3am November 5th - Arciel Time 1011 words
Arietta was phone-less, upset and tangled amidst a fray of emotions, but that couldn't stop her from finding distractions, from finding something to do. And that something was train her pokemon! Sonore and Aumia were more than excited at the idea, the duo adored training individually with Arietta- because typically it involved a lot of dancing, laughing and stumbling over each other until the sunset, but this time it was a little different- they'd never really trained together, but Arietta, despite the mood she was in, was entirely keen to change this.
".Oooookay..." Arietta pushed through a few bushes, holding them to the side to allow her two mons to shove their way through before their favoruite spot in the training grounds- a large tree stump- came into view. Aumia let out an excited squeak, rushing forward before the other two could even thing and jumping onto the stump, eyes sparkling and giddy to make a start. Sonare, though hesitant as he glanced from Arietta to Aumia moved forward.
Arietta stayed quiet for a few moments as the duo simple watched her, anticipating her next move. "Okay little dudes, we're gonna do something... like...fun..." Her hand moved as she began ruffling through her bag, pulling out a small ipod that her mother had lent her- after much tiresome deliberation obviously- and holding it high above her head. "We don't have much, but you know that we've got some training to do."
No. The duo didn't. They looked at each other, confused, before glancing back towards Arietta. Said girl let out a soft, albeit forced laugh. Of course they didn't get it- of course they didn't. "So, y'know how we always dance together, right?" She watched the two mons reactions, moving close to sit next to them on the stump, "But it's never just you two- we gotta practice synchronization so when you two are back on stage you shine and sparkle- you'll get everybodies attention and make the crowd go wild!" She wiggled the ipod in her hand, "So, we'll do a few things. We'll have to do a few warmups, which is obvious, then maybe we'll practice using moves, theeen we can do some dancing, how about that?"
At her words the duo let out excited cries, for the most bit this sounded like fun! Aumia hopped on the spot while Sonare moved to press a hand on Arietta's arm, blinking a few times at her and letting out a soft cry- oh right... she hadn't specified. "I won't be dancing with you, i'm just... a little outta it at the moment, is all!" Aumia stopped jumping, gaze falling back to her trainer as she let out a soft cry. Guilt flooded through Ariettas system but she shook her head.
"Just a little tired, it'll be fine! You know what idol life's like, we're tired all the time and drama chases us! A...Ha..." With that, Arietta moved to slide off the log, wondering backwards a few steps before waggling her winger at the duo before her, a glimmer in her eyes. "But but but, that doesn't matter right now-" at least it was a half truth, right? "We've got warmups to do, you two!"
She quickly began flicking through the ipod as her two pokemon waited, chittering among themselves as she surveyed her mums playlists- they... weren't really the type of songs she'd listen to, but if they had a beat it didn't matter! Shuffling... shuffling- Kings of Lairon, she could go with this!
Putting the ipod down and ensuring it was connected to her speaking the girl took her place infront of the stump. "We've been through the warmups before, so just try follow along orrr just jump to the beat, whatever you wanna do guys!" She raised her hand before pumping it down to her chest. "Let's uh... do this!"
Suddenly this song began playing and Arietta began moving. First and foremost, simple jogging on the spot, one fot,, two foot- back and forth to a slow, gradual pace. Sonare easily kept up, lifting his feet high up before stamping them down, letting out excited cries every few seconds, while Aumia tried her harded, arms swinging as she run, though more-so in circles than on the spot, it still did the move justice.
Eventually the tone of the song shift and she began simple side stretches, leaning to the left with her hands on her hips, then to the right. Aumia, who's arms were tiny, couldn't reach her hips, so she ended up leaning left and right with her arms outstretched, while Totodile just began attempting to do starjumps instead, not really liking stretches himself, which was fine!
After a plethora of runs, stretches and even a few spins the song came to a close and Arietta attempted to smile at the duo, though she was quite obviously puffed from all the moving. "G-Good job guys!" She moved in with an outstretched hand and the two eagerly slapped in in a highfive, Aumia jumping up and down on the spot while Sonare let out an eager cry. Next would be a tricky part, but Arietta had high hopes.
Move coordination could, and probably would be tricky, so she probably would have them go over using moves first and then see if there was any way to combine them- or maybe integrate them with dance? It'd be fairly tricky, she was pretty aware of this, but, if done well? She'd hopefully be able to pull off something good between the two of them, and they could bond more!
Now, wouldn't that just be great? Arietta's hands clapped infront of her as she got her breath back, "Okay, now the fun bit, move practice!" Aumia, though, was all about dance, and a cry of hesitate left her lips. Arietta attempted a comforting smile at her, "It'll be fun, Mi-Mi! I promise~" Let's just truly hope that Arietta was able to hold up to her promise, or else move practice could really end up being a disaster.

Move practice, move practice. Truthfully, Arietta was terrible at battles, she of all people knew this, and remembering what moves looked pretty was was different that remembering the moves that actually were effective, so she'd try going about practicing both, probably. It sounded reasonable enough, and hopefully it gave her Dedenne and her Totodile time to practice what they were able to work on. She was just going to have them either battle each other or throw themselves at random objects around the area- maybe even the tree stump. But suddenly there was a noise from nearby why had startled Aumia, who quickly hopped off the stump and hid behind Arietta, a terrified squeak leaving her lips as she quivered.
Oh no- what was that?! Sonore, her Totodile, was right up on his feet, like a moth to a light- he was going to figure out what that sound was! He loud out a strangled cry and he toddled his way towards a bush just past Arietta's vision, and the girl let out a few strangled hesitant noises in an attempt to get Sonore to stop- however it was no use. Grabbing Aumia and rushing forward, Arietta followed in Sonore's footsteps until she noticed a Cubone waggling his bone into Sonore's face, the two standing infront of a bush- for a split second Arietta was terrified, what did this skull wearing mon want- until she realized... oh, she could use this.
A wild Cubone has appeared!

This could work perfectly for battle practice! If there were pokemon around then she could get Sonore to battle against one, then Aumia, and maybe see if she could get them to work together to take another lot down! That sounded honestly like the best approach she could go for. Clapping her hands with a smile that was a little too eager on her face Arietta called out to Sonny, "It's okay, Sonny! We can battle this Cubone, but you're gonna need to try really hard, okay?"
Her voice seemed to have got the attention of both the Cubone and her pokemon, who were staring at her, confused. Aumia had moved to chill at her shoulder to watch the whole thing, her tiny hands holding onto some of Arietta's hair to support herself. She was concerned but... if Arietta thought she knew what she was doing and had some sort of plan? Who was she to get in Ari's way- especially when they were going to dance afterwards!
"You only have two moves, so we're gonna use em wisely Sonore- look pretty, and destroy!" That seemed to get through to the Totodile, who toyed with his chosen costume for the day before giving Arietta a mock salute- this he could do, easily! The Cubone however was fairly annoyed, and without so much as a warning launched forward, slamming his bone right into Sonore's head with a bone club!
Sonore wasn't thrilled about that, not at all. Said pokemon let out a loud wail, falling backwards onto his butt, but Arietta knew this was only the start! "Sonore, leer!" Sonore got up from the ground, a harsh glare distorting on his face as he attempted to stare down the Cubone. The cubone didn't like that at all either! Another agitated noise left the pokemon as he attempted to use a tail whip, slamming his appendage right into Sonore's stomach-
Arietta didn't expect him to be so strong!? Sonore, however, wasn't going to let this pokemon intimidate him. "Leer, again- scare him silly!" Sonore squared up again, eyelids peering into slits as a strangled noise- probably attempting to be intimidating- left the pokemon's mouth. Cubone, this time, seemed slightly nervous, and went in with a hesitant growl.
Nuh-uh! Now that the Cubone's defense was lowered a little Arietta was sure when Sonore went in with his scratches they'd pack an extra boom-pow! "Go for a scratch, but remember to wind back beforehand to hit the best you can!"
Sonore had no idea what that meant, but he knew what a scratch was! He launched himself at the Cubone, claws out and dragging them across the pokemon, who let out a loud wail- it was working! Even when Sonore reeled back and got back to his feet, the Cubone seemed terrified, missing with his bone club.
Onnnne more scratch for good measure would do it, right? Arietta directed Sonore to do it again, and the pokemon was sent reeling backwards, right back into the bush! Ari was more than expecting him to pop back up, especially since he seemed incredibly strong but... he didn't, there was nothing- and a peek into the bush confirmed that Sonore had knocked the pokemon out!
Arietta turned to the pokemon, who was glaring at the bush, a cheer fresh off her tongue, "Look at that, Sonore! You did it, you did good buddy!!" Sonore practically twirled, celebrating his victory with a series of cries, he hadn't done any big battles before, typically just enjoying watching from the sidelines or strutting his stuff, so Arietta was immensely proud. The trio trotted back to their stump and Arietta praised Sonore with a few pats, praising the Tototidle for a few minutes before turning to Aumia.
"Okay, Mi-mi, your turn! You ready to attempt to take something on- I can put on some music for you if that'd make it easier?"
