Personality Gwendolyn is a bit of a loner who prefers the company of pokemon more than people. Not that she has much against people, she is perfectly polite to others and kind when she does socialize, it's merely a matter of preference. She's level-headed, and takes her time considering her thoughts and actions, rather than proceeding on impulse. It makes her slow to act, but she's careful to avoid making poor decisions. She's also not one to be opinionated, and is generally accepting of varying ideas, and it takes more than just a harmless disagreement for her to really be against someone's views. Emotionally, she's rather distant. Her face stays pretty neutral most of the time, so she can be difficult to read. She leans more toward being practical and avoids having her emotions control her judgement. She does have difficulty with sympathizing with others, even when she wants to, often being awkward and uncertain, though she does care about people. Having psychic abilities of her own, has influenced her interests in pokemon to be specifically those whom possess supernatural or mystical abilities and qualities themselves. Ghost, psychic, fairy and dragon types fall under this category, though there are a few specific pokemon of other types that might catch her interest as well. History Gwendolyn was born and raised in Nimbasa City, Unova, the term 'raised' used lightly. She'd been result of a rather reckless fling. Her mother Delphine was 19, infatuated by the regal and foreign charms of a Kalosian man. It was a brief relationship that ended when he returned to Kalos, and before she'd become aware of being pregnant. Delphine had put that relationship behind her, and was content to raise Gwendolyn on her own. She'd have more relationships and marry, as she cared for little Gwen. She, and the rest of her family however, were superstitious and wary of unearthly powers, and had very deep set feelings against anything such as ghosts, psychics and other paranatural things. This became a problem, when it turned out Gwen had apparently inherited psychic abilities from her father, that began to present when she was four. Back then it was all mostly just things rattling around and shifting small distances across whatever surface they lay upon. It took a while for her mother and step-father to realize the source, and after that they were no longer such loving parents to her. Gwendolyn never understood why her parents suddenly became so cold and distant with her. As she grew older however, it wasn't hard to connect it to the anger and punishments they gave whenever they caught her using her powers. It made her a little withdrawn, but she at least had friends at school that treated her well, and were much more accepting of her budding psychic talents. Gwendolyn was 10 years old, when an elderly lady came to the door. Her parents answered, but Gwen definitely recognized her, she'd seen her around town, near her school, near her neighborhood. She couldn't recall noticing any particular stranger more than she did this woman. Gwen kept her distance, while her mother seemed to get disturbed, angry, than nervous. Her parents definitely didn't like this person. It was a couple more weeks after this visit, during which she did notice her parents being more irritable and stressed, that they sat down and explained to her that the woman was her grandmother, and that she'd be living with her for 'a while'. Gwendolyn was young, but given that she didn't have much attachment to her parents, she was nothing more than perplexed and wary of the stranger. Her grandmother however, was no threat. She was a kind, sweet lady who unlike her parents, celebrated her psychic abilities, and too also had such powers herself. Gwen grew close to her very quickly. She didn't even notice that her stay went on longer than the 'while' her parents had claimed. Truthfully, custody had shifted straight to her grandmother, and the small ghost type pokemon ranch near the Village Bridge that her grandmother cared for would be her home for the remainder of her childhood. She'd also get to meet her father, though his work took him around the world, so it was rare for him to visit. She liked him, but she was closest to her grandmother. Gwen would spend a lot of her spare time during her teenage years, helping around the ranch and interacting with the various ghost-type pokemon that her grandmother raised. As she approached adulthood however, her grandmother's health began to decline. She implored Gwendolyn to step out into the world, and make a life for herself rather than linger on the ranch after her death. Gwendolyn was reluctant to comply, but she couldn't deny her grandmother's wishes after all she'd done for her. A month after her grandmother's passing, Gwen would set off to the region of Arciel to begin her journey. Goals - Become a renowned breeder of pokemon types she specializes in. - Train and develop her psychic abilities

Gwendolyn is a tall woman with a pale complexion, and commonly seen wearing light blue eye shadow. She dresses for practicality, wearing weather appropriate clothing that is easy to move around in, that are usually black or dark colored. Her only jewelry is a tight fitting necklace with a blue gem fixed to it. She carries her belongings in a large black dufflebag strapped around her shoulders. Aura A small, light blue glow that pulses softly.
