This was it. Marley had received his first gym badge! The thrill of it all was still running through him as he stepped through the doors of the League HQ in Bass City. He had been told he needed to come in and present this badge to them, right? He wasn't sure what to expect, but Marley strolled over to the front desk. "Hey there," he said, greeting the receptionist out front, "I was told to show ya this." He held out the badge for her to see. This was how you were supposed to do it, right? Back in Galar, if you won a gym badge, everyone knew about it already.

Marley couldn't help but grin as the receptionist went and processed his paperwork. This was it. He was finally being acknowledged as a proper trainer, well on his way to becoming something great. It was like winning that gym battle all over again. Sure, there weren't big crowds cheering for you here, but it was still a good feeling. His dream was becoming a reality.

As the receptionist handed him the paperwork, showing him his new rank, the Galarian beamed, giving her a polite bow. "Thank you so much Miss," he said happily, trying not to just jump for joy as he turned and almost swaggered out of the building.
