A sound of beating wings could be heard from far away. A Tropius, a huge one at it, took flight from nearby Fuji Town to the area behind it, route 9. On top of it is a woman in her late teens, on what looked like a chair, strapped on top of it. on the sides of the Tropius are empty baskets while on his chest are basket, fully secured with eggs inside. No idea why on earth these Pokemon eggs need to be walked for them to hatch, but not that it's a strange sight by now...
"As much as I want to take my time for the sight and enjoy the scenery more, I guess we should get as much as we can over here and return home, don't you think, Prados? I hope we can get berries, although the chance of that seem to be quite low..."
The duo regardless resumed their little trek. There's not much to do over here, other than probably let Prados do his things, and hope that he'll find berries... Whether yay or nay they goes to the next civilization over... well, that's to be decided for the meantime!
Oh, how curious, a Chikorita trying to learn vine whip? If she recalls it correctly, unless one of its parents knows any Vine Whip, it won't have any Vine Whip at all... Strange, but it's true. She guess she's too used in seeing Chikorita with one. But even so, this one is a hard worker... it made her heart strings tugged when she saw it!
"Prados, get down a bit, alright?"
To catch it, or to not catch it... Well for the meantime Vert just want to see what this Pokemon is up to! Come come! She took off her seat belt and slides down the Pokemon's neck. Amazing how the Chikorita does not notices her approaching, or Prados for that matter. Quite the serious one isn't he?
"You don't have to pull it to an arc that far," Vert would call out. The Chikorita jolted, finally noticing that he's not alone. "Sorry for surprising you. Were you training by yourself?" oof, her leg is acting again. Vert can't help but to sway a bit from the pain. "Mind if I give you some pointers? Let's see... Vine whips aren't really good for catching your enemy off guard, so you have to attack then first, make them flinch or delay their attack, and then vine whip. If I were to slap someone by swinging my hand first, I think they would notice and stop me mid slap, right? That's the idea..."
The Chikorita looked confused, but he seem to take Vert's advice, tackling and then using the recoil to do a vine whip.
"Yep, just like that. Would you like to come with us? I know there is a swarm but I still can't help but to feel like... our meeting here is much more special than meeting in swarm, sorta? What do you say?"
Ah, too bad, they had no interest in coming with her... Well, so be it. Vert just shrugged. Not her luck today it seems! She walked back to Prados, who lowered his neck for her. The moment she saddled it up, he would slowly rose his head until she's back to her chair, and strapped herself again. "Right, looks like it's not our lucky day, Prados! Time to continue our little journey and hope for the best!"
Once everything is secure, the two of them would take the sky once again, trying to look for new Pokemons to recruit, or berries. Yes, berries. Berries stocks are seriously thinning, and Vert really need to get more berries for expanding her farm, and to obviously to get her next class promotion. Apparently she need to harvest at least thrice, and to get at least four hybrids. That's pretty easy, but the time needed is like six weeks... That's so long... If only she could buy two field, that'd be awesome...
Maybe if she becomes a well known farmer she could buy two... one in Fuji and another in Cherry. Vert's Party: Prados (Tropius) Lv 5 5/5 (Full Health) (HARVEST ON) Eevee Egg 3/5 Phantump Egg 3/3 Deerling Egg 3/3 Gossifleur Egg 3/3 Fomantis Egg 3/3
Tag: This lil guy has a crippling fear of thunder storms, and the only way to calm him is to hug him to yourself and pat him gently. In order to undo this tag, you must reassure him 5 times in a social / journey thread or spend at least 500 words in the training ground helping to clam his nerves.
Oh dear. Just as she thought the day would not get any better, suddenly she smelled something on the air... The unmistakable smell of something going on in the air. That smell is.. the smell of first drops of rain hitting the ground. Yeah, it's raining. Drats! "Prados, keep your head down, we're touching down. We can't fly when it's going to rain like this!"
Prados agreed with a loud cry of his own. He landed on the ground and kept himself as low as possible to avoid being struck by any lightning. Vert quickly sheltered herself down Prados' wings. She won't get far in this sort of weather with her leg Prados is too big meanwhile for passing through the route with his size... Oh dear... at times like this she's reminded how fortunate she was to have normal legs in the past... but it's not a time to be sighing either, because she saw... a Bulbasaur? He's huddled down under a tree, shaking like a small child... Oh honey... Vert who saw that immediately came closer to the Bulbasaur...
Just right when a thunder strikes. YIKES! The Bulbasaur though is far more afraid. The poor thing practically almost close to pass out. This reminds her of that day when Agate developed fear toward ghost Pokemon.
"Oh honey, come here... here, let me hug you alright? Shhh, shhh, it's ok, it's really OK...Here, scoot closer to us," Vert gently carried the Pokemon to where Prados is and cradled him. Poor Bulbasaur looked so scared... Prados gently pulled them closer with his wing, closer to his body. Vert gently strokes the Bulbasaur's head as she hugged him.
"Here, here... you'll be alright... It's fine, don't worry... I'll be here close with you alright? Don't worry now, you'll be fine... The thunder won't hit you... It might be loud, the flash might be scary... but just listen to my voice, alright? Calm down, it's OK... I'll be here with you"
...Mmm, this is hard... They should probably move somewhere with a cave... But with her leg condition like this and Prados too big to walk quickly...
"...Hey, would you want to enter this Pokeball?" Vert asked the Bulbasaur. "It's less scary inside than outside... You can rest until we found the right place for you to get a shelter... I'm sure it'll be fine and we can pass through this!" attempting befriending the Bulbasaur with a Pokeball! Prados (Tropius) Lv 5 5/5 (Full Health) (HARVEST ON) Eevee Egg 4/5 Phantump Egg 3/3 Deerling Egg 3/3 Gossifleur Egg 3/3 Fomantis Egg 3/3
Today hasn't been all that great huh... Vert sighed. She wondered if she's being too busy with her invitations... Maybe she should tone it down somehow? Oh well... It can't be helped. For the moment all that's important is she should somehow try to shelter herself from this rain...
"Prados," she called out her trusted Pokemon. There's no other way. They will move from this place while trying to stay on the ground as low as possible. The image will be scary, but it's probably better than being a sitting duck over here. The brontosaur-like Pokemon immediately moved. He's much slower on the ground due to his size. Ducking down while making sure he's lower than trees when he's usually almost as tall as them is hard thing to do. His wingspans also caused him problem as it brushes against treetrunks... It's annoying...
"Sorry Prados, if only my leg aren't like this..."
The Tropius let out a low groan, as if telling her that it's fine... Little did they know though... the eggs inside the basket are starting to hatch... Eevee egg: 5/5 Phantump: 3/3 Deerling: 3/3 Gossifleur 3/3 Fomantis 3/3
