Eri hardly had time for herself these days! The stars had become much more adamant on her seeking out clients and getting her name more well known, which resulted in long, tiresome walks up and down the same streets of Birch- stars, she had the whole city's layout practically memorized by name! But, it was fine. Despite how repetitive, and sometimes unrewarding her constant trips were, they were always worth it- if she could make even one star shimmer a little brighter, or gain a smile, then she was happy to do everything all again- even until she died!
She'd gone out today with one of her netted baskets, stuffed with blankets and her Chingling and Wingull egg- she'd triple checked before she left that they were fit nice and snuggled up in there, just so the cold didn't get to them that much! And, as per usual she had her darling star guide Cosma perched on her shoulder, helping her on the look out for potential clients.
It wasn't unusual for people to come up to her of their own accord- Eri looked peculiar. Lolita fashion was her go-to, it was cute, and the stars adored it! It was the easiest way to attract buisness, and she felt super-stellar in it! The celestials above must be so proud of her.
Down the streets of birch, basket held tightly in her hands and a soft-spoken Natu on her shoulder, she was on the lookout for anybody who stood out, anybody who she could just... spot- to bless their day- their week- or even their year!
Willow had been walking the streets of Birch that day, trying to explore. There were quite a few people there that day. It was around lunch time, which meant that people were trying to get in a meal before they went back into work. Since Willow's farm was in Cherry, she couldn't really do much working in Birch. Instead, she was hoping to make a friend, or maybe look at the botanical gardens before heading back onto Route 1 and towards Cedar. She had already explored there, but that didn't mean she couldn't go back to explore it.
Looking at all the people walk by her, she looked to see a person in an amazingly adorable accent. Living in a pretty rural community, she never actually got to see people who were as unique as the girl in the Loli outfit. So, as she walked up to her, she said in a very strong and enthused southern accent, "Oh my goodness, that is an amazing outfit you got there. What's it for exactly? Is it your normal attire, or do you just wear it for special occasions? I myself don't really wear too outstanding of clothes, but its still cute and southern like me." Although her hair used to be covered by a sunhat, she opted for a green silk ribbon instead. She tied it around her head to create a bow at the top of it. She still wore he usual sundress though. This one was white and had yellow sunflowers on it. Around her feet were golden sandals that shined in the sun. Like she said to Eri, her outfit was cute but it wasn't as put together as the girl's before her's, which made Willow astounded.
Eri had been thoroughly debating crossing the street to see if she could interest an elderly couple in a prediction when a voice broke her from her thoughts, and she whirled around on her heel to notice an enthusiastic orange haired girl. A beam practically split on the purple haired girls face as she flushed slightly at the compliment- now this girl? She's a star. "Thank you, Cygni!" The girl bounced on her heels for a moment, as the cosma on her shoulder let out a soft chirp, scrutinizing Willow curiously.
The girls question was simple enough to answer, Eri never left her house unless she was dressed in her most stellar lolita look, it was just something she'd done since she was young! For her the very idea of the style wasn't abnormal in the slightest. "You could say it's normal clothing for me- my wardrobe is full of stellar clothing like this!" Another laugh, "Though, the main purpose of my clothes is to appease the stars above~"
The girl continued smiling, hoping none of what left her mouth sounded abnormal in the slightest. As she spoke Cosma was sure to keep her gaze at the eggs in Eri's basket, if Eri jostled it too much she'd squawk to let the girl know. "Your outfit is blessed by the stars too, though! Which is no surprise, I can only assume you're going to shine brightly one day, it's actually very common with southerners and-" She cut herself off with a gasp, shaking her head. "Sorry, sorry- where are my manners, i'm Eri Novae, guide to the stars!"
Listening to the girl answer Willow's question was amazing. She seemed like a truly outstanding person. After all, talking about the stars and all that was really cool. Of course, Willow wasn't exactly sure what she meant by it, but it had to be pretty amazing for someone like her to appreciate them as much as she did. So, Willow didn't question it. After all, everyone was allowed to believe in whatever. If that meant the stars, then she would let the urbaner talk about it without no end. She might not be able to follow, but at least it'd be a conversation she'd never had before. That's something Willow loved, something new. That's all she really wanted in life. That's why she went away from her parent's legacy to create her own.
Now that the girl had finished up her side of the conversation, Willow reached out her hand for a handshake, saying to her in a very warm tone, "Don't you worry about it. My name's Willow! Thanks for all the kind things you said, but what exactly do you mean by the stars? I'm a southern girl, so I don't know much about the beliefs of those in the city. It seems very amazing the way you're portraying it though. It makes me want to smile my biggest smile. After all, someone as outstanding as you, talking about something like that is truly a wonder!" Her smile was as big as ever as she talked about the topic. She knew that this person would be interesting. So much so, that she wanted to be friends with her more than anything in the world. Maybe she could tell her about what the "stars" have to say, but having her receive compliments from Eri also wouldn't be too bad either.
Ah! So her name was Willow! Eri'd have to remember that for her star log. At the girls questioning about star's Eri was practically radiating excitement, she always adored speaking about them, letting people know about them and just... teaching others. Though a lot of people didn't appreciate the sentiment, and the last thing she wanted to do was push it. "You really wanna know, Willow?" she waited a beat, as if expecting the girl to go back on all the wonderfully stellar things she'd said, but yet there was nothing, and Eri grinned. "Well! In this world, we all have potential for greatness, right? Our whole lives are determined byyyy...." A hand moved to gesture to the sky, "The stars! Each constellation is actually a celestial being... each planet holds significance to us here on earth.... Imagine Arceus, but much, much bigger and capable of miraculous things!" She brought a hand down to rest on her egg, "The simplest way to put it is your whole life has already been determined by the stars above, and it's the job of star guides, who are the constellations or stars above's helpers to guide people towards their fates and help them achieve every milestone possible!"
There was a pause, as if Eri'd realized she'd been rambling and an awkward giggle left her lips. "Are you with me so far?"
As the girl suddenly perked up about the bringing up of the stars, Willow got pumped up for it too. To think that she'd try to back away so quickly was insane to Willow, because she just shook her head no, and said to her, "Of course not! How could I be unsure about something that sounds so cool!" With that, she listened in to see what the girl would say next. She was eager to learn more about the "stars" or whatever, because all she really knew about them, was that they looked pretty at night.
Listening to what she had to say, Willow was truly amazed. Every night, her mother would stay up with her to look at the stars above and tell of each of their stories. She had never explained it like Eri did, but it made a bit of sense to Willow. That didn't mean she was gonna about the person's views, but it also didn't mean she didn't understand what she was trying to say. So, with a need to learn more, Willow said back to her question, "Yeah. So, you're saying that the stars helped me realize my dream of creating a farm of my own, away from my parents? One where I could create a legacy of my own? If so, that sounds amazing?" She truly was amazed by the girl's tales, which made her even pumped for what she had to say next.
Eri was practically bouncing on the spot, enthralled with being able to teach about a topic she adored oh-so much. The stars were something she entirely adored way too much, perhaps it's due to her being raised around them, or how long she's spent devoting hours upon hours of her day pleasing the celestials above- it's anybodies guess. As the girl further asked about the stars leading Willow to her dream, Eri brought a finger to her chin, drawing out the dramatics.
"Perhapppps it was the stars- though it was possibly predetermined that you'd get here from the moment you were created! They planned your whole life out for you- even you meeting me right here, where we stand!" She moved to gesture around herself now, practically sparkling where she stood. "But a farm sounds amazing! You're truly going to shine, especially perusing your passion!"
As if realising something, Eri let out a gasp. "Oh right- I haven't explained! I'm what one calls a star-guide- I help stars reach their potential so when inevitably they pass, they shine as bright as they possibly could have and stick to their predetermined fates!" A hand goes to her hip now and she grins, "There are two types of people, Cygni! Star-Guides, who are gifted by the celestials above with powers to help guide Stars! And Stars are those who walk the earth with stellar potential to shine brightly in their future!"
There's a pause, "It might be a little confusing- but what i'm getting at is..." A hand pointed to the girl now, and Eri grinned. "You, Cygni, are a star! And it's predicted that you'll shine brightly!"
