It was snowing, everywhere Gaki looked the cold, white fluff covered the outstretched horizons- perhaps... she hadn't picked the best day to take her and her teams costumes for a test drive. Though the cold is something Gaki could handle! She could handle it fairly well, if she was being honest- if she ignored the icy cold chill that shot up her spine everytime she was hit by a surprise drop of snow.
The girl had been in the middle of preparing for the next upcoming campaign, where she'd play Kia, the troublemaker warrior fairy who spent a lot of time with her familiars causing issues and playing pranks on the other fairies in her homeland! The girl was wearing a rather simple chestplate and skirt combo and had her hair plaited into two french braids. The main focal piece of her outfit was, of course, the expensive wings. She was lucky she had her pops prison money, or else she'd be broke by now.
She'd set out a small mat by one of the tiny rivers that ran through the route, and her two pokemon were supposed to be sitting still while she worked on gently fitting them into their wings to math ehrs. Unfortunately for her, the duo of terror had other plans.
"Sit still, Leaf!" Gaki let out a laugh as the pokemon before her wiggled yet again out of her grasp, running to the other side of her mat and letting out a cheeky noise- like this was some game of chasey. His wings were held tightly in Gaki's hand, and the girl shook her head, "Nuh-uh, if you think you can get away from a warrior this easily, Leafy boy, you've got another thing coming!"
Volta, her Plusle, had been cautiously circling Gaki as she chased after her Turtwig, looking for the right opening to stop her plans in her tracks! There was no way she'd let the fairy get her hands on Leaf! As Gaki finally had Leaf in her grasp, the Tiny turtwig letting out a serious of giggles- Plusle launched, clinging to Gaki's waist with a loud battle cry.
"Volta! Not you too!" It was war now, Leaf had taken this time to shimmy out of her arms and hide behind Gaki's bag, she'd never find him here! Gaki was too busy trying to tickle the Plusle on her side to even notice- it took a lot of wrangling, but eventually she had the two before her, giving her giddy, satisfied looks as she moved to strap the tiny wings on both of them.
"You two are so cute!" An excited squeak left Gaki's lips and she moved to adjust Leaf's wing slightly, "Fit to be my trusty battle campanions in the up and coming campaign, at the very least!"
The two pokemon let out a series of chittered crys, and Gaki went to turn to grab her phone to take a picture- only for Leaf and Volta to immediately run off, through the snow and further down the route. "gUYS NO!"
Koray had opted to go out for a ride on Freda while it was snowing, thinking that it would be a nice day to explore and maybe get some training in while he was at it. He had chosen not to release Sauron or any of the new hatchlings right then and there. The Deino could be way too unpredictable after all, and he was more inclined to explore the route right then and there over doing serious training.
Well, at least that was when he saw a strange sight. Namely a Turtwig and Plusle with wings on scurrying towards him. Looking towards Rowan, he nodded at the ghost who immediately took off to cut off the two pokemon's escape route. Meanwhile, Freda raced forward to try and cut them off while Koray clung to her fur. "Good girl, just a little closer... their trainer can't be far behind..." Koray encouraged, opting to let his pokemon catch them.
Rowan immediately took off towards them and suddenly appeared in front of them, chittering about how pretty their wings were and trying to be friendly. Though, whether or not this would work remained to be seen.
They were getting away- Gaki didn't have enough charisma points to wow them back and could only frantically yank her mat out of the snow and begin sprinting after them. "Leaf- Volta!" Oh she was going to keep the as close as possible once she got them back, she needed those photos! They were the cutest mons ever, but also kinda the sneakiest, and what you don't want as a gamer is pokemon who constantly sneak their way around you!
Why did she have a low stamina stats again!? Just a second of running and the girl, donning her extravagant fairy armor outfit was already holding at her side, a stitch making itself known. Gaki spent all her time indoors, of course she wasn't athletic in the slightest!
As she was running, Leaf and Volta were enjoying their time running away from her! The wings were making running a little hard though, but this was all a fun game to them, and they were winning! Bouncing around, gleefully squeaking and chittering- and then their route was immediately cut off. Volta let out a confused cry, stopping in his tracks and almost immediately pulling Leaf back. Glancing between Rowan and Freda Voltra let out a confused cry, before almost immediately letting out a giggle- oh his wings!
He turned around, shaking himself for a second as if to show off the wings before righting himself and putting his hands on his hips, swaying slightly. Damn right, they were pretty- but they were in the middle of fairy tiggy right now! They couldn't let Gaki get them, so let them past!
They were obviously oblivious to Gaki running towards them, a hand holding at her hip- the armour was heavy, damn it. It was cute, but not made for her to be physical in! "L-Leaf- Volta!" She repeated, a cough leaving her lips as she pushed herself closer, only now seeing Koray and her mons- "..."
A blink, and she'd slowed to a stop. Her pokemon, finally noticing her made soft squeaks and attempted to get away, and Gaki only let out an exhausted huff, "My... stamina stat- isn't high enough for this..." of course, Plusle's quick attempt left him falling right into the snow. Turtwig let out another squeak, and Gaki took that as an opportunity to sweep them both into her arms, trying to be carefuly of their wings so at to not tear them.
A second more and she glanced but up to Koray, eyebrows furrowed... an NPC. "...you stopped them." was all she said, blinking.

Thank goodness Freda and Rowan were able to stop the pokemon. The Turtwig and Plusle were adorable, but Koray didn't want them to get into trouble or worse, hurt, by any means. Rowan seemed curious about the wings and wondered if Leaf could fly with those, he'd never seen a Turtwig or a Plusle with wings before! He was about to ask when their trainer presumably came up, calling for them. Oh, so the Turtwig must be leaf and Volta was the Plusle. Cute names.
Koray was about to say something when he heard the... fairy princess? Maybe? Come stumbling forward, muttering something about stamina not being high. That was... a little strange but he simply waved and waited for her to say something but the comment she said was... well, that was pretty obvious. This was more than a little awkward... "Ummm, yeah? It's no problem, I just didn't want them to get hurt..." Koray explained, rubbing the back of his head a little sheepishly. Rowan waved to the fairy while Freda watched the little pokemon, making sure they were safe and wouldn't jump out of the girl's arms.
"I'm Koray by the way. What should I call you, miss fairy?" Hopefully that wouldn't be too offensive and it might make this entire encounter less awkward. Maybe?
The two troublemakers continued to wiggle and squirm in her arms and the corner of Gaki's lips turned up slightly, "...if you stay still enough for a photoshoot later you'll get poketreats." she barely whispered it, amidst the slight silence, and the two in her arms immediately stopped resisting. Thank everything for her stupid beast taming skill, though it was low, it existed on a variety of accounts! After a few seconds she gently let them down and they wriggled around before plopping themselves by her side.
He didn't want them to get hurt? For all she knew he was an NPC villain who wanted to steal the fairy pokemon and claim their expensive wings for himself- wait this is reality, not a VR MMO. The girl shook her head at herself and began fiddling with her white chestplate. "yeah yeah, and they didn't get hurt. your mission was successful." Surely that'll show that she's thankful for him stopping them before she had to run a 10 km marathon?
...Miss fairy?! Oh- she forgot she was in her outfit for a solid second. The girl's cheeks flared up, right, in costume, in character. A hand moved to tug on a lose strand of hair that was in her face before tugging it into her plait, maybe this had originally been a photography test, but now she could test out the character as a whole, maybe? "...ack..." A hum left her lips, uncomfortable for a brief moment before she placed a hand on her hips, righting herself and straightening her back.
Now- in character you go! A deep breath before a giggle sung out, and a cheeky smile graced her features, "The name's Kia, stranger!" A hand moved up in a salute as she bent forward slightly, as if taking Koray in, "A warrior fairy from homeland! We don't get..." What don't you get? Gaki, c'mon, think! "...a lot of wingless folks around these parts, especially in the snowy days!"
Oh for fucks sakes... she hoped her voice didn't sound that fake, she didn't wanna run the risk of insulting him right now, because she had known it was on the tip of her tongue before slipping into character. The girl moved closer now, her pokemon besides her, and she made an effort to twirl around Koray, as if sizing him up. "Sooo watchu doing here in the fields? Surely not to steal the lifeblood from the river?"

Koray was glad to see the little ones calmed down after a moment when they were in their trainers arms. Poketreats were a really good incentive for Pokemon to behave and he was about to offer some of the ones he'd handmade before the girl spoke again. The confused expression that crossed Koray's features was obvious and he wasn't exactly sure what the girl meant. Mission? What's she talking about? Instead, he shook his head and politely asked for her name, referencing her fairy status.
The reply that came next had Koray blinking owlishly all over again. Alright, Kia. That was a pretty name. But what came after had him confused all over again. A warrior fairy? Well, he was just trying to head home from Birch so... the snow was just a happy coincidence. Then the girl twirled around him, causing Freda to utter a low growl. She didn't like this fairy ditz to be so close to him. Rowan was just as confused as Koray was and wasn't quite sure what to do.
"Easy there, Freda..." Koray murmured, patting the Absol's shoulder and giving her ears a scratch, "Nice to meet you, Kia was it? I'm just... headed home and saw your pokemon escaping? I don't know what you mean by 'lifeblood from the river', but I assure you that's not what I'm doing."
The NPC was obviously confused, it was a tell-tale look, and she would have snapped at him if he had even one thing to say about the character she was portraying. For now, she kept on her girliest smile, forcing the character even further. Fairies were cheeky little creatures, at least in the campaign presented, and her character was one of the most mischevious... she had to figure out how to portray that without forcing it too much, and this dude, Koray, could be the perfect tutorial.
As he mentioned there escaping the girl fought back a pout, glancing at the mons by her feet. She'd have to find an excuse that fit in with the storylines canon, damn it "The little fae were drawn to your presence, it being unfamiliar and all~" She took a step back, upon realizing she was too close for her own comfort and batted her eyes at the stranger, "Are you perhaps from the elf kingdom then? I know their village isn't much further from here!"
And there was a pause, she'd have to force out more dialogue. Moving to press a button hidden under her armour the mechanics of the girls light coloured wings began moving and them flapped twice, the girl giggling. "Good, the lifebloods our little secret then, Koray!" this kinda hurt to portray, Kia was way too chipper for her.
Gaki didn't know how to keep conversation going, or what else to say- why were real life interactions so hard! If this guy was in a costume, and playing along, dialogue could be so much easier! "...uh..." Her eyes flicked around a second and she pursed her lips, "You arrre an elf right, mister Koray?"
Koray... didn't really like that smile. It felt fake, mainly because it didn't quite reach the eyes. Creepy. Yes, that was the vibe he was getting from this fairy girl. Kia. Or, whatever her name was. It probably isn't actually Kia. The explanation about the 'little fae', her pokemon apparently, being drawn to his presence had him raising an eyebrow. No... he was pretty sure they were running away.
Wait... what the-... Arceus, why was the girl talking about an elf kingdom of all things? That wasn't even real? Then there was something about the lifeblood being a secret and Koray just... deadpanned. Koray.exe had stopped working. Reboot would be required. Rowan uttered a concerned coo as he looked up at Koray, not quite sure what exactly had happened but... well, this girl was weird but not a threat?
Freda on the other hand, was losing patience with this little imp and took a step forward, lowering her horn. She wouldn't hesitate to protect her trainer if this little minx kept up the stupidity. Thankfully, Koray snapped out of whatever error that had been going on and stilled Freda before the Absol did anything worse. "Easy... easy there, girl..." Koray murmured, looking over at Gaki with curious confusion, "I don't understand, I'm afraid. I'm no elf, I'm a human, just like you are, miss fairy. Excuse me, Miss, Kia."
Gaki's eyebrow twitched, and her smile very quickly fell flat into a line. Even Koray's pokemon seemed to be under some level 12 confusion spell, and Gaki could only click her tongue. "Oi- That's stupid." Her hands moved to cross over her chest and she fidgited, he wasn't playing along, and by the looks of it he wasn't even going to give her fairy costume the time of day. "Have you skulled a rank 9 idiot potion in the last five minutes?" The words were harsh and flat, and she found herself staring up at the boy.
"Can you not tell that i'm playing a character? Were the wings not a dead give away? Was me trying to involve you in this too subtle? Pac-Man save me." Leaf and Volta began running around her, letting out a series of excited squeaks- they seemed to be playing chasey, not acknowledging their trainers sudden change. "...I didn't spend over three-hundred dollars for these wings with my dads prison money to have you look me dead in the eye and call me a human- what human would talk about the lifeblood of a river?!"
She bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from further going off at the trainer, instead taking a step back to distance herself and leveling a glare with Koray. No, Gaki wasn't good with people at all, especially not with somebody who didn't respect an extremely thought out and expensively created character. "...you're not daft, are you?" She could basically feel her affection points dropping with the NPC before her and fought back a scowl.
Kia's expression changed from that fake smile to a deadpan pretty quickly while Koray tried to explain that he wasn't an elf. (Seriously, who asked things like that?) The sudden personality change was jarring, and Koray was a little taken aback at everything she was calling him. He wasn't exactly sure what an idiot potion was... but... well, it seemed pretty self-explanatory. Freda growled low, warning this 'Kia' to back off but well... she kept going on.
Climbing off of the Absol, Koray moved to pet Freda's head, trying to calm her down before she lunged the girl. That... that wouldn't be a good thing at all. She was going on and on about her outfit and apparently trying to include him but by that time, Koray had more or less tuned her out. He was too busy trying to make sure the Absol wouldn't hurt Kia for saying those things. Hopefully she doesn't say anything worse than that...
Koray could care less about the insults thrown at him. He had long since been accustomed to being called worse things than 'daft' or 'idiot'. In comparison, this was mild but a surprise nonetheless. After the girl had finally stopped lecturing him, Koray took a deep breath, muttering something in Kalosian to Freda before turning around once again. "I wasn't exactly expecting to suddenly play a character, no," Koray admitted, his voice slow and calm, not really caring for this conversation at all, "But all the same, it is considered etiquette to ask if someone would like to participate rather than assuming they can read minds. I am no telepath, miss," he continued, voice still holding the calm tone.
Looking over to Freda, he said a few more calming words before getting back onto the Absol, "I'm headed back home to Pine, m'lady. Would you care to join me? I do have another steed you may use but... I warn you, attempting to tame this creature is not for the faint of heart." Well, at least he was somewhat trying to play along now. Though Koray couldn't really care what the girl thought of him at that point. Regardless, he would release Sauron the abnormally huge Deino who immediately turned to Koray and tried to bite him. If not for Freda, he might have very well succeeded. "Easy there, Sauron..."Maybe this was a mistake...
Gaki kept a scowl on her features, stared up at Koray with a hint of disdain, the girl wasn't happy- not at all. At the male's pokemons obvious dislike to her and what she was saying the girls stance faltered slightly, gaze flicking downwards towards the Absol before going back up to Koray, who's words only caused her to let out a huff of air, eyes narrowing. Oh he hadn't expected it, had he? Well- well whatever! She'd attempted to drag him in, donkey kong knows she's terrible with people, let alone out of character. And she could already tell she'd hit some kind of nerve with this low levelled NPC.
Etiquette?! Considered etiquette?! And then he further called her miss, who did he think she was? Gaki did what any fairy would do, she was nice, she was polite, and she gave him a chance to become involved with the current running scene. She felt her cheeks flare with frustration as she fidgited, stupid NPC had a point, but she wouldn't let him know that.
A disgruntled, "Yeah well... bloody whatever." Left her lips. "You don't just up and diss story that gamemakers have spent weeks working on- do you know how insulting it is to have something you've worked hard on thrown back in your face?!" Hands crossed once more and she scoffed, "Human, what a joke."
Her stance further faltered however at the strangers change of pace, first... incredibly confused- for a moment cringing at the use of m'lady after being reminded of some stupid forum she browsed the other night, but this dude wasn't a neckbeard, probably... so she could only assume he was playing along now. Figures that he'd learn his place in this game- wait no she meant scene! In this scene- life wasn't a game.
A... steed she could use? The girl paused, eyebrow raising as a... huge... dinosaur... was released, becoming nippy almost immediately, and Gaki could sense a challenge. There was a few immediate thoughts that pulsed through her mind, mainly on if she was going to slip back into character or continue giving this guy hell, and, after a few beats decided that damn it, she was going to tame the beast, and if she contonued ratting this dude out then he probably wouldn't allowed her to even attempt it.
"...ack..." She took a pause before gently bopping her two fairy mons with pokeballs, for their safety. She'd take their shots later, probably where no person could stumble upon them then. But, to help her with this daunting task, she was going to need Sidra's guidance, the tiny Happiny might only be a baby, but damn it did she have the spirit of her cousin.
Releasing the baby and cradling it in her arms, she took a deep breath before turning back towards Koray, a smile back on her face as if she'd never gotten out of character in the first place. "Now Kia never backs down on a challenge! Besides, I have some dwarves to meet up with back in the town of pine-" Not true, you've never even been to pine before, "It'd be an honour to accept the offer of your finest steed."
Happiny let out a curious coo in Gaki's arms, reaching out to press a hand to the side of the girls face causing her to let out a soft aww, before quickly cutting herself off and going towards the Deino... right, the task. The girl moved with her free hand to grab a poketreat and offer it towards the Deino, waiting a beat before patting it hopefully while it ate to gain it's trust- like a dragon trainer in an RPG would-
She just hoped it worked so she could ride this thing.
Whatever insults were thrown his way thereafter, Koray didn't acknowledge. He'd been called worse and it wasn't exactly his fault that he hadn't understood what was happening. This 'Kia', or whatever her real nam ewas hadn't exactly been clear. Still, it seemed his attempts at trying to play along worked well enough. At least she stopped insulting him so often. Good thing too, or Freda might've very well charged her.
Of course Sauron was his normal bitey self and the Deino was beginning to wonder exactly how the wings would taste. Well, that was until the girl thing gave him some treats and they tasted good enough. The Happiny though... what would that taste like? A low growl that could very well be a purr before easing forward... just a little more... and CHOMP. All at once, the Deino backed up, sputtering and shaking his head. Gross those wings did not taste very good at all. It was all Koray could do not to laugh. He knew all too well what Sauron was like. Did Kia really have what it took to get him to listen?
Gaki was sure the poketreats would work, of course she didn't have a beast-tamer skill but surely just this once luck would be on her side and everything would be okay! The Happiny in her arms let out a soft squee, curious of the big Deino infront of her. And- the Deino looked to be interacting, was this it?! Was this where the Deino became her fr-
CHOMP. A loud shriek left Gaki's lips and her eyes were wide- her- her wings! The stupid NPC's pokemon clamped down on her expensive, prison-money wings! Her dad probably worked his butt of doing prison things to give her the money for those, and she hasn't even rubbed it in his face yet! A very loud kantonian string of curses left her lips as she quickly moved to serve the damage, letting out a loud sigh of relief upon noticing it was only covered in slobber...jesus fuck.
But again, he could utterly ruin her wings if she just insulted him right here, so instead she just grumbled a kantonian insult to the deino under her breath before moving to grab another treat out of her bag, showing it to the deino before pocketing it. Stay in character Gaki, cmon! "If you let me ride you, buddy, i'll give you some more of these!"
Koray just waited on Freda, more than a little amused as 'Kia' tried to charm Sauron. Thank goodness they weren't broken or he'd really have gotten an earful if earlier was anything to go by. What 'Kia' didn't know was that he understood Kantonian whereas the Deino didn't. Good thing too or Sauron might have taken a nip at her arm! Still, the offer for more treats held the Deino's interest and he lunged for the bag, not really interested in giving rides. He wanted those treats!
"Sauron," Koray's scolding voice broke through the Deino's stubbornness and he stopped all at once. But he really did want those treats! He was hungry! A low whining growl would leave the Deino before he waited patiently for 'Kia' to get on. As long as he got more treats and she kept them coming! Otherwise... well, wings or not, she might end up straight in the snow!
Stay in character, she had to keep repeating. Smile as fake as Peach's laugh on her face as the Deino instead went for the bag with the treats in them- that wasn't cute at all! But- alas. Gaki was a dragon trainer in a singular game, and as such had to keep her cool! She had enough charisma stats to pull this off- she was sure. At Koray's voice the Deino seemed to be put in check- but... he wasn't biting... did that mean...
After a few seconds waiting Gaki moving to shift herself on the Deino's back, picking through her pockets until she got the treats again. "It's sooo good that Kia's a fairy farmer- fresh berries are ingrained in the treats and everything! Isn't that just wonderful? All the fairies love me!" She was pushing the character and she knew, but... at least the farmer and treat thing was true. She let out her best fae giggle, "Now..." what did Koray say the Deino's name was?
"Sauron." It fell gently off her lips and she smiled, 'Every minute you keep me on your back, and follow your trainer, you get another treat!" Ohhh she was totally a pro dragon tamer, those were the pro moves! If this Koray thought she could challenge her? Then there's another thing coming. "Lead the way, elven-boy."
To Kia's credit, Koray was impressed that she managed to stay calm and not scream insults at the Deino. Sauron was a handful, even for Koray but the lure of treats was strong enough that the Deino was sated, at least for the time being. Hmm, maybe that would help me tame Sauron. It was a thought for another time. As Kia got on the Deino, Koray waited to see exactly what she would do. Nothing much, really, just what the treats contained which... that was interesting. Fresh berry treats? Was Kia a farmer or something? He still wasn't quite sure how to take this fairy bit of hers though... especially with how she opted to 'invite' him to join in the charade. It was awkward to say the least of things and well, he wasn't quite sure he wanted to continue traveling with her. Maybe I shouldn't have let her ride Sauron after all. Mmmm, he would see what became of this little charade. What harm could it do?
At the sound of his name, Sauron glanced back, eyeing Kia and the promise of treats. A low grumble was the only response she would be given but refused to so much as budge until he was given a treat. She'd promised them and he wanted one now! Koray was about to lead the way when Kia called him 'elven-boy' again. Bringing Freda to a stop, he looked back at this Kia with a little bit of a colder stare. Sauron too wasn't budging (he still wanted a treat) but growled low at the insult, nipping at her leg in warning. "I have a name. Use it," Koray stated, nodding to Sauron thereafter, "Best watch your tone. Sauron won't take too kindly to insults to himself or to me," he continued before turning Freda around and starting forward. There was just nothing more to say, and if Sauron was going to be belligerent again, Koray wasn't going to help. Not after the insult that had been hurled his way.
Another treat was given to the Deino, and Gaki was more than ready to go on this adventure with the NPC who seemed both clueless and slightly stiff, though that's what NPC's were like! At least now he was keen to play along with the fairy-realm act- or so she thought. It seemed that... both Deino and Koray thought it was an insult?! The smile Gaki had been keeping turned cold. "...You're kidding." The girl moved to give the Deino another treat, cautious. She wasn't going to let him just push her around like that! Nuh-uh! If she wanted to call the elf boy in her fairy realm an elf? Then she was going to call him an elf. "After my explaining before you take 'elven-boy' with a grain of salt like a second rate villain in a mobile phone game? Elven-Boy means that you, Koray- are an Elf. I greeted you as an elf before- and you seeeemed like you wanted to play along before- so forgive me for thinking otherwise." She was scowling now, and moved to give the Deino one more treat for safety. "If you wanna hear an insult, i've got plenty. But right now? I'm play-testing an outfit, a character- and breaking character? The worst thing I can do- so i'm going to treat you like a guide-elf."
Gaki was pissed- who did this dude think he was?! She could very easily call him what she's thinking in her head, throw some choice words and storm off- the cold was biting at every inch of her skin, in a fairy outfit made more for summer than anything else. Sidra, who sat in her lap awkwardly attempted to calm her down, letting out a few gentle, soft coo's and wriggling to peer up at her trainer, giving a small smile. Gack- damn it. Gaki couldn't resist that. She returned it with her own soft grin before flicking her eyes back again. "Best watch your tone. Sidra here is really feisty- feared by fae around the realm." Sidra let out a happy squeak in her lap, reaching an arm out to Koray and waving.
Well, that was a 180, wasn't it. No sooner had Koray told 'Kia' to use his name instead of referring to him as elf boy or elf guide that her smile dropped. Koray sighed and walked on, not even pausing on his way to Pine. She could rant and rave all she wanted and he wasn't going to acknowledge it. That was how you taught kids how to behave after all. Maybe it would work on the thorny 'Kia' as well.
Sauron on the other hand, wasn't going to listen to Gaki berate Koray while she was on his back. All it took to make Gaki slide off was for Sauron to lift his hind legs and buck the winged monster off. The Deino laughed though he did have mercy on the little Sidra and picked her up, letting her ride on his back while he ran away. Nope, not going to let a foul mouthed fairy ride on his back! Koray didn't even try to stop Sauron this time. He was actually quite proud of the Deino for not biting 'Kia' again. Maybe Sauron was learning after all.
Gaki was a little distracted by grinning and cooing back to Sidra, waiting for her message to sink in to the stupid elf-guide, only to let out what must have been a loud gasp as she felt herself falling- wait- pacman no?! The girl couldn't stop herself, her coordination was awful, too low a level to be able to save herself from disaster. Almost in slow motion the girl moved to tighten her hold on the Happiny in her arms, only letting out a confused noise as Sidra was... taken... from her?? The mon let out a soft squeak of confusion, tiny arm reaching out for her trainer. Gaki squeezed her eyes shut right before impact- landing right into the snow with a soft crack- not of bone, but of expensive cosplay plastic- her wings snapped right in two.
There was a stunned moment of silence where she moved to look around her for a moment, getting her bearings... Gaki's costume was soaked through,m her hair was a mess, and her expensive wings... Oh- oh Gaki was fucking pissed. This was worse than the time she had to restart her save 673 times to beat the final boss of a dungeon she was running through- this... she'd gone through ages planning all this out, saving up the limited money her dad sent her...
A sob left her, and her hands balled into fists, still in the snow she just... sat there. One breath, two breath... The trainer could have stopped "You shapeshifter- you're not a bloody elf- an elf would have stopped this travesty, they would have had some damn- damn compassion?!" and... he was taking off with Sidra?! Gaki didn't have it in her to run- she was upset, she was devastated. Even if she tried to glue it together the crack would show and ruin the illusion.
She didn't know what to say, or do... she didn't have good athletics skill, she was really cold, and she was five seconds from calling Sid- was.. was her phone even on her?!
The resounding crack that was the fairy's wings breaking had Koray stopping just as Sauron came up to him with the Happiny on his back. A sigh escaped him as a hand came to his face, rubbing a temple while Freda stopped and turned around to see 'Kia' in the snow looking like she was about ready to cry. As much as he wanted to leave this insulting difficult person behind, he couldn't just leave her in the snow. Of course her insults didn't help matters either but were met with a shrug. He was used to insults, but it didn't mean he had to stick around to hear them. It was only the fact that Sauron had caused this that made him turn around at all.
Motioning for Freda to move back with him, Koray held out a hand to 'Kia' and helped her to her feet, immediately helping her pull those wings from the corset without listening to argument from her. There was a pretty big crack in the wings but it looked like it was fixable if they got home soon enough. "Forgive my insolence, but we must hurry onward if you want to save your wings. And do be wary of insults, dear Kia. Sauron doesn't take kindly to them, nor do I," Koray said softly, putting the damaged wings in front of him on Freda while Rowan was told to stay by Sauron's side to ensure he behaved.
The Phantump made up a makeshift lead out of leaves and branches before tying it around the Deino's mouth and handing the reigns to Kia. Freda didn't want to wait up and was already moving onward at rapid pace. Koray's home wasn't that much further and even Sauron knew that. As soon as Kia managed to get on him again, the Deino took off, easily overtaking Freda in the rush to get home. Hopefully Kia would learn and keep her mouth shut unless she wanted to land in yet another snowbank.
