Eri had woken up this morning with her two babies itching for some time outside- and she could only asume they had cabin fever being cooped up in her nursery- which was fine! She had time to spare anyways, she wasn't going out star-seeking until later in the night anyways. She found herself dolled up, probably very unequipped for the cold in a cute, stellar outfit that would probably make the celestials fairly happy.
Of course- none of that matters when she's on the back of a large dubwool. Arche probably assumed that Eri, and the trouble duo, were probably going out for lunch, and was fairly insistant in tagging along- so that's probably why she found herself half submerged in fur, holding tightly to his horns while Halo and Pegasi squealed and coo'd besides her, keeping pace with the Dubwool while still excitedly mucking around.
It obviously was freezing, much too cold to be wearing the type of sleeveless get-up that Eri was, but it'd appease the stars! She always had to look her best incase she stumbled upon clients, afterall. She'd also tucked away two eggs in her satchel, cradelled by blankets. Her Raltz egg and her Shroomish egg- hopefully... they'd be able to relax and just have a decent time traversing the route.
Thank Arceus they had managed to get at least some warmer clothes, especially given that the weather had only gotten colder over the last few days. Aside from that, Wren had wanted to see more of Arciel. Route 7 seemed the best way to do that and maybe see some of the infamous Bulbasaur they kept hearing about. While riding Alouette, they kept an eye out for anyone nearby and... then saw someone.... that looked like they'd stepped out of a storybook? Who would choose to wear something like that willingly?
Regardless, it seemed they were going the same way so maybe it would be best to ask. Or at the very least make themselves known. Dressed in a black and red spiderweb shirt, a worn winter jacket, under a hooded graycardigan, a pair of black jeans with some fashionable black boots, and an assorted array of accessories including a chain, earrings, and of course the ever present skull hair clip. They had even decided to put on a little bit of makeup today and probably looked a little intimidating at first glance. Of course, the fact that they were riding a Galarian Ponyta didn't fit with Wren's general aesthetic, but oh well. Alouette was a good girl.
Riding up to the storybook girl, they couldn't pass up the opportunity to comment on the chosen outfit. "Dear me~, you look like you stepped out of a book~," Wren mused, tilting their head to the side as they took in the stars now that they had a closer look at the dress, "Are you certain you're not terribly cold~? It's quite frigid today after all~."
The two babies running alongside Eri and Arche had noticed the stranger first, cooing and mewling in an attempt to get Eri's attention, however the girl was rather set on checking on the two eggs in her bag as Arche continued forward, and hadn't noticed the stranger until their voice broke the stellar girls thoughts. Eyes wide, Eri turned her head, almost immediately brightening at the strangers presence! As they spoke Eri couldn't help giggling softly, "Right out of a book?" She shook her head, "It's just a stellar fashion style!" She moved to gently pat Arche, as if to remind the dubwool to slow down as she took in the star next to her.
Dark in aesthetic, but still willing to come up and talk to her? Now that was star behavior if she'd ever determined it! Eri's eyes practically sparkled as she spoke again, "It's not that cold! If the stars fated for me to wear this, then i'll wear it. A little ice never harmed a star-guide~"
She brought a hand to her cheek then, the star looked radient, actually- the clash of aesthetic between their pokemon and them was simply extraterrestrial! "You're simply shining with potential! You've got to be a stellar star, right?" A head tilt then, "I can already see the potential- are you perhaps a model? a traveller?"
The girl's words were... rather confusing to say the least of things and Wren was fighting the urge to deadpan. Really? since when did anyone talk this way? What was with the talk about stars? Star guides? Alright then... it seemed this girl's head was a little scrambled, wasn't it~. "Mmm, I just meant that it is quite similar to that storybook... what is it, Alice in Wonderland? Shall I call you, Alice, then~," Wren mused, managing to smile once again even as 'Alice' adamantly declared that it wasn't that cold.
Not that cold?! That... it was freezing outside and the only reason Wren wasn't cold was because of the many layers they had on... and yet, this 'Alice' declared that she wasn't cold? Deadpanning briefly, Wren managed to shake the expression off their features and gave an attempt at a smile. "What are you even talking about?" Wren asked, laughing a little now, "I am most definitely not a star. Though I do appreciate the compliment of mistaking me for a model," they mused, not quite sure they wanted to stick around this girl who had... more than one screw loose.
Actually~, she could be quite useful, if not good for a laugh now and then. "I am simply an explorer wishing to see more of Arciel. It's unfortunate it's so cold today, but that can't be helped. My name's Wren, Alice~." Even if Alice wasn't the girl's name, it was still quite the amusing nickname given her attire.
Alice in wonderland? Oh! The one where the girl fell down the lopunny hole! She's pretty sure her mums gave her that when she was little, but she just kinda... doodled stars around the borders instead of actually reading.... but she did have a poofy dress! And... the star wanted to call her Alice? That.. wasn't her name though- and if the stranger thought 'Alice' when they saw Eri, then they wouldn't be aware of her business, it wouldn't stick! "It's a little bit similar- I think some of the style was inspired by the book..."
Probably- there was a lot of Alice inspired lolita fashion! Arche continued to keep pace with the strangers own mon, albeit reluctantly, while Halo and Pegasi trotted along at his heels. As the stranger refused the idea of being a star Eri found herself shaking her head, "Ah- you misunderstand. I mean a star in terms of your potential to shine brightly in the future! And you most definitely radiate the possibility of being somebody stellar!" A grin then, "I could explain further but... that might cause more confusion- let's just say that I was put here to help the stars get to their full potential~"
Did that work? Or make sense? Eri was gonna have to work on her explanations! Oh- they were an explorer? They're always great to work with! At their explanation of being cold Eri's eyebrow raised. "I could offer a blanket if you want?" Eri tilted her head, it was wrapped around the two eggs in her bag but... she could easily take off a sash or a ribbon to pad it up if neccesary- the most important thing right now was the stars comfort. "Buuuut it's nice to meet you, Quasar! I'm Eri Novae, breeder and caterer to the stars!" She's offer a hand, but instead kept it holding steady to Arche, who grumbled a little. "I'm a star-guide, which might help sort out any confusion- the stars gifted me with the ability of being able to see the fates- or rather the future! And through that, I help stars achieve what I see!"
Thank you captain obvious. Yes, yes, Wren knew that the dress was inspired by the story. That was precisely why they referred to this 'Eri' as Alice. It took almost everything within them not to roll their eyes as Alice went on to try and explain this 'star' business. The rather awful explanation only earned a derisive snort before Wren shook their head. The offer for a blanket had them blinking in confusion. "No, I'm fine?" Wren asked-stated, "I'm just unaccustomed to Arciel winters. Kalos is so much warmer," they continued, shrugging a little.
Of course then Alice went and called them... Quasar? Arceus, this girl is crazy. "Didn't I just say my name is Wren, Alice dear~," they hummed, making Alouette whinny nervously. She didn't like it when Wren used that tone of voice. Of course a few pats calmed the Ponyta down enough that she went back to the smooth, steady pace.
The last thing that Alice said was something about star-guides but what really caught their attention was hearing about seeing the future. Is that so~? Well then, maybe this Alice wasn't completely useless after all. "Mmm? Well, Alice, what's my future~?"
A nod at Wren's explanation about not being cold, Eri stayed where she was sitting, nestled in the fur or Arche, who was huffing, wanting to get some form of a move-on, Eri had two eggs to hatch! Wren's next words had Eri raising an eyebrow, laughing softly, "Annnd didn't I introduce myself as Eri, Quasar?" A head tilt, "It's a name given by the stars, I can promise I did get your name- but the stars titled me Eri... it's your choice what you call me, of course!"
Oh?! Wren wanted to know their future, Eri let out a out hum, glancing over her shoulder and grinning, "Oh?! You really wanna know?" She brought her hands together, "It'd be my pleasure-uh- I do need you a little closer- and i'll have to grab your hands for the connection, if that's alright? You'll have to keep your mind open and your breathing even."
What's with this girl? Wren was most definitely not amused by hearing Eri or 'Alice' call them Quasar for a second time. Or was it third? Either way, they didn't like it and pursed their lips a little. "How about we make a deal~. I'll keep calling you Alice as long as you insist on calling me Quasar~," Wren hummed, stroking Alouette's mane a bit in order to calm themselves done.
Of course the mention of future had them curious. Even if Alice was a bit of a loon, there could be some truth to this prediction bit. If not, it could always be something to hold against her. "Sure~," Wren hummed, smiling a little. Though the instructions that followed had them raising an eyebrow in uncertainty. Really? Was this some kind of fluke?
"Do I have to say some magic words too~?" Wren teased a little, though they did motion for Alouette to move a little closer so they could take Alice's hands. Mind open and breathing even? Sure, whatever you say sweetie~.
Hmmm... fair deal! If that's what the star wanted, to call her Alice, then there's nothing Eri could do to stop them. She shrugged her bag up further onto her shoulder, containing her two eggs and smiled, gently nudging Arche to slow down ever so slightly. Wren came closer and offered their hands and Eri smiled gently, "Nope, but... I do have to say a few things. Just keep breathing and i'll hopefully get something good."
Outstretched hands were taken and Eri took a few breaths, lets do this! This could possibly get her a client, and she could hopefully appease the stars! She opened her mouth and began to speak, "To the stars up above, and all the celestials listening, I pray to have the fates unravelled and shown to me of the star who's connection is saught- to the stellar Quasar of the aisles- by the name of Wren." Her eyes closed and she bowed her head slightly, "Please give me guidance, and lead the way to things only guides are able to see."

Eri saw many things, eyes pressing together tighter for a moment... and it was then she was able to note this star was different than they may appear. Sadness. Hysteria, madness. Family, belonging, all sorts of concepts and ideas were brought forward from the celestials, gently nudged behind her eyelids and letting Eri see a world that only star guides were able to see. "I see a plethora of stellar things..." She said softly, finaly bringing her eyes open, staring at Wrenova more with slightly curiosity than anything. "I see transferals of information, crimes aided to by the twinkles of other stars, woes interwoeven to create an empire beyond your greatest desire." It appeared to be... some sort of criminal empire, underground, hidden, setting people up, "Notoriety, wealth of information... I see despair, fragility- lost hope being returned through whispers of white, intermingled with green and red- a warm home, long-lost family." She gently let go of Wren's hands to urge Arche to a stop, still speaking, "I see new beginings and wonderous ends, seasons and seasons of staring anew mingled with the shadowy forgiveness of an underground scope- your future includes happy glances, unfamiliar but welcome, a past once removed, a door sealed and a key thrown away."
How peculiar! But, Eri could definitely get the picture for the type of star Wrenova was! "Thank you, stars, for aiding me in seeing this sparkles future. Thought some may see it as dark, it's fated for it to shine in ways lost to some others." She shifted, sending Wrenova a beaming smile, "How did I do? I apologize if it was nowehere close- if it is, I do have a wide variety of stars who may be able to help you and know some decent locations to go searching for them, otherwise~?"
As Alice started to speak, Wren was more amused than not. This girl is absolutely bonkers. She really thought that she was talking to the stars? What were they going to do, start a meteor shower in broad daylight? Of course the words that followed were quite a bit different than Wren was expecting. This future thing, seeing 'stellar' things? Heh, yeah right, more like crazy visions. Well, that was until Alice started talking about information and crimes... something about an empire?
Almost immediately, after hearing that, Wren yanked their hands away, startling Alouette in the process. Of course, Alice hadn't finished speaking yet they seemed to be looking at them curiously. I don't like this. Everything within them was screaming to run, to get away from this loon that had somehow seen things that she had never breathed a word to anyone. Not once had they said how much they longed for a family and... yet... they couldn't. Wren remained rooted to the spot, as if they wanted to hear the rest. Yet... it couldn't be true. There was no way that Alice could know those things.
Very real fear passed over Wren's features as they now clung to Alouette, hands shaking at the very thought that someone knew them. The real them. More than that though, Alice was still speaking... she was... offering help? No... No, they couldn't accept this. They wouldn't accept this. All of a sudden, Wren was pulling Alouette away and they were running away. Fast. Nobody, nobody was supposed to know the truth. Not like this.
Eri was confused, especially when Wren ripped their hands away! And they were looking at her like... she'd just told them somebody was dying, which she was sure she hadn't predicted- but she'd seen that expression before! Maybe her prediction had just been so ba- OH MY STARS THEY WERE RUNNING?! Why are you running?! "Why are you running?!" Eri was beyond confused, and at first had attempted to get ARche to speed up to catch up with the star, Eri was lost, but- she had to help this star!! Especially after seeing that expression, if only to like, apologize!
Arche refused to speed up, and so Eri went to plan B. She quickly slid off Arche and began joging, holding her bag close to her while grabbing out the balls of Arche, Halo and Pegasi, returning them swiftly- right- she also had... one more mon with her- Celeste!
The Ditto was released and blobbled besides her, one googey arm raising in a wave however Eri could only point at Celeste in response, "Star mission! Transform into Cosma and teleport me about... 50 feet thatta-way!" Eri nodded in the direction Wren was heading off and Celeste let out a blubbering noise, form shifting and changing before she resembled Eri's green companion, Cosma, and then suddenly Eri struggled to keep her balance, vision going white before reappearing ever so slightly behind where Wren was- right- right okay. "Celeste, galarian ponyta!" It took no more then a few seconds for Celeste's form to shift into the Ponyta, and in that time Eri was still running, bag clutched tightly to her so the eggs didn't get damaged. The Ponyta easily caught up with her and Eri slowed, if only to hold on and secure herself before directing the Ponyta forwards, gaining speed. "Quasar, slow down! Why are you running- I don't wanna hurt the stars, was my prediciton wrong?"
Wren was gaining speed again and Eri begged the stars for help, tightening her grip on Celeste's form- uh- uhm... "I've have celeste tranform into something else if you don't slow down- and i'm a breeder so I have a bunch of star-guides at the ready, please slow down!"
Wren kept running, not caring what Alice said. They could hear Alice running beside them, now riding a Galarian Ponyta just like Alouette. While this normally would've been a curiosity, the only thing screaming in Wren's mind at that moment was to run. No matter what that meant. Urging Alouette onward, the Galarian Ponyta ran even faster, ignoring whatever Alice said afterwards at least until the threat was issued. MJ certainly would've acted if Wren wasn't going so fast.
Well, at least that was until a Minior appeared in front of them and used a Confuse Ray on Alouette. Apparently it didn't like being scared and it was enough to make the Ponyta stumble, Wren falling off her back thereafter. Ow... Dammit, not now. A Quick Ball would be thrown at the Minior before Wren tried to climb right back on their Ponyta. They were still far too scared to even attempt to talk to Alice. The interruption might have stalled them momentarily, but they were going to try and put as much distance between them and Alice as possible.
Of course, that was easier said than done when poor Alouette kept stumbling. As long as Wren could hold on to her... everything would be okay... right?
They kept running, and that made Eri just want to help them even more- they were scared of thier future, and it was her job to make them shine! To make them... the best shiny criminal! Was that bad? Probably not... but... Eri didn't understand why they were so scared, at all. "Please, slow down!" It was repeated once more, her grip on Celeste being tight as she tried to steer the transformed ditto forwards- there was a loud cry from near her and Eri barely dodged a Bayleef who had been in the way- aaaaaaah! Bayleef sent by the celestials- uhm- uhhh-
Eri steered to a stop, turning back to look at the startled Bayleef and grabbing a ball out of her satchel, twisting ever so slightly before launching it in the Bayleef's direction, just hoping that that would be enough apology.
No! Stars, why did you fail her like this! A loud sigh left Eri and, as the Bayleef got further away she had to force Celeste to slow down slighty, shifting a little before managing to slip off her back. "Celeste- transform to Cosma and teleport to the Bayleef-"
Celeste was quick on her feet, blipping with Eri over to where the Bayleef glared at them. She didnt wanna give the Bayleef a chance, and quickly went, "Ominous wind!" And Celeste, as Cosma was quick to comply, snapping a harsh dark wind in Bayleefs direction and causing the pokemon to flinch back slightly, a cry leaving them. They launched back with a razor leaf, which left Celeste slightly out of it for a second, but, Ei was adamant. She shifted and tossed out an ultra ball, she couldn't waste any time! The star needed her!
Was the catch not fated by the stars? Eri could only watch, bouncing foot to foot as the Bayleef launched out of the ball, a loud cry leaving them. She wasn't about to give up, that wasn't how Eri worked! As the Bayleef used synthesis, being engulfed with a bright, healing light she took a second to think of what to do... right... Celeste was Cosma right now. And the only other attacking move was... night shade! Okay! Eri took a breath before calling out, "Celeste, I predict you'll use night shade!"
Celeste launched forward in Cosma's unfamiliar form a a swirl of purple and blues directed outward to the Bayleef, capturing them in a swirl of colours and draining their HP. A loud cry was their response, but Eri stood firm. She didn't like battling, but if it's what the fates wanted.... there was a brief back and forth, and after a few moments Eri yelled out once more, throwing the Ultra Ball.
