When the Ultra Beast attacked, it's not just humans that are wounded... Pokemons are too... There are times where someone lost their mobility... or sometimes even worse. There are too many things that best unspoken... the blond haired girl too, think that there are things that better left unsaid. Such as her leg condition... But not everything is gloom and doom. There are times when someone is fortunate enough to recover what they lost... such as Prados. Yes, Pardos... The Tropius got his wing shot when he was escorting Vert home about six years ago. The Tropius was recalled to his Pokeball before there could be any irreversible damage. Because his wings are made from leaves, apparently the doctor said he will eventually strong enough to take flight once more..
And that time is now.
"Prados, try to beat your wings slowly," Vert ordered.
The Huge Tropius tried to beats his wings slowly, just like before... Tropius' four wings works similarly to a dragonfly's. They can move independently in a pair, or four of them beating together for gaining higher altitude. The Tropius groaned, not in pain, but in effort to keep his wings beating. Strong gust of wind blew as the Tropius slowly hovered from his spot. He's almost ready to take flight. Once his legs has fully raised, the Tropius began to try holding that hovering for a bit more while, wings beating faster and faster. The air displaced now causes tons of debris flying around left and right. Vert giggled at the sight of her old friend slowly regaining his ability to fly.
"It'll be like walking again for the first time. I know how it felt, so it definitely will be alright, Prados... Let's take the skies again, like old time, shall we?"
The Tropius let out a jolly call of his own. It might take a bit while from "walking" to "running", the same way as "hovering" and "flying" is different, but even so, he will take the sky!

In his excitement, Prados unfortunately gone a bit overexcited and ended up falling to the ground with quite a loud thud. The Tropius sprawled on the ground, his eyes slightly blurry from the sudden impact. Vert covered her mouth in shock at the sudden fall.
"Prados! Prados, are you alright!?"
The Tropius blinked several times, and looked at his worried trainer. Rather than looking apologetic or even worried about her response, the Pokemon... laughed? He laughed, as if he just found that his fall was humorous. Vert cannot help but to giggle also. "Prados, you silly longneck grapevine. You nearly made me got heart attack there! ...Oh well..."
Take two. Take one was quite bad, but even so at least Prados was having fun. It seems that he was having fun because it 'feels like starting to walk again'. There's a glee in re-learning what you haven't been doing for years, and for some reason, knowing that you still can be good at it makes you happy... or at least, that's what it's like according to Prados. The Tropius once again beats his wings, but this time with Vert on the back of his neck. This time, he successfully took off and begin with a simple lap on the training ground. He's not as fast as before of course. It needs a little bit more training for him to achieve his old speed, but even so, he's steadily going at it.
Steering Prados is a bit hard with her leg condition, so Vert ended up having to put on a support chair and steering bridle. This would be different in the past. The girl only needed to get a saddle and stirrup and all would be fine, but... there are changes that can't be helped, she guess.
"Is it comfortable, Prados?" Vert asked. The Tropius let out an affirmative groan. It doesn't necessarily felt bad. "All good then!"

Ah, much better this time around! Vert brings Prados up for several laps across the training ground. "This will be learning experience for both of us I guess. Now this is the time that we try a bit of our old tricks, are you ready, old pal?"
Prados affirmed with another groan. He flew faster now. While not as fast as Salamence or many kind of Pokemons, Tropius are still a great flier. They're probably more stable than fast, and they have more stamina. Turning wise, they're pretty good. They however won't quite able to do aerial dogfight, which is fine, because that's not what their role is about anyway.
Vert brought Prados to ring ranges. She purposely picked ones with rings big enough for him. If it's too small, of course he would have problems passing it, and it could be dangerous for both of them. Now, for the first ring... Vert put on her seat belt just to secure herself. First, to go straight through the ring! Afterward, a bit of a tug to raise up to the next ring... and a bit of a squeeze with the stronger leg to order him to go lower! ...So far so good...

And eventually, Vert ordered for him to go few acrobatics like the old time. It's a bit hard being strapped like this, but she can't help but to enjoy it! It just felt like the old times when she was better! Now that she's sure that Prados could fly like before, she ordered him to land. The training has finished, and now he's ready to ferry her once more.
