Scarlett Louise Bell
Age 22 Birthday September 23rd, 1997 Gender Female Pronouns She/Her Orientation Homosexual Faction Citizen Class Nurse Rank Caretaker Occupation Trainee Nurse Hometown Lilycove City, Hoenn Current Residence Father's Cat Cafe in Bass City | Personality Inner-city wildchild takes a human-form in Scarlett Bell- to put it frankly: In contrast to her darling looks, Scarlett is an asshole, or at least, until recently she was notoriously a fairly selfish, careless individual. Growing up the middle-oldest out of six sisters is tough, and Scarlett grew up with a constant need for attention. She acted out constantly, and would strive to get a reaction from whoever she could just for the sake of being noticed. Thankfully, with the help of her fiance she's been able to re-evaluate her life and take a decent step back from who she once was. Scarlett is still a sarcastic girl who's bluntness and quick-witt can be a deadly combo- and something she's trying her hardest to work on, She often at times can behave recklessly without thinking, or insult others without blinking- it being a habit she's built up which can unnecessarily hurt others. Scarlett, when she does have the attention of somebody, can be a sarcastic yet decent person. She adores making stupid jokes and rising up a laugh from somebody- it being linked to being liked and noticed. She's not the best at noticing if she's offended somebody, but she does try. After her realization on what her actions have done on others, Scarlett's become rather guilt-ridden. She used to be the type who didn't care much for what others say about her or thought about her, however after realizing what a bitch she'd been and the negative impact she was having on her family and her then girlfriends lives she attempted to pull her head out of her ass. She tends to check things twice with others just to ensure she's doing the right thing when situations arise, and will often apologize even if it isn't necessary in the conversation- Chinami often tells her that apologies help pillow harsh words and make you appear more sincere, which is something she's trying to better herself at. She isn't the smartest of people, but when she sets her mind to something, whether it be annoying her siblings, trying to garner attention or to make somebody proud she'll put her who heart into it. She's a very determined girl and often plans to achieve whatever goal that she's set out for herself, no matter the cost. Reckless, maybe, but honest. History Born the third daughter of Celestine and Daniel Bell, attention has always been hard to come by. For three years she was the centre of their world, adored, smothered with love and then suddenly Elise came into the picture and the attention went to the next baby, then to the next baby. Young baby Scarlett didn’t like that one bit. As a toddler she was a tiny terror, throwing food around, stealing things from her sisters, throwing constant temper tantrums just to get somebody to look at her- even if they were scolding or yelling at her. Often her older sisters helped her as the younger children were born, trying to calm her down or play with her just to put the weight off their parents. Scarlett had many bad habits that she never grew out of, she used to sneak into her sisters rooms and fuck with their things just to have her name mentioned around the house, she’d rip off the heads of dolls, draw angry faces on their teddies, use permanent marker on the walls, just typical kid things. She revelled in the attention it brought her, and since it was hard enough dealing with the younger children it got to the point techniques other than scolding were trialled on her- like ignoring her when she did something bad. Starting school wasn’t any better. To Scarlett, teachers were similar to parental figures, and she spent a lot of time talking loudly to others, making loud jokes, sassing the teacher, to the point where they’d have to talk to Scarlett’s father about her. As Scarlett was loud, easily noticeable and branded ‘fun’ by her peers she was instantly a massive hit, gaining a bunch of friends who mimicked her actions- she was a teachers nightmare, but at least she wasn’t as bad at home anymore. She spent a lot of time going over to her friends houses, basking in the attention from their parents and enjoying her time with people who weren’t overly cautious when she was around, it was great. A few times she’d tried to make her parents notice her in more traditional ways, she took a few music classes knowing her mum was a piano mum but her sisters seemed to do so much better, be so much better, so Scarlett scrapped that very quickly. She tried drawing, but her art was probably a thing of nightmares, writing cute notes to her parents that might have been adorable, if they hadn’t received the exact same thing from their much younger daughters. It was a constant struggle, and Scarlett learned from an early age that she wouldn’t be as smart as her sisters, or as talented. Of course, around when she was eight the family moved to Arciel, which was a great time for any normal kid to realize what a butt they’ve been and try to grow up and into the older sister role, but that didn’t exactly happen for Scarlett. She managed to fit right in at school, doing what she’d done before, wearing her detentions like a badge of honour. It’d got to the point that she wasn’t acting out for the sake of gaining her parents attention, but rather because it’s all she was familiar with, and the negative repercussions in no way weighed up to all the positivity being a little terror brought- the friends, the eyes watching her, all the park adventures and play dates she was invited to- it was great. When she was around ten she’d noticed the distinct lack of her mother in her life- being able to look back now on a few memorable childhood moments she often can pinpoint her dad being the one to attempt to wrangle her into a decent daughter or attempt to discipline her, with her mother being busy with her career or just with the younger kids. The fact alone annoyed Scarlett, from what she’d seen through her friends mums were supposed to be there, doting on kids, forcing them to eat the last of their veggies, brushing their hair- the closet she had to somebody doing that was her oldest sisters, who she now found the thrill of running away from when they tried to stop her from doing idiotic things. They were busy with growing up, with schoolwork- and it should be expected that Scarlett, being the third oldest, should follow in their footsteps and become a role model for her younger siblings. It was no longer charming for her to be like she was, a ten year old monster, but she found a thrill in it. Entering her teens, Scarlett fit the wrong crowd like a glove, basking in popularity, cheating on tests, sneaking out to go to parties, it was all so thrilling, so reckless. The older students would invite Scarlett and her friends to the older kids parties, where she got her first taste for alcohol, and her first whiff of love. She’d never really been one for romance, but… she found it kinda hot the way some of the older girl students drunkenly swung themselves around their partners, the way their hips hit the beat just right- while the rest of the girls in her group fawned over the shirtless assholes attempting to fling themselves off the roof into the pool, and it was then she got her first taste of really being interested in girls. She was open about this to her friends, who only grinned and teased her further, pointing out girls in the hall to Scarlett and jokingly asking her if she found them hot, trying to match her up with others, Scarlett would just join in, pointing to an unpopular student and nudging her friend to ‘get in’. Nothing changed, at all. By fifteen Scarlett was invited to parties or to one of her mates places every other week, blowing off family events and gatherings, birthdays, concerts, recitals to go out doing dumb shit with her friends. It was a surprise to everybody that she hadn’t got expelled from school, or caught by the cops for stealing a necklace here, a pack of cigs there. The popular crowd was rewarding, they were all stupid dumbasses who sought out the thrill of just how far they could push their luck. Often Scarlett would come home drunk off her head at stupid o’clock at night, either having walked home drunk and alone or called one of her older sisters to pick her up, causing a ruckus before being wrestled into bed. There were countless times where her phone was taken off her, or punishments were put in place, but she was no stranger to sneaking out, or having people come over to help her out of the café. The night she met her future fiancé was like any other, a highschool party with drunk teenagers at every corner. Her and a handful of her friends had been dancing the night away, amidst playing stupid dares and taking far too many shots, Scarlett wasn’t exactly thinking straight, and so when she saw a girl not enjoying herself, pushing into a far corner looking like she was dressed up for going out for late night starbucks rather than a party that’ll roar into the early morning hours and appeared so out of place that it’d drawn the wild girl right in. Against her better judgment, Scarlett approached the girl, who she’d later find out was a new face to Arciel and invited to the party as a ‘welcome to our school’ kinda schtick. She was pretty- and cute to boot, so the drunken girl decided to try dance with her and get her to enjoy herself, which… kinda worked?! The pretty girl seemed far too uncomfortable being around so many people, so Scarlett had dragged her into the kitchen, where she proceeded to attempt to dance with her, grabbing her hand and spinning her around, and around… and around- which made Scarlett fairly nauseous, to the point she had to excuse herself to go straight to the loo, ignoring the couple making out in the bathtub to empty her stomach contents. To Scarlett’s surprise, the girl actually followed her and was seemingly worried? Most of her other friends would just giggle and leave her in the bathroom to herself, and yet this stranger who she’d literally dragged off was rubbing her back and holding her hair back?! The girl would later, after ensuring she was okay help her down some water before taking her home early, despite her drunken insistence to stay and down another shot of vodka the girl was more worried about Scarlett’s state than anything else. After being able to coax the Bell address out of the drunken girls mouth. Needless to say, her sisters were surprised she was home earlier than usual, and for once being brought back by a classmate. The classmate was quiet and slightly introverted Chinami, who after that day seemed to be trying to avoid Scarlett for reasons unknown to her. Scarlett tried constantly to grab her attention, to get the meek girl to look in her direction, to come to a party, she wasn’t used to being avoided, or ignored, and had no idea what to make of it. Her friends had tried to get Scarlett to forget about Chinami, but for some reason the blonde kept getting drawn back to her. It got to the point Scarlett hung out by Chi’s locker to try get her to notice her, she’d try to figure out her schedule (to no avail) and just… talk to her, but nothing worked- the girl would duck her head and scatter off. It wasn’t until the next party Scarlett attended that she found Chinami against, who’d been dragged there by some of her own friends. Scarlett had approached the girl, rather angry that she hadn’t paid any attention to her and had been ignoring her, but… the girl seemed apologetic. Apparently she wasn’t fond of popularity and some of Scarlett’s friends had been picking on her and she hadn’t exactly wanted to hang around somebody whos friends were like that. Scarlett had been taken aback- especially at the fact her friends had been assholes to the new girl? Scarlett had confronted the girls, who just giggled and claimed that Scarlett was too cool for her anyway, nudging her and asking her the blondie had a lil’ crush. She didn’t like that, at all- maybe Scarlett did have a bit of a crush but she hadn’t exactly realized it then, she’d only gotten pissy at the girls, skulled half a bottle of a randoms beer and told them that she’d throw hands at whoever picked on Chinami next. After that, Chinami at least began interacting with Scarlett more, albeit hesitantly. She hated having eyes on her but Scarlett seemed like a decent person, if not loud and kind of a bitch to anybody who tried to tell her off for hanging around Chinami when she was supposed to be in class. She spent more time with the girl than with her friends, and would take her around to show off the town, for most parts, Chinami was quiet, albeit sweet. She grew to care for the loud, foolish Scarlett who would uselessly try to impress her by throwing words around, cursing out anybody who attempted to approach Chinami or said something about how Chi was a downgrade from her usual friends- the girls was text daily. Chinami ended up more often than not having to rescue Scarlett from dumb situations, like getting too drunk at a party, or accidentally getting left behind at the mall after dark after her friends drove off without her, she was always there, with gentle assuring words and hugs. It was when Scarlett turned 16 that she asked out Chinami, however the girl was… fairly hesitant. She liked Scarlett, sure, but the girl was a handful and she was constantly chasing her to ensure she was okay- that and if they did start dating it’d become the one thing the school cared about, whispers of Scarlett being an awful influence perhaps being brought around… Scarlett gave her time to think about it, and after a few days the deal was sealed. She never announced she was dating Chinami to her family, so until one of her sisters walked in to her room and caught the girls mid-kiss it was only assumed they were best friends. The two became almost inseparable after. Chinami always over at Scarlett’s place, or Scarlett and Chinami’s. Scarlett at this point was practically flunking school, and almost got kicked out, had it not been for Chinami deciding to help tutor her. To anybody outside of the duo, like her family, it might have been seen as Chinami taming the beast that was Scarlett, however the girl still was reckless. She’d get into fights for no reason, start yelling at the dinner table when her mum refused to show up for months at a time, she was constantly angry at those around her, teenage angst hitting hard. She’d throw around how she was the failure of an older sister, the biggest disappointment. She’d skip shifts at the cat café, stay at her girlfriends past curfew, anything to piss them off and get her anger known. Chinami was patient, but it got to the point just before graduation that the girl had to pull her aside and give her a stern talking to- she couldn’t keep up with Scarlett, and if the girl refused to change and kept dragging her around, kept unloading all her issues and heavily relying on her? They were over. At first, Scarlett hadn’t taken Chinami seriously, at least not until the girl broke up with her over yet another drunken fight with a stranger at a party- and Scarlett was a wreck. It was barely two days before she went back to Chinami, though stubborn Chinami was the one person she truly cared about, and the last thing she wanted was the girl out of her life. She promised to change, but she needed Chi’s help. Chinami was thankful, and welcomed her back in. It would take time, if not years for Scarlett to grow- she still acted out at home, though Chinami had begun to slowly bring her along to family events, introducing herself and attempting to guide conversation with Scarlett so she didn’t end up insulting somebody or being a flat out bitch. She’d work shifts at the cat café along with Scarlett in an attempt to help the girl get used to routine- some people didn’t understand why Chinami bothered, but Chinami would say that she truly loved Scarlett, that Scarlett meant well and just sought to be cared for. Chinami, having been brought up in a strict, traditional Kantonian household was willing to help her, if only to adore seeing the stupid grin on Scarlett’s face when Chinami complimented her and gave her flowers. The two were stupidly in love. Scarlett had flunked school in bass and spent most of her days either at the cat café or with her girlfriend, however Chinami had began to become busy, working with local florists and gaining experience to reach her own dream. Scarlett had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. It wasn’t until Chinami introduced her to free trial courses at the nearby university that she’d begun even trying things out- she went from electrician classes to beautician courses, being god-awful at them and finding them utterly boring, to trialling a nurse taster and… actually… finding it fairly interesting. Chinami, seeing the girls mild interest encouraged her to study it further, however Scarlett found it difficult to interact with the customers. If they complained too much she’d get mad, she barely had the patience to sit through somebody crying- she didn’t know how to deal with it but… Chinami was proud of her for trying, and there by her side to egg her on. Slowly as she was able to take a step back from who she was, Scarlett was able to see exactly how awful she’d been. Though she still couldn’t forgive mum, she was less aggressive with the rest of her family, carrying a certain guilt with her for the hell she’d put them through and promising she’d at least try better. Unexpectedly in Feb of 2020 Chinami proposed to Scarlett. It was a spur of the moment decision, when Scarlett had been dropping Chinami off after a regular date night at the movies. She’d stated that she hadn’t wanted to wait, because being with Scarlett felt right and she knew that Scarlett was the one for her. There was no point delaying the inevitable, even if they were young it was something that just clicked. Scarlett, both very damn surprised and ecstatic agreed immediately. Of course, they hadn’t planned to get married anytime soon, since the duo weren’t financially stable and both were still living with their families, but it was something, and gave Scarlett the little push that was needed to make her want to do even better in pursuing nursing. She hadn’t exactly planned to tell her family about the engagement, in part scared of their reactions, and in another because she didn’t wanna overshadow her sisters pregnancy- however wearing a ring around the house when she didn’t necessarily wear much jewellery was a dead give away, and all at once the family was abuzz with the news. Questions of wedding planning, of bridesmaids, all that stuff that Scarlett didn’t even really want to begin to think about began circling around, and the girl couldn’t be more uncomfortable- though she’d tease her siblings with it she just… hadn’t proceeded it much herself yet. Scarlett wanted to continue bettering herself, she was already doing bad at her job and disappointing her superiors because of her lack of people-skills, so her now fiancé had suggested that… maybe she get her own pokemon partners? If she could learn to deal with and befriend pokemon, then surely she’d be able to do the same with patients, no matter how difficult they were to deal with. Which is how she got to today. Goals Scarlett wants to make up for how shit of a person she was in her past and learn to be a better person, one of her biggest goals is to learn to be less of an asshole. She also wants to further grow from being a trainee nurse and figure out which branch of nursing she wants to continue down. Ontop of this, she wants to become a full time nurse in order to become financially stable enough to get married to Chinami, the wedding and making her girlfriend proud being two of her biggest motivators. Due to her habit of not being the best to pokemon in the past, a short term goal would be to get along with her new partners and hopefully be able to get along with them- because if she's able to get along with and manage pokemon of her own, then surely she'd be able to deal with patients and people? |
Appearance
Height 5'5" / 165cm Build Lithe Hair Color Blonde Eye Color Light Lime | Scarlett used to think of herself as a blonde bombshell- simply for the fact she was blonde and believed herself to be reasonably pretty. Soft pink lips and eyes that always seem to be narrowed in a sly glance or a glare. She has very thin eyelashes, which probably got fairly damaged due to her makeup habits from when she was young and lathering them in mascara. She's quite pale and thin, and has a lot of trouble keeping weight on. She's littered with large freckles mainly down her arms, stomach and legs, with a few creeping up her neck and on her cheeks. She's easily taken victim by the sun and when out and about either wears caps or wide-brimmed hats. Scarlett doesn't have a set clothing style- one day she might be dressed down in trackies while another day she might be dressed to the nines in a plaid scarf and an outfit that looks right out of the 2018 vogue. It just depends if she can be bothered attempting to look decent or not. She has a bad habit of stealing her fiance's clothing to wear, and Chinami has a very modest and cute style, often buying her looks from Instachu from what other creators recommend which often means she can be seen with fairly 'modern' clothes and the latest trends on without really realizing. Aura A muddy grey circular aura that constantly bursts or jolts with a vivid yellow colour breaking it's surface, making the aura momentarily ripple white with every yellow pulse before returning to its grey colour. |
