Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself? Her blue eyes look thoughtful, lips pursed together as she thinks. Eventually she grabs her notepad and gets to writing her reply. In an awkward display, her free hand is at her side as she 'thinks out loud' by signing to herself. "Describing myself is quite hard, as sometimes I don't know myself. I was sheltered a fair bit in my life due to my 'disability' and I missed out on some important aspects of a childhood because of it. There are still so many things I don't know, but I love to hear or see new places and things. I consider myself to be quite caring and friendly if you are willing to get past the fact that I speak through my hands or a book. Though I don't always know how to react when people approach me, sometimes it actually makes me quite anxious." She smiles at the man doing her interview, before making a soft and breathy giggle. Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? Sonia gives another chuckle at this, quickly signing to the interpreter that they had found for her. "When I was young, I got sick quite often. Or sometimes I got bullied and hurt. I remember how much it hurt, and how much is missed out on because of it. So I want to help both humans and Pokemon, or at least make their stay at a hospital better if that's the case. My father was also training to be a doctor for a time, however he realized he was too squeamish so I want to help people in his place. I also feel like I owe it to him and all the nurses and doctors who tried to help me." Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? This was where Sonia's frown faded for a moment, her fingers fidgeting nervously before she was signing again. Her gaze not quite able to meet the interviewer's for the duration of her speech, she couldn't tell if it was out of embarrassment or worry. "My mother liked to travel, and still does. But this is the one place we never visited. So this would be the best location for me to start over fresh. Where I get the best chance to find out who I am as a person." What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. This was another mean question, and Sonia never did like talking herself up. She wasn't the most insecure, but she also didn't have the greatest self confidence either. Slowly her hands formed the signs needed to answer the question. "I'd have to say how caring I can be towards anyone. I can also learn pretty quick, and I'm adaptable in most situations and I can decide quickly what I can or can't do if it's to help others? Does that count?" What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! Her eyebrows raised in surprise, her hand coming to her mouth as her silent laughter shook through her chest. "Depends on who you ask!" Her hand went through the motions of signing, even if it was stuttering with her laughter. "The inability to speak for one. And I guess sometimes I can be too caring and it just comes off as being too pushy. I don't have the best social skills and freeze up when talking to others. I guess you could also say I'm a little naive to how the world works, I try to see the best in people even if it maybe isn't there." She stopped and shrugged. "Need me to continue? Oh! I can be sarcastic even though I don't try to be!" What was your childhood like? How was school? They were really trying to dig into her past weren't they? She supposed it made sense, this was still a license after all. It was still a legal document. But did they really have to dig into such a sensitive topic for her? Probably. With a sigh she was grabbing her notepad so she could think of the words clearly before they were signed where she could no longer take them back. "My childhood wasn't very exciting. As a child I got sick easily so I didn't get to go to school. My dad got the certifications needed to homeschool me. It wasn't until I was sixteen that I started getting sick less and I was able to take courses to make sure I was learning everything properly." How is your relationship with your family? Even understanding that this was just part of a process, but Sonia still did her best to keep a smile on her face as she signed for the interpreter. "My relationship with my mother is near non existent for reason I do not feel comfortable saying. However my relationship with my father is good. We send each other a good morning text every day which usually sparks up a conversation if one is us is late or misses texting the other. Quite often we share anything interesting that happens as it happens." Sonia pauses to smile quite fondly, her eyes starting to water slightly which she wipes away. "I email or text other family members every so often, but it's going to be the hardest to be far from my dad. I'm going to miss not actually being there to hug him, you know?" But she wipes at her eyes, taking a deep breath to compose herself so she can continue the interview. What do you like to do for fun? Oh! Now this was something she felt a bit more comfortable with, she would just have to be sure not to mention her powers, that was still something she wasn't comfortable telling people, she would only talk to her dad about them. For now. "My hobbies are things that most people would consider boring, so bear with me please." Her lips turned up into a cheeky smile as she signed. "I very much love reading, especially when you read and the scenes are playing in your head like a movie. Or when you feel li,e you're transported to new worlds." She pondered a moment. "I also like doing yoga, and dancing. Cooking, both are very relaxing or energizing. And going for walks, especially after it rains, when evrything smells clean and fresh." Sonia blinked and tilted her head. "That does answer the question right? There are still so many other things I want to try, but my past experiences were limited due to illness or lack of stamina." What are your feelings on romance? Blue eyes widened considerably, pink dusting her cheeks and nose with a hand covering her mouth. Her feelings on romance?! Where they really allowed to ask something like this?! She cleared her throat, blush still evident on her face as her hand moved away to begin writing on her paper. "I'm inexperienced in romance, however I do understand the birds and the bees. As for romance itself, it is meant to be a beautiful thing if you and your partner are compatible. Though I don't really have a preference as to who or what I'd want to look for in my own partner. Though I wouldn't be surprised if I made a mistake in the difference between love, crush or just close friendship." She was still blushing as she finished writing and showed her answer. What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. "Nothing too extravagant." Sonia signed, her mind already going over what she would consider goals. And certainly, everything seemed quite small. "For short term, I would like to focus on my training as a nurse so that I can begin helping people and Pokemon alike. For long term, I think I'd like to maybe own my own farm, or maybe try out my pokeball making skills. But mostly I would like to try and make some friends along the way." She signed after a long, thoughtful silence. If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? "Does it have to be a type combination we know?" Sonia immediately asked, waiting for a response before nodding. "I think I'd be psychic and grass, or psychic and flying. Psychic because to me, they seem like the best Pokemon one can communicate with. And if I had psychic powers, I'd be able to talk to others." Another thoughtful pause. "As for Grass, I see them as the types know for their healing abilities and moves, or flying as they have the ability to have the most freedom with the power of flight. Now if I wre to pick a species, I think I'd say I'm a Cherubi or Cherrim. They are small, and seemingly quite delicate, but if given a chance to bloom they can show their strength." What do Pokemon mean to you? Sonia frowned, this interview sure was full of tough questions. Perhaps if she could have spoken out loud it would have been less awkward. If she could speak perhaps there would be less silence that was only occasionally broken up by voices or the scratch of pencil on paper. In this case it was the latter as Sonia thought out her answer and wrote neatly on the paper. "To me, Pokemon are partners. They are a chance to grow beyond what we currently are and what we as humans could with just other humans to help with." Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? Sonia just simply smiles and shakes her head lightly before signing her thanks to them for their time before she's grabbing one of her braids to play with while she walks out of the room. Then heaves a heavy sigh, glad that what she had deemed as a confrontation was finally over.

Sonia is a short, slender girl. While she may not be completely underweight, she is still borderline to this day. She tries her hardest, but she just isn't capable of eating enough to gain any serious amount of weight, her stomach can't handle it and usually eating some sort of fast food causes her to be sick. So visibly she is quite boney, especially with her collarbones, hips and ribs. She tries what she can though, snacking on fruits, vegetables and berries when she isn't actually hungry. Her skin is quite pale, easily bruised or scarred. Her blue eyes are vibrant though to go with her blonde hair. The locks up front and to the side are cut short, however remains long in the back. Incredibly long, long enough the tips go past her waist and end around mid thigh. She keeps it braided and neat, the ends tied with long barrettes made of green and blue hair ribbons. For clothing Sonia prefers items made of a light material, usually mixing the neutral beinge tone with blues and greens. Her favorite shirt is beige with open shoulders, exposing her collarbones, and green accents. It has long sleeves that open wider at the wrists. The shirt is also long, intended to be more of a tunic with a slit at the sides. She ties a blue sash around her waist to keep it closer around her body, this also holds her notebook she always carries with her.. The sash also ties into the blue leggings that she typically wears with the top. She doesn't like wearing darker colors as she feels that they make her look very sickly looking which is something she is trying to get past. She does have other clothes, usually sticking to white, beige, blue or green for the colors. Aura Sonia's aura isn't quite colorless, but it is somewhat transparent or see through. One could think of it as clouds or mist as it swirls around her body. It most definitely swirls, like she is caught in a vortex of wind or water. The color appears white, when it's gathered into a larger stream it looks more like a light blue.

In fact, Sonia's mother blamed her father for the abilities. This is one of the main reasons that Sonia doesn't like to tell people she is a psychic and why she trained herself so hard to make sure she could control her powers. She didn't want to cause her father anymore trouble. She is also mute, though can make some very soft, breathy sort of sounds.
