Irina was a rather... oblivious person. She went about days not really caring what she did, as long as she saw pretty sights and could play with all the puppie and kittens. Sometimes she loved drawing them too! She was a simple girl, really, but she didn't understand just how much more to life there was than these simplicities. She'd been going about her day, excited to check out a botanical garden place her sibling had told her about, walking behind Puppy with an excited grin to her face...

When she had heard something- no- somebody. A call for help. Irina usually ignored these things, not that she didn't want to help, but that she very easily got distracted and was aware of this, but... then she got told what she was helping with. A big no-legged kitten needed help getting a bath. Irina ahdn't had very many chances to wash pokemon, especially not kittens! So, she was super excited to help!

There was a pep to her step, an excited giggle in her throat, and the plans she had for the pretty botancal gardens had been skipped. Irina had more important plans, a chance to play- err- clean a big cat. A very big cat... a peculiar one... with... whiskers and a snarl... but still!

She had shown up to the job in wellies and a coat, hair pulled back in a bun. She was told everything would be supplied to wash the big kitten- but... as she was shown by the man to where the Gyarados was... Irina was sure this was more than a big kitten- it was a fully grown adult water cat! In a huge, massive pool...

Puppy, a fire type, took a few cautious steps back. Oh no.

"Soo.... is there anything I should keep in mind, sir?" Irina turned to the owner, head tilting in curiosity. This couldn't be that hard, surely!

"Just be careful! He's a big one!"

The Gyarados emerged from the pool, and oh boy was he a real whopper! This thing had to be at least 30 feet long, and with coils that dwarfed Irina by comparison. And she was supposed to wash this thing? No wonder his trainer needed to pay someone to do the heavy lifting for him! Nevertheless, there were no actual complications here. Just absolute units.

Just be careful? Oh! Irina could be careful! The girl gave a big, enthusiastic nod in response. "I'll try my best!" Of course... Puppy let out a soft whine. That was like, nothing for Irina to go off, especially since she had never even washed him before! But still, the dark haired girl practically radiated confidence. It was just a huge, massive, legless kitten with massive whiskers- how hard could washing him be>

And there was a garage with thankfully a bunch of soaps, and suds... to start, she had to get the pokemon all soapy, tight? Irina rushed over to where everything was, gathering the soap detergent in a bucket and swooshing it around for amoment, searhing for the biggest sponge she could find before all but giddly approaching the pool.

"Kitty! Come here! I've got a super pretty, soapy sponge with your name on it!" That was obviously the best, and only way to call a Gyarados to you before you clean them. Call them a kitty and try and act like the soap is a treat rather then like, actual soap. irina truly was the master of pokemon washing.

It seems like Gyarados doesn't want to be washed! It would rather frolic and play in the pool. It breaches from the water and splashes down again, sending a wave of water at you.

Irina had been waving the sponge in the air but the huge cat ignored her, prefering to swim in the mammoth of a pool they were in. Irina stared at them for a moment, bringing the sponge over to her to look at it better... right. She was going to have to find a better way to go about this. As she was debating finding just... a huge stick or something there was the sund of something heavy hitting water, and Irina barely had time to react before the afteraffects of the pokemons splash effected her, the wave slamming into her bdy, absolutely soaking her and causing her to retreat a few steps.

A sputter. Irina was shocked! Kitties... this was no regular kitty. This was a heavweight pokemon who apparently really liked water. A watercat. And- and?! She could feel a shiver make its way up her spine. A soft, stuttered breath leaving her. Right. Kitty wanted to play hard to get. She moved one hand up to push her now soaked fringe from her face and took a glance back to Puppy, who was currently hiding behind some boxes so the water didn't get him.

She... had a plan. She was already soaked, so- uhm- maybe she could just wish for not so harsh splashes and she can do this! Now fuelled by determination Iri retreated to the shed, finding... a mop? But instead of doing the most sensible thing and using the mop to attempt to reach the Gyarados, using the ends of it to clean them... she skewered the sponge in the end and re-dipped it into the water. Good!

"Kitty!" Her call came again, as she once more moved to brave the edge of the pool. "You're really pretty- don't you wanna sparkle? I can help you sparkle!"

The Gyarados finally settles down again and frowns at you. Looking from his own scales back to you several times, he gives a low cry. Yeah, ok, maybe he does want them to shine like the stars in the sky.
