While in Birch after wrapping up a meet and greet Arietta had all but expected to go straight home, however was stopped by one of her managers before she could even begin her long trek home- some urgent letter needed to be delivered to a trainer down route 6, and Arietta was the only member of the team who had free time after the event. She was fine to walk the route at night to fine them- she was sure she'd be fine... but then a bike was shoved at her and she was left to her own devices before she could even tell the manager that she'd never learnt to ride a bike- ever.

Her parents were never there, and her childhood was just constant gymnastics- but hey, how hard could bike riding be?! If she was able to do ballet with a pointe shoe, and balance amidst some of the hardest dance routines of her life, then surely riding on this metal thing with handlebars could be as easy as pie!

Swinging herself up onto it- that... was easily disproved. It took a second for the bike to tumble, as soon as she attempted to lift a foot off the ground and she could feel frustration begin to creep in-but no... no. This was fine! She tried again, holding it steady with one hand and attempting to push herself back on, but her weight was uneven and she quickly pushed her foot into the ground- arceus. She was going to need some help from her phone.

"Phonechu~" She called out, waiting for the phones robotic response to speak back. "How... do you ride a bike?" 

Thankfully, the phone didn't speak down to her like she was an idiot. The robotic, emotionless voice was actually kinda calming, and almost reminded her of a parent she never had. Back straight, one pedal up, one down, feet firmly planted and push them forward... alright... okay... She- Arceus she was moving! The bike was moving!

This was fine- this was easy! One pedal, then another- why was the bike tipping- oh my arceus it's wobbly- stop- sTO- "FUCKFUCKFUCKFU-" Arietta practically went flying as the bike fell to the side, the girl toppling right over and landing right on top of a path of dirt. A loud cry left her lips as she attempted to right herself- her elbow for one reason or another hurt... really bad, but she refused to look at it- if she didn't look at it, nothing was wrong- right?!

She'd had dance injuries where she'd slammed her head on the hard dance floor, this? This was... totally nothing. She was shaking slightly- if only she had a parent here to guide her or... something- not that she wanted them here! A huff left her lips and she shook her head, no... no she was going to try again. 

Taking a deep breath she walked over to the tipped bike, attempting to right it and ignoring the flash of pain that spread from her elbow whenever she moved it... Upsie-daisy now! She just had to... get on and... go a little slower- maybe. And keep her grip so the bike didn't go launching randomly.

This was fine!

The bike wobbles a bit as Ara gets on and starts to ride again, but as she peddles more and more, it becomes clear the answer to stability is to just keep moving! You're on your way! But watch out for the debris in the road!

With each wobble Arietta dreaded falling more and more. The ground was rocky, the whole area was dusty- it would be easy to just slip and suddenly need to go straight to the pokecenter. She didn't want that! But... like dancing, to avoid any accidents, or hell any judgments, it seemed she just had to keep moving- at least... she wasn't falling- and the more she pedaled the less the bike seemed to wobble- was she actually getting this?! An excited cheer left her mouth as she pushed forward- right- okay.

A bump under her tire almost sent her lurching however and the girl choked on her celebrationg- eyes on the road infront of you, Arietta! Right- okay- there was rocks and debris that past her every so often, and so now she had to focus on... maintaining speed, staying on the track, looking for whoever this stranger was in the middle of nowhere and not veering right into something that'd send her flying.

...Is it bad that Arietta hadn't thought about breaking this whole time?

On the subject of breaking- look out there's a Snorlax coming in really quickly now! Don't run into him or he may claw you or something!

Forwads, forwards! This was going okay, a little bumpy but... the manager truly picked out a decent bike for her! See, she even skipped the training wheel stage! She'd find the stranger in no time, and everything would be a-okay. Or at least, that's what she thought- up until she saw the Snorlax right in her path. A strangled noise left her lips- how did she stop?! Was there a break?? Was this like a car- what if she twisted the handlebar- no wait those things are rubber- uh- is there... Arceus he was coming closer! She moved to try pushing the silver thing hanging off the handlebar but..

A bell noise rang out!? No- no- what if she pressed the- fuck she had no time! Arietta attempted  to twist the handlebars, she could go around him, maybe?! Did she have enough time?? Arietta let out a a loud, "Get out rhe way!" Even though she knew it was useless. Forwards, forwards- just turn, damn it you bike!

Her eyes were squeezed shut... and she could only hope she passed the Snorlax and didn't crash into him.

Ara could hope all she wanted, but with a 26 roll, she was crashing directly into the Snorlax. The bike smashed into the soft flesh and twisted upwards. Ara herself would go flying up onto the top of the sleeping Pokemon. The Snorlax... didn't seem fazed in the least and was still dreaming- for now???

Instead of dodging past him... for a brief moment Arietta was weightless- before it all come crashing down. Her eyes remained pried shut as she felt herself falling- and falling- until she landed right onto something soft?! Wait... Getting her grips quickly back on reality the girl opened her eyes, glancing around- until realizing that she was infact right ontop of the Snorlax. That... holy fuck she was actually kinda lucky he saved her fall?!

Arietta took a deep breath, giving the Snorlax a soft pat on the belly, greatful that he didn't wake up despite her uh... failures as a bike rider, before moving to slide off him. A glance left, and a glance right- she was looking for the bike now, which had landed a few steps away- surprisingly with no scratches.

She... really needed to learn how to brake properly- but no time for that! The thing was urgent, right!? Taking a deep breath and getting back on her bike, she attempted to rebalance and continue forwards. Mysterious trainer where were you?! She just wanted to go home and probably bandage her aching elbow.
