Marley watched as she reached into her bag, trying to find anything to trade him for the Snorlium Z. As she pulled out a couple of shards, Marley eyed them critically in the dark. On their own, shards were pretty useless. But, when you gathered enough, they could be quite helpful indeed. And, lucky for him, he had found a good number of them in his mining. These could be just what he needed.

He thought for a moment, flicking the Snorlium Z up and down for a moment or two before he made his decision. "Alright, I think I'll take the Cyan and the Pink, if ya don't mind," he said. The Snorlium Z was useless to him right now. But the shards were. He had read how they could be used to strengthen his pokemon, and he intended to do just that. "We got a deal?" he asked, holding the Z-stone out to her.

"Deal!"  Senara's smile felt more genuine as she took the cyan and pink shards and held them in one hand, returning the rest to her purse.  She then took the Snorlium Z from his hand and placed the shards into his empty palm.  Once it was in her grasp she couldn't help it; she giggled and held it up to the faint light of the stars and moon.  It was such a beautiful deep, dark peacock color, identical to that of, well, Snorlax.  To think that so much power was in such a tiny crystal.  She loved it.  This was the sort of thing she had gone to school for, had spent her life studying, and she finally had her hands on one!   Polochon was going to be spoiled rotten for this.  If he hadn't come along, cocky as he was, this never would have happened.  Baby Girl reached a claw up for the gem but she pushed the claw back down.  "Non, ce n'est pas pour manger. Vous êtes terrible." She wanted to keep staring at it but it was going to look kind of insane at some point, so she tucked it carefully away in her purse among her other precious things, then zipped the whole thing tightly shut.  "I'm going to spend way too long studying that," she giggled before looking back up at Marley, "Thank you so much.  This is going to be so useful!" "Ah," she glanced back up at the sky.  It was still black as pitch, of course, but the moon was closing in on the center of the sky.  Closer to midnight.  She needed to get a move on again or she wouldn't have made it too far before daylight broke and she rested.  "I've got to get back to hiking.  Maybe we'll see each other again in the mines, Marley?"  Part of her still wanted to ask about riding his Steelix to half the travel time, but at the same time that would be just one more thing she'd owe him for.  Once was enough, thank you. As Marley took the shards, he stuck them into his coat pocket. Excellent. That made two complete objects he had, all for the price on one. He could only think of who to use them on. But right now, there was the very, VERY happy Senara in front of him. The girl was just brimming with joy over getting this little treasure. Well, that was Marley's good deed of the day done with.

"You're very welcome," Marley said with a smile. At her statement about going on her way, Marley nodded. "Fair enough. nice meetin' ya," he said, before strolling back over towards Ironton. Brawly was already sitting on his back, waiting for him, as Marley climbed onto the massive Steelix. He gave the woman one last wave, before the massive pokemon started to slide away, the ground trembling lightly with its movements. Ironton was a curious mount, but you weren't going to have many people try to mess with him.
