Set in the original region of Arciel, Legends Rising is a route-inspired, but not strictly route-based, Pokemon roleplay. Pick a faction, pick a class, and strike out into the wild to take on the League, master Contest coordination, research the mysteries of Pokemon and Arciel, and much, much more. Will you be a classic trainer? A criminal? A farmer? Choose your destiny on Legends Rising.
Three optional icebreaker questions are offered: 1. If you had one extra hour of free time a day, how would you use it? 2. Besides war and diplomacy, what would be the best way for countries to settle disputes? 3. What is one article of clothing that someone could wear that would make you walk out on a date with them?
Feel free to discuss any of these or use your own icebreaker!
Having just come off a rather good date Faolan didn't hold very high expectations for this next one - as mean as that might sound, but perhaps that was a good thing. That meant that even if this one wasn't bad, she wasn't expecting all that much so it took a little pressure off the both of them, right? Right.
She got to the table a little early and as such spent some time watching the other couples get settled in. Since there was hardly any time between rounds she hadn't changed, nor had she thought to bring any change of clothes and so was dressed perhaps a little too casually in her leggings and black cardigan. Everyone else here as in varying ranks of clothing wear, with someone even wearing a track suit and others wearing very glitzy, glamorous dresses.
Her gaze turned to the card on the table and she read the name with a sinking feeling. Adelaide sounded like a girls' name, and while she didn't dislike girls, she tended not to get along with them for some reason. With the exception of Prim, who was soft enough that she'd thawed a bit of Faolan's icy demeanor enough they could hold a decent conversation. Perhaps there was a certain type she got along with better than most, who knows.
Soon enough there's a girl approaching the table in a metallic slip dress, heels clacking on the floor. Faolan glanced up to see who she can only suppose is Adelaide approach the table, and she gave the petite girl a small smile that she hoped was comforting.
"Adelaide?" She inquired, a bit of her Galar accent bleeding through. She tried to speak kindly, trying to ease them both into the awkwardness of being on a date with a complete stranger. Again. "Lovely to meet you."

Adelaide was still nervous, and utterly terrified. Every little thing she could do or say would get scrutinized, obviously, because the people she'd be paired with would be judging her, sizing her up- is Adelaide Gladstone good enough?! That's surely what they'd be thinking, right? She'd barely survived that last date, and she wanted to leave- she thought she could handle talking to girls but here she was, barely managing to keep herself together as she slowly made her way across the room, weaving between tables and peeking at nametages on them. At least... she looked the part of a confident girl- or- or had she overdone it?!
Without the familiar weight of her fake glasses she felt all the more out of place, especially finally nearing her destination- and noticing a blonde who'd seemed to see her first- eyes piercing blue, looking casual, calm maybe?? collected?! Everything Adelaide was not- and?! She was- she looked like girls that she'd seen in her hometown- of course they were tall sailor girls but oh my arce- Adelaide- Adelaide it's okay. She had been standing still for a few seconds, lips pursed slightly as she attempted to get a grasp on the fact she was doing this again... somebody help her.
Why did pretty girls exist. Adelaide pulled out a chair and sat down, trying her best to attempt a smile- one she'd seen in magazines- if she overdid it she could get judged and cursed out right off the bat, and she wouldn't know what to do with herself- did she look weird? Did the girl think she looked weird- wait- wait she was talking -uh...
Her name- Adelaide's name left the girls lips and it took everything for Adelaide not to lose consciousness right then and there- oh she couldn't handle this, not at all! "Y-yes?!" She practically squeaked it out, nerves cracking the surface of her perfectly painted picture- mew no! She posed her answer like the girl- uh... Adelaide squinted at the card then- Faolan- like she had asked a question, and then instantly fell back on it. "I...I m-mean- yes, y-yes! That's m-me- Adelaide- h-hello!" But you hadn't saved it Adelaide, she probably thought you were overcompensating now, watch her get up and leave right then, and right there!
Lovely... to meet her?! Was it- w- lovely?! LOVELY?!? Adelaide's hands clutched tightly at her lap and she had to gulp, what did people say in movies again? Like- normal people- who could look people in the eye and not struggle with a normal social interaction- how did talking work?! Why was her mouth suddenly dry?!
"...L-Likewise.. you.. y-you look like you could be a sailor." It just slipped out, and almost immediately the girl's eyes widened, wait- no?! She didn't mean to say that! Faolan could take offense, watch her walk out- watch her storm the place, announce that Adelaide Gladstone was a failure at life! "S-Sorry.. .uh- I... I d-didn't mean anything by that- uh..."
And then she went quiet, practically radiating awkwardness and... probably fear. Was it hot in here?! Was she sweaty? It wouldn't show through her dress, right?! Help, please.
From the moment Adelaide opened her mouth Faolan could tell she was nervous. The stuttering was a telltale giveaway not to mention the way she was gulping, clutching at her lap, etc. She liked to think that she wasn't that intimidating and that this was all purely a reaction on her date's end - moreso when she could practically hear the squeak in Adelaide's voice and noted that the girl looked like she were about to faint.
Despite what Adelaide may think, there was some small part of her that appealed to Faolan's protective side; she had a tendency to look after people that were uncomfortably awkward and soft. So it was that she smiled her most reassuring smile, and moved to say something comforting - but then that tidbit about looking like a sailor slipped out and she was momentarily caught off guard. Had she just said... what... a sailor??? A sailor. The crew that worked ships in white uniforms and ... a sailor. What???
It was so absurd, so out of the blue that she couldn't help the laughter that spilled from her lips. And she tried to cover it with a hand, to stifle it and hopefully make the girl think she wasn't laughing at her (not particularly, she really didn't mean to, it was just so random) but she couldn't help herself. It felt like she hadn't laughed quite like this in ages, and so it took a bit before she could reel herself in.
Perhaps her guard had taken a hit from her previous date? Who knows.
"You're fine, you're fine -- but a sailor? I've never been called.... a sailor before..." She spoke in between the occasional laugh she couldn't quite get control of. "I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted."
Post by Adelaide Gladstone on Feb 11, 2020 12:39:25 GMT
At least the girl seemed nice, she was smiling and- oh. Oh. Oh arceus. Adelaide's face became a ghostly white and she could only bury her face in her hands out of sheer embarresment. She just shouldn't talk. She'd made a fool out of herself- Faolan was laughing, at her probably- but at what?! Was it what she said? Or how she looked? Was there something in her teeth?! What if Faolan was a spy for her sister and found it so utterly ridiculous that Adelaide had let herself get dragged off to this date thing in the first place and wouldn't hesitate to ruin her once again- the covers in the newspaper would read Adelaide Gladstone, the girl you all should be laughing at!
Should she leave?! Arceus, uh- uh- uhm- uh. Breathe, Addy. She could feel her eyes sting a little but shook her head- it's fine- it's fine- Faolan didn't say anything! She- maybe.. maybe somebody tripped over behind you! She was just about to stand up and excuse herself probably, until the girl spoke once more... She was fine? So... so she wasn't... laughing at her?
Adelaide uncovered her face slightly, eyes narrowed ever so slightly in confusion. She was mortified, but... as the girl continued speaking she could only bow her head- right- right- it was about being called a sailor- she wasn't offended right?! Or- oh- oh Adelaide'd have to save this right now.
"B-Be flattered- please- it's- i-it's not an insult- i-i'm sorry if it come out that way I... uh..." She shook her head a little and moved to cross her hands tightly over herself, eyes moving to her lap. "I-I'm... from Sinnoh- a... a dock town- a-and- I grew up a-around really... uh- nice- decent- d-decent looking sailors- a-and... it's- you seem tall and r-relax and it's just- sailors are like that- because you have to be when you're directing a boat or sailor or like- wave watching and coast guarding and- i'm so sorry??" She quickly shut herself up, eyes flicking to glance to Faolan looked more than embarrassed, "...S-Sorry..."
"I can't say I've ever been," She hummed, looking not at all offended at being called a sailor and actually still rather good-humored over it. "I've only left Galar recently. But I'll be sure to take your word for it. I expect you're the expert between the two of us, after all."
She had a feeling she was doing a rather poor job at getting the other to feel less nervous, and almost wished she'd thought to bring Reddy along with her to break the ice a bit. The bird was quirky enough to be able to do something about Adelaide's rattled nerves, she was sure of it. As it was, though, she was more or less on her own, and this was a situation she still hadn't quite adjusted to. Most people that tended to get nervous or even frightened of her cleared off, but Adelaide was essentially... trapped? If that was the right word for it? She was sure the girl could outright run out of the room if she wanted, and the fact she was staying despite her nerves said a lot about her.
Or maybe she was too scared to run, who knew.
"Thank you for the compliment," She spoke softly, thinking for a moment over what to say in return. If they were doing comparisons, then... "You look like a..." Something nautical-related, since she was from a port town? Would that help? "... tiny mermaid." There we go.
Post by Adelaide Gladstone on Feb 14, 2020 2:30:19 GMT
Galar?! That's... so far away- not that Sinnoh isn't far away but it's like, super far, sorta... she didn't do well in geography. But maybe Faolan came to Arciel for similar reasons that she did- not... coordination but like, maybe just, doing new things in a new region?! Or... something. "I-I'm not expert or anything- my d-dad is- actually- I just... I just s-spent a lot of time at that town... so..." More like you refused to even leave the house, Adelaide. But she didn't need to know that, that'd make her view on her even worse and that's the last thing Adelaide wanted!
Her hands squeezed and unsqueezed in her lap, trying to keep her focus and from her thoughts drifting off- somebody told her it shows in her eyes when that happens and the last thing she wants is to be seen as a mess of a girl who's incapable of being part of a regular conversation without overthinking every little aspect of it.
A thanks was given and Addy bowed her head slightly at the response, a very soft mumble of, "I-It was no problem..." leaving her- did that come off as rude?! Oh- oh no- maybe you're not supposed to reply to thankses... or... uh.. uhm... She was just about to get lost in her usual spiral of thoughts when Faolan spoke again, and Adelaide's eyes opened slightly wider... tiny... mermaid?!
Mermaid- oh! Oh! "U-Uhm- w-well... actually- I- uh- dressed up as a mermaid for t-the regions seasonly o-october showcase- f-for my set- u-uhm..." Adelaide you're opening up far too quick! But she couldn't stop herself, looking far too bashful about disclosing the information she averted her gaze, "T-Though... there was issues w-with the voting and... and n-nobody won- uh- uhm-I - I had...- m-mermaid makeup... a-and... and- mermaid pantsuit- a-and- it- it was o-ocean themed..."
She shut up a second, shaking her head and pushing her lips together, a squeak of, "D-Do you... want to see? I have pictures??" Leaving her.
She listened to all of this intently, nodding at the right places and offering encouraging noises every time Adelaide's stuttering seemed to worsen. With people like this she had nothing but endless patience, and whereas some might have gotten annoyed after a few seconds Faolan found many of her mannerisms endearing; it was like humoring a shy child.
As the girl started to elaborate about seasons and showcases and sets and voting, Faolan slowly started to put the pieces together. This all sounded like contest and coordinator talk, a subject she was not entirely familiar with. The circles she had run with had their fingers in the contest circuit, of course, and her mother had tried to instill in her a sense of appreciation for the art, but Faolan had more of a battler's blood in her than coordinator's, and so she feigned an interest to the best of her ability. It was enough to get people off her back and leave her alone.
But that was then. This was now. She still didn't have much interest in it, but to this Adelaide girl it seemed like she was deep in the business. Possibly a coordinator herself, if her words were to be believed. She hadn't given Faolan a reason not to believe her yet, so the blonde nodded and laced her fingers together under her chin. She didn't really have to try to feign interest; her curiosity was piqued and she was genuinely intrigued to see if the girl looked as nervous in the pictures as she did in real life.
"I would love to see them, if you wouldn't mind showing. I'm not one for fashion and contests myself," She confessed, "So I don't know much of the lingo associated with it."

Faolan would... love.. to... see them?! AHHH- that's good, that's good, right?! She wasn't going to take the pictures and post them all over the web so people could mock her over something her sister had been so proud of sending her- the last thing wanted was for Tawny to get assaulted by the media like Adelaide had when in Sinnoh. Adelaide all but rushed to yank her phone out, a slightly old model with a custom case of two girls hugging, one looking like a younger Adelaide while the other looked like a girl related to her, while a small phone charm with a Clauncher seemed to be attached from the top.
She wasted no time in going to her photos, flicking through until she came to what she was looking for, showing the individual items first from where they were bought. "T-These are the pants..." pictured was a pair of pants with iridescent scales crawling up them, with tones of seafoam green and cyan in differentiating shades, with the little pop of pink here and there, they had a large flare at the bottom imitating mermaid fins- all parts of the item looked to be able to shimmer. "A-And- I-I'm- not the type to w-wear like... a s-shell bra... or... anything..."
She flicked to the next image, one of a cropped top of a more pink colour, detailed with beads and a cyan trim, with frills decorating the top section. "...I- Uh- also wore a mesh top o-over it..." She spoke softly, flipping to the next picture which was a flimsy mesh top, nothing special except for it's gently colouring and the sparkles along it's hemlines and gently riding up the top. "My- m-my sister sent it over, s-she's... she's really supportive..."
Adelaide nervously flicked to the next image, which was Adelaide simply trying to costume on. It seemed to be screenshotted from some phone app as it had the caption 'tawny i can't wear this??????'. She definitely had a red face in the photo, and it was a basic mirror shot. She flicked to the next one, which was a shot of a face with makeup adorned to it, bold lashes and decorated to match the outfit, it looked something like this. "I k-know it's... n-not that good but, b-but it matched the theme- s-so- u-uhm..." Adelaide had been doing her makeup for years, but her confidence in it was low, so she quickly flipped past after she was sure Faolan got a look.
The next was her hair, adorned with seashells and other sea necessities. Her hair was not unlike how it was now, curled to the best of Adelaide's ability and a few braids were gently out in, with accesories like seaweed braided in. She didn't comment on it, face going red before finally flicking to the next one, which seemed to have been taken backstage before she went on, the girl holding an excited looking Clauncher in her arms as she holds her phone up, looking nervous yet some-what excited. "T-That's, uh- what it looked like together- and uh... uhm..." Adelaide let's her phone rest onthe photo then, "...y-yeah..."
Faolan made sure to pay special attention to the girl's explainations as she showed them off one by one. While she herself didn't have any kind of skill with creating things - although her most prominent talent would have to be making herself look decent with makeup - she could definitely appreciate the obvious care and time Adelaide had put into making a costume that was certainly mermaid-themed. The pictures were proof enough of that, since if you weren't proud of something you'd made, you wouldn't have documented it with such care or so extensively. At least, that's what she thought.
"I think even without the shell bra, it looks fantastic," She complimented once Adelaide had finished showing her the set of photos. "And your make up is amazing, too - I don't think I'd ever have the hand to blend as well as you do, or to pull it all together with lashes like that. Did you use glue or magnetic ones?"
Faolan didn't have anything of her own to share, but she was content enough to let the girl continue talking, especially since it was something she was passionate about. While it didn't feel like a date, Adelaide was endearing in her own right, and she didn't doubt the girl would find herself with someone that adored her at the end of the night. Or at least, that's what Faolan hoped.
"Was the Clauncher the pokemon you performed in the contest with? That's how it goes, right, in contests?"

She liked it?! She... she liked it?! Adelaide moves to pocket the phone then, a flush covering her cheeks as she holds back an unladylike noise of excitement, mainly at the fact they seemed to like something she put a lot of effort in- of course they could be faking and trying to toy with her, it's something her sister would do, but right now Adelaide wanted to focus on the benefit of the doubt. "G-Glue- I uhm... spent a l-lot of time indoors-" You spent your whole life apart from Arciel indoors, Adelaide, but that's besides the point, "And.... a-and I spent a lot of that time w-with my sisters makeup, s-since she left home..." She shrugged awkwardly, hands folding and unfolding on the table now, awkward and fidgitety still, but less terrified. Oh- Oh Addy!
She forgot to thank her! Eyes wide she looked to Faolan then back to the table, oh she'd screwed it up this time, once and for all! Nice going, Adelaide, you can't do one thing right! Just take a breath, and... "...T-Thanks..." See, it wasn't so hard, now was it?! The girl brushed a finger over her thumb to try calm her thoughts before they spiralled into being too self depricating, dragging herself back into the here and now- Faolan was speaking! The really nice and hot and pretty girl was speaking! Listen!
And... she was asking about Nymph? Her gaze softened, if there's one thing Adelaide loved more than coordinating, when she wasn't freaking out, it was her mons- dinosaurs and beefy creatures who she found gorgeous each in their own way. "I-It wasn't a contest, it- uh- w-was a... showcase, a little different- i-imagine showing off you mons moves in a performance- I... uh- s-sung...." She had been so utterly nervous, and had changed it last minute from a siren song to for the dancing and the dreaming, which she thought had been a decent pick! "Nymph... N-Nymph is Clauncher's name, she's... u-uh my closet partner- I performed with her and my A-Archen...Zinnia, a-and Primrose... my Bayleef... a-and Lupine w-was there too- o-oh, and Azalea!"
Her phone was taken out and she managed to find a group picture, a tiny Adelaide shadowed by a huge Bayleef and Archen, while a Large bagon seems to be tugging on her pants, a Togetic flies behind her and she's holding Nymph with a soft, proud grin on her face. She seemed ambarresed though when she assumed she showed it for too long as made the whole convo about her and shook er head a few times- uh- uhmmm- uhhh- "W-What about you?? What, uhm... p-partners do you have??"
"That is a good way to practice, though I'm not particularly fond of glue myself," She rubbed her fingers lightly over the edge of her own lashes, which aren't terribly thick with mascara but look healthy all the same. "Growing up I used to not have that much; thinned out because of the false ones I would put in all the time. But I was told that's just another caveat of being beautiful." Advice she doesn't really take nowadays, though she still found herself doing her own makeup from time to time. Maybe somday she'll go cold turkey completely.
As Adelaide listed off the little tidbits of information surrounding showcases, something she still wasn't familiar with - though Arceus knew it was talked about a lot where she was from - Faolan nodded along as she spoke, paying attention to the pokemon species and names the girl lists. She knew of a few of them, barely, through the books she'd read on pokemon (though skimmed was more like it, unless they were types she was particularly curious about) and felt a smile tugging at her lips at the name Primrose, remembering the girl she had done a job with earlier in the month.
And then Adelaide was asking her a question about her own partners and she thought for a moment before answering. It looked like a few people around them were already getting up? Were the dates already over? Odd.
"I have two so far; a terribly shy Charmander named Fembra, and a Torchic that's a little too big for his age named Reddy, since he's always ready for anything." She thinks to the others she has. The Carvanha was a good addition, though she hadn't quite gotten around to naming him just yet. "And then a Carvanha and a Chingling, both of which I haven't given names yet. I'm not terribly creative when it comes to things like that, so I've been holding off for a bit."
Post by Adelaide Gladstone on Feb 27, 2020 12:16:28 GMT
Oh?! Her eyes... thinned out because of glue lashes?! Would hers thin out- or fall out?! What would she look like without lahses, would people even like her if she didn't have lashes- or did she put too much on, was that obvious? Was she wearing too much makeup!? What did she do- uh- uhm... speak, Adelaide! "T-Thin eyebr- I mean eyelashes are f-fine!" A soft headshake, "B-But, my sister would agree- I w-wouldn't- of course! You can b-be pretty without makeup- or- or good looking- even?! N-Not specifically you- I mean- like- anybody???"
Nailed it again, Addy. Perfect speech, you'd win over all of Arciel with words like that, truly, a genius was work. She could leave right now and never be seen again, start a new life in another region with contests, it wasn't too late! The girl deflated in her seat, cheeks reddening. If Tawny were here she'd tell her to woman up and probably some other lewd things- she always was so forward!? With how to get people?! She was jealous.. how could Tawny just... be like that...
Faolan began speaking again and Adelaide brought her gaze to the girls, mew, her team sounded cute?! And- ad she cared so much about them! Or at least, it sounded like she did, maybe, probably- sorta?? She knew them well, yeah. "T-They... sound really cute- i'm.. i'm sure... sure t-they'll have good names when you think of them!" Go Addy, that time wasn't so bad! Now c'mon, think of something else, while you're still alive, don't let the talking fall flat on it's face and die!!!
"D-Does... work?" ADELAIDE. NO. Her face reddened- no. Okay breathe, try again- try again- "U-Uhm, sorry- I mean- uh- does- d-do you work? Job- do you have... a job? And- a-and stuff? Y-You look really strong- like- sailor girl levels of strong- n-not that you're a sailor girl- sorry- you could be like- uhm- a..." Think, your once chance of saying something! What sort of job would be complimentary and works off strength?! And don't let the silence linger, you've got this! "A... u-uhm... a... b-bodyguard for a r-really exclusive e-event?!"
"I think I'm all right with them now," She said, with a wry smile. "Moreso since they've grown out and I don't look so sickly anymore." That had been a dark time. Well, maybe not so much, since there were few that would have told her that directly to her face.
"I don't think I'm that strong, nor do I think I'd be suitable as a bodyguard. I think I just... hike a lot? Walk a lot? I don't ride or fly anywhere, so a lot of my travelling in Arciel is done on foot." She liked to think the girl was starting to calm down a bit, or at least she wasn't as bad as when their little "date" had first started out, but she couldn't tell. She hadn't been around people like her all that often, so she wasn't exactly sure if there was something she should be doing or saying to try and reassure her, or to just let it run its course.
"I... don't have a job, no," She confessed, not really sure how much detail she wanted to go into. It wasn't untrue, at the very least. "I've done a few small temporary things here and there, but I don't have any kind of income coming in." Maybe that was something the other girl was looking for? Someone with money? It would make sense, given the coordinator lifestyle but was also kind of... not so good. It reminded her a little of the people she ran around with in Galar, and it was enough to make her fidget uncomfortably and peer around at the people getting up, shifting in their seats to prepare for the next round of dates.
"I don't think I'm quite what you're looking for, here."

Nooo Faolan looks strong! They'd be a great bodyguard!! Or like, a fashion bodyguard- or just- a pretty one... just a pretty... guard? Person- sailor. Oh! Hike! "A h-hiker works too???" Had she offended Faolan in some way?! Oh- oh arceus- somebody help. Her hands began pulling and pushing at her hair, partially to try and puff it up, and more-so because she felt this girl... probably didn't like her very much. Maybe it was a hunch, or the way she didn't seem to understand what Addy was saying- how could she make herself better? How could she compared to the girl infront of her?!
Her next words had Addy nodding, followed by, "...I...I...barista... part-time- t-that's...a job... for me..." Even though it wasn't asked. Her voice was soft and she noticed other people beginning to move, the sound of an alarm ringing in the back of her mind. "I-It's fine to not have money coming in- t-there's plenty of rewarding tings- maybe- around he-" She cut herself off then, lowering her head, unable to figure out what she was trying to say, and instead moved to puffing at her hair again, her breathing becoming a little more rapid. She hated her. This girl hated her. The rest of her dates were going to hate her because she was so bad at conversation and then go to the police and report her for- uh- being a general nuisence, and then the magazines would- would-
'I don't think I'm quite what you're looking for, here.'
Her gaze flicked up to Faolan, eyes wide. Not what she's looking for?! Her mouth opened and closed, frantically seeking out words- why did that feel like a punch? What was this girl assuming about her?! "N-No??? I'm not- i'm not looking for anything- i was dragged here a-and like- i'm- y-you're a pretty girl am I not allowed to talk to a -pretty girl?! Did I do something wrong to make you think that?? I swear I didn't mean any o-offense i've been trying r-really hard to make conversation- uhm- uhm- c-can I do anything to make it better??' People were getting up and Adelaide shrunk in on herself, her breathing getting worse until she managed to push herself up from her seat, eyes searching the room.
"I-I'm sorry- i.... I'm... N-Now they're all going to hate me- and- a-and you... and... I..." If anybody looked at her they were not going to see the pretty girl in a metallic slip dress- she had- she had more dates to go on- more to do?! Adelaide- Adelaide put yourself together. Eyes flicked to Faolan and she bowed her head. "S-Sorry... I-I'll leave you- then- s-sorry..."
"They're not all going to hate you," She said, probably kinder than she'd thought she was capable of being. "And even if they did - does it really matter? For people that don't even know your name, or what you've done, I don't think their opinions should matter in the slightest." She took note of the tables around her the way people were getting up from their tables with different farewell gestures; the more successful dates lingered overlong, gazing at each other and debating whether or not to part ways, while the ones that hadn't been so lucky gave each other awkward waves or some such before quickly darting into the crowd.
Faolan wasn't sure what this particular date was. It had started out well enough, she supposed, and that was something.
It struck her then that maybe Adelaide, in her infinite awkwardness, had asked her what she had done for a living so they had another topic of conversation to work off of. Especially since the girl volunteered her own work information not long after. But Faolan was still wary, and so it was probably understandable that the smile she gave Adelaide wasn't quite her softest, but it was still pretty okay.
"It would probably be best if we did part ways here, though - I think that's what everyone else is doing," She pointed out, gesturing to the bodies milling all about.

Adelaide could only fidget on the spot at the girls words- they all would hate her, it'd happened before and it could very, very easily happen again. And the fact Faolan didn't specify that she specifically didn't hate Adelaide already had the small brunette on edge. "...it...matters..." it was said softly enough, followed by a soft blink, "B-Because- image is everything- a-and if word gets out... w-who I am... then..." She shook her head, hands flying up to push at her dress- enough, Adelaide. Faolan seemed a bit more off-edge, a smile that Adelaide could have easily mistaken as a pity one was thrown and the girl in turn bowed her head. "....o...okay- yep- i...." A head was raised, followed by an uncertain hand, "...b-bye...?" and then, she fled after having ensured she wouldn't bump into anybody. Back into the crowd and away from the mess of an encounter she'd created. Wait was that rude?!! Oh my mew Adelaide!!
