Eri stood by the door of her apartment, hands on her hips as she surveyed all the mons that stood before her, eagerly coo'ing and staring up at her with stars in their eyes, excited for their next adventure! Sprite, Facula, Orbit and Tauri were gathered around her, each donning a hand-sewn pokemon raincoat or hat with stars lacing the seams and decorating every inch of them. Facula was a new dad, but he still acted like a baby, eagerly hopping around, excited cries and mewls leaving his lips as he tried to one-up Eri in everything that she did.
Sprite, Orbit and Tauri on the otherhand were different. Each were eager, curious babies, who adored Eri more than anything in the world. Constantly they'd follow her around her tiny apartment and attempt to crawl in her lap whenever she had a chance to sit down- stars- baby pokemon were adorable, weren't they?
Now, however, wasn't a time to fawn. The stars had fated that it was to rain soon, so she had prepped accordingly! She was going to get these mons all used to the rain! It might take a little practice but... if she gave them encouragements, and treats, and patience, they might learn to love it! "Okay, star-guides! Are you ready for a stellar time~?" Her voice was gentle, and the babies all let out a series of cheers- oh- Eri had almost forgotten! She moved to grab at her basket, containing her Raltz egg. Right- she'd have to try get the egg used to it too!
Turning back to glance over her shoulder at her other mons littered around the place, all up to whatever task they felt fit she called out, "Take care of the eggs- and any mess maid is bad for the stars!" before quickly heading out. Umbrella over her head, and hood down for the moment the girl had begun out the apartment, into the shopping district- and right on time, it had begun to spit.
Surely in a few moments the spit will turn into a drizzle, into a pour. And Eri was ready.
Koray hadn't been as prepared and was caught off guard by the sudden fierce rainstorm he'd been caught in. Now soaked to the bone, it was only thanks to Elanor that they hadn't gotten completely lost. Sure, holding a Litwick probably wasn't the best idea given the nature of her flame but at the moment, Koray didn't have a better idea. If he could just get to the pokecenter, they would be able to get out of the rain.
Who knew that a trip to the store for some supplies would turn into something so miserable? "Almost there, just a little further," Koray mumbled, racing in the rain as if that would make the situation any better. It didn't. If anything, it made them get even more wet but at this point, it didn't really matter. Sigh...
At this point, their best bet was to stand under an overhang and wait for the rain to die down... hopefully. Arceus, it had been sunny just a few moments ago. What was with this crazy weather? Hopefully the egg in his bag would be alright... Elanor was doing her best to keep it warm but it was hard on the Litwick to both provide light and keep the egg warm and dry in his bag. Arceus, help us. This had been a terrible idea.
The shopping district unsurprisingly wasn't too packed, those who'd been aware of the upcoming change had locked themselves in their storefronts and decided to call it a day- and who could blame them? Eri absently spun her umbrella around as she hummed, leading the way down the waterlogged Birch street lined with shops and a few stray, rushing people who tried their best to get to shelter before it was too late.
Orbit had taking a liking to the puddles, slamming her full weight into any she could find with an excited cry and creating a muddy mess that Eri would probably have to clean up later- but it was fine! Orbit was who she thought was be more scared out of the quad of mons. Sprite stuck closely by her leg, wanting to stay out of the rain for as long as humanly possible. Facula kept anxiously poking his head out from the umbrella only to jump right back into the protective shield, he didn't like the feel of it- nuh-uh! And Tauri.. well... let's just say the Budew was hiding in Eri's hood.
"See, star guides? The rain isn't so bad!" Eri's cheers met deaf ears as they continued forth, the smell of fresh rain assaulted her nose and help further build the stellar atmosphere around her- oh she just adored days like today! Spinning around on her toes and splashing into a puddle herself, Eri let out a shimmering giggle- even as Facula let out a growl and attempting to shake the water off, while Sprite stuck even closer to her. Exposure was key to getting them used to it, after all!
She'd tucked her egg away in the bag, safe, and warm. It'd be a while until it hatches- but until then, Eri was ready. It took only a few more moments of excitedly chit-chat to her pokemon and insuring Orbit didn't get stuck in a deep puddle that she'd seen a person stranded in the rain a few stores up.
Wait! They were familiar! The stars had sent her here just to help them! Eri let out a loud whistle, bringing her free hand to her mouth as she waves her umbrella about, waiting a second before calling out, "Sirius?! Is that you?!" the girls feet moved before she could think, and she and her rag-tag team of overly dressed pokemon in rain coats and scarves quickly approaches.
Like a chiding mother Eri let out a gasp, taking in his drenched state. This was no way for a star to look! The fates mustn't have alerted him about the up and coming forecast! "Oh my stars!!! Are you alright? You look freezing- that's no way for a star to be!" She moved quickly to usher him closer, attempting to hand over her umbrella. "Haven't the stars ever told you to check the forecast- do you need a coat? A heater?" Tauri had popped his head out of Eri's head upon hearing the familiar nickname, eyes scrutinizing his form before letting out a soft coo, blinking at him. The soaking Orbit had hopped closer, jumping into a puddle near the two humans almost excitedly.
It seemed Arceus had in fact had mercy on them in the form of someone else showing up to help them out. Eri's voice calling out to them had Koray looking up, arms still wrapped around himself in a vain attempt to keep out the chill. "Eri?" Was it really her or was he just seeing things? At that point, he wouldn't put it past himself to start hallucinating with how cold the chill and the rain had made him. A shaky smile came and went from his features as she scolded him. Yeah, he was freezing and only Elanor was moderately helping his current state.
"It was sunny not 10 minutes ago," Koray murmured in protest, "All of the above would be nice..." he replied to the questions, shaking his head at the umbrella. It wouldn't really help his current state, not when he was already soaked to the bone. Seeing Tauri, Koray gave a shaky wave, then the Buneary splashed him with muddy water and he instinctively stepped back. Yeah... this wasn't his night. Quickly checking his bag, he swore under his breath when he realized the egg's blanket had now been soaked through as well.
"Arceus, my egg... Eri, do you have something dry? The blanket's soaked..." Koray asked, feeling a bit panicked even as Elanor tried her best to keep her flame near it. Nothing about this situation was good and Koray wasn't sure what to do at this point.
Stars he looked freezing, utterly freeing. Eri didn't take his no-headshake as an answer and all but pushed the umbrella further towards him, eyes narrowed as if refusing to take no for an answer. The rain was already beginning to take aim at her and the pokemon sheltered around her, and Sprite had run to take cover next to Koray, eyes wide and a squeak leaving his lips. And Koray had said... all of the above?
Eri bounched on her heels for a moment, calculating. A coat- and a heater- and warmth- he needed to get dry, "Anything for the stars." Her voice showed no hesitance as she moved to grab Tauri, gently placing him ontop of Facula, who let out a grumble and swished his tail towards Eri, getting more droplets on her. She quickly undid the belt holding the warm coat together and the bow around the neck before shrugging the coat off, forcing it towards his hands. "Take it, i'm not taking it back, Sirius~"
She didn't seem to realize her singlet and her corset over it were on full display, but at least she had been wearing a long skirt under the coat? Quick on her feet with the main goal of keeping the star safe, and now learning of the egg he had, she was quick to grab at his arm. "I don't have room in my satchel for another egg- but my apartments just down the road- I have plenty of blankets, a heater- a laundry if you need it?" she was bouncing from one foot to another. "The stars need to stay dry and well so they can achieve their goals- are you good at running?" Orbit had taken to Eri's side now, a paw bopping at her calf to get her attention.
Letting go of Koray to turn to the Buneary, ignoring the rain now freely soaking through her clothes, the pokemon pointed to her little hood, and Eri giggled, ignoring the sniffling that was surely going to start off soon. "Hoodie, understood Orbit!" She moved to shimmy the hoodie up, easing her ears into their little pouch before going to move to do the same to her other pokemon. Eyes flicking back to Koray she spoke again, "Use the umbrella to keep you and your pokemon further dry, and the coat to keep either you or the egg dry and warm?"
Koray wasn't going to take anything from Eri... or at least, that was the initial thought. Of course Eri would practically shove the umbrella at him. Of course she would actually take her coat off and give it to him. His eyes narrowed at her and a protest died on his lips as she refused to take it back. Instead of opting to put the coat on however (not like it was going to fit anyway), he opted to wrap the egg in something warm. Elanor sighed in relief at seeing the egg safe. Good. That was good.
"I'm already soaked, Eri. Take your umbrella. You're going to catch your death out here dressed like that." Regardless, he'd open it and position it so that it covered both of them rather than just himself. If she wasn't going to take it back, he could darn well make sure she didn't catch a cold. He was actually very pointedly trying not to look directly at her, a blush warming his features.
"Your apartment sounds nice," Koray stated, teeth chattering as he tried to hold both the egg and umbrella. Arceus, he was shaking badly now. If Eri led the way, he would run after her, trying his best to keep both of them dry. Hopefully some of his extra clothes would be dry enough... If not, Koray wasn't sure exactly what he'd do.
Thaaankfully he didn't try give her coat back! Eri was practically beaming at him, even if the chill and the constant splashing of rain against her singlet had gotten her feeling a little colder than usual- this was fine. The stars, for all accounts of things, were top priority! And if needed, she'd even give him more things to warm up, she was the perfect helper for the stars, afterall. Her mummas would be so proud. As he attempted to get her to take her umbrella a smug smile graced Eri's features, and her hands moved up as she took a step back, "Nope. If I catch my death right now, it'd be well worth it since it's aiding a star not get any wetter than he already was."
Her hands moved to adjust her corset, flinching as she tugged on the now wet ribbons slightly in an attempt to loosen them, "Annnd i'm used to wearing this stuff, Sirius. The fates have decided that the cold isn't an issue for my future~" she couldn't help but laugh as he moved to old the umbrella up over her, momentarily ceasing the onslaught of thick raindrops. Upon seeing the new shelter all her pokemon, save for Orbit, had attempted to get under it at once, Tauri jumping by Eri's feet leeting out a variation of cries- wanting to be held.
Picking up the wet bud pokemon and holding him to her chest- for a moment praising that he wasn't an ice type, before looking back at Koray. Stars- he looked like he was about to turn into a frozen ice dwarf like Pluto, and she couldn't have that on her hands. Running should warm him up, at least- and if Eri had to do it in her fuzzy platform boots? So be it! "Follow me then, Sirius!" A laugh bubbled out of her lips before she moved to dart out of the umbrella, purple pigtails flying out behind her. She wasn't a fast runner, so catching up would be easy enough, and all her pokemon were incredibly keen to follow her lead. Her egg in her satchel hopefully was still nice and snug, too.
Down a side-street, take a left- the rain didn't seem to be easing at all- and then suddenly she was at an apartment complex- you could only guess what one hers was from the purple, glittery door. Peeking through the window, her 2 foot tall Delcatty had begun pawing at the glass upon seeing Eri show up, her people-watching disturbed. "Aaaaaand, here we are- let me just get the keyyy..." she moved to the door, grabbing the handle to put a key in... only to realize it was unlocked- of course she'd forgotten... uh...
Glancing back to Koray with a grin to attempt to hide her embarrassment she pushed open the door and held it open, a variety of noises erupting from the eager pokemon inside, "Stars first, Sirius!"
For all accounts of things, her apartment is cozy but.. a mess. There's only a few pokemon roaming right now, her huge Delcatty who was with her new baby Raltz, Cosma who'd been stationed in her bedroom/the nursery, and Europa and Newfound who had been rummaging through one of her various closets and pulling her clothes out to play in. The place was littered with photos of her mums and their accomplishments, tarot card's with her name and brand on it seemed to litter the table, and unmade pokefood was sprawled on the kitchen bench. The other doors were closed, and the nursery couldn't really be seen into right now.
...and everywhere you turned, there would be stars or glitter waiting.
Stepping over one of the stray clothes Europa had been rolling in Eri moved over to a heater in the wall, pushing it on, "Make yourself at home- do you need a change of clothes- I can put yours in the dryer to warm them up- I always have things planned for when stars come over, will slacks be okay?"
At Eri's initial comment at his protests, all he did was sigh and made sure to at least try to keep the both of them dry. It only made Koray press for moving to some place dry urgently if only to make sure Eri didn't get as cold as he was in this frigid rain. He had to fight from rolling his eyes at hearing that Eri was used to wearing as little as she was right then. It... wasn't exactly a good thing to express to someone who was basically a stranger. Either way, they were off relatively quickly thankfully after some wardrobe adjustments to her pokemon apparently.
At the statement to follow her, Koray nodded and walked as quickly as possible while still juggling the egg and the umbrella. Mercifully, it didn't take very long and they were at the door and inside before they knew it. Koray did sweat drop a little at realizing that Eri had forgotten to lock her apartment but wasn't going to say anything. If he didn't know how stubborn she was already, Koray would have protested but was more than ready to step into the warm apartment.
How unfortunate that the moment he stepped inside, he wanted to immediately run out the door. Everywhere he looked was... a mess. Glitter was everywhere along with clothes, cards, and food. Arceus, is this a war zone? Already his eye was twitching and his hands were shaking. Deep breaths, just breathe, it's... ok...
"A-ah... yes... I think everything's soaked through..." Koray replied, his voice shaking a little as he stared at the disaster that was the apartment, "I-is there a nursery...? The egg..." Right, first thing, take care of the egg, then worry about the war zone.
Eri turned around to face Sirius, completely oblivious to Koray's sudden change in mood. "Alright- i'll get you some spare clothes!" She paused however upon mention of the nursery, moving to clap her hands together. Still in her singlet she quickly hopped over the pile of clothes- and Absol, who was watching her curiously. Newfound had begun trailing along behind her, reaching out with his little arms wanting to be picked up but... Eri didn't see that. Delcatty had begun helping the mons who'd been out in the rain out of their coats while Eri continued forward, moving towards the door Cosma had been perched up.
"This right here, Siri, is the nursery!" She nudged it open with her foot, and unlike all the other rooms... it was clean?! Along the left wall there seems to be a variation of different bean bags, or stations, a few areas with heat lamps- other than the egg currently on her, there were five either nestled into beanbags or resting in some kind of perch.
Above one of the windows there seemed to be a hanging cloth, which her Ditto- Celeste- currently in the form of an Eevee, was resting in. In the very far corner of the room there was a tiny desk chair which seems to have a pillow and a thick blanket, for some reason it looks like it's been slept in! Next to the chair, barely in the shadow Titan stands, watching over the baby eggs with a keen eye.
Eri rushes through the area, going to one of the nearby cupboards and pulling out a towel as well as... some dust looking stuff. "Use this for drying off the egg- sprinkle and wipe!" Eri held them out to Koray, wiggling them around for a moment before rushing out of the room, almost barreling right into a softly sobbing Newfound... awwww. Eri moved to pick him up, ignoring the sudden chill that swept through her.
It was just a bit of cold! She'd be fine-
Right- change of clothes... she could probably just grab him a large jumper and trackies! She hoped he didn't mind purple, that's all she could find when she grabbed it from the op shop- large... would a large fit a dude? Maybe. Stacking the clothes in her arm and trudging back she moved to peak her head back into the nursery, clothes in one hand while she was hugging Newfound to her chest with the other. "Gotcha a change of clothes- wanna change in the bathroom, star?"

Koray nodded, his free hand now opening and closing as he tried to fight off the urge to just... clean. How could Eri live in such a place? Oh, and then she opened the nursery and his eyes focused on it. It was clean. It was clean. Turning on his heels, Koray made a beeline for the safe room and pulled the egg out from under Eri's coat. The egg felt... colder than he would've liked but he would warm it up soon enough...like one of those heating lamps, yeah. Setting it down on one of the cushions, Koray turned on the lamp and sighed, watching the egg for a few moments before Eri spoke to him again.
Oh, to dry it off... yeah, that would be a good idea too. Nodding his thanks, Koray took the cloth and dust. It... sounded a little strange, but he wasn't going to object to it at the very least. After picking up the egg again, he set to work drying it off the way Eri'd explained. Surprisingly enough, it dried off quickly and he was able to set it back under the heating lamp. He would spend the next few moments just staring at the egg with Elanor and Rowan nearby before Eri's voice drew him from his thoughts again.
Right, change... his clothes were still soaked through and he was probably making a puddle in the nursery. That... probably wasn't good for the eggs now that he thought about it. Standing once again, Koray was...admittedly reluctant to leave the room but realized that it probably wasn't a good idea to change in the nursery heh. "Y-yeah... where's the bathroom?" Assuming she answered, he'd head that direction only to cringe at the mess. Hopefully the towels were clean...Arceus, I'm going to take a long shower when I get home. If not? Well, he wasn't going to ask.
The clothes fit...snugly at best, but it was only until his own clothes were dry, right? Right. Still, looking around at the mess he... couldn't help but start to pick up the bathroom. There were some cleaners under the sink and well, by then he was on a roll. By the time he was done, it was cleaner than when he'd first entered and then went to find Eri again. "Hey, I'm done. Where's your dryer? I can put these in myself." Well, at least, if she'd let him.
Eri beamed as he moved to leave, hopefully he was able to find the bathroom okay! As he was gone she began busiying herself with things around the nursery, checking the exact temperature of the eggs, making sure Celeste was on her best behavior. After checking over all her eggs, including her soon to hatch Raltz one she decided that one of the Eevee eggs just wasn't warming up properly like the rest of them- she moved to scoop it into her arms and began moving from draw to draw.
Right, a blanket! She grabbed the thickest star blanket she could find and wrapped it around the egg, hugging it close to herself and moving to the small couch in the corner of the room, making herself comfortable while waiting for Koray's inevitable return. She was in her own head for a while, just... sitting there, a usual task for a Star Guide, until the sound of the door took her attention.
Glancing up a smile took onto her face again and she shifted the egg in her arms. "Sirius!" She let out a laugh, moving a hand to push some wet hair from her face, "Two doors from the bathroom, be careful of the pokemon beds, they're against the wall- I have to hose them down soon- Oh but don't turn it on yet, i'll have to get changed soon!"
Koray didn't think anything of cleaning up the bathroom and went to ask Eri where the laundry room was. He... was a little embarrassed that he hadn't thought of Eri needing to change too and shook his head at her suggestion. "I'm sorry, but how about I take the egg and you can change. Sorry about taking so long, you must be cold by now," Koray suggested, taking the egg with a blanket wrapped around it from Eri, gesturing to the doorway with his head.
"Go change, I can put the wet clothes in after you're done. No ifs ands or buts. Just do it, alright~?" Koray said, smiling at Eri before sitting down with the eggs and other pokemon. It seemed that his own egg was doing better now too. Thank goodness. He didn't know what he would've done if it was still cold. All that was left now was to wait for Eri to come back.
Eri blinked for a few seconds, getting changed wasn’t her top priority, but if the star insisted… she gently stood up and moved to hand him the cozy, yet cold egg. “If the star says so, how can I not?” She passed it to him then, checking to ensure he was holding it properly “Hold it to your chest! That’s a warm hotspot of the body!” and a star holding it- oh the little eevee was going to be so blessed!
She quickly made her way out the room, turning a corner or two until she was at her closet, glancing at the pile of clothes her pokemon were currently playing in. Europa let out a curious squeak as Eri bent over, grabbing the first thing in the pile and wrestling it free of Newfound’s cold grasp- right! That’s something to wear.
To the bathroom now! She pulled open the door and waltz right in, only to pause- what… the stars? A startled noise left her lips, the counters and sink and… it was all shining? The dog brush by the tub had mysteriously vanished and she could have sworn there was pokemon hair everywhere from her earlier grooming with Orbit. “Uh…”
Maybe… the stars had blessed her today? That’s all she could think. She was confused, but moved to shift into something more comfortable, still cute, and maybe a bit cold but… it was a thing. Her wet clothes, including her corset and singlet were held to her chest, and without another sound she’d made her way down the hall and back into her room.
“…Give me your wet clothes, this is my house, Star~ I can dry them!”
Koray took the egg from Eri when she passed it to him, nodding at the instructions to put it next to his chest. That made sense and considering his Zorua egg seemed to be alright, it would be alright to take care of this one while Eri changed. While Eri left, Koray was unaware of her reaction to his little cleaning spree in the bathroom and mostly enjoyed staying in the nice clean room with the eggs and other hatchlings. Rowan and Elanor were much happier to be by him now that they were safe and warm which was nice.
Well, that was until Eri came back and demanded to give her his wet clothes. Eyeing the minimal clothing she had on, Koray couldn't help but blush at the sight and shook his head, standing up with the egg still held to his chest. "Eri... go put something warm on, please? I'll put the clothes in the dryer. No arguing now, I don't want you catching a cold..." Koray said softly, looking at her with concern in his eyes. Whether she agreed or not, he took the clothes from her and went down to the laundry room.
At the sight, a sort of strangled gasp escaped him. It was a struggle to get through to the dryer, but he managed it well enough and put a dryer sheet in with it. That done, the machine was started and the egg was placed carefully on one of the stray pokemon beds before Koray started to clean that room too. The room was spotless and the beds were cleaned before he left the room and carefully picked up the egg once more, pressing it to his chest again and heading back to the room he'd left Eri. "There, should be dry in a little bit. Are you feeling better?" The nursery room was at least warm enough for certain.
The pigtailed girl blinked, confused at him. Put... something else on? But this was fine! Maybe a lil' chilly, but the heater would kick in soon! An eyebrow had been raised, and she debated telling him that it was fine but... he was a star. If changing into something else made him happy and made his life easier, then she couldn't argue, could she? But he shouldn't be... aiding a star guide- it didn't sit right in her guts, and she was sure the stars were scowling at her!
"Whatever the star says!" She managed out, pushing on her best smile and offering her wet clothes to him. But... just what was something warm? Did he even know the proper settings for corsets? What if he slipped on one of Faculas capes? She hadn't looked into his fates yet, so she was completly and utterly unknowing.
She watched him go, offering a salute and a wave, until her smile immediately dropped. The star should be the one getting cozy and not doing any work, they're stars after all! But it wasn't in her fates to help, she guessed. If putting clothes in a dryer was what Sirius wanted then... that was fine, right?
She moved back out the nursery, smiling at her eevee-ditto before going back to the pile of clothes Newfound had completly and utterly totalled- at this point the little blue mon was completly covered in clothes! At the sound of Eri's footsteps he shifted slightly and emerged from the pile, a pastel apron on his head. Eri all but giggling, moving to fish him out and place him onto one of the cushioned couches, besides her stacks of old photoframes that she hadn't put up yet. "Sit tight, Newfie!"
Moving back now, she hoisted out a large jumper and pulled it over her head, not even bothering to untuck her pigtails She still had a short skirt on underneath, but a jumper would keep her warm enough- probably. She returned back to the nursery a little bit before Koray, and began checking at the temperatures of some of the eggs while she waited.
His voice broke her attention and she swung around, eye's wide and big smile back on her face. "I can never be better than I am, life's always stellar and sparkling!" A finger was brought to her cheek, "I was never feeling bad to begin with!" We don't talk about how you were practically shivering and mentally grumbling over a star doing a star guides work.
Koray smiled when he went back to the nursery and noticed that Eri was wearing something warmer... and then that same short skirt. Sighing and shaking his head, Koray stared at Eri even as she tried to say that she wasn't feeling all that bad. "Eri, you were shivering... don't tell me you weren't feeling bad..." Eyes drifted over to see the Zorua egg still seemed to be in good shape before looking at Eri's form. "Do you have pants... leggings even? Heck, a blanket that would keep you warm?" Koray asked, shifting the Eevee egg to one arm while he ran his fingers through his hair.
"I don't want you to get sick, Eri... Stay here I guess, I'll grab a blanket," Koray said, going right back into the living room. ......right.... this mess would have to go and why were there clothes in a pile? Sighing, he set the egg carefully on the couch and started to organize the area. First the newspapers and photos, all the pokebeds would be arranged and set into one corner, still very accessible to the Pokemon of course. The last thing he did was fold the clothes and set them back where they were supposed to go.
Oh good, there were the blankets. Picking up the egg again, Koray headed back to the nursery, only then sitting by Eri again, adjusting one blanket over her and another over himself. Ahh, yes, it was much better in the nice clean nursery. He could stay in here for a while. "There, now we'll get warmer. I'll change once the dryer stops. Shouldn't be more than an hour or so. Hopefully the rain stops between now and then."
Maybe... she was shivering, but she was perfectly fine! If the stars wanted her to be sick, or to not face the cold, then they would have made her a star instead of a star guide! All in the name of helping the stars, her life was. Of course, she could tell this star was fairly stubborn. "Maybe my body was reacting, but I didn't feel bad! If i'm helping, then a little cold never harmed anybody, i've dealt with much worse for much less, after all!" An eyeroll, and she shifts slightly, watching him. And then... he asked about leggings?
That would seriously cramp her stellar style. "I have puffy shorts!" She attempted a big grin, then. "Leggings and pants aren't very starry, I doo have long skirts though~" she moved to place the palm of her hand against one of the eggs, squinting at it as if checking for something before taking a few steps back with a nod. Good egg.
Before she could even begin to protest, though, he was out again, and Eri let out a soft snicker, shaking her head. This star just couldn't stay still! She continued checking on the eggs, ignoring the cold that moved through her as she did so. Skirts were cute and stellar, so really she didn't mind wearing a short one, she didn't get what all the fuss was about!
As she's working on checking on the eggs there's a sound from the door. Arche, her Dubwool who'd been snacking on some of her pokecharms had shoved his way out the door of the kitchen, sending Koray a side eye before practically sashaying his way into the nursery, eyeing up Eri for a moment. The girl couldn't help but giggle at his antics, his face was adorned with rainbow crumbs and he looked super proud of his stellar self!
"Arche! Did you get into the charms again?" She shook her head and turned around, moving back towards the couch in the room and allowing Arche to plop down infront of her, moving to brush the crumbs out of his wool. "Who's a pretty star guide?" Arche tilted his head and grunted, Eri moving to run a hand through his fluffy coat, "You are!"
Koray didn't return too much later, and the girl kept up her excited smile as he returned, shifting over on the tiny couch a little to allow room for Koray. "You really didn't have to get a blanket, i'm fine!" There was a laugh, and Arche moved to butt his head into Eri's hand, wanting more pats. The girl hummed, gently poking Arche's nose in response.
He had attempted to back up so he could lie down on the floor of the nursery, but instead bumped an egg, which rolled off its beanbag and instantly begin glowing. Eri was up faster than it can be noticed, a gasp leaving her lips. "The Vulpix!" a glance around, "Watch it- hold it close for a second pleeease!"
And then she was sprinting out the room, coming back moments later with her ninetails and passimian, who both looked incredibly confused- until they saw the egg. The Nursery was totally, and utterly cramped now, and Eri practically ushered Dubwool into the corner.
"Everybody breathe! Passi- Umbra- stand back!" Like she'd done this a million times, Eri began fumbling through drawers, getting out tiny blankets, a small bottle of something, cushions, placing them around the room. SKoray was a star, so Eri was certain it would take a few seconds rather than a minute for the egg to hatch.
"Once they begin to take form give it to Umbra- my ninetails, Sirius!!"
Koray just gave Eri a deadpan expression when she said that it was fine. He didn't even wait for a response before leaving to clean, even making it into a game with Eri's pokemon so they would help rather than cause a fuss. Thankfully Eri didn't object when he placed the blanket on her. Finally able to relax, Koray sighed, eyeing the the big Dubwool. There were... crumbs all over its mouth and Koray couldn't help but twitch a little. He had just cleaned up dammit and this was literally the only space that was safe. Those crumbs... hhhhhh...
Flexing his fingers, Koray tried to still the urge to clean and instead focused on the Zorua egg, completely ignoring Eri's objections. Well, at least that was until an egg was bumped and it seemed that all hell broke loose. Eri was running around gathering pokemon and whatever else was in her hands. With all the pokemon now in the room, Koray was actually starting to feel claustrophobic... except he was the center of attention now with the Vulpix egg suddenly thrust in his arms.
The glow became blinding and Koray had to shut his eyes, feeling the egg shift into a creature rather than actually seeing it. With that in mind, he blindly pushed the still forming egg towards where he'd last seen the Ninetails. Surely Umbra (he hoped he heard the name right) would know what to do from there. Arceus, there was never a dull moment with Eri, was there?
Eri was fiddling with the stitch in a cushion and making sure it fluffed correctly while Dubwool stuck to her side, making it difficult for other pokemon in the room to really grasp what was happening. It didn't take too long before her gaze flicked back to check on Koray, only to see... A gasp left her lips, excited. "Oh- oh Koray look! She's golden- blessed by the stars!" despite the chaos, she was practically beaming as the little mon was passed to her mother, Umbra, who very hesitant shifted the golden pokemon closer, gently nuzzling her.
Blankets! Eri rushed around the room before grabbing her pokemon blankets and placing them next to Umbra, incase she wanted to use them at all to nurture her newborn. The father, Passimian, had no idea what to do, glancing from Eri to the newborn with wide eyes, earing a giggle from Eri.
She gently shifted closer after a few more minutes, sitting cross legged infront of the family, the bottle from earlier now in her hands. Nutrients were important, and testing her initial strength. The little vulpix first hit the bottle with her nose a few times, until gently pushing into it and taking a few tenitive sips of the formula. "Healthy..." Eri said, letting out a soft sigh. Her ditto-eevee and dubwool had ended up stumbling out of the room, bored, while the girl fussed over the newborn. "...Stars... tell me, what's her name..."
There was a pause as she sat there, before her eyes began to practically sparkle, "Halo- a gorgeous name for such a stellar star guide- oh she's just the cutest!" she continued giving Halo compliments until the formula was finished, and quickly after she moved to stand again, only now turning to face Koray.
"So, it's best to give the parents bonding time, are you okay to move out to the lounge at all?"
It took a few moments for Koray to be able to see anything again after that blinding light. He could hear Eri say something about a golden Vulpix but it didn't register until he finally stopped seeing spots. A soft smile appeared on his features as he saw the Vulpix nuzzle with her mother. It was quite adorable, really and Koray was glad he was able to see it. The way that Eri found the name for the Vulpix was... interesting but still... Halo was a cute name for the little golden Vulpix.
The request to leave the room had Koray hesitating a little. It was nice, warm, and clean in the nursery but... well, he supposed it couldn't be helped. "Sure, wouldn't hurt," Koray mused, thankful that he'd taken the time to clean the living area now. He'd take a moment to retrieve his Zorua egg and a couple blankets before following Eri out. Hopefully it was just as clean as he'd left it. If not... well, the egg would be fine being surrounded by the blankets while he picked up again. Right?
