How would you describe yourself? "Hmm~? What's to know~?" Wren smiles coyly and sits back while the interviewer waits for a response. Finally Wren sighs, rolling their eyes at the question, "Fiiine, but you're no fun." The interviewer purses their lips, still waiting for an answer. "My name is Wrenova Raven and I'm a simple explorer and consultant~," they mused, resting their head in their hand, elbow propped up on the table, "I love solving puzzles and chess is one of my favorite games~, there's just something about a game of wits that's so intriguing~." Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? "Well~, my job requires quite a bit of travel so why not explore Arciel with it~. I do quite enjoy finding out all the secret areas this region could have. It will be quite the adventure~," Wren grinned, sitting back in the chair again, "Aside from that, a new adventure in Arciel and away from certain relatives sounds delightful~. Oh, and a chance to advertise my services as a consultant. Perhaps gain some new clients while I'm at it~." The interviewer didn't need to know precisely what kind of business they conducted. This was an interview after all, not an interrogation. Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? "Didn't I already answer this? Ah well, fine, but do try not to make me repeat myself, alright dear~? I would love to explore the region. That and I had to get away from some relatives. Besides, I've seen all there is to see in Kanto~. I wanted to see something new. Perhaps get some irons in the fire~." Wren waved dismissively, not really wanting to talk about the subject further. The interviewer waited for them to continue to explain and Wren huffed, rolling their eyes. "Mmm, since when did this become an interrogation? I have a few connections in Arciel. Guess you could say it's a job interview of sorts~." Fine, the interviewer supposed that was good enough. What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. "Mmm, so many questions~. Are you sure this isn't a date, my dear~?" Wren mused, only to chuckle when the interviewer started to sputter. Waving a hand dismissively, they smirked and continued on, letting their chin rest in the palm of their hand, "I've been told I'm quite charming~, don't you agree~?" The interviewer turned red again and scribbled something on the page to look busy, "I'm also quite ambitious I suppose, and smart~. Patient, I like to play the long game you see. I have goals and will do anything to see that they're achieved~." The interviewer isn't quite sure they like their tone of voice and decide it's best to move on. What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! "Oh really, must you ask such a thing~?" Wren mused, blinking a few times as they gave the interviewer a stunning smile. The interviewer shifted uncomfortably, now not sure if they really wanted to press for answers. "If you must, I suppose it could be said I'm a bit... well, changeable~." The interviewer raised an eyebrow, not quite sure what that was supposed to mean. They were going to press for details when Wren spoke up again. "Now, dear~, do you really want to make me repeat myself~?" That smile Wren was giving them was... unnerving and the interviewer quickly shook their head and moved onto the next question. Wren is rather manipulative, vindictive, evasive, and devious as well. They also tend to lash out when pushed too much. Long story short: don't poke the bear. What was your childhood like? How was school? Wren took a breath, seeming to battle with their own thoughts before pressing their fingertips together in a sort of pyramid. Clearly they didn't want to answer their question. That or they were trying to figure out how much to give away from something they'd already hinted at being a sore subject. "That... isn't something I'd like to talk about," Wren finally murmurs, smiling from over their hands, "Must I answer these?" The interviewer slowly nodded, tapping their fingers nervously on the table which Wren took immediate note of. "In one word: terrible." Fair enough, that was a good answer right? Wren didn't have much of a childhood. Their mother had a fling with their father prior to leaving him high and dry at the realization she was pregnant. While their father doesn't actually know they exist, it was made no secret that Wren was never wanted. They learned quickly how to take care of themselves since their mother took just enough care of Wren to keep child services off her back. Wren was poor and wasn't given a lot to call their own beyond what was absolutely necessary and more or less became a glorified servant to their mother and younger sibling(s). Wren hated it. School wasn't that much better as they were ostracized and often ignored. It wasn't until middle school and beyond that they figured out how to use knowledge to gain power over their fellow students and teach them to respect them. How is your relationship with your family? Another stretch of silence, Wren seemed to have stopped breathing at this point. Were they alright? Was the subject of their family really such a bad subject? Considering the long, almost pained breath Wren took after a couple of minutes, the interviewer guessed as much. Awkwardly shifting in their seat, the interviewer cleared their throat, about to try rephrasing the question. "Not... close," Wren finally managed after a good few moments, sitting back in their chair thereafter, "Mother never let a day go by without telling me I was unwanted. That I was a waste of space. That my siblings were better than me. Does that answer your question?" That was... perhaps too much spite than Wren wanted to portray at that moment, but then the smile was back and the interviewer was left to quickly shuffle the papers to get to the next question. What do you like to do for fun? That easy, almost coy smile was back as Wren sat back a little more comfortably, resting their head in their hand. Looking at the interviewer, they smiled bemusedly, "Mmm, wouldn't you like to know~?" The interviewer deadpanned, clearly not amused by this little joke. Wren waved a hand dismissively and rolled their eyes, "Puzzles are always fun~, especially number games. Numbers don't lie, you know~," they continued, sitting back again, hands folded back into a pyramid shape. The interviewer nodded, relieved that this seemed to be an easier question to answer than the others. What are your feelings on romance? "Pffft." Wren started to laugh. No, that was putting it mildly. They were in hysterics with their arms wrapped around their stomach in pain. It was all the interviewer could do to just wait for them to calm down enough to give some sort of response. Unless... this was their answer? Oh... oh dear... "Sorry, love~. Not in the cards. Haven't seen it, don't really believe in it. Now sex however~... that's a different story~," Wren mused, only to giggle anew at the interviewer's clearly flustered state. "Dear me~, cat got your tongue~?" The interviewer quickly shakes their head, quietly hoping the next questions would go a little easier. What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. Wren tilted their head, smirking as they thought about exactly what they wanted to do in Arciel, "Well, I want to build my business of course~," they mused, chuckling a bit as the interviewer raised their eyebrows at that. It seemed Wren didn't want to go into details about this business of theirs however and instead sat back, folding their arms behind their head. "For now however, I think I'll focus on raising Pokemon, perhaps collecting a few others besides. It's always helpful to have a strong team with you~," The interviewer nodded, it made sense but... well, that smile when Wren said that made them a little uneasy. If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? Wren raised an eyebrow after hearing the next question. After the prior ones that were so intrusive to say the least of things, such a benign question was... unexpected. Not to say that it wasn't welcome but hmm, what Pokemon did they prefer? That was a good question. Pressing their fingers together in a pyramid, Wren looked thoughtful for a few moments, "It's so hard to choose just one though~... Mmm, I think I'd prefer dark types... specifically Zorua... or Nickit~." The interviewer wasn't really surprised to hear this and opted to move on to the next question. What do Pokemon mean to you? A thoughtful expression crossed Wren's features as they thought about that, "Pokemon... are a number of things..." they mused, smiling a little as they thought about their own companions, "Friends, partners... I'm pretty sure they saved me." The interviewer nodded, knowing better than to prod anymore. Besides, it was a valid answer and a fairly sweet one at that. Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? Wren just smiled and shrugged their shoulders. They'd said enough for the interviewer and were just ready to go at that point. "Do I have to~?" they asked, smirking a bit as the interviewer shook their head. "Then I'll take my leave~. Thank you~, it's been such a pleasure~," Wren mused, waving goodbye thereafter. |
Appearance
Height 5'04" / 163cm Build Lithe/Muscular Hair Color Ebony Eye Color Violet/Silver | Fairly true to their face claim, Wren tends to dress in plain t-shirts and jeans of varying colors. While fashion isn't their forte by any means, they do take pride in how they look and make sure to look their best whenever they go anywhere. They tend to dress in darker colors such as black, red, purple, and most things that could be in the 'goth' range of clothing, something that does nothing for their already pale complexion. Skulls and spiders in particular seem to be some of their favorite accessories. Generally, they like to dress androgynously but tend to lean towards more feminine at any given time. On such occasions they could go as far as to wear a dress or as minimal as wearing a flower blouse. Most times, they have at least one skull accessory and their favorite black chord choker and bracelet set and always have at least one set of earrings in if not a chain as well. While Wren tends to wear their hair down in a more or less messy fashion. Occasionally they may do red or purple streaks if they're feeling adventurous but generally don't do a lot with it as a rule. Sometimes they'll put in extensions that will reach the middle of their back if not lower, but more often than not they keep their hair just above their shoulders. Aura Rather unobtrusive at best, Wren's aura is hard to see at first glance and more like the peaceful serenity of the stillness of the deep ocean. Most of the water is a silvery blue with more green and the slightest hint of pink mixed in with the waves. Usually the waves don't move much, but ripple with the emotions as they come and go. When upset, the waves will be kicked up into a stormy red mixed with black and/or gray. If/when this happens, the aura swells to twice its size, all but swallowing them in the storm, though this very rarely happens. At its core there is a considerable amount of gray and black but most of it is mixed in with the overall blue/green silvery waters that consist of the waves. |
