Tiara'd been scrubbing at dishes for hours straight now, nine hours infact. Ever since the restraunt opening this morning she'd been right in her little corner of the kitchen, hair high on-top of her head and an eager bounce in her step. Even if the closers last night had forgotten to stack the dishes properly, and even if a good thirty dishes were left unwashed because the chefs forgot to bring their dishes over to her station once they were finished with them, she still kept her head up and went on with her job with minimum complaint.
It'd been just past two in the afternoon when she felt a tug on the back of her uniform, and she'd quickly turned around to find the curious gaze of one Kathy Snyder. "Ti." It was said low, as to not disturb the bustle of workers around her, and the red-hair blinked at her, unwashed soup-pot still grasped firmly in her hands. "Yeees....?"
Tiara'd been friends with Kathy ever since she'd worked here, and Kathy was probably the closet worker to her. The girl was more than happy to drag her into the latest gossip sessions with the other on-break waitresses, or go on and on about her current crush of the moment- except her current crush had turn into a more- long turn thing- she'd be daft to not have noticed it. "Break time, you goose! Princey's started pacing and disturbing the other girls, he tried to cheek Suzy's noodles too." Oh?! It was break time already? Tia had completely forgotten! With a drawn out giggle the girl rolled her eyes, "Eeeeh...Sorry Kath, i'd completly forgotten! Gimme like a minute and i'll be right there, yeah?"and just like that, she was alerting the other staff to her break and dodging her way into the room, where a handful of people sat, eating away, and sending shifty eyes to the corner of the room, where Princey, her Swinub, had began crying, half the crust of some poor suckers sandwhich sticking out his mouth.
"Princey!"Tiara wasted no time in dodging over to the Swinub, peppering him in pats and fishing a few poketreats out her pocket to give to the little hungry Swinub, who let out a giddy burp in response. Another giggle was what followed, and she soon found her attention being diverted by Kathy calling her name... again.
Tiara paused in spoiling the Swinub, gaze falling back to the girl for a moment, only to find herself being gestured closer, drawn into the gossip circle."Tia, you're the last one here so you havvve to do a favour for me, it's just the rules." One of the girl's besides her laughed, tilting their head and making it clear she was glad she hadn't been last again, since she'd done Kathy's tasks twice the last week. "Awww, okay! What's it this time then, Kath?"Tiara wasted no time swinging herself into a chair, and a smirk danced across Kathy's features. "...I need you to get Koray to do something for me, I reaallly need alone time with him, you know what it's like..."
And that's how she found herself exiting the break room, hands at her hips as she surveyed the premises for the man of the hour, and when she did eventually see him, a hand would be raised, beckoning him over. The poor sucker, Tiara wouldn't be able to stand being the coworker Kathy pined after.
Koray had been busy prepping for the next day after his shift had ended. It was tedious work, but it was also repetitive and a little meditative actually. He was glad to have something else to take his mind off of things rather than dwell on whatever the hell was going on between Ara and him. Rowan was floating nearby as always, munching away on a snack that Koray'd given him. It was little more than a piece of cheese, but at least it kept the Phantump out of the way for the time being.
Since the day he'd come in with Gabe, Koray had been rather careful about making sure he'd had different shifts than Kathy. He didn't want to have any more awkward encounters with the waitress, especially not with everything else that was already going on. By the time he had finished with the prep work, Kathy had already arrived for her shift. Great... just great... It was no secret that she had a crush on him, but Koray had tried to make it clear that he just wasn't interested. How much clearer did he have to make it?
Changing out of his chef's outfit, Koray had been about to head out the door when he saw Tiara motion to him. Biting back a groan, Koray walked over to her, bag already slung over his shoulder, "You needed something? I was just about to head out. You know Dad doesn't like it if I stay overtime."Hopefully this will be over with quickly.
As he came over, the girl recognized his posture and further noticed the bag- damn it was lucky she caught him, then! Shifting on foot to foot awkwardly she attempted a smile, hands going to her chest almost in a pleading motion. "Well it's not something I needed, exactly..." A nervous giggle left her lips, and her gaze flew back to the break room, where she could distinctly make out a peeking Kathy.
Right-o, she just had to get this over with then she could enjoy her break. "Kathy's analyzing all the stock and stuff this weekend, actually." That'd probably make him realize what it was all about, but before he could flee she continued, "But, she's unfamiliar with how to do it- are you free this weekend at all? She really needs the help."
Koray's eyebrow raised as Tiara stated that it wasn't something she needed per say. Arceus, please don't let it be-... Too late. The moment the next sentence started with 'Kathy', Koray had to fight the urge to cringe and just run away. There was a reason he'd asked Dad to give Kathy opposite shifts so that they wouldn't have to run into each other. Sighing quietly, Koray pinched the bridge of his nose to try and ease the stress headache that threatened to start.
Thankfully he already had an out for this one,"This weekend? Sorry, I'm running errands for Dad this weekend so I can't come in. I can ask Dad if he could come in on Saturday though, he knows how to analyze the stock better than I do~," Koray explained, smiling apologetically. Checking his watch, Koray hoped that Tiara wouldn't make him late for his practice. It wasn't often he got off early enough to actually participate in a class he was interested in. Still an hour away, it's alright...
She could see his attitude shift a little when Kathy was managed and had to bite back another inappropriate giggle at the uncomfortableness of it all, instead, she remained polite, hands falling to her hips. "Oh, are you?" An eyebrow was raised then, and her gaze flicked once more to the break room, "Just between you and me... I think Kathy feels more comfortable with people around her own age, you know what she's like- and she's never done stock before!"
Was she selling this well enough? Being on Kathy duty was hard enough as it was, "Are you running errands all weekend?" The girl cringed at herself and let out a laugh, small, unsure "Sorry I... really don't mean to be pushy, but she has something really important she probably wants to speak to you about." Which was probably Kathy's unrequited feelings, knowing her. It was obvious to everyone but the girl in question the boy was practically avoiding her, but maybe if Koray actually spoke to her and shook away the girls feelings Tiara wouldn't have to hear the girl go on talking about the future they were going to have together.
Koray nodded at the confirming question, raising an eyebrow at Tiara's insistence. Then there was something about Kathy being more comfortable around peers rather than a mentor. A half laugh would be heard at the next comment about not doing stock before. That wasn't true in the slightest and Koray knew it all too well. Kathy had done stock numerous times but then again, Tiara might not know that.
"Yes, unfortunately, I'm running errands the entire weekend. If Kathy needs help this weekend, she should ask someone else," Koray explained, doing his best to look apologetic. Tiara apologized after that and at the explanation about Kathy having something important to speak to him about, Koray sighed. Yeah, I bet she does. There was a reason why he was avoiding talking to her.
"Sorry, Tiara, I know you mean well but I'm not going to meet with Kathy. If she has something that important to talk about, she can come talk to me. I'm sorry she dragged you into this mess," Koray explained, shrugging his shoulders a bit before rubbing the back of his neck. Ugh, this was annoying. Why wouldn't Kathy just leave him alone...
He wasn't going to budge, at all. That much was fairly obvious. Tiara could only bite her cheek, she was going to get some intense grilling from the coworker when she got back, wasn't she? "...Ah..." she'd probably have to give the girl a bunch of treats as an apology- would she want ginger bread? Maybe gummies shaped like her favourite pokemon? Tiara can always attempt to make a mould- oh- and maybe give it strawberry flavouring...
Oh, she'd gotten caught up again! She managed to keep her best smile as Koray spoke, simply nodding at his words- it's not like she expected anything else. "You say that as if you haven't been avoiding her- which means she has no chance to talk to you," A shrug, and she giggles after that, "I don't know much about the drama that goes on outside of the kitchen... but you have to talk to her eventually. I'll relay what you said though."
Sigh... Tiara wasn't going to let up, was she? Hopefully this wouldn't take much longer. He really did want to get to the class on time. Perhaps 15 minutes earlier so he could change out of his work clothes too. He always kept a spare outfit in his bag just in case he had the opportunity. Checking the time again, he was about to say something when Tiara spoke up again.
Oh... so she had caught on with that, had she? Rubbing a temple lightly, he sighed and tried to think of a way out of this. "Look, I got out of a bad relationship that I'm still feeling the repercussions of," Koray began, it was true enough really, "I also don't want to date coworkers so there is that too. I really don't want to get into more detail and have a dance class to get to," he continued. Perhaps he was a bit short with Tiara, but he was beyond Done dealing with Kathy's bullshit.
Mmm... relationship drama wasn't really her cuppa joe. Dude's been through a bad reationship, and he's not about that coworker relationship life whiiiich is fine- but that doesn't mean avoiding a coworker is healthy at all, especially when it sometimes leads to weird mind games. Tiara sighed softly, moving to shift a hand through her hair, "I understand that, buuut I shouldn't be the one you're telling this to..." She tilted her head, "Ever heard of the art of the chase? You act any more uninterested in Kathy, you keep avoiding her- she'll see it as a game. Girls can be weird."
She watched wayyy too many soapy TV shows to know that, but still Tiara continues. "So confront her, tell her everything, make your disinterest completly clear and all us girls on the staff won't have to come up to you because of Kathy again~ not that you have to do it now or anything." She smiled then, moving to fix up her ponytail. "I'll let you go though, assistant chef. I've got food to eat, dishes to clean and girls to derail!"
She moved then, to go back to the break room... only to see Kathy, who'd probably caught on to Tiara making her way back breaking through- towards Koray. Tiara blinked a few times- uh- wait. What... did she do here? Tiara began walking towards Kathy, if only to steer her back into the break room, only for the girl to pout at Tiara.
"You told him, right? Did you suceed?" Tiara could only manage a wary shake of her head, "The assistant chef reallly needs to get going, he has... things." She'd already forgotten his excuse, and sent him a glance out the corner of her eye. "Tiiiaaaaa- fine- you know what- why don't I just talk to him? I know you're terrible with words after all~"
And then Kathy was brushing past Tiara, heading straight for Koray with an almost lovesick expression in her eyes.
At least he'd managed to get his point across. Hopefully Tiara would take the hint and tell Kathy to back off. Except the lecture he got after that was enough to make him cringe. "I act uninterested because I am uninterested," Koray explained, shaking his head. Tiara was right about one thing, girls were weird and he had enough dealing with Kathy to last him a lifetime.
He had shouldered his bag again when Tiara went on lecturing him about what he should do. Sigh. Maybe he should just make it clear to Kathy that he didn't date coworkers. Period. The thing was, he shouldn't have to deal with this drama at work. It was his escape and certainly didn't want to have any extra drama. That's exactly what Kathy was. Drama.
As Tiara left, Koray waved in farewell and was just about to head out when he saw Kathy headed his way. Speak of the devil. Nope, not today. Given that he was already so close to the door, he walked right back out and released Freda to take him to the dance studio. With any luck, Kathy would get the message and leave him alone.
Tiara could only watch as Kathy made her way past her towards Koray, and she could practically smell an overcooked disaster approaching- arceus help, please? Kathy had begun her chase, following after Koray with a "Koray! I need to talk to you!" and... she even began jogging a little in an attempt to get out the door. Tiara let out a softly drawn out sign, glancing once to the break room, where her lunch was supposed to be eating before going back to doing dishes... spend some time with Prince, even... ah, whatever.
Tiara began following her, warning on her tongue, "Kath, he can't talk, I tried before?" But Kathy continued on her way, walking with purpose, barely sparing the red head a glance. "He can! He just doesn't like you, Tiara- but he likes me~ he'll talk to me, and he'll be able to help me!"" Tiara crossed her arms over her chest, walking closer, "Look- Kath- he's getting on the Absol, he's about to-"
As Tiara went to point him out through the window Kathy let out a gasp, rushing out the doors- and Tiara closed her eyes a second. "...Go. He's about to go." guess she should... probably watch the up and coming disaster- this was the bosses kid, so she should at least make an effort, right?
"Korrraaay- I need to talk before you go- it's really important- I haven't had a chance lately!" Kathy reaallly was like a lovesick puppy, ick. Tiara fidgited now, right by the door. "...Kathy, he's literally leaving." but she didn't relent, "Tiiiaaaa, back inside, this is a private conversation."
...Oh... oh... arceus?! What?? Tiara's eyes went a little wide, and she looked between the boy about to go and Kathy- did- something happen that she didn't know about?!
Arceus, this girl just didn't give up, did she? Kathy was relentless and Koray was about to leave on Freda when Kathy burst through the doors. "Don't stop, whatever you do," was the only instruction given to the Absol before getting on... or attempting to. It was a little hard to leave when both Tiara and Kathy were arguing loudly over him leaving and apparently the fact that he liked Kathy of all people the best.
Fucking Arceus... Fine, he'd stop and talk to Kathy for 2 minutes. Long enough to get her out of his way for good. Hopefully. Freda hadn't taken more than two steps before Koray signalled her to stop, "Stay by me, girl," he murmured before standing next to the Absol, arms crossed over his chest, "Actually, Kathy. I like Tiara far better than I've ever liked you," Koray quipped, narrowing his eyes at Kathy a little, "It's rather cowardly to send her out to talk to me. Anything you need to say, you can say in front of Tiara. I trust her more than I do you at this point."
That, and it would be nice to have an audience in case things go south with this crazy. Sensing Koray's discomfort, Freda growled low, bending her horn towards Kathy if she dared take a step forward. Patting the Absol gently, Koray made no movement to correct Freda but waited to see what was so important that Kathy was chancing making him late for his dance class. "You have 5 minutes. 4 now, better start talking."
ok so i accidentally edited this post but it was basically kathy going on about really, reaaly needing koray to teach her the things, about her seeing him with gabe and that being innapropriate, espeically on work grounds, she basically went off, talked down about tiaras dishwashing job because waitressing is harder so she should be liked better because she was a better employee ect. im actually dead that i lost it all im so sorry XD
Koray could hardly believe what he was hearing. Of all the things to go off on him about, who he spent his time with was hardly professional. Besides, that, it was clear that this 'help' that Kathy wanted him to do, was a ploy to spend time with him and nothing more. Thankfully Freda stopped Kathy before she got too close, but poor Tiara was caught in the crossfire. While Kathy's tirade was going on, Koray pulled out his phone and started to text his father. He was letting him know that Tiara needed the rest of the day off and that Kathy would be put in charge of washing dishes the rest of the day. Yes, he would let her know. Maybe this would teach her to mess with the owner's son. As soon as he knew that his father had okayed the change, the phone was put away and he stared at Kathy with a cold, steely gaze.
"First off, Kathy. I just talked to father about your 'situation' and he's more than happy to explain it to you. He's far more qualified than I am to teach you about whatever it is you need to do this weekend," Koray explained, putting a hand up when Kathy looked like she was about to continue, "Second, who I spend my time with on my day off is none of your business. I don't represent the restaurant on my days off and you shouldn't care if I come to the restaurant because I enjoy it here," he continued, holding up a finger before Kathy had a chance to go off again.
"I know you have a crush on me, and have for a while now. I thought I made it clear that I fairly recently got out of a bad relationship that I'm still reeling from. Furthermore, I will not ever date my coworkers past, present, or future. That is unprofessional, as is you behavior right now. As for Tiara... she has the rest of the day off and you are in charge of dishwashing for the rest of the day," Koray explained, "Dad was the one that suggested it. Ah, here's Rowan now with your things Tiara, how about you come with me?" he finished just as the Phantump gave Tiara her bag, gesturing to the pokeball with Prince inside for good measure before going back over to Koray and settling on his shoulder. Freda growled low at Kathy, daring her to say anything.
"If you have anything else to say, you have 2 minutes."
Tiara could only awkwardly stand there, eyes wide and she frantically looked between whatever party was speaking- it seemed Kathy had struck a cord with Koray, if that wasn't obvious, and Tiara could only chew awkwardly on the inside as her cheek as she shifted her weight from foot to foot... ah... this.. she didn't like this, but she couldn't just go inside... so... she stood there as Kathy reacted as if she'd been personally attacked with every beatdown Koray threw her way, word after word it was like a vicious slaughter that he'd been holding back..
And Tiara couldn't help but tilt her head a little, bringing a finger to her lip...At least he was getting the message across to her fairly clearly? Like... she had kinda, dissed dishwashing which was fairly understandable! Like, it wasn't the best job in the world, but it had to be done! And if she was getting paid for it, Tia was glad to do it! She'd zoned out slightly, more-so because she wasn't comfortable eavesdropping in on this... roast? It felt really, really private. But then as her name was said the girls eyes opened wider.
Uh- uhhh? The rest of the day off?! Kathy is... dishwashing? Wait but- uh- wait- Tiara could only gape in confusion, waiiit a sec- uh- Koray's mon appeared with her bag and she'd barely processed what he'd said, the rest of the day off? But she needed the money! And what if Kathy accidentally used a steel sponge and cut up the dishes- Tiara was proud of how she made everything sparkling- and the quick-dry formula, what if she didn't add it?!
Ahhhhh... but- this was the bosses son, she couldn't really decline. And he'd obviously just taken her advice, so like, it was the least she could do. A confused, "...uh...okay?" left her, as she'd begun awkwardly going through her bag, still feeling mighty uncomfortable. Ah- Prince! She moved to release him once more- if Prince wasn't out she felt guilty and... kinda... not too okay- but the large Swinub almost instantly snorted, pressing his little nose into her thigh and causing Tiara to smile awkwardly. The Swinub was just as confused, but like... it was totally fine.
Kathy, on the other hand, looked like she'd just came second in the royal rumble, face red, she looked damn mortified. Gaze flicked from Tiara to Koray and she stamped a foot down, "You- you can't just do that- i'm not trained?! And- and-" She was searching for words, but found none and just raked a hand through her hair. "What if- what if i'm not... looking to date- just something super casual.' As if she'd found a loophole, Kathy grinned, albeit shakily at Koray, as if her dignity couldn't get lower.
Tiara blinked once, twice, and couldn't help the rather uncomfortable giggle that left her, having to push a hand over her mouth to stiffe herself before shaking her head, "Kathy- you're... joking...?" Kathy aimed a glare right for Tiara, which caused Prince to let out a rather annoyed snort. Kathy's gaze then jumped to Koray, as if waiting for a response.
What the-... had Koray not made himself painfully clear? Why was Kathy still going on about that? Pure, unadulterated rage was perfectly clear in his eyes at that point. Rowan even looked worried, he hadn't ever seen Koray like this before. Freda took a step back just as her trainer stepped forward. She too, had never seen Koray this angry and didn't want to know what wrath this Kathy was about to have come down on her. A look of pity crossed the Absol's features as she looked at the ignorant waitress. Poor girl.
Koray however, was beyond done. He gave Kathy a shit eating grin and shrugged, "I just did. And you'll learn quickly enough. After all, it's just dishwashing. Even a child could do it, which is precisely what you are acting like, Kathy. A spoiled, entitled, bratty child. You're lucky I didn't ask my dad to fire your sorry ass," he explained, seething after the follow-up Kathy gave. Casual? This time, Kathy's shoulder would be grabbed and squeezed none too lightly, "If you ever suggest something like that to me again. I will see to it that you are fired and never work within a 100 kilometer radius of our establishment. I am not a fucking prostitute. Now, go do the dishes now or do I need to call my father again?"
If that didn't shut Kathy up, Koray would definitely have words with their father about this incident. Arceus, he was going to tell them regardless. Whether Kathy would still work at their restaurant would be left up to him. A softer smile would be given to Tiara after that, a stark contrast to the seething anger Kathy had just witnessed. "I'm going to my dance class, coming~? Freda can carry us both." Without another word, he walked over to Freda and climbed onto her back. He would only wait long enough for Rowan, Prince, and Tiara to come over before telling the Absol to go. Whatever Kathy did next? Well, as long as she didn't speak to him, that was just fine.
Right now, more than ever, Tiara felt like she'd been sucked right into her television at home and that she was getting an ad-free viewing of some soapy drama show that was most definitely MA 15+, unless it was... somehow censored. Kathy was like, offering herself to Koray, and as Tiara's gaze turned to the chef she could almost sense the mistake her coworker her made, the anger radiating off of him was truly wicked. Prince stayed by Tiara's side, snorting one more in fascination to what he was saying, being the long-time drama lover he was he was... sorta interested in this scene, but also he could see how Tiara was tensing up slightly and butted his nose against her leg once more, as if to be of some assurance.
Tiara's hands once more covered her mouth as Koray practically ate Kathy alive, holy fucking arceus. Kathy looked truly mortified, and had to take a step backwards to steady herself, as if she had actually physically been hit. Tia's gaze went between the two, eyes widened slightly. She just knew a string of uncomfortable giggles would leave her out of pure shock for what she was witnessing. He was really sticking up for himself, all right. This was something Tiara knew she'd never be able to do, at the very least.
If this was a TV series he'd be quotable for years to come, he definitely wasn't a fucking prostitute. Tiara had momentarily looked into that job because she'd heard of the money and there was a brothel right around the corner from her apartment but it realllly wasn't up her alley, and was hard to get into- oh- oh she was getting off track again.
Kathy looked like she wanted to scream, or shout, or really do anything other than what she was told. She was beyond humiliated, and some people who'd been passing by had stopped to watch her getting utterly roasted. But instead of doing any of that, looking between Koray, and then to Tiara with a seething glare that probably just ended their friendship, she stalked back into the restaurant.
It was then that Tiara brought her hands from her mouth and a shocked string of giggles left her, followed by a soft, "...holy...cheesecake..." Koray's attention turned to her and he??? there was a smile on his face, less malicious and more reminiscent of her coworker. That switch reminded her of the bank robber upstairs, how he went from insulting one of his minions to smiling and asking Tia for more cupcakes as she waited in the doorway- it was almost insanely criminal, but she was... pretty sure Koray wasn't criminal or whatever. Right?
Uhm- dance class? She was... going to his dance class? Uh, yeah okay, better than to mad him mad again by not doing what he wanted. Tiara was quick to pull out another pokeball, her ditto, King popping out of the ball and letting out a curious coo. "Heyy, King..." Her voice was a little squeaky, and her gaze flicked to the waiting Koray before she pointed at Freda. "Uh...Can you turn into the Absol there? Me and Princey need a ride." oh she hoped that was okay?? As King mimicked Freda's form Tiara scooped the large Swinub into her arms, grunting momentarily under his weight before assuring she was on right, she'd never really... rode an absol before... but uh- okay!
King let out an excited noise before going forward, following behind Freda as Tiara stabilised herself, waiting a few beats before speaking. "...uhm..." she tested her voice, before another awkward laugh left her, "Sorry- uhm... I... don't think she'll be bothering you now, maybe." She followed along awkwardly, with Princey wiggling in her arms it was a little hard to see. "By dance class do you mean you're like- taking me to the dance class or... because I can't dance, I can eat, a lot- and I can wash dishes! I mean, I don't mind anything uh..." A shrug then, followed by, "...Uhm... I do have rent due soon... is this an unpaid afternoon off or a paid one?" Apparently, Tiara speaks when uncomfortable.
Seeing Kathy leave elicited a sigh of relief from Koray as he walked back to where Freda stood. A low amused hum from the Absol earned a softer smile. Apparently she approved of what he'd done. Rowan however would float towards him, snuggling close as soon as Koray got on Freda. That had been... very trying to say the least of things. While he hated having to be as direct as he'd been with Kathy... it was unavoidable. Now all Koray wanted to do was dance, and thus the offer for Tiara to join him.
Seeing the Ditto turn into an Absol that mirrored Freda earned a slight smile from Koray, though Freda was less than amused. "Easy girl, they don't hold a candle to you~," Koray mused, smiling as Freda seemed to stand up taller. Yes, yes she was that majestic. Of course any other conversation was cut off when Tiara came beside them. Ah, yes, but they would have to go quickly to make sure they met the deadline... and could change into clothing that allowed more fluid movement.
Tiara's first words earned a nod. Good, that solved one problem at least. Picking up the pace a little, Koray took note of what Tiara was saying... and the fact that the short ramble was reminiscent of Ara's ramblings when something was wrong. A breath would be taken before Koray pushed that thought away. He didn't want to think about that right then and there. "Don't worry, you'll be paid. And this studio is great for beginners, it'll be fine. Unless you'd prefer to go home instead?" He wasn't about to force Tiara to do something against her will. If she was uncomfortable dancing, then he would just go alone. Simple as that.
Thankfully King was doing a great job at holding the Absol's form, and Tiara didn't seem to struggle too much with staying balanced, and Princey after a moment seemed to relax in her lap, snorting every so often he saw something cool pass by. Thankfully, as Koray spoke she was able to breathe slightly easier. She was getting paid for it, which meant she'd be able to pay her rent! And as Koray brought up the studio, and went on about if she'd rather go home Tiara shrugged, "I mean, it sounds fun!" A smile was flashed then. she didn't wanna take any chances anyway, Koray obviously just had a bad run in with Kathy and she didn't wanna stir up any other negative emotions in the dude by declining his invitation. "I could learn to dance like Donna, from mama mia! Besides, going back to my apartment during work hours..."
Was bad. Really bad. That's usually when deals were bad, when unsavourey dudes who saw Tia as prey popped around- at least her neighbours knew her and were kind, but the guys and chicks they did buisness with didn't, they could see her go into her apartment and decide to rob her since they knew she wasn't criminal material and it wasn't exactly a chance she'd wanna take. "I just wouldn't wanna disturb my neighbours more than I have to, if they think i've been laid off because i've come home from work early they'd probably take it as a chance to bake up a big-fat 'we're raising your rent' cake!"
Koray smiled softly when Tiara accepted his invitation. Hopefully she had worn clothes she could move around freely in. He personally packed an extra set of clothes just for that reason but it was no matter either way. Of course hearing that there was questionably trouble with her neighbors earned a frown. "Are you in trouble, Tiara?" Koray asked, his features now holding a more worried expression. There weren't many landlords he knew that would take advantage of someone like that.
Regardless of what she said, Koray would continue on his way to the dance studio, glad to see that he still had enough time to change before the class started. "I take more advanced classes and you're welcome to watch, otherwise there are some beginning classes starting shortly," Koray explained, gesturing to the reception desk, "She'll be able to help you sign in. Don't worry, since you're my guest the lesson will be free for today." He would wait briefly to answer any questions she might have before going to change into one of his more comfortable dance costumes..
