Shalin stood just outside the metropolis of Plum City, looking across the ocean from a rural beach popular among minors and the elderly. Young adults and middle-aged people preferred the beaches actually within city limits, north of port. The weather was picture perfect - water temperatures in the low to mid-70s Fahrenheit, a few clouds to give her occasional reprieve from the sun. It would be perfect for a trip across the sea back to the mainland. She would be back before the season was over, but she needed to head back. "Come on out!" the girl cried, releasing most of her team into the ocean near the coast. She was dressed for the occasion, too - a light green swimsuit and matching water shoes. She was ready to travel the high seas, and maybe even go on an underwater adventure!
From the four Poké Balls emerged Levy, who was eager to splash Shalin and all of the surrounding Pokémon with a big flop of her breathtaking tail; Vannifar, a massive Tentacruel whose beading eyes popped out of the water, beckoning Shalin to jump on; Classie, an impatient Lapras who stared at Shalin's bag and Pokémon egg she had set a ways up the beach; and finally, Prower, an excited Floatzel quite a bit taller than Shalin was, flaunting whirring tails almost as long as her trainer's legs.
As a gust of wind blew in, Shalin started loading the Lapras up, making sure every pocket of her bag was tightly sealed in case of turbulence. She also tied down the brown and orange Pokémon egg. Knowing what was inside made her more excited - the Pokémon within was the same species as one of her most loyal companions during her Hoenn trip. She wished she could have brought Flit with her - aside from the occasional passing ship, there was no one to harass her for the bug-type's loud noise. Alas, he was still at the plateau near her Secret Base, recuperating alongside Serena. She instead brought a Tropius as her final Pokémon, just in case something happened to the Water-types.
All four Pokémon were appealing, and they all seemed excited to give her the aquatic thrill ride of her dreams...but she could only choose one at a time. Prower in particular seemed most excited, his tails sounding like a boat propeller out of water. Which would be first?
Azur's Party: Tristan the Ralts lv 11 -> 16 Gusios the Bagon lv 11 -> 16 Zeit the Arcanine lv 18 Kuuhaku the Ditto lv 10 -> 15 Llamrei the Galarian Ponyta lv 20 Azura the Dewpider lv 5 -> 10 <EXP Share> The water route... he's not sure if the water route is all that wise to cross without a proper transportation... They're heading to Bass too. That takes... quite a while isn't it? But apparently their acquaintance, Shalin, decided that she would lend them her Pokemons. Aquatic Pokemons... having them definitely felt nice, isn't it? That's why this time around Azur also brought one water Pokemon of his own... Azura the Dewpider. The jolly Dewpider began drumming on a water sphere she made happily as Azur let her to come out for the meantime.
Kuuhaku the shiny Ditto would look at Shalin's Pokemon before suddenly shapeshifted to match their look, except Shiny. They seem trying to memorize the other Pokemon's looks, before returning back to their original form. Azur can't help but to chuckle a bit. They're definitely... a mysterious one. Three of his original crews are here too. Tristan, Gusios and Zeit... and the last one is the latest addition from his teacher, Llamrei the Galarian Ponyta. That completes his six.
Azur at the moment is dressed with beach parka that he doesn't bother to zip up and swimming trunks. He also got a swimming goggles just to brave the seawater splash.
"Thanks for letting us borrow your Pokemons for today's journey, Shalin," Azur thanked the wild rider. "Kuuhaku isn't surf trained sadly, but they're doing their best. Anyway, you guys! Before you enter the water, make sure to eat the rare candies first!"
Five each for Gusios, Tristan, Kuuhaku and Azura. Zeit and Llamrei are too high leveled at the moment, so the're not getting any for the meantime.

It was a beautiful day, to say the least; and as Ettie headed out onto the beach, her pack - including an egg - in tow, it was easy to see that every one was in a good mood. Adhara and Sirius would be in the lead, the two young Yampers yipping and yapping as they approached the edge of the waves that lapped at the sand! Sirius, curious, would pounce at one of the waves - only to end up splashed in the face, yelping a little in surprise. Adhara, meanwhile, would simply sigh; remaining at the edge of the waves, so as to avoid being splashed too hard.
Pierre and Aurien, meanwhile, would be next - the longlegged Furfrou and aquatic Popplio both joining Shalins' water pokemon in the shallows. Aurien, being a water type, took to swimming with ease; simply allowing himself to float and bob amongst the waves. Pierre, meanwhile, seemed to have some practice with swimming; given that the Furfrou enjoyed it as a passtime, and as a way to cool off during warm days like these. He was simply paddling about in the shallows to warm up, while the others caught up and prepared to get moving.
Finally, there was Ruffian, Ettie, and the egg that the young girl was carrying. Ruffian didn't look entirely impressed by the ocean - he knew that he wasn't made for swimming, and he certainly wasn't going to tempt fate by trying, but the ocean was also just a lot of water. What was the appeal to it, that had humans swarming the beaches like they did? Regardless, he would follow at Ettie's heel, as the young girl carried a Rookidee egg in her arms; bought from a breeder, before they left.
Though Anne and Ettie were normally inseparable though, the Rockruff would be benched for just this ride; she did not like the water one bit, and Ettie didn't want to stress Anne out too badly by trying to bring her along for the ride.
As Azur spoke up, to thank Shalin for letting them borrow a ride from her pokemon, Ettie would speak up as well - smiling brightly. "Yeah! Thank you, Shalin!" She'd chirp happily; picking up a pace a little as she moved into the shallows. "They all look really cool, eheheheh...!" There were a variety of pokemon here - primarily water types, but there was a Tropius as well...! In particular though, Ettie couldn't help but eyeball Levy and Prower both - the two of them seeming particularly interesting to ride, for the young girl. Who should she hop on, for the ride...?
Curiously, she'd glance over to Azur and co - to see what he would have in mind, for their ride across the waters.

Shalin, too, had come prepared - she had dug a pair of water goggles out of her bag before loading Classie up. "Thanks," Shalin smiled, eager to share her joy of riding with her two new friends. "And thanks for keeping me company - it's a long trip despite how quick these Pokémon are." Prower waded into the water, then flipped his tails out of the water and whirled them about again, sending drops of water flying everywhere around him at high speeds. Unlike her overland Pokémon, none of her aquatic Pokémon wore riding gear. Classie had a natural "saddle" in the form of her shell, but she felt the rest of her team didn't need it.
"A Ditto?" Shalin remarked upon seeing the shiny Kuuhaku transform into each of her Pokémon one at a time. "It's like having all the Pokémon you've ever seen, all at the same time! Not gonna lie, I'm a bit jealous." At least the girl was honest and upfront about it. She watched Azur feed his team - all of them looked impressive, especially the strange-looking Ponyta. It was some kind of regional variant she hadn't seen much of. She wondered how fast it was. Maybe she would be able to find out back on the mainland? It seemed like the three would be traveling together for a while.
"Well, it seems like Ettie has her eyes on Levy and Prower," Shalin noted aloud, somewhat speaking to Azur and Ettie as she walked toward the excited Floatzel. "I'm planning on giving all four of them some time with me during our trip. Levy could carry you both if you wanted - he's a big one. Classie's a bit fast for a Lapras, but might be the easiest of the four to ride. Vannifar just loves attention." The blonde waded into the light waves, Prower resting his tails as soon as Shalin touched the swift water-type's shoulder. "I'll give you all a chance with each of them if you want, but I've been waiting to take Prower here for a swim for months."
Zeit would be a bit disappointed that this time Anne isn't around, but he does understand. He, too, does not like water, but not to extent of the rock Pokemon! He would walk to the shore a bit before tapping his forepaw against the water, testing the sensation. Hmmm, not too shabby, he thought. But it's sticky, and he hates the sensation. If it were a normal water, he probably would have tolerate it better. Llamrei neighed at him as she approached, like asking what he did. Zeit simply barked back, answering. The two Pokemons communicating was quite the interesting sight. Despite the volume (of voice) difference, the two does not seem to mind. Zeit does not have "small / indoor voice", while Llamrei does not seem to have "outdoor voice", yet the two can communicate well without it making any side uncomfortable due to the volume difference.
Kuuhaku the Ditto would also transform into Yamper, into Lillipup, into Furfrou and finally Popplio before settling back again, seem to be satisfied to know some new forms. It rapidly transforms into several forms in such short amount of time seem to be its way to familiarize itself with its new forms.
"Dittos are really rare aren't they," Azur mused. "I was lucky with Kuuhaku. I bought a Pokeball, and apparently one of them was actually this Ditto. He slipped in, and then bonded with me somehow. He's a bit lonely though, so he often.... copies another pokemon's form just to socialize with them better..." Azur poked the Ditto's body gently. It seem to wobble in happiness.
"I'll ride the Lapras, then," Azur commented. "Classie was it? I'm hoping to get a Lapras of my own, so... It would be really appreciated if I could get a pointer or two. Ettie, errr... please, please ride safely, alright? Safety first."
...Safety first, yeah... safety.
He would collect all of his Pokemons first before reaching the Lapras in hope to pat it so it would warm up to him some.

"Of course!" Ettie would chirp in response to Shalin; a bright and happy smile on her face. "You're fun to travel with! You have all sorts of cool big pokemon; and you're so good at riding them all, too!" It made Ettie wonder just how much fun it'd be, to ride around on the larger members of her pack, once they got big enough; like Anne, or maybe even Duchess or Princess! Speaking of which... "... Could you teach me, how to ride arou-"
Briefly, Ettie would be cut off from her question; squealing and laughing in surprise as Prower spun his tail, and ended up spraying everyone in the vicinity, including herself! As her laughter died down, she would wipe the water droplets off of her face; grinning happily, and continuing "- A-Around on pokemon like you do, sometime?" As Ettie asked the question, she would pair it with hopeful puppy eyes, gazing up to Shalin. "Pleaaaaase?"
Meanwhile, there was Zeit - who was poking about at the edge of the water. Adhara and Sirius, still at the water's edge, would watch him curiously - wondering what he was up to - before the bluefurred brother would approach, yipping. Come on; the water was fine, Sirius would bark! There's nothing to be afraid of, come play with us! Insistent, Sirius would gently hold onto one of Zeit's paws with his mouth - lightly tugging, trying to coax the Arcanine to come play amongst the waves with them. Being that they were still very young, it was likely that Sirius didn't understand Zeit's uncertainties over water as a fire type!
As Kuuhaku began cycling between a few different forms though, it would catch Adhara's attention; the more careful Yamper tilting his head at them curiously. What were they up to? Were they practicing new forms...? Slowly, Adhara would approach Kuuhaku, gesturing a wave with his paw in a calm and quiet greeting, before settling down nearby to watch what the Ditto was up to.
Ettie, meanwhile, giggled and nodded a bit in agreement with Shalin. "Kuuhaku is really cool; they can turn into a whole bunch of things, whatever they want, whenever they want!" She'd chirp, gently patting the Ditto on the head, and giggling at the feel of patting what was, essentially, a sentient blob.
Then came the question of getting ready to go, and getting situated on their respective rides. Shalin wanted to ride on Prower, and Azur wanted to ride on Classie; leaving Levy, Vannifar, and maybe Dondon as the remaining available rides. Seeing as Ettie was already interested in Levy, there was no question as to who she would pick out of the three; wading over to the Milotic, and gently patting her on the side! "Hi there, Levy," She'd greet her with a warm smile - asking "Are you ready to go?"
Taking the time to recall Adhara and Sirius, Ettie would carefully arrange herself on the Milotic's back; mentioning "Just be careful with me and the egg, okay? I don't wanna make the egg too cold, or give Azur a heart attack; eheh..!" Pierre the Furfrou - Level 8 - 5/5 Energy Aurien the Popplio - Level 11 - 5/5 Energy Ruffian the Lillipup - Level 6 - 5/5 Energy Adhara the Yamper - Level 1 - 5/5 Energy Sirius the Yamper - Level 1 - 5/5 Energy Rookidee Egg - 2/3
Classie looked a little impatient as Azur jumped on, the Lapras looking like she was ready to go. She didn't really smile when Azur pat her cool, wet skin either. She just wanted to go. Once Shalin saw he was securely on Classie's shell, she called out to the muscled man. "The easiest way to control a water Pokémon is just lean or shift your body weight in the direction you want it to go. Classie's Ice Shard is perfect if you want to go faster. she'll freeze the water underneath her and just glide across the ice. It looks really fun - you should try it once!" Prower's now-dry tails whirled again, sounding a humming noise much like Flit's wings but not anywhere close to as loud. "Just try to be a little careful with the Egg on her. It'll be okay if some water splashes on it, but it might not make it if it starts to sink."
Ettie seemed particularly excited to take off, begging Shalin to give her riding lessons. Prower and Shalin waded toward her to make sure she was okay with Levy. "Tell you what," Shalin said softly enough that Azur couldn't hear unless he was really paying attention, "if you can make it to the Weeping Forest, let me know. I can give you all the riding lessons you want there, at a place I like to call Shalin's Romping Grounds."
When Ettie expressed concerns about the Egg she was carrying, Shalin reassured her everything will be okay. "It might get a little wet - the way Levy swims, you'll bob above and below the water a lot. I can give you a crash course now, though. Like I was saying to Azur, just lean or shift your body weight in the direction you want to turn. She can turn really fast by spinning around in the water, so be careful not to overdo it. If you want to go faster, squeeze her hard with your legs for a little bit, or have her use her Aqua Tail."
Once she made sure the two were safe, it was time. Prower's tails were still going, creating quite a wake and even blowing some of the dry sand around. "Alright, shall we?" She gently pat her Floatzel's shoulder, the smiling water-type stopping his tails long enough for Shalin to safely climb on. She cupped her hands to get Azur's attention. "We're going!" She grabbed onto the Pokémon's wet fur with both hands. "Yah!" she cried, applying a moderate amount of leg pressure to her mount's sides.
Prower's tails roared behind her, almost like an aquatic motorcycle. The two sped away from the coast, the girl's skin tingling as the power behind the tails caused the Floatzel's entire body to shake mildly. She was used to it from riding Flit around, but ultimately was relieved Ettie didn't choose to jump on the water weasel like she had originally planned. Vannifar was faster than the other two Pokémon as well, chasing after Prower but not being able to keep up with him either. "Yee-ha!" she cried as she had her mount make a sharp turn to the right, then back to the left, circling an annoyed-looking Vannifar while the others caught up. "Ettie, you'll love this!"
Shalin looked back for a moment, seeing a Pelipper that decided the presence of the two strong water-types meant "go look elsewhere" for a meal. Her eyes shifted to the splashing behind her - Prower's tails weren't fully submerged, adding to the intensity of his wake. When out of the water, they were a complete blur. Even with having to push water aside, they were still strong enough to be a complete blur. If only there was a way for her to jump onto them like she did with Levy back at Cherry's beach. Now that would be fun, if she had the skill to do it.
...For some reason, Azur doesn't quite like the sound of Ettie hanging out with Shalin for ride training... how to say, Shalin is definitely well meaning. He would... put her in a "nice person" list but... she somehow a bit... too excitable? And playing by rule of cool a bit too much, which, coupled with Ettie's own tendency to goes overboard, this... causes Azur to worry if Ettie are going to do a lot of tricks like that. He swore he'll get ulcers if she does, so he decided to drop a prewarning just in case.
"...Ettie, if you want to ride, I hope I'll be around to watch and you wear enough safety gear... do you get it, young lady?"
However, he indeed did not hear the words spoken by Shalin.
Zeit meanwhile would whine as Sirius approached and tried to pull him toward the water. 'No, little one,' he would say 'the water is unsuited for me, it's icky, makes my fur sticks and rough. It's also too cold for me'. No one quite knows it other than Azur... but apparently, Zeit have a higher sensitivity toward stimulus. While it makes him able to enjoy positive things better such as patting and bellyrub, this turns negative stimulus such as furs sticking together a bothering bordering beyond inconvenience to him. That's why now he's whining as Sirius pulled him closer to the water. He don't want to be rude to Anne's packmate, but even so, he did not like it!
Kuuhaku meanwhile jiggled as Ettie patted them. Their usual Ditto face looked like in bliss. They really like the attention after all!
"Kuuhaku, with me, alright? Are you alright with seawater?"
The Ditto transformed into a big thumbs up sign before returning back to normal. They immediately transformed into a bracelet next and grabbed tight to Azur's wrist.
"Yeah, that's more like it! Anyway, let's go!"
But before he could even go, Azur saw floating apricorn on the water... what, why an Apricorn? Wait, there are actually TWO of them. Well, immediately Azur ordered Kuuhaku to transform into a bug catching net and grabbed the Apricorn.
"...What are these doing around here?" he mused. "Eh well..."
And first encounter too! Kuuhaku transformed into Pelipper, Popplio then Clauncher. They seems to be very interested on Claunchers, as they stayed as Clauncher for a bit longer than usual before returning to Azur's arm.
"...Hmmm, interesting."
Anyway, Azur took out something from his pocket... Ice Incense. He pressed the button to turn it on. Azur's Party: Tristan the Ralts lv 16 Gusios the Bagon lv 16 Zeit the Arcanine lv 18 Kuuhaku the Ditto lv 15 Llamrei the Galarian Ponyta lv 20 Azura the Dewpider lv 10 <EXP Share>
As Shalin leaned in to near-whisper to Ettie, the young girl couldn't help a bit of a conspiratory giggle; nodding in understanding. The Weeping Forest was a ways out, from what she understood; but if she were to head that way, then she'd need to hit Bass City first anyways, so this journey would bring her just the slightest bit closer! "That sounds great!" She'd whisper back to Shalin, an eager grin across her face as she continued to giggle, as though she had been told a juicy secret or an interesting tidbit of gossip. "I'll come visit, if I go to the Weeping Forest, then!"
Though Azur would also have called about wanting to be around to watch, and wanting her to wear enough safety gear... Ettie couldn't help a giggle, mentioning "Of course I'd let you watch! I want you to see me get good at riding pokemon around, too!" with a cheery smile in the older boy's direction. Although, she didn't exactly comment on the safety gear bit; besides maybe her goggles, she didn't see why you'd need safety gear, as long as you and your ride pokemon could trust to look out for each other! The goggles might be nice for keeping her eyes from getting all dried out from the wind, though...
Meanwhile, Sirius would tilt his head a little, at Zeit's gentle protests; taking a second to process the Arcanine's reasoning for disliking the water. It was icky, made his fur rough and sticky, and was cold, Zeit would say; which prompted a curious look from the young Yamper. Sirius didn't totally understand what made the water icky or too cold - it felt just fine to him! - but... Zeit didn't seem to want to come play in the shallows, so... Maybe they could play on drier sand, instead? No longer pulling Zeit along, Sirius would yap for Zeit to come chase him instead, then, as he ran around on the dry portions of the beach; the sand sticking to his wet paws.
It wasn't gonna be fun to play with Zeit if Zeit wasn't having fun, anyways!
As Shalin instructed Ettie on how to direct Levy, the young girl would nod in understanding; carefully settling herself on Levy's back. Though, as she listened and got settled down, an idea would occur to her as she glanced between her own jacket, and her egg. What if...
... Taking a second to steady the egg between her knees, Ettie would begin to shrug off her jacket; revealing that in addition to the bandages around her neck, there were also clean white bandages over her right forearm, and her left upper arm. Sure, taking off her jacket likely meant that she'd be the one getting cold, as opposed to her egg, but... She wanted to make sure that the little bird inside would be okay! With this in mind, she would begin to wrap the jacket around the egg, and tie the sleeves behind herself; making a makeshift protective sling with which she could keep the egg close and secure, while also protecting it from being splashed by the water.
Giving the sling a cursory tug to test it, Ettie would find her own handiwork satisfactory enough for the journey; smiling brightly to Shalin and Azur as they started setting off! Ruffian would settle himself between Ettie's knees, now that the egg was no longer occupying the spot; looking just as ready to go as Ettie was. With this, the young girl would glance down to Levy - patting the Milotic's side in a friendly gesture - and give a gentle nudge with her heel. "Alright Levy, let's go!" Ettie chirped happily, the chirp soon becoming a gleeful giggle as the Milotic began to move; the two of them following after Azur and Shalin both.
Indeed, with the bobbing of the serpentine pokemon, Ettie and Ruffian both would get a little bit splashed; the Lillipup briefly shaking the water off of his fur, during the peak of one of the bobs. Though Ruffian made a slight grumble at this - taking the time to return to his pokeball, at Ettie's hip - Ettie would simply whoop with glee, clearly having a fun time zipping across the water like this, without a care in the world...! "Ehehehehe, wheeeeeee~!"
Pierre and Aurien, meanwhile, would both be close behind as they swam after the assembled group - Aurien seeming a lot more of a natural at this, given that he was a water type. Pierre, though, appeared surprisingly at ease on the waters; his expression calm and relaxed as he simply paddled along, as opposed to his usual scaredy-cat demeanor. He must really enjoy swimming...
However, before long, something would catch Aurien's attention; namely, another Popplio, who was calmly drifting about! There was a sizeable Clauncher swimming along as well; though the little water-puppy didn't pay much mind to the crustacean, instead coming up to the wild Popplio to greet her with a Bwark! The wild popplio would return the greeting with a bwark of her own; the two seemingly beginning to converse, as they all drifted along.
Though Ettie wasn't too sure what they were talking about, given that she didn't speak Popplio... She could see just the way that Aurien was widely gesturing with his flippers; as if he was being a little bit of a showoff, to this female Popplio. Was Aurien trying to woo this other water-puppy..? In any case, it seemed that the female Popplio was interested; peering to Aurien with an awed gaze, and listening closely to his every bwark. Were Ruffian still out, Ettie was sure that he'd be rolling his eyes; but she, personally, found these interactions adorable!
Before long though, Ettie would decide to pull out a pokeball; whistling to the two Popplios, to get both of their attention. "Hi there! I see you're having a fun time talking to Aurien!" Ettie would chirp to the wild Popplio - to which she bwarked in confirmation. Giggling, Ettie would extend the pokeball; offering it to the wild Popplio. "Do you want to come with us?" She'd ask, smiling warmly "I'm sure Aurien would love to talk with you lots more; and so would the rest of the pack, I'm sure! We can introduce you to everyone, once we reach Bass City, if you'd like! How's that sound?"
As if he had overheard the notion of a new pack member, Sirius would - out of nowhere - pop out of his pokeball, doggypaddling about in the water! Though Ettie was unconcerned about one of the Yampers in the water - given that Pierre had taught them a bit about swimming - it was still a surprising sight, that prompted a happy giggle from Ettie. "I guess Sirius is ready to meet you right now!" Repeat Ball, for my second Popplio!

Azur seemed hesitant to let Classie swim at her own pace, which irritated the Lapras for the first mile or so of the journey. Ultimately she relinquished control to Azur and started to obey his commands a bit more, though she was still reluctant at times. It looked like he was handling the Lapras well, though. Noticing he seemed to be doing okay,
Ettie, on the other hand, looked like she was having the time of her life with Levy. This was just the tip of what the Milotic could do, but if the two egged him on, Azur would have all their heads. Shalin would soon become lost in glee as well, clutching Prower more tightly to coax more speed out of him. His tails roared for a split second before submerging them again, jostling his rider about before she recovered her balance. Once she was confident she could handle the added speed, Shalin leaned to her right, the Floatzel making a quick turn, on a course to race right in front of Azur and Classie. The two of them seemed eager to show off their high speed, Prower swimming quick circles around Classie and leaving a wake that rocked the Lapras and rider back and forth, Shalin crying in joy the entire time she was circling them. As quick as Shalin had come, she left to do the same to Levy, who deeply submerged her long tail when he saw what was going on. The Milotic let out a laugh-like cry as the Floatzel's buzzing tails tickled his skin on a particularly close pass.
After five or so quick laps around Levy, the buzzing stopped, Prower inflating his yellow air sac and drifting alongside the swimming, pink-and-cream serpent. "Wanna give him a try, Ettie?" Shalin asked the breeder with a grin on her face. Before she could get an answer, she caught sight of a pair of Mantine gliding across the water's surface. Having almost no Pokémon that could fight something like that, she tossed a Quick Ball at what looked like the alpha of the two.
"...That was not what I meant," Azur muttered toward Ettie as she said her piece. Speaking of which, ever since Azur treated Zeit with care and love, and also a lot of nutritious food, the previously small Arcanine has reached his full height... or has he? Measuring at 190 centimeters on the shoulder, he was... absurdly tall. Azur can easily ride him due to his own height, but even so... he guess he need to buy saddle and stirrup for him later.
"...Hey, Shalin, do recommend me where to buy saddle and stirrup later."
...He doesn't have strong butts like some tribes do that can ride their Pokemon without saddles... not to mention... Arcanines are fast. He guess he should get a specialized saddle first before anything else. He don't want to broke his hip from the impact. Zeit tends to be very fierce, especially when it comes to battle. There's part of him that imagine Zeit would do the same with race field, and with Shalin around definitely wanted to win against her ride Pokemons. That's why, he... decides that perhaps he should get some safety gear.
Zeit at the moment though seem to be glad that Sirius was fine with him not playing on the water. The canine Pokemon playbowed at the smaller one, tail wagging in challenging pose. You want to play, little one? Then we'll play. He barked and chased Sirius. How does their size difference made up for their speed? Well, for the meantime, Zeit is just taking it easy. The young Yamper is definitely not as strong as he is, and that's fine! He instead will hold back to make it more fun for the young one.
Well, understandably the Lapras aren't so pleased. Azur preferred safety first... and he felt bad about it, but even then... he still don't want to try speeding out of random! ...Only immediately decided that his two companion actually getting on his nerves with how they wanted to show off at him. Well, Shalin mostly...
"...Classie, you want to go fast? Time to go fast," he whispered. "Ice shard," that command probably was only audible to the Lapras, but it should probably make her happier... at least, until another Lapras suddenly appeared! Hey, what on earth? This one seemed to challenge Classie as she goes forward with her own Ice Shard. Could it be that Azur's Ice Incense called it? The Lapras let out a melodious, happy tune as it slides faster. She almost like telling the two that they're doing well... Oh, is this a chance of befriending?
"...Classie is not mine... I'm just a normal Pokemon Nurse. But if you want to come with me... Come!" Azur told the Lapras. He tossed a Dive Ball at it, hoping to capture it! Dive Ball, Go!

One, two, three, and a click; it seemed like the little Popplio would be coming with them! Sirius, being the eager little pup he was, was quick to retrieve the ball; doggy-paddling his way across the water. Once Sirius was able to grab the ball and bring it back to Ettie though, the young girl would smile brightly and pat him on the head; taking the Popplio's ball from him. "Good boy; thank you Sirius!" She praised, to which Sirius yapped happily; hopping onto Levy's back so that he could shake himself off a bit, and return to his pokeball. Aurien, curious to see his newest friend again, would drift alongside Ettie and Levy now; bwarking softly.
Which did raise the question; who in the party was Ettie going to replace, with this new pack member..? Hmm... After mulling it over for a minute, Ettie would soon decide to switch Ruffian out for the Popplio; seeing how the Lillipup didn't exactly appreciate getting wet. "You'll get some more time out with Anne, Princess, and Duchess once we're back on land!" Ettie promised Ruffian, as she sent his pokeball to the PC. And with that...
... It was time to let the little female Popplio back out! Giving the ball a toss, it seemed that the first thing that the little Popplio wanted to do, was to snuggle up to Aurien; bwarking happily all the while! Aurien, in reaction, couldn't help a somewhat flustered bwark in response - seemingly not expecting his newest friend to be quite this affectionate! They both appeared quite happy otherwise, though; swimming alongside each other, as Ettie directed Levy onward, to catch up to Azur and Shalin. As they moved though, it seemed the young girl would be in thought. "Hmm..." She'd hum, watching the female Popplio as she drifted along after Aurien.
"... You need a name... How about Cassie?" Ettie would speak up suggestion; smiling warmly. Cassie might be a little bit similar to Classie, but... This was short for Cassandra! Like from one of her story books! And she was sure that Classie wasn't short for Classandra, right? In any case, it seemed that the Popplio approved of her new name - bwarking and clapping her flippers in agreement. "Cassie it is, then!" Ettie chirped brightly, smiling widely. With that, Cassie and Aurien would swim alongside each other - Pierre watching with a faintly endeared expression, as he followed after the assembled group.
Once Ettie caught up, Shalin seemed keen to show off with Prower's speed; the older woman circling around Classie and Azur a few times, before soon circling around Levy and Ettie as well! Ettie giggled, visibly awed at the Floatzel's speed, and seemingly having fun simply watching Shalin swim about. As Shalin came to a stop at their side though, and asked about whether or not Ettie wanted a turn, well... Ettie's eyes would light up brightly; waiting until Shalin finished throwing a Quick Ball at a Mantine (Shalin seemed wary of them, though they seemed perfectly calm in the young girl's opinion!) to speak up, responding "Yeah! I wanna try!"
As Ettie prepared to trade rides with Shalin, though, it seemed that Azur was ready to go fast with Classie - only for another Lapras to pop up, looking for a race! A third Lapras - a younger male - would be swimming alongside at a more casual pace; though he appeared to be cheering the wild Female on, and lightly sassing Classie, in a melodious tone. Ettie, upon seeing all of this, would giggle cheerily; the wild pokemon out here seemed rather chill and friendly, to say the least!
The Rookidee egg shifting in the sling, though, would soon catch Ettie's attention; glancing down to it, and briefly adjusting the makeshift sling to make sure it was still secure. Azur seemed interested in learning how to ride his own Pokémon, what with the question he had presented Shalin. Not surprising - he had an Arcanine, one of the most coveted Pokémon mounts. The species was a bit "mundane" for her, but she understood why. They were reliable, loyal, and decent distance runners. They also had a fearsome Extreme Speed sprint that was among the fastest of all land Pokémon - so fast that it was another reason she didn't want to like it. While she loved rough-and-tumble rides, she didn't handle extreme raw speed at all well.
"You can get this sort of equipment at just about any tanner," she answered. "They're all over the place in Arciel. Just remember that to make you're Pokémon comfortable, bring them in and have them fitted first. Otherwise it won't be comfortable for you or the rider. You can always ride bareback, and some Pokémon prefer it...especially water Pokémon. You shouldn't need one for a Lapras, though - their shell serves as a natural saddle."
Shalin couldn't help but smile watching Azur and Classie race the wild Lapras, mist forming from their four fins as the two suddenly picked up a great deal of speed, both of them floating on a thin layer of ice and rocketing ahead of everyone else. The sudden acceleration might give Azur a rough time, but the wind in his face had to feel great. Classie seemed to relax a little more as she raced straight ahead, setting up the nurse's capture of the wild one. Good thing her Egg was tightly secured, otherwise it might have fallen into the drink! "I saw that!" Shalin cried as Levy bobbed her completely out of the water with a strong stroke of his tail.
Once the capture was complete, Shalin turned her eyes to Ettie as Prower raised his tails above the water and whirred them wildly fast, relying on his flotation sac alone to stay above the surface. As she helped Ettie switch mounts, Levy raised his tail and caught Shalin with it. He raised his long, blue-scaled tail to the surface, Shalin sitting just in front of it. "Now be gentle Levy, okay?" She was bobbing left and right of the Mllotic's body as she swished back and forth with the long and powerful tail. Once Ettie were to hop aboard, Prower would roar his tails out of the water again, the young one able to feel a tingling sense from the speedy Pokémon's entire body vibrating mildly. It was like with Flit, but far less intense. "Have him let loose, Ettie! Have fun!" Shalin shouted.
Dondon was still flying overhead. Shalin still had her eyes on that second Mantine that appeared to be swimming away. She was not going to let that Pokémon get away. "Use your Leaf Tornado on that Mantine, Dondon!" All it took was one attack to get the Tropius' attention. Good thing she had loaded up Classie with her things instead! While the Mantine was a water-type, it was also a flying-type; Dondon didn't match up against the wild as well as other grass-types did. As the two exchanged wind-based attacks generated by their wings, it was evident Dondon was fighting a losing battle. Suddenly, the Mantine rammed into her Tropius, its wings spread wide. A critical hit! Dondon splashed into the sea, his leafy wings unable to hold him aloft anymore. The rider was quick to reach for both Dondon's Poké Ball and an empty Dive Ball. She recalled the drowning grass-type with one and hurled the other at the Mantine.

"Hmmm, tanner shop is it? Well, of course I know the importance of it being fitted..." honestly, that was the most basic isn't it? Wearing something that too tight or too loose might cause injuries after all! Comfort and most importantly it being fitting would be the most needed qualities of all clothes, and in turn, harnesses.
"Bareback is a bit too wild for my taste... well, some of my taste at least. It's a bit too harsh on the crotch and the butt, especially if your Pokemon is of muscly kind. Lapras shell might need a bit of a padding, but otherwise it's perfect yeah. But anyway, think about this... if your Arcanine is moving as fast as a racing car, surely you want it to not be a nutcracker if he suddenly braked? Do you get what I mean?"
Crass imaginaries aside, Azur noted to get to tanner shop later. He does enjoy the wind though...and although that he's not a skillful rider like Shalin? Boy, he made that up with his strength and dexterity. Plus, he used to be an adrenaline junkie who love to live on the edge. He was stupid then, but that was him... and that part that used to be part of him now just revived. There's a smirk on him as he rides and get used to the Lapras... speaking of the Lapras though...
He managed to capture the Lapras! Score! It doesn't seem to be against going with him too... hmmm, let's see.. in this situation, perhaps he should just send Zeit back until everything has calmed down somewhat? Yeah, he guess that's fine. "Sorry, Zeit. Wait in PC OK? I'll get you back once we reached Bass."
Zeit had this complicated expression. He's happy that he's no longer on water, but at the same time... Regardless, he barked in agreement. Azur will never abandon him, that's good enough for him. Azur called out his Lapras. Now that she's out... he guess he'll name this one...
"Your name will be Lacus."
But just as he thought that was that... a Wailmer suddenly appeared, bobbing up and down, attracted by the race it seems! Lacus cried at Azur, as if trying to introduce them... what was that? Is it related to her somehow? A friend perhaps? Lacus talked at length with the Wailmer, who seem to be a bit subdued.. But in the end, it's seem that Lacus wanted him to catch her too. Hmm, that's fine with him.
"Kay, go, Dive Ball!"
He noted that Ettie seem to be focused on something...
"Hey, Ettie, everything alright?" He asked. another dive ball, catching that Wailmer!
