their back right? I respect pokemon, sure that should be a given for a trainer but you know a lot of people are assholes. I try not to be an asshole." He paused and pursed his lips trying to think of other things to add. He sensed the interviewer didn't exactly believe him though. "Um, I'm self-sufficient? Can cook, fish, take care of myself. I'm no coward, I'll take on anyone. And I'm pretty snea-, er, quiet, you know, I don't bother anybody, try to keep out of the way." He added hastily, not wanting to make it sound like he specifically tried to be sneaky. The interviewer scribbled something down though Jace couldn't be sure what. What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! "That seems like a trick question, really who actually answers that honestly? Nobody wants to make themselves look bad." Jace said with a dry laugh. The sharp rap of the pen clearly told him to get on with it. Jace scowled a little and shrugged. "Hey you already know the worst about me. I got into some trouble, you know 'got mixed up with the wrong crowd', spent some time in juvie. I mean really what else could I say?" The male stated as he absently reached up to play with the cordless headphones hanging around his neck. He eyed a rather expensive looking watch on the interviewer's wrist as he fiddled with the headphones almost looking like a junkie that needed a fix. "Yea, I guess again I'm a bit impatient. I don't like sitting in here getting the third degree like this. I just wanna be a trainer you know? Put things behind me and get on with my life." The gleam of the watch seemed to be calling to him and Jace grit his teeth then started humming to himself. "What? I'm nervous, music calms me down." He stated defensively when the interviewer gave him an odd look. He could tell the interviewer was wanting more from him though he was struggling to come up with something more to say. "Look I'm not always the easiest person to get along with sometimes either okay? I can have a short fuse and I don't like being the center of attention. And, well, if you believe in that sort of thing, I've really lousy luck." What was your childhood like? How was school? "Huh? Well for the most part my childhood was great. I loved hanging out with my friends from school and we all lived in the same neighborhood. I was pretty popular. And I loved my kid sister, she was the best part of my childhood." He stated oddly wistful compared to his earlier behavior. Jace made a face shook his head trying to be less emotional. "But yea, we'd all run all over the neighborhood together, watch all the big trainer matches, families had weekend cookouts, all went around to each other's place for the holidays. And school was a breeze, sure I might've gotten told off for sneaking into a few places I wasn't supposed to be but hey you gotta keep things interesting right?" He frowned a little as he continued to think back. "Of course, like I said before, lousy luck. I never managed to win any of the school contests, couldn't make a sports team, and I swear I'm not clumsy but I managed to break my foot and my wrist one day just when I was running late for class." Jace could see the interviewer give him a raised brow, clearly curious. "It's a long story." How is your relationship with your family? At this Jace went completely quiet. His fidgeting stopped and he simply stared at the top of the table. He was aware of the interviewer's subtle prompts for him to respond but Jace was having trouble gathering his thoughts for this. He really, really didn't want to talk about his family and had been hoping the subject wouldn't come up. Honestly they didn't even know he was here. "I'd rather not talk about my family, can't we just skip it?" He finally inquired still starting at the table. The rap of the pen was the only response and Jace sighed irritably. "Fine. Dad's a cop. Mom's a coordinator. New baby brother took over everything. And my sister was my best friend but now hates me, okay?" Jace snapped now glaring at the interviewer. "My dad's the one who turned me in, got me thrown in juvie and now my mom and sister will barely even speak to me and my new baby brother's the center of their world. Are you happy now?" Jace spat out and slammed an open palm on the table. He could tell the interviewer was less than happy and the boy scowled and resumed crossing his arms across his chest. "Can we move on now?" What do you like to do for fun? Jace grumbled and huffed. "Seriously? Is that supposed to take my mind off the previous question?" He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Well, I like to explore, travel around, go on adventures with friends. Fishing can be fun though a little dull at times. I don't have a bike anymore but always did enjoy a bike ride around the neighborhood. Oh and I listen to a lot of music." He added tapping the headphones again. He figured he'd avoid mentioning he found nicking things quite fun. What are your feelings on romance? He blinked and now stared at the interviewer, the first time he'd looked directly at them. "I don't really see how that's any of your business or relevant." Jace scowled feeling his cheeks grow flush. Romance really hadn't been a thing. Yea sure Jace had had a few crushes on a couple of girls and guys in his class but he'd gotten thrown in juvie before he ever had much of a chance to start like dating or anything. When you spend the first half of your teenage years locked up it's hard to meet people, and those in juvie are not really relationship material, even if a few of the guys he'd been locked up with had been kind of cute. What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. Jace breathed a bit of a sigh when the interviewer let him move on for once. "Goals? Okay, goals are easy. I guess get a team together then take on the first gym and from there keep going until I've taken on all the gyms and enter the league and then become champion. I mean isn't that the goal of every trainer?" Jace knew it sounded pretty generic but at the moment it was all he could really focus on. He could say that one goal was to eventually work through the kleptomania and stop stealing but really he was just planning to ignore that right now. If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? Another look of disbelief flashed across Jace's face. "Dude really? That's like the dumbest question you've asked so far." The boy rolled his eyes then shrugged. "I dunno, Zoroark I guess? Dark, sneaky and tricky. I mean it'd be great if I could make people see what I wanted them to see." What do Pokemon mean to you? He titled his head to one side and gave a half smile. "Well I've always loved pokemon. For the longest time I always wanted one and my folks kept putting it off, and putting it off, all because dad knocked mom up again after thirteen fucking years." Jace stopped then took a deep breath and cleared his throat. "Sorry, um. Yea, love pokemon, think they're great. Really excited to start meeting and training more." Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? Jace slid back the chair and immediately stood up. "Yea, no, that's all. Are we done here?" He asked hastily as his gaze flicked back to the door again. As soon as he got a nod of approval he was out the door and down the hall more than ready to get the hell out of there. Later the interviewer would discover their invaluable pen missing. |

Height 5'8" Build Lanky Hair Color Dirty Reddish-Blonde Eye Color Blue-Green | Jace is a young man of average height and a thin, lanky build. He has rather feminine, angular features and fair skin. His almost shoulder length dirty, reddish-blonde hair is typically always a mess as though it never gets brushed. He has plenty of tiny scars from childhood roughhousing and unlucky incidents. His wardrobe usually includes a hoodies, jeans, tees, and sneakers typically in varying shades of blue, white, gray or black. He is never seen without his cordless headphones. Sometimes he'll have various accessories but these seem to change randomly as though he's never satisfied with any of them and keeps 'acquiring' new ones while discarding the old. Aura A surprising amount of grey makes up the central aura. It shifts to dark pink tinged with a cloudy, dark green hue then a rather overabundance of bright orange and a hint of red. All shift and flare unpredictably. |
