John is Waverly's closet pokemon. She gained him when she graduated university and hatched him from an egg, and from there taught him all she knew about law. John is the closet thing to a best friend Waverly has ever had, and she is fine with it like that. Each hour she has a scheduled time to hug John, she claims it is for seratonin and oxytocin, however it's simply because she adores John and will take any excuse to showcase how much she cares for her friend, since she struggled to emote otherwise.

He also seems rather sweet towards her, almost protective? If another pokemon attempts to attack Waverly in his presence, they're done for. His quit whits in the court of law, and skilled intimidation when it comes to battling will leave even the toughest of foes at a loss.
