How would you describe yourself? Hi, my name is Sawyer. *flashy grin* I just recently moved here, as I think there could be some possibly for Devon Corp to be spread out this direction. I freelance for them and they are supporting my research into seeing if specially bred pokemon can help with the discovery of fossils. *pushes up glasses with a confident air* (He is a young criminal here to steal eggs and make money. He DOES NOT work for Devon Corp and has no interest in fossils, except for the money it can make him. He has recently moved to the area as a way to escape Fiend Corp in a neighboring region.) Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? I am interested in being a breeder because I highly enjoy attempting to create the perfect baby pokemon with the perfect set of starter moves. It is a great challenge! And then helping the pokemon grow up and evolve is greatly rewarding. (While he is interested in breeding pokemon, it is only to steal the egg and potentially sell it for profit or keep it for himself. He is a criminal and nothing more) Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? The Devon Corp sent me out here to investigate the susceptibility of the region to new breeding tactics applied to the mining of fossils. While breeding new and better pokemon is my passion, training them up to do a job comes next and that, I have found, is best done in this region. (He escaped to Arciel as he knew Fiend Corp would not follow him here or at least not many of them. He would be safe to continue doing what he's good at and raise his new, stolen egg. He DOES NOT work for Devon Corp.) What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. I have found my best attributes to be a balance between social and mental. Social because I am a huge people person. I enjoy talking to people about their interests and I frequently find their interests coincide with mine. *sly grin and wink* Mental because I use my intelligence to get my goals completed. (This response is true. He has aura abilities. He enjoys manipulating people and when he stumbles through conversations, people let their guard down and they are easier to take advantage of.) What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! Nothing! I'm perfect! *puffs out chest with big cocky grin* The one time I got beat up by the bully... *deflates as the memory creeps in* but you know the sun reflected off my glasses into my eyes!...? I totally could have taken him if it was inside or on a cloudy day! I don't even need these glasses! I mean... err... yeah I do!... (His weakness is that he is not strong. In actuality, he is particularly weak as he has focused on his aura abilities. While he is charismatic, he tends to say the first thing that comes to mind and can be a terrible liar.) What was your childhood like? How was school? My father was the leader of a criminal organization in another region, not that i joined it when I grew older or anything!... I don't really remember my childhood... I mean!... My family was beautiful! We had the whole, white picket fence with a dog named Rover. I got straight A's in school and math was my favorite subject. *take out a muddy picture of a yellow blob that maybe could be a dog and grins less than convincingly* (Here we Sawyer see slip some and give some factual information with his lie because a memory was creeping in. He has a hard time talking about his past as it was difficult for him. More in "Other Notes") How is your relationship with your family? Dad always said I didn't have a mom but like... who doesn't have a mom, ya know? Dad didn't say anything more on the topic of a mom so I would make one out of a pillow when I was a kid. You do what you can what you can to get by and Dad was straight -pissed.- So, I think my relationship with my family was a little.. um.. distant? (These weird random tangents are very common for Sawyer as he gets hooked on a memory before realizing it's not in his best interest to answer in this fashion. However, his mother was one of many that caught his father's attention which is why she is not in the picture and was described to Sawyer as not having a mom.) What do you like to do for fun? Pillow fights! No but seriously I enjoy playing games. All kinds. Board games. Video games. *rambles, totally charismatic* Card games. Pokemon games. Mental games. Social games. *winks* My favorite game is Life because it taught me the hardships of the real world, in a safe child-friendly format. (Another random tangent but factual. He enjoys games but he isn't necessarily good at them unless it's a social or mental game.) What are your feelings on romance? I'm game if you are! *increasingly wide grin* Does that get me more perks if I agree? *chuckles* I mean... not that I'm opposed either way, of course! I'm purely curious as this is the first interview that has requested sexual favors. Naughty naughty *tisks* (Sawyer is a flirt by nature. This is something he learned came in handy during criminal jobs.) What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. To steal all the things *laughs boisterously* But seriously! My short term goal is to get established here in Pine Town and get my breeding operation set up for Devon Corp. My long term goal is to have the best breeding operation in the region! I truly love pokemon and can't wait to breed the perfect pokemon. (He has been raised in the criminal world so it is hard for him to break away from that path, even now that he's in a different region. He does truly enjoy pokemon company but he also sees dollar signs when he looks at them.) If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? If I could be a pokemon I would choose to be a ditto because I could transform into anything I needed to be, at any given time! I could be a charizard one minute and an animated hammer the next. The possibilities are endless! *excited ranting!* (This is half true. There are other, darker pokemon that he felt fit him better but wouldn't have been appropriate to answer in this interview setting. However, ditto does fit his desire and ability to "change his face" and lie when needed.) What do Pokemon mean to you? Profit!... I can see you're confused, let me elaborate. *pushes glasses up nose in a totally non-criminal-like way, like an anime villain* I have been freelanced by *glances at palm* Devon Corp to breed a special line of pokemon to go into mines and pull out rare fossils. So by sending pokemon, and not people, into the mines we are making a profit! *grins reassuringly* (He still does not work for Devon Corp and while he does enjoy pokemon, he views them as a quick way to make a profit. He is a criminal and should not be trusted as he will take your pokemon and will try to convince them to do the crimes!) Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? I am totally legit. You know... Devon Corp just doesn't give out ID's to their freelancers. *grins* Is that the end of the interview? Were we going to finish this at your place or...? Height 6'2" Build Lanky, bean-pole Hair Color Light blue Eye Color Ice blue | Sawyer is tall for a man of his age and so thin one would think he could hide behind behind a grain of rice. He is pale and it looks like he has never seen the light of day. He has light blue hair and ice blue eyes. He typically wears collared shirts as to appear formal and fool people into a false sense of security. He occasionally wears a loose tie with the shirt if he's feeling a big job coming on. He always wears glasses to complete the ensemble but this is not needed as his vision is fine. He finds people trust his opinion more if he's wearing them and he can pull the "I can't see without them" card. He typically wears jeans and sneakers for comfort and quick get always, unless a big job requires different apparel. He has a tattered wallet full of "family photos" which contain generic pictures of people who he can pass off as relatives. Aura A pink and yellow cloud swirls surrounds Sawyer. The swirling seems to grow more intense when he is in a tight spot or with a partner. Occasionally blue sparks can be seen throughout this cloud, timed well with his intelligence and critical thinking skills. He has an average sized aura. |

His mother was one of many that caught his father's attention which is why she is not in the picture and was described to Sawyer as not having a mom. Due to this Sawyer had a rocky relationship with his father and no mother figure. Dad was the leader of Fiend Squad (the regions criminal organization) and opted to home schooled Sawyer. As such Sawyer picked up many useful tricks in this unusual environment. He occasionally overheard whispers of talk about "extra training" but never really knew what those meant. He did feel himself noticing people's emotions all the time and this seem to grow more with added training. Sawyer ended up growing a fondness to the psychic pokemon around him in the lab as a result. He had his own room right next to the restricted eggs! That's how much his dad loved him! On his 16th birthday his father told him his training was complete and he felt it! His connection to the emotions of those surrounding him was intense and it gave him an advantage. He was ready to steal pokemon in the name of the Fiend Squad. Sawyer proceeded to do his father's bidding for a many years before he decided "Hey, why am I doing something for Dad when I can do this better for myself and I can make more money." So, he teamed up with a friend to steal a rare egg they had been order to steal by Fiend Squad. However, his friend had a sudden change of heart and betrayed him after they had stolen the egg. Sawyer has escaped to Arciel but members of Fiend Squad are still right on his heels as he runs through the region with this rare egg. Sawyers first stop in the Arciel region is to visit at the Birch City Lab to pick up a starter pokemon from Professor Holly as his original companion pokemon was truly loyal to Fiend Squad and did not follow him here. Since Sawyer has sacrificed his physical health in the name of aura prowess, as such he has become a scrawny bean. Due to the theft of a rare egg from the leader of the criminal organization in the Novac region (also known as Sawyers father), Sawyer is on the run and has changed his name.
