Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself? "Ah... My name's Liam Odhrán. I'm 22, work as a Ranger, and moved to Arciel from Kalos about a year ago," Liam starts out. Um... "I guess if I have to tell you who I am in say, ten words or less, I'd say... I'm reliable, hard-working, determined. I have a strong sense of justice, and can maybe be a bit stubborn, which is good and bad." He stops a moment, blinks, then looks down and counts on his fingers. "That uh... wasn't actually ten or less but, you get the idea." He laughs sheepishly. Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? At this question, Liam blushes a little. "Ah, well... You see, when the Ultra Beasts attacked some years back, I was caught in a fire and nearly died. It was the local Rangers who saved me, and I want to be able to do something meaningful like that with my life now, too, you know...?" Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? "Heh. This one's kind of silly, but um... Before I decided to become a Ranger, I always kinda wanted to be a Coordinator. I loved watching Showcases in Kalos growing up, and fell in love with Contests too when I discovered them. Battling AND beauty? They were?" He made a chef kiss gesture. "Arciel was willing to take in a fresh ranger with no real training AND has both Contests and Showcases I can try in my spare time, so it's wonderful." He wouldn't mention that Project Chimera was also a draw to the region for him. What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. Liam smiles brightly. "Ah! Well I already mentioned some, did I not? I'm diligent and loyal when I set my mind on something. I suppose... I'm pretty friendly and outgoing as well, and can deal well enough with most people. I'm becoming a fair trainer lately. And ah, I guess I'm pretty good looking?" He flashed a sheepish smile. "Maybe less so without a shirt, unless you're into burn scars. But?" He shrugged. "I guess some people are? And I was lucky enough to get out with my pretty face unharmed, so yeah~" What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! Oh. Oh no. A tinge of blush came back. "Hm.. Ah. I guess I can be... a little bit of an 'airhead' sometimes, if I'm being honest. Like I'm pretty smart! But sometimes I miss the forest for the trees, you could say. And I probably haven't been the most stalwart of friends in the past, being a little flaky and fair-weather... Not that I mean to be, of course! I'm just not the best at keeping in touch, especially when my schedule doesn't conveniently align with someone else's regularly. I can always be called on in a pinch, but I might forget your birthday, too, heh..." He rubbed the back of his neck a bit. What was your childhood like? How was school? "Both were fine. I was never the most popular kid, but I had enough friends. My parents were pretty wealthy, so I grew up not wanting for much except maybe more excitement? I guess I was kind of sheltered, like they wouldn't let me get a Pokemon. And then it, maybe ah, took me a few years after I turned 18 to realize I could do it now if I wanted, ha... But yeah. Overall things were fine." How is your relationship with your family? "They're okay now! I'm an only child, so things were a bit strained when I 'ran away' from home and didn't call or anything for a while. But eventually I broke down and contacted my parents again, and after chewing me out a little they forgave me pretty quickly, so I talk to them now and then now. We've never been super close, but I try to call at least? Maybe once or twice a month? Give or take." What do you like to do for fun? Oh hmm... "Well, I like training with my Pokemon, but that's probably a given, huh? Um... I like watching coordinating stuff on tv. Going out on dates or out with friends is always fun." What else? Um... "I don't know! Ahaha. I'm sure I do things, but when asked I feel like I must be kind of boring..." Oh well. What are your feelings on romance? "Oh hm uh. I guess vaguely positive to... slightly confused? I've had partners before, and like I said going out on dates is always fun. But I've never had anything too serious, so I'm--" Actually maybe the interviewer didn't need to explicitly know he was a virgin. "...inexperienced, I guess, with a lot of it. Definitely open to the idea, but just never really had a strong 'spark' with anyone so far, I guess." What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. "Mostly, I just want to be a great Ranger and help lots of people, and ideally squeeze in some contest and/or showcase wins along the way! Of course I also want to keep raising my Pokemon to be the best they can be, so that's a longterm goal too." Also, you know, helping save the world from idiots who thought keeping an invention like the Beast Ball a private affair was a good idea. But ideally going about acquiring it with as little illegal activity as possible, given he WAS still serious about being a good Ranger. It didn't mean he had to respect every single law all the time, though. If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? Liam stares blankly for a moment, trying to think. "Oh wow... I really don't know! There are so many I like, but none that really stands out like, yes, that's me, you know...? Ah... I suppose if Legendary Pokemon are on the table for this hypothetical, I've always really admired Meloetta, and the tales of it being so graceful in both forms, but in such different ways. But ah, it's probably too conceited to say I'd BE one... Maybe if there was a Pokemon that was to Meloetta what Carbink is to Diancie?" What do Pokemon mean to you? "They're friends and partners, of course!" Liam exclaimed. "I'm sure you've heard this speech a million times, though, no?" He laughed lightly. He'd given the interviewer more than enough to work with, he felt, so rambling something probably every other person or more said practically word for word seemed silly. Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? "I don't think so! Thank you for hearing me out today!"

Appearance

Liam isn't the biggest or strongest Ranger around, having more of a runner's or swimmer's build if even that. Still, he's built up some muscle since leaving home. He tends to take fair care of his appearance, wearing his hair tucked up in a bun to keep it out of the way while working but also flared a bit stylishly, and tending toward nicer clothes unless he knows he's going to be doing a lot of dirty work. Sometimes if he's feeling "cute" he might wear his hair in pigtails and/or put in some earrings and/or wear a little light makeup, but generally he only does this if he thinks someone he's looking to impress might appreciate the look. His eyes are primarily blue-green, but flecked with some pale yellow highlights that come through in the right lighting. He has a number of burn scars across his legs, arms, and torso from a fire during the UB attacks, as well as a small patch of much fainter scars from a coffee incident. Aura Liam's aura is predominantly shades of brown, fading into a reddish tone closer to his core. Soft pink wisps swirl through it like thin lines of smoke.
