Jedah Legend , by being very careful, manages to have enough Dexterity to scrub out the pipette without incident. It's taking a good amount of time though.
Primrose Adler slips and drops a pipette into the sink. Crack!
Slow and steady, that's how you do it. Jedah looks a little satisfied, but tired, when the pipette starts to show signs of cleanliness and rinses the residue down the drain easily. He's about to make a comment on how someone Prim's age should be beating boys off of her with a stick, and what's wrong with boys these days, and if he were maybe a little younger -
But he doesn't do any of this because in the next instant he's heard the telltale, but quiet crack of breaking glass. He stills, half-thinking it was from the current object he has in his hands and peers critically at it until he notices what's in the sink and sees that Prim's got nothing in her hands beside him. Slowly, his lips pull into a grin, and he turns to look at her, a smug, satisfied look on his face.
He doesn't say anything. He doesn't have to, and he saves the girl any further torment by going back to his scrubbing, though while humming a lighthearted tune the whole time.

It's a quiet whisper, hardly heard above the sound of running water - but as that pipette falls apart in her hand, a small shard digs into the rubber of her glove. It isn't a terribly bad cut, luckily, but it stings as soap enters the little puncture hole and she has to step away so that she might pull the gloves off and briefly rinse it beneath the water.[break][break]
Was there a hazard kit anywhere? Oh, god, was she going to die? As she stares at it, there's only a faint thin line of red along her hand, and she supposes it could be worse. Forcing herself to relax, she steps away from the counter to replace her gloves... she'd just have to bandage herself up proper later.[break][break]
Were these good lab manners? No. Did she care? Apparently not. Mostly, she just didn't want to cause problems... and so, back to work she goes, albeit with a new sense of care.
The good news is you don't break the next pipette you pick up. The bad news is it was already broken. The tip is more accurately described as a jagged edge, and a grey slime coats the entire inside of the device. This pipette is ruined.
The lab assistant is walking by with their supervisor. They demand an explanation.
They're not far enough away he can't hear the curse that comes out of her, and, more noticeably, it's hard not to see when she has to step away and replace her gloves. His eyes catch sight of the pipette falling apart and hitting the metal of the sink and, frowning, he drops the pipette he's currently holding in the sink and the already broken container breaks further with a distinct sound of breaking glass.
But it's as he's turning to Prim that the lab assistant arrives with their supervisor, both demanding explanations from him as to why he keeps breaking things. Jedah's not unaccustomed to being yelled at and, besides that, both assistant and supervisor are actually a lot shorter than he is, so it's hard to take a lot of their berating to heart. Brutus immediately flies out from where he'd been supervising to alight on the other's shoulder, raising his wings high and squawking out his defense in turn like that would help Jedah avoid any kind of trouble.
The man doesn't look too bothered by this, though, and simply chuckles, looking to Prim beside him and giving her a quick once-over to make sure she's okay. He also checks on the bin beside them and all the clean beakers they've washed so far, and when he turns back to the assistant and their sup in front of him he spreads his hands out sheepishly, giving a lighthearted shrug.
"What can I say, I'm a little clumsy. But I think I've washed enough of these little things today," He adds, reaching out to give the bin a heavy pat. Something inside breaks with a musical crack and he does his best not to wince. Oops. "... enough for a good days work. I'll go ahead and get out of your hair."
Yeah, he's done. It's enough work to get paid, at least, and he'll take what he can get and not risk burning or cutting himself on any broken glass like poor Prim.
So, maybe she feels kind of bad when Jedah starts getting scolded. While most of the broken beakers were, in fact, his fault ... she'd broken one of her own, too, and it takes a lot of her not to just interrupt and state that the blame was on the both of them. Jedah seems to take it in stride, though, which is kind of admirable, honestly. She certainly wouldn't be able to take criticism very well, herself.[break][break]
When all is said and done, hand bandaged and beakers clean, Prim looks rather relieved. Between Jedah's intimidating existence and the fact that the beakers were surprisingly fragile, she didn't think it'd end up being as easy as it all was - but she didn't want to keep doing it, that was for sure. [break][break]
She watches as Jedah tries to play everything off, patting his hand overtop the bin... and flinches when that crack sounds. He seems keen on getting out of there before anything else happens and so too is she, for fear she might get roped into cleaning up his mess. Nope! No sir.[break][break]
"T-Thanks for the job opportunity! Have a good day!" And then she, too, absconds.[break][break]
