Tell us a little about yourself. How would you describe yourself? Honey sits up straight and proper. "My name is Honey Sugar." She sighs softly. "Yes, really, heh. Anyway, I'm an Astrobiologist and a single mom. If I had to summarize myself, I'd say I'm generally fairly serious, extremely hard-working, intelligent, disciplined, nurturing, and kind-hearted." Why are you interested in the class you've chosen? "The short answer is, the Ultra Beasts. The long answer is that I've actually always been fascinated with space, and had some interest in studying how life has developed outside of earth before, but when we learned there are other dimensions out there with full-blown Pokemon-like creatures? I want to learn everything we can about it!" Why are you interested in training in Arciel? Why not another region? "I've always lived in Arciel. And Ivy Town, for that matter. I don't really have any interest in moving. Besides, my daughter likes it here, too. I wouldn't want her to have to get used to a new place when we have a nice life here." What do you consider your best attributes? They can be physical, mental, social, or anything else. "I'd say my intelligence, my pragmaticism, and my ability to keep going toward my goals no matter what obstacles get in my way. Like when I got pregnant shortly after starting grad school, a lot of people expected me to drop out, but I managed to raise my daughter and finish school at the same time. I'd say that's pretty impressive." What do you consider your worst attributes? Be honest, now! Honey frowns softly and hums in thought. "I suppose I can be a little dull and boring to some people, and get wrapped up in my work to a point of neglecting my social life. Not my health or my daughter, though; I am at least that good at managing my time. I've had trouble reading situations at times as well, but I like to think I'm getting better at that." What was your childhood like? How was school? "It was all right. I always liked school. I was never popular, but I had a few good friends, and I loved learning. My home life wasn't quite as nice, but it wasn't terrible. My family was always lower class and struggled a little financially, but we got by, and I was able to get scholarships for school, so that was all that really mattered to me. My two older siblings were always closer to each other and tended to ignore me most of the time, but I liked being left alone, so it was fine."  How is your relationship with your family? At this, Honey purses her lips a moment and signs. "Well, my relationship with my daughter is good. The rest of my immediate family died in the Ultra Beast attacks, and I've never really known the more extended relatives, so..." She feigns a smile and shrugs. Truth be told, one of her siblings is still alive, but they're dead to her, and Honey finds it easier to just lump them in with the rest than explain her complicated feelings. What do you like to do for fun? "Ah..." Honey laughs lightly. "Well, I did say I could be boring, didn't I? Mm.. But no, I suppose... Aside from enjoying my work and spending time with Ginger, I like reading and just watching tv. I have a soft spot for romance and sci-fi. I'm not super big on Pokemon training for its own sake, but it can be sort of fun to dabble in now and then, too." What are your feelings on romance? Honey pauses, then sighs softly. "I don't really know anymore. Like I said, I have a soft spot for the idea of it, but my actual experience has been... less than ideal. The only really serious relationship I've ever had was with Ginger's father, and it didn't end well. So I'm not really sure if I want to pursue another serious thing someday or if I'm fine with just the occasional flirting and reading stories of romance, heh." Admittedly, she would like Ginger to have another parent someday, but she didn't feel that was necessary, just something that sounded nice. What are your goals for the future? Short-term and long-term. "Hm. I suppose short-term, I've really been needing to spend some time getting my Pokemon a bit stronger. Like I said, I'm not the most avid trainer, but I do want them to be strong Enough, you know? Long-term, I already said. I want to know the mysteries of space, the universe, and the multiverse! If the Ultra Beasts ever come back, I'd love the opportunity to study one, Not that I want them to come back, given the damage they did before. But that was hundreds, you know? I'm sure just one or two wouldn't be as devastating." If you could be a Pokemon, what species or typing would you choose and why? "Hm. I'd say... Maybe Hatterene? Heh. Of course it's much too tall for me." Her tone is briefly teasing and she smirks before becoming serious again. "But maybe a small one. Psychic types are appealing in general to an intellectual, but I too am irritated around people who are too outwardly emotional. Heh. Then again, Gardevoir is also appealing, but I don't think I could deal with psychic empathy." What do Pokemon mean to you? "They're... well, friends and partners, of course, but they're also... such advanced and fascinating beings. They represent all the amazing things we can achieve and everything we've lost at the same time. They're simply astounding." Anything else you'd like to tell us about before you go? She shakes her head. "I don't believe so. Thank you for your time." She stands and bows briefly before heading out.

Appearance

Honey is a petite little thing with modest curves. She has very pale skin dotted with freckles, especially across her cheeks and nose. She rarely if ever wears makeup. She has long, curly hair that is generally worn down or loosely pulled into a lazy ponytail for convenience. She tends to dress very nicely, favoring semi-formal office-like attire, or else dresses for comfort rather than fashion. It's suit-dresses and pants suits or pajamas and yoga pants with little in-between. She technically owns one pair of jeans but isn't sure when she last wore them. Aura Honey's aura is a pretty simple, smooth oval. The core is silver, fading gradually to light sky shades of blue to royal blue, and then rather more abruptly from that blue to teal and green around the outer edges. If you watch it closely, it seems to spin slowly, but the smooth shape makes this hard to notice.
