Maple City Gym
Introduction
The Maple City Gym is devoted to the Grass-type. The Gym Leader, Kiran Chandra, is well-known for being very attuned to nature, and as such the Gym is not even a building, but a large fenced-in outdoor garden, the bulk of which is taken up by a hedge maze. There is a cottage near the entrance that houses a small reception area, and where Kiran waits between challenges.
Requirements
In order to challenge this gym:
Trial and Battle Combo
Unlike most Gyms in Arciel, the Gym Leader Battle is ultimately combined as part of the trial. This trial comes in the form of the hedge maze. It winds in such a way that there are 10 dead ends, and in one of them, Kiran awaits.
Upon registering and before entering the maze, you will choose one of your six Pokemon to keep with you. The other five are taken and hidden in 5 more corners of the maze. Three of Kiran's Pokemon will also be waiting in dead ends in the maze, while the other three will be kept with them. Finally, in one end, there will be a box containing 3 special berries which can be given to your Pokemon to reduce a battle by 100 words per berry used.
Post your character traversing the maze and [ roll ] (no spaces), then Mod Call. Depending on your roll, you will either find and be able to pick up one of your Pokemon, find and battle one of Kiran's lone Pokemon, find the box of berries, or find and battle Kiran. In order to pass the trial and Gym Challenge overall, you only need to defeat Kiran themself; the other three Pokemon are optional.
This means this is a trial of luck and intuition. When you encounter Kiran, you could be facing them 1 on 3 or 6 on 3, or anywhere in between. Your battle with Kiran will always be a single battle format, regardless of total numbers.

Note: Pokemon will be evolved to suit the challenger's level; only base forms are shown here.

Requirements
In order to challenge this gym:
- You must have at least 6 Pokemon at Lv10 or above.
- The party you bring must be within 10 levels of each other max.
- The hedges are 15 feet high, and keeping a Pokemon taller than this (that is, one that can see over the top) out while traversing the maze is considered cheating. However, taller Pokemon may be used for battle. The hedges are not wide enough to accommodate a Wailord, specifically, but other Pokemon should be fine.
- You must be familiar with and follow the Gym Battle rules.
